Engineers have always been good in PvP/WvW but they are significantly harder to play at good efficiency. Maybe that is your problem OP?

Yes, it will effect condition builds negatively. That is fine though, as engineers and necromancers condition builds are too strong in WvW.

As for Romek, the matchup system was different at launch, servers always fought those in close proximity on the leaderboards. Guess what? There were many blowouts and the matches grow really stale with having to fight the same two servers for months. The problem is not as easy as you make it out. Besides, fighting outnumbered is only an issue when you blob 24/7. I used to enjoy the debuff back when SFR was medium server

No we don’t. We need to make better use of the music we have. It’s not like that other game has more songs, it’s that there’s plenty of songs that you’ll hear once, or never at all. The facts that memorable zones such as capitals have no associated songs, or that sometimes inappropiate songs pop up don’t help either.

Besides, most updates saw the addition of more music (Halloween & Christmas songs, SAB songs, Southsun’s Theme…)

I had a similar problem with a guy whispering me silly racist stuff but ignore function blocked every single way for him to bother me (not including /emote and /team as I didn’t test them).

Zerg armor is probably a misspelled Zerk (short for Berserker) armor that has the power, precision and critical damage statistics on it. While it is one of the most efficient at mob-killing, I wouldn’t suggest going for it primarily as it leaves you defenseless since it has no defensive statistics (vitality, toughness). Not only that, but since low level items have only one or two stats you won’t ever find a piece named “Berserker”.

So in short if you are having troubles with mobs, pay a visit to some heart vendors (the NPCs with a heart symbol on the map will sell you things after you complete their quest) and get up to your level blue or green gear. For stats, try to go for a medium amount of power, precision vitality and toughness. You might also want to buy the gear off the Trading Post if you have some silvers to spare.

Keep in mind though that while equipment helps, your playstyle is the key factor to success (or demise :P). Stay away if you are using a ranged weapon, use good leveling skills, dodge big attacks, don’t over-aggro…

As for unknownhr post, the flaw is in the fact that if your server is deserving of the first spot it should have no problems facing SFR with a third weak server. Just as we can feast on their points, so can you. Was it that hard to figure out?

I’ve done 74 fractals. 64 of those fractals were a mix of 10+ and 20+. I have never, I repeat NEVER gotten one ascended ring.i would love to get a ring. I ended up having to get my rings with laurels because they never drop for me. On the same note, my friend who does fractals with me ALWAYS gets an ascended ring at the end of our run. Sometimes he gets infused ones too. I guess I am just one unlucky ducky.

I just don’t get candy-coats things and can’t help but laugh at finger-pointers or clueless guys jumping in to enlighten us with their knowledge supreme the second we aren’t kicking their kitten .

@ Dayra : I also choose random forum posters to form my image of opposing servers. It’s a very smart procedure, especially when I pick the worst posters to motivate me. For example everytime I stomp a player from Elona is extra-satisfying because of you or GH GvG heroes. Milo is for piken while every french necromancer is a kingface.

Nobody is asking for “competitive balance” in a wacky minigame about mindless brawling for fun. And who is raging? I see pretty relaxed posts. Thing is though that me (and others apparently) don’t find it fun when the balance gap is so wide that a frog has to stand still 1 sec to perform his melee autoattack while the mad king dazes people aoe for 3 sec on a 6 sec cd.

And nobody is trying to say this should be Arenanet priority, but it’s an issue (unless you think otherwise) and it is being voiced.

It’s a good wake up call

Because for some reason I was thinking about the comparison, and to me it’s fitting. Alone they aren’t that great ( not generalizing, every server has good/bad players ) but their hivemind-like coordination and dedication makes them achieve great things.

And do the 30 minutes a day to mine Ori/Ancient also give you the 60+ globs of ecto and 60+ T6 mats needed to level up one profession?

Champion Farming in Frostgorge does that very quickly. Atm, I have enough Ori, Ecto from salvaging drops and T6 materials to craft another proffesion to 500. I just lack Ancient Wood, they don’t drop from salvaging that often as Ori

And @ Alhen, please don’t use the word effort. The only effort you put in to get ascended gear is in enduring running around a map pressing 1 (champ farm) or F (gathering) for hours, get off your high horse.

I will not PvE. I use Lion’s Arch as a portal for WvW and PvP. I will not participate in PvE no matter what you say or do to cajole me into it. I simply refuse.

This means I cannot get World Completion and cannot craft Legendaries. It also means that my income is at best 30% of what it could be if I played PvE. Too bad.

The more you try to force people into doing things they don’t want to do, the more they will resent it – and leave without telling you why.

I am doing you the courtesy of telling you why.

Bedtime for me, was a good reset with some nice skirmishes with piken and vizunah in the ruins. Must really compliment my french friends on their organization and determination, they are pushing HARD and in fact, leading right now. Hats off, but the match has just started.

I spent 1h of relaxing time upgrading stuff, escorting dolyaks and building siege. After that I was like “NOW I WANNA KILL SOME STUFF” and then there was a perfectly synchronized attack of Piken at greenlake and Vizunah at bay. I ran into bay, hammer in hand..and then I crashed.

Interesting story I know, but the queues are long and I gotta do something. See you in Vizunah border, possibly stealing north camp!
