Betas are like ghost accounts of your real one so you can still see your achievements, friends list and wardrobe but you can’t chat in guild or use the trading post.

Also Anet have only ever made GW1 and 2 they have no other games in their name NCSoft however they publish many games.

They keep saying once they have a date we will have a date but apparently so many people in the GW2 community can’t understand that sentence remember betas will determine the release date and I for one believe them with this beta testing has just become marketing gimmicks companies don’t use them to test the game for release and it saddens me this is a great practice and I welcome it sure I don’t want it to be next year but as long as the expansion launches with very little problems I’m a happy bunny.

Emm elite specs are not connected to masteries its hero points that unlock them.

Only if your account was created before the expansion announcement yes you have a chance at a refund but the gems and everything else have to go with the refund spend any of them gems then its highly unlikely.

Correct as Anet have stated many many times and apparently people don’t understand the words “We don’t have a release date yet once we have one you will have one” how many times do anet need to say this.

Actually they did say every patch day till HoT we will get balance patches now they didn’t promise content but balance updates were a given so they can focus on the elite specs after HoT comes out.

I want to be able to test the freak’in bloody release date is what I want.
Come on Anet stop stawling and going to shows. The last thing I wanna see is the bloody 1st birthday of the announcement of the expansion and still without a re;ease date. Soon it’s gonna be your 3rd year working on this and for what 5 zones maybe.

How many times do Anet need to say it they don’t have a release date yet once they have one we will have one stop rushing them I for one want this expansion to be complete and not half done because people are pressuring Anet for a release date.

Its one at the release of expansion but I’m guessing both Elite specs and masteries can be added with live update (LS, Feature Packs, etc)

I don’t know if this is where I put feedback but one thing I’ve noticed is the heals for the legends don’t heal for alot I was wondering if this could possibly be discussed about being raised.

Guys gamescom is weeks away I am guessing they will be doing something big this is Anet they like to go all out I for one am looking forward to what they reveal/do at the event.

I’m not Colin… but… there wont’ be expansion maps in this test, you will be able to venture out in the existing maps anywhere you can currently go with your characters. =)

Look its an insentive to get new players into the game can’t we just accept that games thrive on getting new players as well as keeping veterans its our current community that widely sways new payers opinions on whether to buy the game and the way this community is reacting I don’t blame new players from going “this is how they react to things I won’t join this community before hell freezes over” so stop complaining don’t pre order the game and get it without the base game but accept that Anet want new players and accept other people opinions because what was once nicest MMO communities has turned completely toxic and feel free to hate me for this but this is my opinion and to be honest I am happy to call myself a veteran, a lover of guild wars 1 and 2, I happy with the new player incentive but most of all I am embarassed to say I am a member of this community and I am disgusted with the way you all have acted so seeing as no one else is saying it I will because I mean it first to Colin Johanson brilliant interview on the stream and thank you for giving us the first announcement of the first expansion Pre Purchase and now to the QA team thank you for testing the patches for us if you weren’t here the game would have so many bugs and finally to the Developers and in general all members of the Guild wars 2 team at Arena Net I salute you for all of the hard work you do just to be attacked by ungrateful people and I just want to say keep up the good work and I will enjoy the next god knows how many years of playing this great and beautiful game.

Guild Halls and Colin Johanson great descriptions whats not to get excited about.

No mainly for the fact there is no NDA for this beta which means if we get the full revenant we con ruin it before the blog comes out and that doesn’t seem fair.

For once I agree this isn’t really a big or special announcement interesting yes but nothing special.

They have yet to announce any Beta test related to it. Considering that there is no NDA, I’m sure that you would hear immediately via these forums about it on either here or Reddit.

Although the way they were talking at the end of yesterday’s LiveStream, I have a feeling that there will be some sort of Beta Test next week. They said something special is happening next week that gives reason why they’re skipping a Specialization release.

You are misunderstanding the stress test was non NDA we dont know if this beta will have an NDA or not connected to it.

Ranger, Elementalist, Revenant and Necromancer will be the last one as we know something about them already and we haven’t heard all about the Revenant.

We have spend more than 2 years playing a tanky/supportive role, we have an opportunity to play our favorite class in a offensive role but we won’t because the name is stupid.

I’ll be a “draconhunter” even if I hate that name because I need fresh air on my guardian.

“Dragonhunter” name sucks, Dragonhunter’s mecanics seems great, I’m happy @50% of this spec, change the name for something more generic (in a RP point of view) and I’ll be happy @100%.

I don’t want to deal with it and if there is any chance that dev consider our feedback, I have to argue for a name change.

And where is the evidence from the developers that says we are getting one every 2 years as I remember correctly from the pax announcement Colin said that these can be rolled out through live updates just like the masteries.

I would say with the things they still need to reveal late august around the 3rd anniversary early september but but but it could be sooner.

It should be best send a support ticket to Anet hopefully they can give you the answer you need dude.

No Anet wouldn’t this because of living story people will leave if they don’t get new story/ new content for a whole year releasing it in 2016 and not 2015 would be a big mistake for Anet and they will not risk it.

Can we stop with this learn English talk please no everyone wants to learn it they are happy speaking in their native language they have a right to complain that the language they speak is not translated and all this “Learn English or don’t play the game” talk is kind of offensive I may speak good English but that is because I was never allowed to learn my native language. Learning English was not my choice I would rather speak Gaelic but I can’t so I can see where this person and many other people are coming from when they are unhappy that they can’t play the game because their language is not supported so accept people don’t want to learn English and stop this you need to learn English talk.

Because the beta was done through the live game and not in a dev test server people were able to unlock armor and weapons in their wardrobe but to be fair its the same armors we have seen already.

Hello, i’m an old Guild Wars player,i’ve been one of those who bought the collector edition of the second title(i love the game), i even bought a second copy to avoid arguing with my brother since we used to share the same acconut , but as soon as i started playing i have been dealing with some problems.
Guild Wars 2 lacks of italian subtitles… How is it possible that a game based on such a good structured PvE could fail so badly in something as easy as a translation?
Now, I don’t have anything against your idea of global hate ,i even tried to wait a year hoping that things could change, they didn’t.
So ashamed of my ignorance about having not been able to understeand anything in the quests, neither in the story in general(i even read the two books in Italian), i found myself leaving guild and friends hoping that one day i would have been back playing Guild Wars 2 (a lot of people who hosted petitions to get italian subtitles got huge amounts of signatures ,yet they didn’t even get considered.).
I gladly noticed that a new expansion is about to come out( Guild Halls °ç° ) , and now i am here looking the Charr statue from the collector edition asking myself:
Italy hasn’t got any rights to play Guild Wars 2?
Why did Guild Wars 1 support italian language while Guild Wars 2 doesn’t?
What’s the meaning of creating new contents while the old ones aren’t accessible to everyone?
Why at this point should i buy Guild Wars 2: Heart of Thorns?
One last question: Why did you even block indipendent translations??
Maybe i should just sell the Charr Statue and pretend I never had something to do with Guild Wars 2.
Thank you for what you left me with Guild Wars 1 ,i enjoyed every single minute spent in that fantastic game.

Lots of languages have been left out Gaelic, Scottish Gaelic there are differences between these 2 as well as other small countries with forigen languages that are not German, Spanish and French. So please don’t think Italians are the only people who aren’t able to speak their own languages in a server/megaserver only full of other Scots, Italians,Irish and Welsh.

Chances are they may talk about Heart of Thorns stuff if they do a QandA session but thats the only thing we can hope for.

This a total long shot but I surgest that in the battle royal all classes are represented at least once and to make things more interesting they are all played in there New HoT specialisation.

As this will be the PvP map and its only for the PvP beta chances are they won’t show anything PvE focused or specialisations focused it will just be the new map and thats it. Just don’t get your hopes up we can’t even play as revenant in this beta so I doubt they will show us any of these.

Stop attacking Anet for this if you are going to attack the people ingame who make jokes about Ebola, having Ebola, kids dying in Africa amongst other things get off your high horse and attack people in game who make these jokes before attacking Anet who probably didn’t know this would happen.

SAB is not coming back at this time why can’t people understand those 5 simple words.

Really this is what you find insensitve when for months and months I have been seeing ebola jokes and nobody seems to care about those get off your high horses okay don’t attack Anet for this and not people who makes joke about deadly diseases.

Well all I can say is this answers my question about having a patch this week hopefully there is some new playable content to play on my birthday.

Well they aren’t going to be able to get into the new maps to get to their guild halls and by the sound of it the new WvW and PvP maps will be the only things available to people without the expansion well depending on how testing goes they may change that.

I’m sure they will let you join 5 guild halls if all 5 of the guilds you are in have a guild hall

Why would you think they were going to give us more content than there was at PAX and rezzed in the stress test they let you play all the content shown so far.

Now you see you say a typical expansion well GW2 isn’t a typical MMO and this expansion will innovate and change how MMO expansions work now that could mean there are dungeons like many other typical MMOs and this is most likely the case if so I’m sure Arena net will announce it with the challenging group content deep dive we need to be patient.

They can release this at anytime it doesn’t have to be April 1st mainly because April 1st is a Wednesday NOT a patch day

Would everyone who didn’t get an invite stop crying Anet stated that it would be a few players and if you play GW2 you are considered a loyal customer it doesn’t matter how many hours you have player or how long you have played Anet considers us all as loyal customers and we should respect their decisions.

You are judging that there is little content pay attention Anet are just revealing THE MAJOR FEATURES for HOT there are things that are tied in with features we had in the orgional that are being done so don’t go crying saying there’s not going to be enough content when we havent had all the features revealed give them time and don’t jump to conclusions

Actually when more specializations are unlocked you can swap between every single one of them you don’t need to choose a specific one.

Ok first of all I believe as soon as you hit level 80 you get that specialization but anet haven’t told us anything about them we don’t know now as for new specializations we don’t have to wait for expansions as I believe I read an interview that said these are things the devs can push out with live updates and feature packs but again don’t take this as gospel.
