Because they banned a big wave in November does not mean they have done ANYTHING to ease the Bot population. Bots are in every game, yes. However, they haven’t done nearly enough in this game. They don’t even know HOW to catch the under the world teleporters based on a comment I read in some other thread.

It’s quite easy to deal with botters if you have the desire to do so. They don’t. They ban a big wave here and there which solves the issue for a week, maybe two to make it look like something was done. It takes a few hours to craft up a level 80 and they are right back at it.

I’d rather pay the higher prices to REAL players that wouldn’t have to suffer through farming with DR than to buy it cheaper from some scumbag bot. Money for me is no issue in this game. I’d be happy to pay the REAL players.

This post, though, needs to happen. I want an inspect feature. I’m sick of finding out after a run starts that some scrub in full MF is making my run take longer. Get a couple of the leeches together and you may as well just exit and start over.

This is the entire problem. It was asked, on their very own forums, multiple times. It was ignored. Now, much later, they decide to ban people who made these items. The communication from Anet is kitten poor. They have terrible QA for their patching and coding, and they still can’t fix game breaking items like culling.

Now they want to come out and ban a group of folks who never got an answer to the question that was asked on the forums. This is nothing more than just another money grab for them assuming these same people will just go buy another account.

The greed with their incredibly poor cash shop and terrible RNG with things like chests/keys will inevitably lead to the demise of this game. They have messed up every single event they have tried to add to the game, but hey, lets start banning now.

I wasn’t even around for the Karma fiasco that I keep reading about. However, if you didn’t ban people for buying Karma items in HUGE numbers to get precursors then it’s time to go back and remove those legendaries or ban them as well.

If this was ANY P2P game on the market that gets $15 a month, NOBODY would have been banned permanently for something so trivial that self corrected itself within days. Furthermore, a ban for using an in game recipe that required no manipulation whatsoever on the players part.

You need to stop with your nonsense posts. The welfare event already took place with the Ancient Karka. I’m guessing by all your hostility in every thread about the scavenger hunt that you received yours from the true welfare event and don’t want others to get them.

ArenaNet says that bots are nearly dead, so why do we need diminishing returns? Why should paying customers be denied rewards for any farming they decide to do? The have stated many times they don’t want to force us to farm, but all the nice looking stuff requires exactly that, and not just a little bit, a RIDICULOUS amount.

Why are sparks ONLY available after an event, which by the way is impossible for even two people to do? It seems to me this ONE crafting material is severely unbalanced and ArenaNet is completely ignoring that fact. Since they nerfed so many things in Orr it’s usually fairly empty because everyone is in fractals, the only thing they have not nerfed.

Are they nerfing to BALANCE the economy? It seems Charged Lodestones are unbalanced so how about addressing that???

First off, the bots are nowhere near dead. I’ve reported numerous bots for weeks on end with other friends of mine as well. They are still there, still farming, without a care in the world. Then you have the underground harvest bots that pop out for a split second, harvest, and disappear. I’ve seen hundreds of these in Orr farming sparks…which leads me to my second item.

Dwayna event is most certainly doable with 2 people. I’ve done it MULTIPLE times a day over the holiday break with 2 rangers. It’s, by far, the easiest temple event and really needs to be made harder.

Charged lodestone drop rate is fine – IF – they make the sparks uptime 100%, at least somewhere.

Having to deal with temples, downtime, and the lovely diminishing return garbage that flows in this game is NOT ok for the current drop rate.

All servers do this to some extent. In the last week alone on TC I have seen SoS, BG, and IoJ all throwing out recruitment messages in Lion’s Arch.

Easy fix. Don’t open the box. I’ve had no trouble on any character, maxed or not. If they are too hard for you, don’t open it. The dolls are easy if you even remotely pay attention.

You are actually quite late on this. They were at 1g 68 silver per 100 last night when I grabbed 1400 of them. Would have bought many more but I was hesitant because of how fast they dropped.

YES, MF helps you get better loot. It doesn’t work with chests but only with loot from mobs.
The difference in “kill speed” between a MF set and a dps set is very low, and you will likely never notice it.
You need more than 78%, btw.

That’s garbage and spoken like a true MF wearer defending his actions. MF is barely noticeable, if at all. I’ve run full MF sets and broke them down for ectos because of the little to no difference.

Also claiming you are just as effective is laughable. I can tell you right off the bat, my defense and offense were both hindered by wearing MF. Anyone that says otherwise obviously uses it and wants to justify it.

Tarnished Coast. Events always running to keep those open. Came here about 3 weeks ago and couldn’t have made a better choice. PvE has plenty of people out in the world and WvW has people that actually listen to what needs to happen.

The only thing crafting is good for in this game is leveling your alts. 10 levels per craft works out nicely.

I only use the food so i can’t comment. I find MF useless as a whole anyway.

I took this route the last couple of nights for an hour or two each night. I’ve walked away with tons and tons of blues and greens to vendor, about 6 lodestones, and plenty of yellows.

This is very dependent on the number of people around. Small number of folks can = large profit. Large number of folks and you would be better off elsewhere.

I’ve seen more pitiful commanders than good commanders. This goes for WvW as well as PvE. Give me the option to turn off an individual flag and I will gladly do it. I don;t send tells or act petty towards them, it just annoys me in WvW when I start moving towards a tag and realize it’s one of the morons. For PvE, they shouldn’t display at all.

I know exactly how MF works so take your smug comments and place them where ever you like. Read my post .. I get far more YELLOWS with no MF than I get with a full MF set. Of course it doesn’t add to your total drops, it adds to the rarity.

But hey, it’s nice to live in your world of assumption and ignorance.

I farm CS every single day on MULTIPLE characters. I also switch areas quite often. I can tell you for a fact from my experience, my green and yellow drops are far higher without any MF other than food than they are with a full 175%+ MF set. Oh, and all 4 of my exotics from CS came on my non MF set Guardian.

The stat does nothing.

I get more yellows on my Guardian with just MF food than I do on my Warrior who has a full MF set. I’ve said it before and I stick to it. MF is garbage and should just be removed from the game. Increase overall drop % and chance % by 2 or 3% and call it a day.

Yes, there was a post yesterday that said you can take it out of the mail with any character, put it in the bank, then log over and open it with the character you want.

I should have clarified. The people who didn’t get the chest or the mail, have a legitimate beef. My post was aimed at those complaining about the contents or the fact that they didn’t get their welfare precursor.

Who cares what others got? Who cares if they got a second or third or forth? Stop worrying about other people.

I received my chest in my mail. Opened it up and found exactly the two items I wanted from the start. The accessory and the bag. I could care less whatever else was in it. No precursor? No big deal… I got what I wanted all along. Anything else would have just been a bonus.

I do know that not everyone received a chest, however, because my wife never got one. She’s not terribly pissed like most people around here, just a little disappointed.

Be happy with what you received and stop caring what others get. Jealousy is a disgusting habit. Entitlement is even worse.

Pretty sure he is incorrect. What is happening is that people completed the event on one server then relogged to get in on an overflow, qualifying for the event reward more than once.

And they can know, not exactly who participated; but who was logged, where they were at, and whether or not they opened the chest.

It’s pretty obvious they CANNOT tell where people were. There are people posting that they received chests that never went to the event. No, I’m not talking about people saying they “heard” these are people admitting they didn’t go. Also, tons of posts about people getting another chest even though they got one.

Pretty sure unless every account gets a chest, it’s just going to start another kittentorm on the forums.

Reset time is fine. The dailies take 45 minutes TOPS. If you are playing after the reset, do your daily before you log. If they mean that much to you, I’m sure you can find the time to do them after the reset.

It was 350 mobs, actually, but I agree that it’s a rather small number to be 100% sure of anything. I would like to point out though that the mobs in Orr will quite possibly have a different drop rate than the mobs I farmed, and that you will tend to kill a lot of vets and champions there.

If I get time/willpower, I might repeat my test in Orr.

I really didn’t mean to be harsh and I hope more people do test MF. I guess I’m just sceptical of the entire premise of MF. I have an MF set which gets me close to 170ish MF and to be quite honest I never even put it on any more. I get much more loot without it and my kill speed is faster due to higher stats.

Again, personal observation. I would rather see them up the drop rates a few % and remove this entire MF nonsense.

200 mobs is not even in the realm of a test. The RNG can and will account for all of that.

I’ve gotten more than you list without MF farming Orr events.

Nothing will be done with this. You’ll get the same line next week that you got last week and this week.

Eventually it will be ignored completely since the Winter event will start shortly.

I made a Destroyer GS for my Guardian and I don’t regret it at all. Placed a buy order for the Lodestones and it was filled in about an hour. It looks awesome.

Decided to make one for my Warrior so placed another buy order. Completed the sword and decided to see if it sells. 15g profit.

Working towards Volcanus now.

Follow the guide above, and you’ll fly though cooking fast. Probably the easiest of all crafts.

Nothing will happen from this. They are just pushing it along in hopes of people ignoring it once their Holiday event comes out. it’s pretty obvious that they aren’t going to act upon this or it would have already been done.

For all other crafting guides. The cooking one is not that good and I believe it assumes a booster is used, but it has great guides for all the others. Should be able to get a good feel for prices just buy looking at the materials.

I went and killed some Karka for about 30 minutes. Well over 10 shells and a few T6 blood. Hardly “nothing”. My guess is most people freak out if they kill 2 mobs in a row without a drop so they come and scream on the forums.

Invest in better bags for your alts. It’s about the same price for more slots.

One bank slot is ~6g which can buy you >45 bagslots.

I play all my alts. None of them are bank characters and I can assure you they have quite large bags

Number 1 is the only real issue on your list.

DR needs to be completely removed from the outside areas. It’s absurd that they penalize the folks that want to grind. It’s the lazy man’s way to combat the gold farmers and botters while hurting the legitimate players. Oddly enough, it doesn’t bother botters at all since they aren’t even at the computer to worry about it so whatever they have when they return is a bonus.

Guardians have more than enough hp with their current skillset. Other classes need more due to the fact that they fall over when the wind blows.

Yes, it is possible. I believe I am close to 2400 at the moment.

Karma armor with Dolyak runes, knights jewelery, knights weapon. Not at home or I would gt you exact stats.

Dungeons/Groups/Farming/Etc.

However, I do agree that the spam guilds just seem to be more about having numbers than actually accomplishing anything.

There’s nothing hard at all about getting Master Crafter. Hell, that’s how I level alts.
