I never do any sort of pvp, ever.
I have a theory about that issue.
Are you tired of trying to explain to people that your depth perception makes it next to impossible to jump through the security grid in CoE? Are you fed up with having to tell people that your nervous disorder makes your hands twitch at odd times to where they yell how bad you are?
Then we may be the home for you. Right now they’re are just two of us. I myself am disabled, back injury has made a “null field” around my nerves at times, and my meds keep me pretty…out of it..as well as a recent heart attack. Anyone is welcome who wants to come in and just have fun without worrying that someone is going to rage on you , or call you any name in the book. We want to have fun in every level of this game.
We don’t require voip( i.e. Teamspeak, mumble, or any thing like that). We are located on Devonas Rest as well as Tarnished Coast. We would like to expand into every section of the game, numbers providing of course. Right now there’s just two of us though. If you’re disabled and tired of people talking down to you like your stupid when it’s just a limitation you have to overcome, give me a tell.
Non disabled people are welcome as well, as long as you want to have fun and are laid back. Our number one rule is..It’s a game, let’s have some fun. Send any questions you may have to Xana Oravia, Delona Oravia, or Evelyn Oravia (all my toons on Devonas Rest).
The thing that gets me the most are the repeated lines every few seconds. Everyone..Come, Death..Good, Return to Orr…If I try so much as to watch another zombie movie, those lines will be all I hear. Annoying as crap imo.
While helping your friend move her couch you yell “I AM MIGHTY”.
Come to Tarnished Coast. Since transfer I’ve yet to experience any of what you mentioned. (barring one minor incident, but jerks are like weeds. no way you can 100% get rid of em.) In any case, /report is good, also remember don’t insult them back, don’t use expletives or give them fodder to nail you. Anet has been pretty good about banning people for verbal abuse.
Oh yeah, I also seldom run dungeons. In any case the PuGs I’ve been with have been helpful and patient.
I just left Tarnished Coast because of the exact same reasons as the OP is describing. Ever since fractals opened, I was running into jerk central all the time (even outside fractals). Maybe I just got unlucky, I dunno.
I have a question, and please don’t take this as rude, I’m just curious. Why four people and not five?
I just don’t like playing a game where it reduces my wife to tears due to rude players.
^This. Since the new patch went live, this is all I have been seeing from a once fun community. Two months on (a particular server) where people were having fun, not being jerks, or at least they were somewhere else.
Once this patch hit, it seems they all came out of the woodwork. Because of this, If I can’t solo the content, I won’t go their. I’m sick of running into the…..rude…..players.
inb4:this is the internet, get thick skin.
When you log into your character type in /age in the chat box. It will show your time played. If I remember correctly that is.
Dunno, can’t get a group to do fractals, or really any dungeon anymore for that matter. Since last weekend I guess people realized i’m just not a good enough of a player to go with them..Oh well, gives me time to catch up on my reading anyway.
I might read the books that have been collecting dust on my table. Other than that, no clue really. Did they ever release Bio shock infinite?
@Noppy I run a laptop to play games, when was the last time you put some thermal paste on the cpu/gpu?
(edited by Xander.9024)
@akamon I’m in central time zone, how’d your meeting go? I’m pretty much always on so it won’t be a problem catching me..lol
@Kaii another one onTC
if you need anything send me a tell.
I run dungeons, about half gold per run unless i get something that sells really well. I don’t really do so well in the Orr zergs, my toon has a hard time “tagging in”.
You get a complete set of 6 armor pieces, you just apply it like any other transmute stone and they only work once. Say you bought the profane armor, you get all 6, once you apply, lets say, the leggings that stone goes away, and so on.
@ akamon The more the merrier. I’ve been trying to do the other paths but very few, if any, people want to do the others. If you’re up for it tomorrow(later today) send me a tell, I might not wake up till around 10am or later though and my meds are kicking my rear so I better get to bed now.
@RoflandRoll I’m on central time, only a couple hours difference. Most of the time I’ll be up ‘till 5 am or a bit earlier. I don’t mind having a thief in a dungeon, I have a theif actually. Anyway, Xana Oravia or Delona Oravia are my toon names, if you want to do a dungeon, I’m always game for that.
Currently working on explore of CoE, for some odd reason I kind of like it.
(edited by Xander.9024)
I’m not to sure about that, but I do know the end of every ones personal story is Arah. It’s kind of odd though that we get a “personal story” but then have to do a dungeon for the end of it.
So for this case yes, the cross server group will work since the end is a dungeon. Any other part of the personal story I’m not to sure.
(edited by Xander.9024)
No you’re right, for dungeons we can go cross server. I’m not fully awake yet. First cup of coffee
It is the Arah dungeon for the end of your personal story, it’s also connected to a chain of events to open the gates of Arah. Took me my first month to see the end of my story since Orr was heavily bugged at that time on my server. It wasn’t to bad though.
@nottsgman I’m game for any dungeon, I don’t mind jumping to your server to help out, as long as it’s NA(I get to much lag on EU servers)
I play a thief and a mesmer, both lvl 80 both can handle Orr. I tried to play a guardian, got it to lvl 68 then deleted it. I just found it so boring, compared to a thief or caster class that is. Also, I spend alot of time in dungeons, mainly helping people who need story, but most of the time the group is all pug and sometimes without a heavy armored character with us and it goes rather well actually. Same goes for explore modes as well, just depends on the people in the group.
Back to the point, I really don’t see an actual need for X class over any other in this game. I’ve seen thieves tank better than some guardians, I’ve seen mesmers tank better than some heavies. Just my thoughts, back to my coffee now..
@Natjur
Maybe it was bubbles?
I guess I need to check in here more often. If anyone is on Tarnished Coast that needs help please by all means feel free to contact me, the name displayed is Xander toon name will prolly be Delona Oravia (my mes, i love my mes). Normally i fly my own guilds flag so most of the time i’m not in guild chat for this one, but please feel free to send me whisper.
Also sometimes i do get backed up a bit so please bear with me..
“Guess they didn’t count on the community being lifeless knuckleheads unwilling to assist unless there is a clear objective stamped out on their map.”
Interesting outlook….moving on, you know since my map doesn’t have an objective for this
CoF corridor: Portal, blink, portal gg.
I really don’t like skipping mobs or bosses in dungeons. Every time I see someone post “Just skip it” i roll my eyes and sigh. Of course as soon as that gets posted you notice the rest of your team break off and run so if you don’t want to die you kind of have to.
Still hate it though.
First of all, I couldn’t complete the clocktower this go around, maybe next time who knows. I’m not at all mad about it, it beat me fair and square, and I smiled all the way into the green stuff. Don’t be sorry for this one, it was awesome.
I’ve ran it ten times, eight of those were solo, the other two was with a lvl 55. Each time it was exactly the same as the last, no increasing difficulty. Just my observations anyway.
I can’t help but laugh sometimes when someone post “learn what MMO means.” NONE of the letters mean MANDATORY. If you want to solo or go “ghost” (as i use to call it) it’s your choice.
Try Tarnished Coast.
34..Love most things..hate few things..
I zoned into Orr last night and killed 5 mobs, all of which dropped porous bones. Figured, well try some more in a different part of Orr. Same thing happened there too. Think I ended up with around 30 for those porous bones before I decided to try to look for a dungeon group. At least one that doesn’t ragequit in the middle..
As long as he’s not a Risen Nich sure..
I remember playing RIFT for a little while, it was my first taste of PVP. I rolled my toon on a PVP server just to see what it was like. In the lower zones it wasn’t to bad, as you got out to the higher level zones it became a gank fest. You would have one person, or more at some places, who would just camp a node or a world boss spawn point and wait for the opposing faction to come in and..well..let the beatings begin…neither side could finish any event since every time we tried to team up some people would get trigger happy and all you see is “stop hitting def’s, stop hitting guards.” Then it was chaos. Also, with all the aoe friendly fire, as one poster pointed out, no one really knew if the opposing faction meant to hit us or not, so again, people went for the players instead of finishing the event. Now I did find one or two people from the opposing faction that was cool to travel with, but not many.
I tried this path last night twice with pug groups, we got up to the cannons but instead of the little movie that’s suppose to pop up Detha just sits there. We tried zoning in and out a few times, we tried having people talk to her and bring her to the exact location on the mini map, but the event would just not trigger. Just though I’d share my woes on this.
Hmmm..The armor seems a bit heavy to be able to walk on walls and such..lol
I’d actually like a better breakdown of which member did what events for X influence.
If any member is not representing, since we can be in four guilds at once it would be nice to know.
Your number two point.
I feel like the sandwichmancer class remains horribly unbalanced, NERF IT ANET!
They are just to good at macking sandwiches you can’t let that go by unchange.
But I have to blow all my cd’s just to get the lettuce where I need it to be, do you have any idea how much prep-work I have to do to perform that combo?
Hmm…I’m going to fire off some questions just to get some info from you on your play style. What do you spend your in game time doing mainly?
What server do you play on at the moment? My Mesmer is my dungeon runner, love them.
Hi everyone
Current Server: Devona’s Rest (i tend to stick with med to low pop servers)
What I do depends on my mood really, My mes is the dungeon runner, my thief is the explorer, and my guardian is only in lvl 43, but I’m pretty much open for anything. Except pvp…I hate pvp…
Unless I have a doctors appointment or another matter I need to attend to I’m pretty much always on…unless I’m asleep..
Main character:Xana Oravia (sylvari theif) I say this the main since it’s the first one i rolled but I end up playing my mesmer more.
More than likely, I might get overheated for a few minutes. After that I’m usually just meh whatever and try another approach.
