Can you prov it’s a vocal minority?
The way i see it it’s a vocal minority elitist trying to make the game cater for them.
if you want a pure hardcore game then this game is not for you.
[edit] or go play Fractals if you want a challenge.
I would not mind if unlocking the elite on one char unlocks all for alts.
I would be ok with that.
But having to unlock elites on 8 alts is going to sux my life away.
Yes i like playing a different chars now and then in wvw/pvp hence why i have all the classes.
Once the keep is upgraded to say stone.
Some parts flicker the wood through the stone.
it’s not just the keep,its the garrisons as well.
This is happing in deso server,not sure if the same prob happing with other servers.
Only started happing since new dlc patch.
Well, there was not enough new content to justify the price tag, so they had to find a way to stretch it. It’s basically LS3 with a couple add-ons, and you paid the price of a full game for it xD I do feel bad for you people.
I would love hero’s for the dungeons and fractals.
As i hate it getting a pug together only to lose some within 5 mins as they have to have there tea or do something else instead.
At least with hero’s i can do it at my own pace.
For the price there charging,it better have a ton of maps and content.

Well tbh when they announced an expansion,i was expecting one like we got with gw.
Two classes and a whole new continent(massive map) and new story also unlockable skills and capture elite skills.
This seems not the case with gw 2 so they better have a load of map areas and content for the price we paid then.
(of course things like capping skills cannot be added like in gw)
So we buy Pre Purchase Edition for beta access,but anet is just putting up stress tests instead.
Another stress test on the 9th wvw.

Race change could be done and there have been a million suggestions on how it could be implemented.
I don’t remember even one suggestion that offered a sensible mechanical solution. In fact, most “solutions” concentrated only on how it were to look from the player side.
This.
No player could have offered a mechanical/programming solution because no player knows the inner working of the programming.
Let’s elaborate a bit on that by looking at what is probably the most common player solution, ie. reset personal story on race change. Firstly, this kind of solution faces the same problems as allowing players to replay personal story (because that is what this solution entails) and secondly, there are bunch of minor things the choices in personal story affects, including the state of your home instance (yes that thing you only visit to mine some daily nodes, if even that) as well as numerous open world interactions related to the choice of order to join in particular.
These things seems so minor that they are easy to gloss over from players point of view because they are barely seen by most players. The problem with all of this boils down to the fact that they would have to reset your character state, but also hold partial records of every one of the previous states to an extent (ie. avoid re-earning rewards for example).
One thing to consider, when the story journal was introduced, they wouldn’t or couldn’t (because of it being either technically impossible, or cost prohibitive) allow parts of personal story to be replayed, if they couldn’t do it for the story journal all the same reasons would apply to race change.
Profession changes on the other hand, while probably easier would have a set of their own problems (namely to do with gear, and that one ultimately insignificant choice in character creation).
This doesn’t even touch on any potential design reasons against them, see Jon Peters post about why Hero Points can not be reset on demmand… of the top of my head I can’t come up with parallel for race change but that is because I too do not know how the inner systems interact with each other or have enough information on the desing behind personal story now and at launch as well as how the system accommodates for that design.
Reset personal story to zero when race is changed.
So they can get the rewards again? No thank you.

Also if they paid for a race change then they paid for the crappy rewards all over again.
As for the bl keys ppl can still farm them with a spare char slot anyway.

The first option is for gem codes, that’s why you have to push the ‘redeem item code’ button first. I’m not completely sure it works for HoT (I bought it in-game so I didn’t get a code) but it’s how you redeem codes for things like the mini llama and Mr Sparkles.
I’ll check it and post back as my code will come from amazon Wednesday hopefully.

It has become an “organized only, pugs need not apply” kind of event. Just as it was shortly after the Teq Rising change – and those weren’t good times at all.

Also with the good guilds they can join there guilds ect on the same map.
Hence why they keep saying its easy.
Try doing with just pugs or new players only on the map,they will soon sing a different tune.
the key you get from amazon will be applicable to any account, but purchasing the expansion when in game will only apply to the account you are logged in to.
That’s ok as i only have one account anyway.

I wish anet said this from the start tbh,instead of us jumping through hoops to find out what’s what.
ANet said it is only available through themselves, so unless the seller is NC Soft, or at the very least the transaction is “fulfilled” by Amazon, I would not buy it from there.
Edit for clarity, I mean to include “pre-ordering.” If there are frauds about trying to sell it, I would still avoid it for now. No harm can come from waiting as it is not likely to be released for some time. There is still a lot of content to be announced, as well as the remaining elite specializations.

Funny thing is it only started happing when playing wvw i can play pve allday and it does not happen,but soon as i hit wvw for 10 mins then quit game i get it.
