I upgraded my lads account from trial to full.
now the prob is that his end number has jumped up one,so instead of for example 0049 its now 0050.
so in game when i add him as a friend or guild it still says 0049,so i cannot sent him any items ect ect unless i changed the 0049 to 0050 in his mail.
I have del him and re-added him but the orig number stays and wont change..

Will this get fixed as i’m assuming it will prob happen to everyone whos upgraded from a trial account.

i’ll prob skip this week tbh,as i know what the outcome is going to be anyway.
i’ll wait till des drops down a tier or two,as atm its no fun at all.

tbh that is a very crude word,and the type of word i would not want my son to see or read.
I think the name changing was justified.

If you was allowed to get away with that word,how many more ppl would try to use swear words.

My lads playing on a trial account.
if i go here https://register.guildwars2.com and re add his retail cd-key will that work with the trial account he is using.

I’v asked three times about adding a retail cd-key in this part of the forum and still getting ignored.

I have to agree i think the mess has took a heavy nerf.
i only just lvled mine to 80,and now i’m having to shelve it,because it’s useless in wvw now.

How do i add a retail cd-key to a trial account?

In game it asks for cc or paypal,but i already bought my lad the game.
So how do i add the retail cd-key to his trial account?

I thought Herons/cranes are normally grey with a hint of black.
I’v never seen a pure white one like that tbh,they might exist but i’v never seen one.

no not even opened the game up yet its wrapped for xmas.
also he has never had a gw account anyway only just got his computer.

that’s sorted now just had to make him a new e-mail address.
now the question is how do i add his retail cd-key once the trial is over.
no option in his account atm,you don’t even get access to the forum as it says you don’t own gw 2.
He has to go through his e-mail link to get to his gw 2 account.

I hope there will be a way to add the retail key,as that will be disheartening to help him lvl up only to be forced to make a new e-mail and account for his retail game.

ok i made him a new e-mail and it worked fine.
now i notice in the trial version read me it says they have an option to upgrade in game.

But i already got the full game for him for xmas.
so can i add the cd-key in game later,or can i add the cd-key through his account.

Dont tell me i went through all this trouble only to hit a brick wall when it comes to reg his orig cd-key.

I got the three keys for free trial.
but when i try to reg one of the keys for my son it says he already got an account.

But he has not it says that with all three keys.
now he has an e-mail account the same as mine but with a different number in it,could it be thats the prob? or same ip?

I was going to let him play the free trial then add the game cd later,but at the mo i’m having a hard time trying to make an account for him because it keeps saying he has an account when he don’t i have a gw account not him.
even though i say no he does not have an account or gw account i keep getting the same error.

And this is why anet needs to start charging for Transfers.
des has lost a lot of players because of ruin.

I’m not talking about ruin guild,i’m talking about them stealing what players we had before they trashed talked our server give us bad rep,and now left.

The only reason there not all on bt atm is because there finding hard to Transfer when that server is full.

Arh well good riddance we will come back stronger than ever.
also the ones that jumped ship as well,plz do not come back when we start to get back on our feet.

As far as i can tell what they do is click on the player and report.
then they get the name they can type in and whisper.

Tbh anet should put a block on this imo.

yeah i killed a few ruin last night with the bt tag.so i cannot say for sure if the leaders have jumped ship as well,but there was a lot of ruin on bt last night.

We will build our server back up and it will take time,i just hope the ppl on des never trust outside help again.

Am i seeing things or many ruin have jump ship to bt.
lol i knew that would happen anyway,so no surprise there tbh.

if anet did make a new class i would like to see the rit or dev make a come back tbh.

would be interesting to know how many of those hours of yours are spent doing the mundane jobs that individuals in guilds like iron do i.e sitting in a tower reporting on movement running endless supplies back and forth etc .Things that don`t earn you any badges or karma .

I tell say ruin 30+ incoming to xx.
or i defend the supplys if i can,or do the supply runs.
If i want karma i’ll do the pve chain quest runs like phlinx.
I do a lot on my own,as many are mostly following the commanders for the easy caps.
but there is only so much i can do tbh.

but it’s not about me,what i’m saying is there are still ppl that are not in ruin guild ect ect that do a lot,but yet always gets belittle and made out we do nothing.

I just want to point out that you’re right. IRON don’t go in EB, from what I can tell it was sorted very early that IRON will take the BL and RUIN EB.

IRON put in a kitten hard shift every night to try and keep some semblance of dignity for our server.

They can always be found with at least one commander on, trying to rally the PUGs.

The unfortunate thing, and the thing that differentiates us from the other servers is our PUGs are horribly disorganised while both the other two servers have PUGs that listen and help out.

Ours just sort of do their own thing.

It’s not the pugs,it’s the commanders.
if they don’t do there job right and just run back and forth capping stuff,then the pugs will follow there ways.

Also i would like to say sorry to vs for not putting there name in this part of the msg i put.

even vs tried to defended the stuff they just capped.

It’s just annoys me how ruin gets all the lime light and makes out they carried us,when there was more pugs and small guilds in eb than them.

It’s about team play and that seems lacking in the bigger guilds eyes.

its like it’s all about them and pugs means nothing even thought we have put in the hard work as well.

I don’t know about RUIN, I’ve never entered their TS or been in EB beyond getting the map completion.

But I can tell you the IRON commanders do a kitten hard job in trying to defend points and communicating. They leave scouts at every fortification we hold and often at strategic points along the routes as well.

The thing is, they do most of this over TS (details for which they hand out regularly in map chat). The best way for us to be organised is to make use of TS, and there are a number of guilds that help out in the borderlands.

We’re not the unorganised mess people assume. We’ve got a highly dedicated and very organised core. We just can’t get the pug’s to help out.

The point i was making was not against iron as iron don’t do eb remember.

Just few posts back you were whining how iron doesnt do eb. Its obvious you are one of those fairweather pvpers else you would know we never do bl. Iron covers ONE bl and thats it. And due to recent internal events we took a hit in performance which we are repairing as we speak.
Ruin did carry deso to t1. Along with several other guilds that were pulling allnighters. Even with ruin we were often outmanned at night while you and rest of fairweather players were sleeping just to wake up and flame ruin for hard work of getting your lazy kitten to t1. Without ruin deso would NEVER reach t1 with player base it has atm.
Due to ungratefull kittens like you i asked for iron to switch servers but was denied unfortunatly. Instead of beeing a parasitic entity how bout you log in and go upgrade a keep along with all siege? And while you are at it do a nightshift. We seriously lack night/morning presence.

You don’t even know how much i play wvw,and as for pve yes i play both but mostly wvw.from 12pm to 3-4am i play wvw MOST of the time so plz don’t insult me saying i’m lazy when i put in more hours and money than the adv pug person.

I see what’s going on in the day and night on eb,and tbh i would rather be in t3 than t1 known we worked hard to stay there rather than relie on the insults from some ruin players when there zerg goes bad.
as for iron yeah you don’t do eb so plz if you don’t do it you don’t see what’s going on.
like i don’t do the other bg so i don’t see whats going on there.

As for jumping ship even if you did it would not bother me i would still play wvw win or lose.
Also i was not insulting your guild just stating there not in eb so i’v never had the fortune to play with them.

Most of them hours have been wvw.
I have a pve char and a wvw one both lvl 80 both very good geared.

I’v been on des server since the three day head start.

Now i’m only a one man band,but i play many hours during the day and night in wvw.
This is just my opinion but i’m close to the truth.

I’m sick and tyred of ruin and iron trying to get all the glory,in eb i did not see one iron guild in eb anyway,maybe they don’t do eb,i and many other smaller guilds have put sweat and blood in playing eb.

Yes i do agree ruin had it easy,but also lacked a lot of stuff as well,to me they seems like they was farming rather than tactics most of the time.
(example what happened in sm,hanging at the top let vs take it and charge down to take it back,rinse and repeat.)
No one on our server had any food buffs at all or defend the garrisons.
That alone shows we are not rdy for t1.
Just look at bt they all had food buffs.Also they held a few back to defend.
This is what we are lacking.

We take a garrison then run off to another or a supply area,then come back to take it back again.
this seemed to happen a lot,not once did anyone stay behind to defend it.
Now i know it’s not all down to ruin to do that,but if they was leading the groups.it is down to there commander to sort it.there was no defence in most of there tactics tbh.
I’m not trying to bring them down far from it,all i’m saying it there a lot of stuff lacking.
it got that boring on the night.even i use an alt and got it lvled quite far.

Now they got some competition,it seems like the excuses are coming out.

Hopefully we do go back down in ranks,because maybe the big mouths that have brought our server down and gave us bad rep.will move to other servers so they put up with them and get to know what it feels like.
not all des players are like them.
We was a good server,but now we have so much bad rep and hate because of this.

Just watch out bt,i hope you don’t get these type of ppl when you hit the n1 spot.
It’s going to take a long time to fix the dmg this server has got because of them.

Funny thing is not many iron on today infact only saw one.
They try and take the glory but once the going gets tough there nowhere to be seen in eb.

Ruin well after last night commit i expect them to jump ship tbh.
Shame i don’t care if des is n1 or n6 i play for fun and have good fights,it’s not always about being on top.

Also i noticed today no que for wvw,i guess many ppl have jumped ship to bt already then.
Good riddance to them,and the next big server to hit n1 spot,they will jump ship to that as well.

Disappointed to hear ruin wanted to jump ship to bt,but i guess i knew when the going got tough they would jump ship sooner or later anyway.

Some ppl like say t3 armour,so they can transmute it with different stats.
When it comes to armour,it’s always about the looks,stats can be changed anyway.
Some faction armour looks better than the others but we never get to see them until it’s to late,because we picked the wrong faction.

There is a couple of commander on the server i’m on that i will follow and obey.
They seems to know what to do and when to do it.

Yet there is a lot of other commanders that don’t have a clue,now i’m not going to say there names,but i avoid them as i know we will wipe more than we can gain.
they are the commanders that should not have the tag imo.

They don’t have a clue and what’s involved,only zerging and causing wipes.
They are the type of commanders that cost me more money in repairs than anything else.

tbh i’m getting sick of noob commanders that puts a good group at risk because they don’t have a clue on what to do besides zerg keeps that 99% always fail.

A good commander must always know what to do when to do it ect ect.

Rendering fix <———- this for def.

Nothing worst then seeing an enemy,jump in only to find he’s not on his own.
theres a massive mob that has not rendered.
Also big fights mainly in sm,you cannot see any enemy at all until it’s too late.

oh yes i would love to re-pick my faction on my ranger,why would i want healing armour. as we cannot see the armour before hand,it’s kinda hard to pick the right faction when your a new player at the time.

you can only do it after completing the game.
They all give off a small chain quest to change.
That would be great imo.

The best way around it i guess is to do it so you are not able to gank in there,
that way ppl will just get in there get there stuff and out again,as there’s no point hanging around in there,

Well anet done it so if you talk to the small mk in la he will give you a hat anyway.
So all good for the ppl who missed out.

I beat zhaitan and thought i would look at the story mode by pressing H.
But soon as i get to estate of decay everything else goes blank.

What i was trying to find out what order my char joined.
so i cannot read the rest of the story as it goes blank past estate of decay.

tbh you play what you like best.

I like the ranger for wvw,but since the nerf he’s not so good in pve imo.
I like my guardian for farming mats.

Also i’v just started a mes,and tbh i hated the mes in gw,but in gw 2 i’m finding her real fun.
you have to think fast on ya toes with a mes.
but tbh it all boils down to what class you fancy playing,everyone will have there own opinion.

I hope they do implant it.
I would not mind changing one or two of my char names,even if i have to buy gems to do it.

I did enjoy it.
My only grip was the loot drops.
Not once did i see any mk loot besides the tower jp soul bound boots.

I would really love the spider bow,as i know my luck stinks so i bought the scroll and craft it later.
But kitten why cost so much in mats to make it.
anet plz reduce the mats seems silly to cost over 200+ gold for a bow.

The game has always been fun for me from the pre 3 days head start.
tbh if you did not have fun back then,then you prob wont have fun now.

Also once you get past lvl 20 it gets a lot better,as you have unlocked most skills besides the elite ones.

Seems like only the lab gives you the armour that’s not soul bound.

Tbh i did not mind ruin on our servers.
but now it’s not fun anymore.
by the time 11pm hits wvw is empty as they capped everything.

So the fun is going fast as i kinda like to play at night where the action is in small numbers.
but now there is no action just running around doing nothing or the jp.

also des used to be a nice server everyone was more or less helpful in pve,but now bah.
you cannot even ask for help without a handfull trying to troll.
Also over 3 hours waiting to enter wvw.
This is not ruins fault,just many ppl jumping ship to this server because we could hit the n1 spot.

Tbh i would rather have it back as it was before,don’t really care for being at the top tbh.
I just want to have fun,thats inc playing on the night time as well.

I like the charr area,but to be truthful its not very good on my fps.
any other area i hit 50-60 fps without a prob.
but soon as i quest in the charr lands,i hit 20-30 fps.

So that alone puts me off going there.
i don;t think that area is optimised very well tbh.

Also after being in eb for say ten mins holding off bases ect ect.
Then goto the jp for the badges and stuff,i get stuck on the loading screen.

yet if i enter eb and goto the jp straight away its ok.
plz fix this.

its no fun waiting for hours to get in eb,then get stuck on jp loading screen.

noo i hated the point click.
I hope anet don’t bring that back tbh.

Oh yes.
put many many hours in and will put many many more.
it will also be a lot better when anet irons out the event bugs tbh.

Can you plz fix it so they don’t run 10 yards in front of us,and stay next to us instead.
I kinda hate the fact i stop and the pet carrys on until it aggros half the mobs in front of me.

After so long getting used to it,they change it.
Now i’m jumping away from the mob or getting me killed because i’m thinking i’m pressing symbo of wrath.

Leap of faith should be in slot number 5 everyone hardly uses it unless there trying to close a gap in wvw.
But i do agree i want to be able to move the skills in the slots i please.

Happened to me on other games.
Turns out it was the graphics drivers.

I just un-installed them did a clean sweep and reinstalled the drivers.
never happened since.
