well in that case, make it a mega battle where all the EU servers are condensed into 1 server to fight all the NA server for the last week of the month as a special.

of course to deal with the exceeding numbers, you can have overflow servers lol

Dear Anet, as so many people have stated,

-every week, winner of each group randomize within themselves and fight.
-2nd place randomize within themselves , 3rd place same.

also, in the last week of the month, the corresponding ranking servers from NA and EU could duke it out.

this method will breathe much needed fresh air into an otherwise stagnant and bad wvw ranking.

i used to run boon durations too, until i met a necro that strip/corrupt/kicked my candy kitten so bad that i threw away all those boonrunes.

my guess as to this differing stat:Crit% dmg is that it is to offset the divinity/celestial superior total stats.

absolute resolution is crap in big frontline fights.

i would take a 0/0/30/30/10

or a 0/0/30/25/15 for retaliation spam

option 1: grab a drink , wp.

option 2: all out pressure and nuke them down, hopefully you have dmg. but you must know their abilities well.

option 3: role a healbot and know how to evade burst and outheal their dmg.

i normally choose option 1 lol.

don’t take zerker weapon, you lose more stats there. take zerker on your rings/accessories.

also, your builds performance will be something like mine, you can see my lol videos to get an idea.

i would say get your hp to around 15k-16k.

Bash, I’m a WvW noob but will likely play a fair amount; I won’t play any material amount of highly competitive pvp. I’d like to make something viable out of this setup for WvW, but I don’t know if its possible. My experience with WvW to date is standing in a zerg dropping AoE bombs for a couple of hours with a Necro.

Zackie, the synergy between RHS, fast hitting weapons and Empowering Might (and Vigorous Precision but that’s only 5) jumped out at me when considering builds. Where do people usually go for RHS builds?

the problem is there’s a ~1sec cooldown on empowering might procs.

so it wouldn’t make much of a difference if you hit that much faster.

honor line is usually for healbots

RHS builds are usually for making other people the healbots, by kicking their kittens.

in my opinion, honor line is for 2h/group play.

RHS is for 1h weapons which is for solo fights.

so it would be weird to take so much radiance and honor together

I use Superior Runes of the Pack on my Mesmer and confirm that the boons are granted to me as well as my allies.

I’d prefer if wings weren’t a back-piece but rather a player effect when Eternity is wielded that change between angel-sunrise wings and demonic-twilight wings instead of the sword. Players who own Eternity would be seen to be duel wielding Twilight and Sunrise and have unique attack and movement animations. But that’s going off topic.

If they introduced wings as a back-piece they would have to be hard to get (and not temporary) or everyone would wear them! Like people have been saying; they would fit Human cultural gear so maybe we could have cultural back-pieces for all races? Wings for humans, back-mounted dual-mortars (which would fire as part of the Artillery Barrage Elite skill) and jetpack for Charr, etc.

reminds me of why rangers get wings on their gs leap while guardians ( the holy dudes) get nothing.

Anyway fun to watch. One thing that keeps me coming back to the guardian is the “at all cost” aspect of play. Sometimes a single guardian can turn the tide of a fight. One minute it is lost yet the next second a simple charge clears the way for the rest to follow.

indeed, but can be anyone though, just needs the courage or madness to charge.

or if your server knows how to do coordinated charge with combo fields etc , then it would be a piece of cake

sorrow furnace and arah dungeons got knights too

amazing, i thought server transfers were only within US or EU

i did some testing in the mist and it seems like radiant power + burning is about the same as if you use a zerk pvp trinket.

so unless you go full dmg, either one will make you hit about the same.

which means in a balance build, the special traits like aegis at 50% health, blind on VoJ etc are the ones that will make the difference, not so much on the stats.

It’s not that toughness sucks, it’s that crit damage (and power) is really good. It’s still important to have some kind of passive damage reduction, but crit damage is really darn good.

oddly, i am starting to realise crit dmg is not that good…

have about 80% now, and i am lowering them

i think like 50% is enough.

i realise you need all 3 stats, power + crit chance + crit dmg to be optimal to hit the best.

going off tangent in either one will not result in high dps.

i am still trying to find the balance

skill lag doesn’t drive me crazy, it drives me to the respawn point

if you go healing power , you go selfless daring

if you like playing support, then you should go something like 0/0/x/15+x/10+x, taking utilities like wall of reflect, sanc, and stand your ground etc.

if you like tanking the frontlines in mass fights then AH is good with shouts.

if you like soloing then meditations is better.

also, i think the staff is the best weapon in wvw based on its overall usefulness. it doesn’t need AH to be good. although it heals like a truck with AH and people around you.

but in solo fights, rooting yourself with staff#4 is not ideal unless you can get a breather like line of warding the enemy and then you use staff#4.

but if you really are going solo, i would suggest 1h weapons on a guardian.

1h is more for single target while 2h is more for aoes.

i think knights is a good start. consumables well, i don’t have money.
