At this point in the game, riding the champ train is the way to go if you want to make some money.
Not really. I wasted a good 1/2 hour on the farm train in FS this evening and got two boxes of loot- too many people, not enough hits on the champ to get credit.
I did wonder, though, why people weren’t champ farming the cave in Mount Maelstrom.
i used to wonder that too, then i realise they are invulnerable
years later, gw2 will be remembered as champ train simulator 2013
i guess the new title for precursor building will be called
“i went through hell to build this”
yea, they should give us all a precursor of choice for the 1 year birthday present instead of some mini jennah that is not even user friendly…
man, 3 stuns on warrior hammer
none on the guard. they should consider giving us a stun on our hammer.
hammer 4 should have been aoe banish.
great idea!
15000 characters
i am imagining my guardian as a moving wall of reflect now, would be so cool and funny
rolling a warrior now…
lol jk, if i ever play something else , i would try a gunslinger thief.
But i do agree that in big fights, warriors are offensive juggernauts. guardians are more like punching bags
i have used AH from day 1 to now. still working well.
AHEM for PvE
AH2H for PvP
1800! how many animals have you harmed?
yea i agree. i ain’t waiting 1h in that zone for a 10mins fight
i agree. content should be permanent except time related content like halloween xmas etc.
i will play russian roulette with it.
Because RNG.
i like the ending song
DOWN WITH RNG!
suggest ANET staff’s paycheck be RNG as well
zerg meets zerg
winning zerg levels the terrain, gets all the loot
losing zerg gets nothing
winning zerg gets more and more people because they keep winning/farming
losing zerg lose more and more people as they become walking loot bags.
becomes 1 sided affair when the numbers are too skewed.
perhaps something can be done to encourage participation for the losing side?
maybe a badge of honor for each death? i mean, they did die honorably right?
anet has forgotten to encourage people to play together.
instead, now we have player scaling + timer countdown to discourage people from playing together.
we get punished for more people joining who don’t know the “right way” of winning.
which also begs another question, why the timer countdown?
it’s basically do the “right way” or fail. That will become a grind because there is only 1 way of winning.
Always Watch the Backdoor!!!
CD Cliffside and hour or so ago… IOJ and CD had been going at it in the lords room and we thought we would say hello.
for the trolls: this video isn’t about Xv40 it is about Timing…
edit asked a question… yeah I was using stacking weapons so that is why my DOTS are so low
I SAW MYSELF IN THERE YAY!
it’s not even player friendly in my opinion
MIGHT makes me RIGHT!
He will be surrounded by millions of rare swords.
hahahah so true
they could make centaur the new race,
then we can really see if
“I CAN RUN FASTER THAN A CENTAR”
wow… so deep… the intricacies…
i think that in addition to the “players helping players” sub-forum, you should also create a new sub-forum called " Players duking it out" so that all the forum warriors who feel the need to fight among themselves have a forum pvp ground to do so.
The real world is governed by chaos.
Order is humanity’s attempt to rationalize it.
Randomizing the world of GW2 would be a significant step towards a truly living world in my opinion.
Imagine this:
You are out in Mount Maelstrom, running about gather mats. Suddenly, Logan appears and ask you to help him as he ran into some trouble. He brings you to Bard’s Valley and you get ambushed by the 50 champion mobs in there. You promptly got downed and Logan casts Retreat! and runs away.
What just transpired was a simple random event that occurred out of the blue. Such random events are the trademarks of games like Skyrim and GTA where immersion is very well implemented in them. On a side note, immersion is also very well done in the horror genre where the element of surprise is key.
We could also take it further by making Logan not always perform the same task. He could just appear and give you an unidentified dye for absolutely no reason but you get the point.
So, in addition to the current Living Story updates that are targeted at the larger world as a whole, i think it would be great to also add in these small touches to spice up the experience. Most importantly, they are permanent in the persistent world of GW2.
This idea could also perpetuate to other areas like world bosses. Currently, world bosses are like a grind precisely because they spawn and die like clockwork. The new Tequatl experience is exciting and challenging but once the novelty wears off, it is actually coordination for a specific method to kill him. This is exacerbated by the fact that there is a countdown timer to kill, if not he escapes. This is not good because it not only pigeonholes people into using the fastest and probably the only viable method to kill him, it also leaves a bad taste in the mouth of players should they fail and discourages anyone to take part in the event again.
So why not randomize it? I was in Lion’s Arch and Tequalt looms above head and drops risen spawns everywhere. He doesn’t have to land and fight us, but it suddenly becomes an event and upon killing the risen, we get the world boss chest. Alternatively, Tequalt roams the watery plains and perhaps lands in bloodtide coast. Players rally others to the spot and a fight ensues. Thus, in my opinion, we should get rid of the spawn timing of bosses and kill countdown timings because they are actually detrimental in the long run.
Of course i do understand that from a programming standpoint, it might be hard to make tequaltl AI roam the lands etc but hopefully these ideas can serve as a stepping stone to other greater ideas.
This would be mine
wow amazing
Only new animation is the throw and you really dont have to worry about it since it does no damage and its single target and even that is stolen from the risen gorillas.
I’m pretty sure the throw does damage, as people often end up downed after it, but additionally Clockheard likes to throw people at the central electified platform or into generators, and often follows that with immediate spinning gear lob.
yea, also clockheart’s throws are always to the back of itself.
thats why it’s good to kite clockheart to the wall and the person who has aggro to face the outer wall.
so that you are always thrown to the outerwall, not into the pool, and clockheart won’t shoot the gears.
alternatively, if you have enough stabilities, you can just stability it.
Ultimate masochist mode
make it fractal dark.
make the platforms invisible.
make random CC
make lots of people running together viable
make RNG timing
balance is king.
i want a troll + kholer mini so that i can summon them in LA and watch them slug it out
the outcome will be random hopefully, then i can start accepting bets.
maybe then i will become a better businessman than zommoros.
2013 gaming, serious business.
59/60 refers to areas in orr not poi/vistas/skillpoints/etc.
you probably are still missing the source of orr
i agree with the op.
i would like to see my information as per others.
zerglings vs non-zerglings in this thread
nice idea.
i would like logan to lead my server.
his trademark would fit my server real nice.
RETREAT!
“All oakheart mobs have the same animation, if you were anywhere near the MJ (so asura or sylvari), you should have known them for at least 78 levels. If you didnt go there why the bloody hell are you in the dungeon? Go finish the kittening map to 100%”
This tree has plenty of attacks that are certainly not on the other oakhearts.
Smash that shoots the wave = Oakheart knockback animation
AOE immob on pulse/modified speed hit attacks = aoe root summon attack
Only new animation is the throw and you really dont have to worry about it since it does no damage and its single target and even that is stolen from the risen gorillas.
So while the actual attacks might not be identical, the animations sure as hell are.
the throw does no damage?
must have been a new patch then.
Just another day of Blob Wars 2
is this a “just before kitten happens” picture?
i would like to believe that they rigged the number of players allowed on the field.
when CD was top, our numbers hit cap very easily.
and when we saw what we were up against, it was like 60 man zergs.
we only had like 30 and we had to queue…
maybe it was a case of roamers/small groups/individual guilds etc. but i doubt so.
they could put in a dredge tank. or vigil tanks.
why not just get rid of enemy name tags?
make it fractal dark at night
covet ops will be possible with it.
MOTHER OF GOD ………
lol nice idea.
would be awesome fighting a real player as the lord of the tower.
so that means no precursor making this year?
*looks at zommoros, oh man, he’s gonna cheat my money again
it looks awesome especially in huge wvw fights
brace yourselves, the flippers are coming
personal story ending will show you the credits
there will always be bad and good people.
that is life my friend.
bring on the clocktower!!!!!!!!!!!!
hahaha maw of the kittened
