bro recently bought gw2 heroic edition, within 1 week gets precursor drop,

me normal version, has been playing for 1year + , 0 precursor drop.

I have 8 alts. The biggest problem for gearing them all is:
- Laurels
- Guild Commendations
- Ascended rings (however you get them is up to you, I chose 10x pristine fractal relics per ring)
- Ascended backpieces (1850 frac tokens per char)
- Fractal tokens for agony infusions
- Gold. Lots and lots of gold. You don’t want to walk around in starter armor. You want to get nice skins. Expensive skins. They cost gold, transmutation stones. Then you want to get runes + sigils, etc.

Alts cost a lot of gold and time. But in the end, they’re so worth it. Being able to swap to whatever you feel like playing or whatever is needed. Thief for Dredge, Mesmer for CoF/Harpy/Swamp, Guardian when your party lacks one, Ele for AC/CoE, etc.

It’s totally worth it.

i thought someone did an indepth comparison for all-stat gear and the result was if you use more than 4 stats if i recall correctly , it is worth it?

Alternatively, they could copy another mmo which has done this aspect pretty well in my opinion

basically they designated zones or areas which gave players a bonus if they logged out or stayed in that area. longer time = more bonus.

in doing so, there were ‘designated’ areas where lots of players would congregate and it became a lively and bustling zone.

merging servers is the better option in my opinion

the problem is that companies always like to split their games into many different servers and by doing so, they make the population seem sparse. that’s where all the problem starts and new players come into the new zone and it’s a dead land and they start to form their own opinions.

they should seriously consider getting rid of servers and use progressive filling of zones instead. that should bring by the hustle and bustle spirit when gw2 just launched.

I read it as that he wants to get rid of servers. No servers, all overflows. Yes, you will always run into people and that isn’t a bad thing. Not always a bad thing, anyway. But I like being on a single server where I can hide in a quiet zone if I want to have some me time. Plus there’s other reasons I don’t like the idea much but we can stick with that one.

His idea is that by filling up the servers progressively, it would make areas more populated.

He wants to see “endless versions of zones” instead of the single servers we have now. That could and would lead to massive numbers of overflows for various maps. I don’t like that idea so I don’t agree with it.

His idea is to consolidate all the people in the same area across all servers so that areas that are sparsely populated will be vibrant with people once again.

In fact, we would likely see fewer servers instead or more overflows.

make capping a point only give points when you cap it. this will give the server an incentive to defend the tower/keep as you dont want the other server to get more points than you. (reward for defending MUST BE GREATER than capping for this to work)(also AC need to be Nerfed to Hell)

killing players should give you the same Points as wxp. the longer the enemy is alive the more points he is worth so no exploiting going on there.

One of the only viable ways is to use the Red Blue Green across the board teams to balance out the population since server imbalance are pretty much impossible to balance.

If RGB is too simple a name, perhaps we could use the gods name like grenth lyssa etc. so we get like 6 gods to fight under?
