Lmao oh gods… You must want him to sound like the hulk huh? I dont have anythinf against masculine men, I jus think ANET shouldve given us variety.
Haha well, I guess I am a fairly masculine guy myself. Ultimately, the tone of someones voice just contains so much information. If that information doesn’t fit you AT ALL, it is normal that we don’t identify with that very well. I imagine you and me sound very different too, and would feel very weird if we switched voices :p
This has come up so many times since the game first launched.
I remember trying to get a friend of mine to play the game with me. He was super interested in it, and wanted to play as a human male warrior. He made his character black, got everything ready to go, logged in extremely excited and hit the first cut scene.
…
He logged out, deleted the character, and made a female norn… wasn’t really as immersed with this character, though, so unfortunately he did not play long.
Since then, the lack of voice options has been a sore spot for me.
Hahaha wow! That is funny, sad, and understandable at the same time xD
Hope he gives it another shot.
Ughhhh I ABSOLUTELY HATE the Human Male voice. Wayyyyyyyyy to masculine/macho for my taste. The Male Sylvari voice is 1000 times better. He doesnt sound overly masculine. Sylvari males have the best voices IMO, they sound elegant, subtle with a dash of confidence. Wish the Human males got that.
Its one reason why I wont make a male Human… I feel like if I make a pretty man, his voice and face wont match. Ugh ANET. Thats why I main a Human Female.
Hahaha when I read your words first I thought “cool, another person who feels the same way”. Turns out you are pretty much on the other side of the spectrum. To me he just sounds like a wimp :p
Hahaha, it is quite funny that you are trying to criticize me because I say I dislike a certain voice a lot, and then continue to elaborate how a different voice breaks immersion for you, with some supposed reason why your argument is better than mine :’D
You should read what I wrote again. I think the acting (and the directing of the actor) was poor — I don’t think it met ANet’s needs.
In contrast, your criticism is that it doesn’t meet your expectations about how a particular character’s voice would sound. I don’t have any expectations about that.
It was never my intention to elaborate on the details of why exactly I dislike this voice so much, because everyone has their own taste. I simply want to get an idea of how other people think regarding this issue.
Do I agree that having a choice of voices would be good? Yes.
Do I think it’s realistic to think that ANet can consider this? No.Looks like you agree with me, but you also like to be a kitten.
I like kittens; I wouldn’t want to be one. Try not to take that personally.
I was talking about a different voice for the playable human male character, not about adding lines. This can easily be done with one of the existing actors. Of course, I understand it may not be fair towards other races and genders if only one of the gender+race combos gets a new voice. But like I said, I don’t wish for a new actor. Just a different one.
Factually, no, it’s not at all easy to just hire a new actor, book studio time, and get them to record hours of dialogue and expect it to be any good. It’s similarly not realistic to think that it’s simple to replace an existing actor — one of the English-speaking actors couldn’t continue (Charr/male) and someone new was hired for LS3; they didn’t have that person go back and re-record all the old dialogue.
The closest they’ve come to admitting an issue is when they called back the voice actor for Trahearne for Living Story, they changed a small number of lines of his character for the personal story, primarily his “idle speech” (e.g. “this won’t end well” and “moving on”) and asked him to re-record.
There had been huge criticism of how the acting didn’t fit the circumstances. The actor agreed and was (reportedly) enthusiastic about giving it another take (and, one presumes, he got paid for it). In other words, the original acting didn’t work for ANet.
You’ll also hear his voice as some of the Asura in Verdant Brink and the guy near the mystic forge amazed at the huge collection of weapons Zomorros is amassing.
tl;dr The question is never “do I personally like the acting” — it is whether it meets ANet’s intended goal for the voice.
You don’t have to agree that the norm female acting is poor for any circumstances — that’s merely my opinion.
You are having a discussion with your own misinterpretation of my words. You are still being a kitten, but perhaps I was wrong to assume that you enjoy doing that. Would only make it funnier if you didn’t :p
I know what you’re talking about OP. I wouldn’t say the human male voice has ever broken immersion for me. It happens to fit my human male character pretty well so I can’t complain. The female norn voice does bother me though. The one that gets me every time is sometimes when I leave a merchant she abruptly says “I gotta go.” It sounds like she is in urgent need of a restroom…
My favorite of the protagonist voice actors is the male asura. That guy nails the asura inflections and nuances perfectly.
Interesting that so many people dislike the female Norn voice. I actually like it. She doesn’t sound like a wimp, as the humans do. But as I mentioned right before your post, I am pretty sure I have found my solution! I am currently excitedly downloading the German, French, and Spanish audio, can’t wait to try them all out!
[…] each supported language. […]
Wait a minute, that’s it!! There actually ARE 3 other human male protagonist voices! I can just change my game to German, French, or Spanish audio!! I am fine with any of those languages, so I am super happy
. Can’t believe i didn’t think of this before ^^
I’ve always wondered about the possibility of a vocal pitch “slider” upon character creation that gives you a small amount of personalization to your character’s voice. But I have a feeling this is something that’s been discussed before, and I’d be surprised if Anet hasn’t already considered this as a workaround to re-recording each and every single line of dialogue in the game with different voice actors. Most likely, they considered the option, played around with it a little, and came to the conclusion that the pitch-shifted voices sounded bad in practice.
That said, I think hiring new voice actors for each existing race and gender is probably the wrong suggestion to make on this topic because as Erisk and others here have said, that option is prohibitively expensive.
Does anyone have a better idea for a technical way to alter the current voice recordings and make them sound new and/or different, without requiring massive development time to implement? If folks could offer up some fresh, approachable ideas, the devs might be more inclined to pursue them.
It’s cool that you are thinking about something that Anet would be more likely to implement. I came up with the following idea:
I think it would be awesome if I could simply turn off the voice of my own character, and instead get some text that I can read aloud. That way I can do my own voice, which would be a lot of fun for me. To people who don’t actually do much role playing this option isn’t interesting, but not harmful either. It could be sold as a feature just for the role players of the community.
A way to go about it very efficiently is to simply cut the audio of the protagonist, and instead show a summary of what approximately is about to be said. Then if you aim your mouse at the line and hold it, you get a full text of what you could say. In practice this would be the exact wording of the actual voice actors. Then if you click on it, you tell the game that you are finished talking and conversation continues.
In the options menu, there could be a “role play your own protagonist” selection that is obviously turned off by default.
The human male voice completely kills immersion for me.
I can’t speak for anyone else, but when I’m “immersed,” I accept that people speak the way they do. If you live in any sort of multicultural city in RL, you’ll meet people whose accents completely defy expectations.
My character looks like an evil thief, he really shouldn’t talk the way he does.
I didn’t realize there was a set way in which evil thieves spoke. Do they speak with an Evil Thief™ accent?
I was wondering if there are more people who feel this way. I wouldn’t mind paying for a more suitable voice.
Sure, I’d love the option to pay gems for more voices. As others have said, it’s impractical. To add just one alternative/origin to the game means adding 40 more voice actors, not just for existing dialogue, but for every single line of dialogue in the future. 5 races * 2 genders/race * 4 supported languages.
Norn female is worse imo.
Indeed. She sounds like an actor who is speaking the lines for the first time, without any context. She breaks immersion for me, not because I expect her to sound a particular way, but because she doesn’t seem to care about anything she’s saying. When she says, “the spoils of battle” (on finding a rare item), I keep thinking she stepped in something left behind by her dog.
Having said all that I did make an African American char
TIL American imperialism extended to Tyria — I didn’t realize there were Africans, Americans, or anything other than Tyrians in this game.
Light-skin and dark-skin human character are all Krytans of one sort or another, some with ancestors from Cantha or Elona from before those areas became inaccessible, i.e. 250 years ago in game time. It’s hardly surprising that they sound much alike.
Hahaha, it is quite funny that you are trying to criticize me because I say I dislike a certain voice a lot, and then continue to elaborate how a different voice breaks immersion for you, with some supposed reason why your argument is better than mine :’D
It was never my intention to elaborate on the details of why exactly I dislike this voice so much, because everyone has their own taste. I simply want to get an idea of how other people think regarding this issue. Looks like you agree with me, but you also like to be a kitten.
However, you aren’t really demonstrating cleverness.
I agree Randulf, a silent protagonist works usually. but when GW2 was initially marketed, they were basically boasting about the personal story-line. A silent protagonist doesn’t really suit this type of marketing I think. So yeah, no point in hoping for that now.
I recently returned to GW2, and have been playing the story with my gf. It has been really fun, apart from one important aspect. The human male voice completely kills immersion for me. My character looks like an evil thief, he really shouldn’t talk the way he does. Pretty much any of the other male voice acting would fit better.
When I started playing 2 years ago, I thought that this was something that would definitely be added as there must be more people who dislike it as much as me. I am a bit disappointed that nothing changed on this front. Basically I am forced to mute dialogue, and skip all conversation scenes. I was wondering if there are more people who feel this way. I wouldn’t mind paying for a more suitable voice.
Fights between zerkers can sometimes still take a long time. At some point fights just become never-ending. Zerkermeta keeps the pace high, it really doesn’t seem so bad to me.
Unfortunately, disconnects are not nearly rare enough. Sometimes people will think there has been a rage quit, when in reality the leaver is probably only raging because he got kicked.
Melee rifle FTW!!!
I sincerely hope the thief specialization won’t be rifle. I can accept the pistols as it is the pirate style, but rifle is really going too far.
They make noise, are not stealthy at all, and most importantly friggin lame.
Give us a ninja asssassin style longbow instead!
If it is to be a melee weapon, GS may be cool. But dual swords makes a bit more sense perhaps. Either way, I am curious as to what kind of skills/mechanics a melee weapon could bring that’s worthy of specialization.
Fair bump Shanon. I simply ignore the dailies now, as if they don’t exist anymore.
Hi OP, we all hope it’s a joke too.
This is the therapy topic for the May 20th Patch’s disabling shot trauma.
Please tell us how you feel.
If its a joke, the humor is extremely bitter and not een remotely funny. Using disabling shot is now like getting feared and drained of initiative at the same time. How could that possibly be a skill?
PLEASE Anet, DONT LEAVE IT LIKE THIS :’(
There should just be one large Arena somewhere for duels. May work best with some kind of entry barrier, so people won’t bother non-gladiators. Perhaps a quest scaled to your level.
A factions based war in the PvE maps would be cool, but similar to WvW. ArenaNet would never do it. Maybe they come up with something else involving factions though, I hope they do.

1) Anet is already considering how people feel about skyhammer
2) They know its just the same people posting here again
3) People who are indifferent about skyhammer, or in their satisfaction see no reason to visit the forums won’t vote
4) I voted remove, and this thread annoys me anyway.
Alright, so I made a thread about an idea I got thanks to Aboulia’s view here. Here’s the link:
It is not like there are no other problems, but PvP right now just isn’t fun across the varying skill levels. Pretty much every game that became an eSport at some point, allows players a simple start. The game should get more complicated as you get better, and when you are ready for it. In the meantime just play at your level. Between the easy PvE and the hard PvP, all we need is a middle ground and gradual progression. WAY more people would actually get into PvP like this.
So why do we want this?
5 reasons:
- More players in PvP
- Natural PvP progress
- PvP Easy Mode
- Better Experimentation Ground
- More Fun and Victory
More players in PvP
Many of my friends come to PvP once or twice, get their face obliterated, and then never come back. The Current PvP system isn’t very inviting for new players. PvP battles are complete chaos in the beginning, and it’s hard. With this system, players can do well on their first try making them stay and improve. More players are important for improving the PvP realm.
Natural PvP progress
Right now, players are just thrown into the deep with PvP. Your level increases regardless of your skill. There is no actual way to measure your success you play hundreds of ranked matches. Since with this system you only need one other player to test your skill, you can start working your way up from the bottom while learning the game gradually. The higher your skill gets, the more actual players will be in the teams, and the more complicated the fights will be. By the time you start doing the real 5v5’s, any player will be confident about what is a good strategy. The player will have earned lots of victories and rewards.
Easy mode
Sometimes you feel like fighting without being overly focused. Just relax and enjoy, it doesn’t matter if you win. This is normally hard, because your teammates need you. There is peer pressure, and you just can’t suck in front of your team. Why not enjoy a mode that works, but is much simpler. Assign some tasks to Henchmen so you know exactly what is going on, and fight it out with one other player (hotjoin).
Better experimentation ground
Battles are always different, and therefore often impossible to compare. With henchmen, you can just try different strategies against a friend in hotjoin while the teammates are doing almost the same as last time if you set them to. This can provide a lot of insights on what is an effective playstyle and what isn’t, as long as you remember it is more of a simulation than the real thing. Miles more useful than the few profession NPC’s in the Heart of the Mists, and way more enjoyable.
More fun and Victory
I don’t know about you guys, but I often just want to have a random challenge between me and a friend. 1v1 isn’t exactly it, as dueling is just too unfair. PvP is about the capture points mostly, and 1v1 running around capping all points is just silly. But a fight with your friend about who can make the best henchmen team and win, is actually interesting. Its not meant as a serious format, but its nice to fool around with it and get a sense of personal victory rather than being happy with good teammates. And if you don’t like it, just go play actual Arena matches instead! This is meant to smooth out the learning curve anyway.
Many people at the forums here are skilled already, but consider what it could do for the player base.
When you are amazed at seeing 10 books hoarded in front of you, and hunger to click them for traits
When you see a cow pie and think it’s weapon
This is the history lesson.
This is the video that started the debate on spamming evade. The skills used in this video are still intact and unaltered.
The 2 opponents are ransacker rank and gladiator respectively. Both are warriors when they were in their prime buffed stage. That lead to quasi builds such as this.( http://intothemists.com/guides/479-wvw_super_troll_thief_ii) Read the description and then look at the skill rotation. It is all evade based skills, or just up front evading rinse-repeated over and over again. It was builds like this that eventually lead to vigor reductions, but not reductions in skills that inherently also apply evasion while being used.
As a thief player I have agreed with many that all thief builds ultimately come down to them using the same mechanic regardless of build. That is stealth/evade. This is what limits thief in terms of diversity. They have no sustain, nor can they afford to live without stealth. I have also felt there should be more to their steal and it should be more in line with mesmer shatters. That steal can perform different functions. You refer to acrobats based builds, but as the above video portrays, al evason spamming was done through skills, not trait trees. That means that unusually high up time on spamming evades is entirely possible without having to go grand master into acrobats.
Funny video. What’s the lesson though, is this supposed to be impressive? A guy who takes forever to win a 2v1 while he’s almost dead the entire time? And then fails when he tries again? Also, he chose the perfect opponents for making evades more effective.
I just read a great post by Aboulia, which gave me an idea which I think would be great.
So there is a problem for making PvP enjoyable at low skill levels. There is no logical ladder system at the moment. Why don’t we have a proper ladder system? It can’t be that ArenaNet didn’t think of it, so it must be that there simply aren’t enough players to consistently create 5v5 matches.
Here is the the thing that can solve a lot of issues:
Give us back the GW1 Henchmen. If you don’t know what that is: It is an NPC of the profession of your choice, that you take with you into battle.
The AI for this mostly exists already. New AI could be created for 3-4 basic roles you can assign to each NPC before battle.
So how would we use the Henchmen?
Before you start competitive PvP, you have to do placement matches 1v1, with your choice (or some automatic/default choice) of Henchmen. This is done in the Practice League, or some more original name for it. Practice League would only be for players who are low at the new ladder system and for placement matches. After the placement matches, players advance to have 2v2 battles with 3 henchmen at each side, then 3v3 with 2 henchmen at each side, and so forth. The number of Henchmen gradually decreases as you go on to fight at more serious levels. A fight at higher level would never involve Henchmen.
Furthermore, this should not mean players can’t fight normal 1v1 battles in PvP. Hotjoin can remain the same, except for one extra possibilty. The change is that hotjoin also allows players to manually set battles with a chosen number of Henchmen, for those who just like to fight this way.
Share your thougts.
EDIT: typos and more fitting title
(edited by Zero.6592)
Good post Aboulia. Although others here have mentioned problems that matter, I believe you got the essence of what needs to change to promote GW2 as an eSport. Also, it seems to me that it is quite possible to make PvP more enjoyable for players of low skill. It is just a matter of structure.
Good example of how amazingly sad complaints can get.
That painful mistake when you think killing the ranger outside the point allows you to give him a slow death… and it turns out he has a beartank with resurrection magic more powerful than Gandalf’s.
I am currently working on a video series covering roations for all the different classes and roles
hope it will get online soon
Nice, sounds like a big project. It’s good to hear you are still making video’s
I am having the same issues. I thought it was my internet at first, but after a whole bunch of tests I discovered my connection is perfectly fine. So what’s going on here?
The idea is not bad, but recently I have been getting disconnected an awful lot (outside of GW2 my internet is perfectly fine). Getting dc never gave me a 0 points ending so far, but I imagine losing gold as well as the match because of connection issues would be frustrating as hell.
People should definitely be punished for being a kitten in tournament games though. Hopefully Arenanet will design an elegant system for it.
I am Sick of playing spvp and tpvp and spvp is the only thing because spvp is the most unfair got dam thing in this game. because of the that auto-banlanced works lets say that it is 4vs5 ppl and you are on the team with 4. then you just spectate and when auto-B has done it work well then you can just jump on the winning team and get more rank points. I would love if A-net would so if the figth turns unfair the team with less players get some sort of buff. because auto suck all so for the players on winning team because one of them go from being on the winning team to the losing and have just wasted alot of his time. What they also should be looking at is how they sort ranking in spvp because you have all the high ranked players on one team and then you have all the low ranks on the other team so lvl 60 50 40 30 20 vs 10 4 5 6 and then maybe one lvl 50 because that is fun to be the high one with all the new beginners yeah gg A-net do some thing about it plz. i only play spvp because i dont know if i am going to be there for the hole figth or not and i dont want to be a idoit to my team mates in tpvp so normaly you would see spvp as a place to relax and having fun but really it is the place that is the most fostuating in this game. sry for my bad english
You guys also feel sorry for him, and then a second later laugh realizing the world will always be full of such sillyness?
Pfff, such bullkitten man. 500 allows awesome comebacks.
Sure you need skill for Skyhammer. The problem is that playing on skyhammer is a completely different game than playing any other map, and you have to change your build just for this map. I often find myself laughing my kitten off in Skyhammer, but yet I never look forward to it. If Skyhammer would be taken seriously in any kind of way, profession balance is completely destroyed. Skyhammer should leave rotation, and have their own server for people who want some laughs on this absurd battle ground.
Would be an awesome update. This current point system complete bs.
I was just playing my Guardian, ended up in Skyhammer. I banished some charr warrior through the air at point C, he ended up falling down. So I look at my targets status to find out he’s at half health. Except he’s nowhere to be found. I walk to the edge, look down, and wonder what the hell is going on. That friggin hero is just walking around way down there as if he’d only just tripped off his stool, and proceeded to fight some wurm.
How the hell is this possible?
Mwah, for solo or team it doesn’t happen much. Hotjoin is just for fooling around anyway. I don’t feel like wasting time on a bench.
ambush is terrible the thief summoned hits like a pillow. trip wire isn’t to bad. and where are you getting 4 summons? you only have ur elite and ambush thats 3, one of which doesn’t hit hard and the other has a high cd
Actually, you can potentially get 5 summons at the same time. Prepare ambush, it recharges, then enemy steps on trap, place it so that it will go off soon >> 2 thieves, then thieves guild + rock dog. including you, that could make 6 v 1 in a 1 on 1 duel :p
I tried it, and the build idea doesn’t go well with being full glass. I made some alterations:
http://intothemists.com/calc/?build=-cF3V;1VwFa0R5R-kd0;9;49T-T-2;052A;124A;1LBW4I;1Ewk2Ewk28u
Damage remains, but now you are also quite resilient. It isn’t easy to use the traps optimally, especially if you have to keep dodging the vital attacks your enemy throws at you. But it definitely works if you use the skills right. And its fun
scorpion wire spamming skyhammer noob
Yeah, spamming dem 20 second cooldowns…..
Don’t be so defensive Dalil, he was just finishing your list. Quite funny actually :p
I like S/D, one of the main reasons for that is that I like to be unpredictable. I was wondering, how is your foe liking your dodges, constant teleports, and high crit damage if he also has to deal with 4 summons and tripwires?
I didn’t try this yet, but this build sure seems like fun to me.
http://intothemists.com/calc/?build=-cF3V;1VwFa0R5R-kd0;9;49T-T-1;002A;124A;1LBW4I;1Ewk2Ewk25D
Crit chance is still very high, especially with fury and side strike. this means that the distractions you create can be optimally utilized with high damage output from either shortbow or sword. When your foe trips on the wire, those summons and your crits will hit like a ton of boulders, and more importantly, irritate the hell out of your enemy. Not having shadow refuge is a loss, but 1vx you should not need it and in a teamfight creating chaos while critting down hurting enemies is how you help.
You could get Power of Inertia over Assassin’s reward, but I think this build will cause enough pain without.
Share your thoughts.
EDIT: this version works better >> http://intothemists.com/calc/?build=-cF3V;1VwFa0R5R-kd0;9;49T-T-2;052A;124A;1LBW4I;1Ewk2Ewk28u

Ah yea, I was a bit careless. 6 in shadow is fun, but typically not useful enough in sPvP.
Hi Mijo! Don’t listen to these guys saying it is not viable. Look at this video, Sensotix here is one of the top thieves around:
He makes a valid argument why D/P can be better than the more popular S/D, and IS better for his style.
The first idea isn’t that bad, if the thief only shows for like 1/3 sec. The rest punishes thieves that don’t really use stealth, so that doesn’t work at all. However, also the first idea would not be a problem as this would make Asura stronger. This issue is already at the table. Nothing serious if you ask me, but no need to make it worse.
People seem to have a lot of issues with stealth. No one ever gave me a convincing reason why there is lack of balance here. Every single class is “OP” in their own way, that is just how things are in Tyria.
People will always hate on thieves, and people will always find reasons to rationalize their emotions. Thieves are designed to be irritating, and they succeed at it.
This has nothing to do with being too powerful.
I agree, one should never be forced to have a trait like this.
And besides for MAYBE fiery greatsword that trait is completely useless.
For any might stacking Ele this trait is taken for use with Lighting Hammer to increase the number of auto attack we can do for the blast finisher in fire fields.
Conjurer is not necessary for FGS as in most case after your done with its rotation the Boss/Mobs you used it on will be dead.
I think he was speaking in the context of PvP/WvW
Yes, I was. A large portion of the PvE content doesn’t have much to do with traits anyway.
I am quite new to playing an Elementalist, so this may be an old notion for you. But since I discovered how weird Ele traits are I am very curious what kind of excuse Anet could have for this.
We Elementalists have 5 Conjure skills to choose from, 1 of which is an Elite skill.
We Elementalists have 4 Cantrips to choose feom, no Elite skill.
Based on this info, you would think Conjures are more important to us than Cantrips right? So what the hell is going on with our traits?!
Traits related to Cantrips:
Fire IV: Cantrips give 3 stacks of might.
Fire VIII: Cast the cantrip Cleansing fire when you have 3 conditions.
Earth III: Cast the cantrip Arrmor of Earth at 50% health
Water III: Cantrip has 20% lower recharge
Water IX: Cantrips grant regeneration and Vigor
combine with Water XI: regeneration removes conditions
Now the impressive list that makes Conjures more interesting:
Fire II: Conjures have 10 more charges.
Thats ALL. And besides for MAYBE fiery greatsword that trait is completely useless. It doesn’t change your power, rather makes you hold on to the weapon longer than is good for you.
Seriously?? How could anyone think this makes sense?
(edited by Zero.6592)
Thanks guys, that is helpful. Our trait options definitely don’t make much sense now that I look at it carefully.
I am new to playing an Elementalist, and I love it so far. I noticed moving around fast plays a big role for any Elementalist. I started off with D/D, and I soon started using Acana VI: Windborne Dagger, giving me 25% extra movement speed. I looked around a bit, and noticed most D/D players don’t even use Windborne Dagger. Besides, I am thinking I might prefer D/F. I can’t get ride the lightning without off-hand dagger, but there are many other ways to be fast.
So what do you think are the best tricks to use for fast movement for D/D or D/F? This includes traits, runes, gapclosers, anything. And how important do you think movement speed is in sPvP and WvW?
Fun. Definitely fun.
Me and another engi just got ruined by a d/d thief, the build is still and always was viable.
People in the thief class just want a faceroll though. When a thief talks about viable, they mean “never losing or dying”
If a thief killed 2 engis, then the engis should not be pvping in the first place. Who knows what else will kill them.
Yes, because not practicing is the way to go. Thanks for your wise contribution Mr. Enlightenment.
I have free camera enabled just for this. I always have my right mouse button held down for steering, so free camera on or off doesn’t affect me other than when I want to roll forward with withdraw or roll for initiative. When I want to, I continue moving forward in the direction I want to roll, let go of the right mouse button, click the left mouse button, hit the tab key which is my ‘about face’, then hit the skill. It doesn’t require any special or numerous bindings, just binding ‘about face’ to a nearby key. Then it’s just a matter of practicing it to get quick at it.
I decided to immediately try it and want to say thanks, that actually worked! Somehow the three-button method is impossible for me to screw up and this simpler version isn’t, but I suppose it just takes getting used to.
sorry for some typos im dutch so eng isnt that good
cheers from a S/P THIEF =)
Oh, I always thought it was valid to use my Dutch blood as an excuse for being awesome at stuff. My friend sometimes jokes around saying “If you ain’t Dutch, you ain’t much”. I guess that statement doesn’t really work the other way around :p
On topic:
My main is a Mesmer, and with most builds I eat D/P thief for breakfast. D/D thief on the other hand; a whole lot more problematic. It is silly to state a certain weaponset isn’t viable just because tournament winners decided to go with something else.
