Have never ever ever used a TP item, unless you count buying gold through gem conversions every payday, for W3 and I’ve done fine and never noticed the lack of them in any way.

So I would have to say, yes they’re just a convenience.

Also ANet is awesome for letting me buy gold legit since I have a freaking job, family and life. Why other MMO’s never understood this I’ll never know.

no no my friend. gem to gold conversion was not what i meant. i was talking purely on convenience items on TP. for example tripple exp/karma booster that works only in WvWvW, or half-hour +15% crit chance(this is just pure speculation, don’t take my word for it )….. well, you never know what they will introduce…

TL;DR

sometimes people jump server in search for liberated Temple of Balthazar….

for some, farmer=botter when it is not necessarily so. this game require intensive farming for high end gears. i have heard case where legitimate players wrongly banned because they are mistakenly thought as botters by ANET.

i myself sometimes farm in certain area in a particular moving pattern because it is the most convenient way, usually i move in circle. this may pose a bot-like behaviour, but does that necessarily make me bot ? no.

this makes me worry that i would get banned one day for playing the game the way ANET want us to play it, i.e. farming items for high end gear.

We at Crystal Desert need more NA/EU WvWvW guild coverage. We have considerable Asian/Oceanic force but we are considerably weaker during NA/EU primetime.

We need more NA/EU coverage to fight in Tier 3. If you’re looking for a no-queue WvWvW during your primetime (6pm-12am), you’re most welcome to CD.

I’ve thought about doing this as well. The problem is I don’t really have the time to run Arah that much(which is the dungeon with those stats with the coolest armor). So I don’t know if it would be worth it but I’m really temted to do it.

So, how much damage do you do with your auto attack?

actually my armor are mixed of karma armor + vatlaar…..to be exact 4 karma armor +2 vatlaar ( if i spelled it correctly)..

there isn’t much direct damage, and i don’t quite remember the exact number though…lol

2. about the rezzing, i think guardian signet of mercy (trait?) instantly heal the downed player, doesn’t it ? ranger elite spirit can also instant revive a player i think…

if you’re so used to voice comm, then PUGging will drag you slightly… i usually do dungeons with my guildies, and we use RaidCall. it is easier to voice communicate during the heavy fight than doing typing….. with PUG you don’t get to voice comm with them (normally)… i do PUG once in a while and really feel the difference…

I’m getting frustrated seeing the score for JQ and even SBI. Why are we losing bad to these newcomers to T1. This feels worse then HOD. JQ and SBI need to step it up a bit.

GW1 used to be about title grind . when I stopped it was around 30/30 titles which grant you title " God Walking Among Mere Mortal". i only managed 23/30 though. it was fun. i heard later it was lifted to 50/50 with a new title.

i’m not sure why GW2 doesn’t follow the same path.

GWAMM still comes at 30 maxed titles. The 50/50 people refer to is the Hall of Monuments points, which counts maxed titles, minipets, armor, weapons, and hero upgrades put into the Hall of Monuments area in Eye of the North from GW1. You can learn more about it at hom.guildwars2.com

my thought : current strategy is a stupid move really.

if i were ANET, my strategy would involve elevation of currently worn exotic armor to ascension. of course it will involve items that are available as drops if you willing to farm them, or at TP if you want the short cut. that way we’ll have gear progression, as they are not automatically become obsolete, only need to be upgraded….

Went to bed and woke up 8 hours later, glad that CD is still holding about 60% of the territory. Go CD!

Every night I go to bed and the score is something like this:

Crystal Desert – 165
Darkhaven – 195
Maguuma – 320

It’s really depressing to fight your way to the top during prime-time hours, only to wake up to a huge deficit. Overall it’s not that bad, I guess. I’ve come to feel that this bracket is the cutoff between those servers with larger Oceania and European players bases vs servers with just a large NA presence.

As a TC player who’s been playing tier 3 for endless weeks, I can assure you this is not the case. We have precious little oceanic/euro presence and against CD we routinely got beat down to +100 or less during their prime (against FA we went down to +45 at one point just two days ago). The trick is to make it all back during NA where they are weaker, as their prime hours don’t last long.

yup.. us at GMT+8 only start playing when we’re back at home after work, usually around 6/7pm…. most of us don’t have time to play all day….

i’ve seen few post about NA primetime, EU primetime, Oceanic primetime, and even servers advertising to have coverage for certain areas primetime.

so what is your definition of primetime ? at what hours (refer to your local time pls) ?

Since we are on the subject, what time do most of Crystal Deserts biggest guilds come on to play? I’m just curious.

CD is strongest in WvW at around 6pm-1am GMT+8 , so that would be around 3am-10am PST (not sure if i correctly apply the DST).

my patch feedback : i was lied to by ANET.

each side has advantages and disadvantages.

if you want to jump servers just do it. finish off all the influence you have by purchasing buff and use up the buffs and then move…

influence are easy to come by if you have large guild….
