i agree. its all the matter of choice. if you want to speedrun, join in. if you don’t like speed run, just leave the party and get your own snailrun team… it is not that hard… keyword : choice

any gear that is “Soulbound on Acquire” is not salvageable i believe, they can however be used at the mystique toilet

just want to comment on the population thing : wait until see the lower population Kaineng (only on High now) overrun the higher population server in WvW….

my point is : higher population doesn’t guarantee strength in WvW. it only give you chance to have more people participating in WvW…. so, the comment saying CD beating IoJ because of the higher population is invalid….

why new guild ? i believe there are a lot of Oceanic guilds in IoJ already. why new one ?

This matchup is beyond perfect. The scores are all so close, even IOJ, who is last right now, has a good shot at 1st place. None of us has a chance of going up into T2 while the T2 servers won’t be dropping down any time soon. As for T4, DB is in the same position as TC in the past. They will win for sure but will not be moving up any time soon. In other words, we will be fighting each other for quite a while longer.

yeah… i’m foreseeing this match up will last at least another 3 round, unless there is major WvW guild transfer in/out……

i personally do not have problem with entering AC with a low level if he knows what he is doing and not require me to babysit and rez him most of the time instead of fighting the mobs…. we are there to fight, not babysit…..

the other day day i did AC all 3 path on my Guardian. i got full reward for each path. few hours later i did AC again, on another character, all 3 path. again i got full reward for each path…

so you have to do :

char 1 : all path, wait few hours ( may be 2 hours or so) then
char 2 : all path again, wait few hours then
char 3 : etc etc……..

doing it this way i haven’t been hit by DR….

emm.. don’t forget that ANET did mention that they will in the future increase the level cap. even if they increase the stats of the legendaries, don’t you think it will become obsolete when there are new let’s say lvl 100 exotic. the only worth keeping then is the skin, which i’m not sure, but i suppose you could, transmute the legendaries ? no ?

OMG i love this match up. in the night before the last reset, everyone was having a laugh, you could almost see frequent 3-way fight….. my most LOL moment was when IoJ was attacking us CD at Greenbriar i think, when suddenly a group of FA flanking them from the side…… me and my guildmates couldn’t stop laughing on our RaidCall channel….

ectos are easy to get now. lvl 80 rare medium armor is the cheapest source of rare if you’re crafting to gamble for ectos. also my guildies tell me you can easily get rares in fractals now. so ectos are flooding the market now, and they may just be an element of currency for anyone.

nope. already checked. all i got in the crafting list is Giver’s Embroidered Silk Insignia, and it is lvl 375 recipe….

Giver’s Intricate Silk Insignia (Rare) is not in my crafting list even though when i hovered my mouse pointer on the recipe in TP it said i already learnt it…

i thought you can avoid the dimishing return of different characters by completing all the path of a dungeon with one character before doing it again with another characters ?

for example :

char 1 : path 1 2 3

then

char 2 : path 1 2 3

…no ?

happened to me yesterday…

1st time bug… she was not talking at all after reaching the spot

2nd time bug she talked but not moving to repair the cannon…

Anet decided that the game would not have a subscripion (unlike WoW, Eve…) nor have pay-to-win items (unlike LOTRO, SWTOR…). So, the players pay the bill with convenience items.

just a bit of off-topic, but LOTRO pay-to-win now ? i played LOTRO before GW2, and not remember which part of it is pay-to-win… all i remember is all the uber item there you can earn in game…. LOTRO is even a generous game in which you can earn the Turbine point needed to spend in the cash shop in-game by completing deeds, and those deeds are repeatable with different characters (usually people grind with new alt….)

back in early days, i thought 1 gold was a lot. now as my characters are in their 80s, 1gold is very easy to get. getting 4g is easy by farming orichalcum/omnom with my 3 characters….

that’s me. average player who don’t farm hard. there are players who farm real hard, they earn 100g a day. these people bought the gems in masses, creating demand for the gems.. and hence increasing the price in terms of gold.

also, i sense ANET would love it if the price continue soaring up, because more people will buys their gems and convert it to gold if there is high enough return. yes we know they say gems price are balanced by player demand, but we do not for surely know how far ANET involvement in determing the price….

is this recipe bugged ?

i bought the recipe from TP, and used it up, only to find out that all i learnt was Giver’s Embroidered Silk Insignia. thinking that i could have bought the wrong recipe, i went back to TP and checked the recipe and it said that i have already learnt the recipe, but no, it is not in my crafting list.

anyone else got this issue…?

if rising the gems price (in terms of gold ) will boost the gems sale (real money), i think anet might just keep the price up…..

also if you have all your bank slots and character slots unlocked using purely ingame gold turned to gems, and not by purchasing gems from anet, you’re exploiting

read this order :
1. goldseller gold price= cheap
2. mathematically worth more gold per dollar as compare to gems-to-gold conversion
3. some (who don’t care about the ban risk) people who need gems purchase gold from goldseller
4. then they purchase the gems in huge bulk, creating short supply..
5. more demand for gems = price goes up……

….. so i blame goldseller/buyer for this.

when gems was at 70s per 100gems, i predicted it will go to 2.5 gold. well it already did. now, when looking at the it again i predict it will go to 4gold per 100 gems in 2 months

mind you, Ehmry Bay is not named after a place in Tyria, but named after an ANET employee instead. how about that for a server name?

ET currently has the lowest population. if there is any new WvW global coordination, ET should be the ideal place to transfer to in surge.

by the way, i’m not from ET….

have a mesmer portaling a group of mesmers who already placed entry portals… everyone else move to those portals… yeah good move by ANET, now coordination is needed.

apart from the ANET staff who are obviously favouring thief, they have another party supporting them : rendering/culling issues….

responding to the official response : yeah right, like AOEing an empty spot where there is no thief would solve the issue…

we are at “full” status most of the time, yet have weak NA WvW coverage…

the reason why stealthy class in this game is overpowered is because their movement speed is not reduced by much when in stealth mode. stealth means to sneak, and to sneak means to move very slowly. in LOTRO when someone goes invisible their movement speed is reduced by 66%, however they can have a trait that have the reduction in speed up to 33% only i think.

ANET should implement this reduction in movement speed when in stealth mode as well….

yeah…. join the game, ignore negative forum posts/topics and you’ll enjoy the game…..

crafting never makes you rich in this game.

it is a leveling tool, especially chef…..

i don’t think there is formal alliance between FA and CD. mutual understanding perhaps, but not alliance as per say.

not sure what you mean by “take it back !” because you can’t simply take back the control of the siege golem like the other siege weapons….

Here’s a scenario that will play out every night on every other tower: spending 100+ lives and ~15 pieces of (poorly placed) siege to take a tower with 8-10 defenders with your 30 man zerg. ONLY to lose it 5 mins later to 5 people because every single one of your zerg ran all the way across the map to take Ebay’s keep when you could have left a few people to start trebbing our last keep from that tower and saved an hour and uncounted lives… or at least held it with 1 man and an arrow cart which would have also cut off our only supply (at the time). ah, there is one thing you don’t know about CD players. while we are playing WvW, we farm exp/karma as well. to farm exp/karma you have to capture. to capture something it must be at the hands of the enemy beforehand. so by leaving the tower unprotected, we kind of let you take it so that we can take it back from you and farm more exp/karma again….. ever notice green arrow on many CD players ?

we only protect strategic positions….

you can make report to the support, and perhaps they can help you with the correct transfer. but considering how slow their action on this matter can be, it may well be as effective as waiting for another week to transfer again…

at the beginning of the game, when gems were still cheap, around 25s-70s per 100 gems, i played my game slowly, accumulated gold and purchased gems when i have enough. then i slowly unlocked my bank space one by one till the limit, and also unlocked 2 extra character slot, all with gems converted from gold. at one time i was thinking am i doing the right thing, do i really need to unlock all these ? now with the gems price at current rate, i know i did the right thing….

i honestly don’t remember us at CD calling anyone, let alone TC, mindless zerg. that term was introduced by our opponents in these 2 match ups. if there’s anyone who love to use the term on another server it is certainly not from CD, most likely from our opponents in these 2 match ups.

It’s because you guys only want to acknowledge the good stuff about your server, you fail to give credit to your night crew who pulls 65% of your weight (reason being is because they easily fliped everything for you and upgraded it to make it easier to defend), saying you guys did it all. You guys failed to acknowledge you had numbers on us. You guys failed to acknowledge you guys had hackers til we showed the proof. And once again you’re failing to acknowledge this, I’m sorry but i can’t handle the mentaility that you guys are giving off for CD players, this is prolly why people bash on your server, because the people who post for CD are obnoxious with nothing constructive to say and for that this will be my last post because you guys seem to have ego’s too big for everyone here.

I’ll be realistic now since it’s my last post here, no guild from CD has impressed me at all, [KH] is your typical decent sized guild that every server has which is just average in skills.[rise] is your typical huge guild that zergs together (zerging is not bad, it is needed) and you’re missing the small zerg busting guild group that other servers usually have which is what sets you guys back in my opinion. Guilds like SM from EB, or guilds like OG from Mag. Basically when it’s all watered down, CD is an average playing server with a higher population than everyone in this server, thats all it comes down to.

Although i will come back to post here to defend myself if needed.

if your definition of night crew is Asian, i’m one of them, and I certainly do give credit to my fellow fighters.

we at CD no need to impress anyone from another server. we play for fun and let everyone else on the server enjoy the realm bonus. we play the way we play, not sure why anyone from another server whine about it and tell us “hey, you shouldn’t be playing like that !” . ego ? it was not us undermining people from other server, and claiming to be more skillful, we kept low profile mostly…
