alright may be a bit off topic,

on WvW EB map design, is blue generally perceived as the hardest to defend…..? ’cos i heard people said so….

if you want to know how to beat a class, then play the class…. that’s the reason i have alts….

well… i have 5 lvl 80s, and yet i rarely go to boss event and farm those chests. some people find that boss farming is their kinda game. it is just not mine. perhap not yours too.

but, yeah, the system is open to being abused. any system with slight loophole will. people will always find a way to get rich in game with minimum effort….

skill lag very bad in EB. was attacking guild claiming lord, i casted my skill, it kinda blinking yet not finished, suddenly i was located elsewhere and we capped the tower..lol

haha…. lol this thread is funny, after so many days of fighting, only a couple of days ago I started seeing people saying in this thread that KN get to decide who will come 2nd…..

so effectively….you are making it that killing the boss gets you the rare…not the chest itself…and reverting the chest back to its old drop table while still limiting the amount of times we can get said chest? why not remove the 1 chest per character limit if that isn’t where the guaranteed rare is coming from? is anet afraid we will flood the market with blues like before?

I believe the normal loot has also been improved, thus the char bound limit. I find I get rares more readily now aside from the guaranteed rare.

Yes, and that is what bothers me. Since I get 2 or 3 rares occasionally from chests since the patch, is it now going to be just one, and the rest blues and greens again, or will I have just as much of a chance at 2 or 3 rares as I do now?

think of it this way. as of NOW you are guaranteed rares from every boss chest you loot, and you can farm the same boss over and over again on different alts.

in the next patch they will make it so that you are guaranteed rares only once from a boss per account per day, and it is via a dancing chest (similar to daily). the normal loot chest will always be there after every time you kill the boss on different alt, and you have CHANCE (not guaranteed) to get different quality of loot , it could be white, blue green, yellow or even orange….

gameplay wise, not intentional. it’s a glitch that ANET has to fix.

T7 is the most balanced Tier rigth now…. T4 will be T8 v2.0

what if ANET hide the total score points and only display the PPT, and rearrange the following match up based on the score point only they know..?

would it be a better WvW ?

sorry, i fixed few time to get the proper phrase…

basically 1 boss chest per account per day would guarantee rares, similar to the dancing chest in fractal Maw…… if you farm the same boss again on the same account, no more dancing chest…. regular chest will always be there but not guaranteed rares…

what ANET has been trying to do is to match servers with (almost) equal strength, and glicko system provide the closest mean to achieve that.

what we need here is a point reset every 4 months, not equally for every server, but equal point for each server in each tier, and tiers are separated by 100 points……

a good commander says one word, and everyone hands him all their siege blueprints….

i guess OP never heard of GvG in WvW before…. yup it is normal in every match up….

Interesting, the closest comparison I could find to last week at this time is:
KN: 86k then vs 74k now
FA: 67k then vs 62k now
TC: 62k then vs 54k now
If we total up the points, make the totals equal and assume even distribution then it would be:
86 : 82
67 : 70
62 : 62
So if the numbers mean anything (no guarantees) it looks like FA came out of this weekend slightly ahead of last week by out playing KN. Some of our anecdotal observations on TC seem to support that. Good work FA!

I still want to see the gap between all 3 servers closed for a most epic showdown on Thurs/Friday.

in the last few days (reset weekend) Meow has been simulating the weekdays scenario i.e. not playing much during the non-Oceanic primetime….. perhaps that contribute to the points pattern….

reset time is always fractal time for me. the borderlands and EB are full !!!

reality check here :

1. i believe KN and SoR are of equal strength on different time zone.

2. KN would get beat in T1 just like SoR if they move up.

3. SoR would beat TC/FA in T2 if they decide to go down (i believe, not sure about their SEA/Oceanic).

4. KN is loving T2 match up very much since it is pretty much balanced. No urge to move to T1.

…so, fight on SoR people. win or lose, have fun in the game. there’s no need to implode.

nourishment can be part of the build. they add up to something. what’s wrong with it ?

build : weapon+ stats+ traits+skill+ nourishment etc…..

really, when defending a tower/keep/smc in WvW defenders should have the elevation advantage when they are on wall. therefore there should be an art of war guild upgrade that increases the attack range of the players defending them….

make it +15% attack range perhaps……

the only way SF can get out of T8 is by playing the match up politically. by that i mean slacking off a bit and let FC and ET gaining points, while at the same time maintain control not to lose points, making the delta around 5+… this process will take few weeks until FC and ET gain enough point close enough to SF, and then strike a blow out to get 100+ delta point enough to overtake HoD….

oh come on now, do we need another t8 thread…?

into the midweek, and pretty much awesome fights from all 3 servers, regardless of the coverage…

in GW1 condition is only applicable to fleshy object…. but they changed it in GW2….

the only solution to this problem is by resetting the point rating for all servers according to the tiers, for example :

Tier 1 – 1800
Tier 2 – 1700
Tier 3 – 1600
Tier 4 – 1500
Tier 5 – 1400
Tier 6 – 1300
Tier 7 – 1200
Tier 8 – 1100

… and reset it every 4 months……

to say everyone would be over-exaggerating i guess … many perhaps, but not to the extend of everyone…

i for one not sure if i would want 1…..
