Stop being swayed by potential cash grabs (as evidenced through the limiting of baubles and one life given on map restart).
If I cared about cash grabs I’d be working at Zynga where they design based on MTX. We don’t do that here. I’m trying to make SAB (And I mean SAB, not the GW2 rewards, achievements, titles, MTX, etc) a good, solid, fun game. That’s my focus. If W2 is not fun I will make sure it is changed so that it is fun. As I said above, the one-life thing was to add fun. I don’t find mindlessly throwing away lives to be fun. I want death to matter in SAB like it mattered in Mega Man and Metroid. That creates tension. Causes you to be careful. To THINK about your environment, enemies, and how you approach jumps. It is fundamental to creating the experience I want to create. But if you can jump back to the hub, then back to your group at the end of a zone with 5 lives again those lives are next to meaningless. The tension, awareness and thoughtfulness slip to the wayside because it doesn’t matter how often you die. It has nothing to do with selling anything.
Too bad somebody down there cares about cash grabs. Recently it was WvW league rewards, where T1 servers changed from “full” to “very high” immediately prior to the announcement. Now an infinite continue coin in the gem shop that is essentially required to play tribulation mode, largely due to the time-gate that it allows you to pass. The start of pay-to-win, where the gem shop offers more than conveniences/skins. This was the final straw for me, as I will no longer be playing the game. Too bad someone made this decision right as the best content was released.
I’ve done quite a few jumping puzzles since the patch and it seems that the amount you get is random, with a lower limit of 0 and upper limit of 9 (so far).
I know for the previous release of SAB the team score didn’t have any effect. Does it have any for this release?
It’s the first expansion. Infinite coin provides unlimited access to tribulation mode. Normal coins will only allow access temporarily.

Infinite continue coin from the GEMstore. SAB has gone that way too -.-
This is my primary issue with the SAB. You basically require a gemstore item to play tribulation mode, and some players may need it for the normal mode as well. The alternative is acquiring continue coins, which is time-gated (can get 10 per SAB zone per day via BB conversion, or a low chance at them from jumping puzzles), and largely a problem due to the fact that the SAB is temporary. A single checkpoint in TM can easily require multiple coins, giving gem purchasers a big advantage [avoids time-gate].
We now have an item in the gem store that allows access to content. Bad form.

Hoping for guaranteed drops off exotics for this material (the rest of the materials needed seem pretty reasonable, unsure about the dragonite/etc though), but nothing has been confirmed. 10 exotics per ascended weapon would already be significant, and it is going to suck pretty bad if it ends up requiring 20/40/… instead.
Hoping there isn’t a difference between low level and high level greens for the consumable. As far as I know, they are just as rare at low levels (seems rarer to me, but can’t be sure), and Anet seems to want us to salvage everything instead of just vendoring. With the same reward, I would expect low level greens to be similar in value to high level greens, especially if players are trying to raise magic find as fast as possible.

T1 is already Full, and its close to impossible to transfer to the top three populations JQ, BG, and TC.
T1 is not full. Click “world selection” and it says “very high”.
Edit: Would not surprise me if servers were “full” yesterday.

Being on Ferguson’s Crossing is finally going to pay off! Oh wait… never mind. Lets reward servers with more players and have a couple months of people getting roflstomped.

I only need 300 dungeon tokens to craft my Meteorlogicus, and after seeing it previewed, I don’t know if I will. The footfall effects look like they were made in MS paint. They are very distracting and do not fit with the item’s theme. Clouds would have been a much better choice.
I like that they are catering to different people (some like zerging, some like small groups, some like solo, etc), but don’t like how this part of the living story feels almost exactly like running around below the gauntlet. Once you’ve done one world zone event, you’ve pretty much done them all, making it pretty repetitive.
The playhouse was neat, but not really worth doing once you’ve gotten all of the achievements.
No alts for you! I am expecting account bound, soulbound on use (like temple gear), although purely account bound would be awesome.

Possible solution: new type of infused slots specific to 2h weapons (think 2h offensive vs existing offensive, could have 10 agony but only be placed in 2h weapons) [no idea on difficulty to implement something like this considering no idea on how their game is programmed].

Would not surprise me if a specific T7 material can be made in different ways (think zephyr sanctum RNG boxes). Using charged quartz wouldn’t be the end of the world either with the current supply (similar in cost to T6), but could become a problem later without additional sources of quartz crystal.
Achievement-based skin rewards should definitely be like the zenith/radiant/hellfire skins. I agree 100%
As far as I know, karma items are still necessary to allow champions to award it when killed (drop boxes that contain karma, champions don’t give karma on kill unless an actual event) [also applies to chests/etc]. For the daily, however, the jug should just be replaced with equivalent karma.
Couldn’t find any drop data, but I have done ~40 invasions so far and have gotten 8 shoulders (from bags), where each invasion is typically between 3 and 5 Scarlet bags. If you are worried about getting them, stop gambling, and just get the scraps.
I doubt they would require T7 mats to craft (for existing legendary weapons). Lots of players going for legendaries acquire a little bit every day, and suddenly changing the required materials would kitten them off.
If you are really good at timing/lucky, you can dodge the level up and stop your character from raising their arm while saying evade (you still get the level up though). Has only happened to me once but was pretty funny.
Hoping for a day/night cycle as well (+footprints).
Idea for a sweet minstrel: plays GW2 theme song as you move, and instead of footprints, a trail that resembles a staff with notes on it (that mimics said song).
I honestly think anybody affected by this change should have the option to respec their gear. I have some celestial trinkets with +mf that I absolutely would change to a new stat set now that mf isn’t going to be something I can stack.
If people with explorer armor/trinkets can choose a new stat combo for free, I don’t see why people with celestial armor/trinkets shouldn’t be allowed that same choice. The resolution should apply equally to everybody affected.
I agree completely. I know some people bought/crafted celestial as their magic find sets.
Already grabbed a few magic find sets to gear my guardian when the patch goes live (and if it doesn’t work as stated, not too much of a gold loss). Named sets with magic find are already starting to go up.
I still charge mine. Maybe there will be a use in the future, and if not, can always craft an exotic celestial set for my _.
Hoping for infinite use food, or even better, infinite use account bound that is better than existing food.
Same thing happens to me. Can only see the shadow (small black circle) and for some reason, some kind of a life bar when the boulders are close enough. Effect LOD is turned off, so must be something else causing it.

I’d probably end up buying all the skin sets if this was ever changed. Should do the same thing with infinite gathering tools (just “withdraw” them on any character whenever you want)/misc other items as well.
I would totally run around fully naked (or maybe just wear a helmet), but I doubt too many would.

Better yet, increase duration to 30 minutes and reduce cooldown to 5.
So close to being a good reward. The 5 minute duration/30 minute cooldown kills it though.
A.net just has to implement a recipe for upgrading copper doubloons, and all the kittening things with those silvers would end.
They wouldn’t end. People holding onto doubloons while saving for The Colossus would not be very happy (I happen to be one of those people).
Wouldn’t surprise me if the people farming Deadeye (and champions) all day were doing so to finish off legendaries. I know The Colossus has jumped in price almost 150g in the last week (which The Juggernaut requires, in addition to 250 silver doubloons).

If you don’t make into an event in the first 10 minutes you get to sit on the sidelines for up to an hour, so WHEN do they drop a new build?? JUST AFTER ALL THE EVENTS START! Why couldn’t they wait until all the events end at xx:45?
I’m guessing money making exploit? No idea, actually. xx:45 would have definitely been ideal for the people playing. AFK 45 minutes.
I doubt they will delete the gear (unfair to players that have it).
Choosing stats sounds like too much of a hassle to implement.
I think they will replace it with a stat such that it will remain a unique combination of attributes. EX: Explorer becomes “power/precision/vitality” (or some other stat, hoping for this one though). No clue on items like “sigil of luck”.
There is a video floating around of a warrior getting it vs Subject 7. Personally, I got it from Deadeye pre-patch on a condition necro (required 5 or so tries).

Pretty sure it can depend on the bubble you are in. Pre-patch, Subject 7’s name would be yellow in some bubbles and red in others.
Edit: same with the quaggan charging you immediately in some bubbles and standing there in others.
Randomized teleport is ok, but they should really give the new players time to read his special effects under his nameplate before the fight begins.
Additionally, those with slower computers need a few seconds for the boss to even appear. Now you get kill-shot by an invisible monster.
Edit: Don’t bother queuing and moving away from the bubble. Hello “zoning”, followed by death.

I’ve seen Deadeye port to other bubbles multiple times. Yesterday, he was being fought in two bubbles that were next to each other at the same time, and the player in the other bubble was getting downed. As soon as they were downed, my Deadeye disappeared and went over to their bubble.
Edit: when the other player died my Deadeye typically returned.

Would make sense to have achievements for this. There are already achievements for doing personal story on different characters/joining different orders, but those are completed in the 30s or so. Similar to how you get achievement points for crafting every 50 points, it would be nice to have achievement points for every 10 or 20 levels on each class.
Subject 7 doesn’t even drop enough to cover the tickets used to fight him (assuming you win).
Not everyone plays thief. Would like to see a video of a warrior getting the 8 orb achievement.
Edit: Or even better, a video of each class doing it.

Also doesn’t help that there is a ton of terrain below the arenas that you do not care about while fighting bosses. This only adds to the lag.
