I swap my traits and weapons more often with my Mesmer than the other classes during fractal runs.
One thing I’ve notice since the GS line of attack fix, is when mobs are aligned and you target the rear one, that range damage is applied to all mobs in that line. I love dungeon running with tanks that hold them for me to align them up. My damage with GS is amazing.
Sceptor is a joke.
Giant slayer is doable (I did it in about 6 months) alternating between 2 full up giants and those that spawn from the unit golem in the toxic bog.

Wow the changes made the guild bounties a lot tougher. Think now they not worth it. None of our previous strategies that worked before work on them now (e.g. null fields not stripping boons off them, feedback bubble not working either on them and I’m not talking about the one where AOEs are countered).
We had 2 bounties done and when rest zoned in for the 3rd for easy kill the login servers went down. Anet you owe our guild 5 merrits.

Today, after I turned in the logbook to Refugee Fivel I did not get credit for it. I went back to retrieve it again and now can’t retrieve the logbook anymore. I’ve already turned in the remaining items (incl. the ship in the bottle). I’m now stuck at 5/6 turnins for this, fix this bug.
The lack of the ability to form raid groups has become more and more needed with the new guild mission events. Please we need to have this grouping capability. You can restrict it to just members within the guild itself, but we need this grouping capability now.
I already got the 20% more gold slot filler and plan to use it on my amulet when I get it.
I like the suggestion of spectator mode. That would really be nice. Also, get rid of invulnerability. Allow players to shoot across gaps or from different levels. Invulnerability sucks and removes the other point of tactical positioning.
Just do dailies and build up your karma jug supplies. I already have nearly 200 of them and nearly 400 drops saved up for my other toons. Also have 2 full bank sections full of dungeon tokens that can be used by my other toons.
Today’s patch resulted in a loss of my slayer achievment points. I have everything completed with the exception of giants (just got 500 yesterday). Anyway, now when I slay a new creature I get 5 slayer achievement points for killing it even though I completed that creature slayer before. Its seems this last patch resetted the slayer achievement (for some reason).
Until they allow all mantra setup cast be done concurrently, mantras are not useful in dungeons/fractals.
Tell that to a fellow guildie that has done over 150 level 10 and better runs of fractals and still has not gotten one ring.
Change signet of inspiration to choose swiftness 100% of the times when out of combat. There problem solved.
You should get a precursor of your choice if you complete Slayer achievements.
I’ll give you an example of the failing of RNG. We have one guildie that has done over 130 fractal runs @ lvl 10 or better and has not received one ring. Talk about the extreme end of the bell-curve. Its so sad to hear him say over vent, no ring still.
As for the mystic toilet, I don’t waste my time on it. For now I will work on my completing slayer (nearly @ 500 on only what’s left – giants).
Had two DCs so far with the same error codes. Next time I will record it and put it in this message. My connection is fine because I never lost ventrilo during GW2 DCs.
I can do combo kills on my own why do I need a partner?
This is bs. I’m never out of sight of the boss and I have not pulled them beyond their zone of combat. A good example is when I solo the Champion giant inside the town of Nageling, while my mesmer is dps’ing him continually (have 2 duelists out) and GS autoattack his HP bar resets from time to time forcing me to restart whittling his health down again. ANET FIX THIS BUG. You should have a CD on hp reset on all bosses that does not occur until they have been out of combat for at least 5 seconds. That would be a simple fix to this issue. I’ve also seen this happen on Giganticus Lupicus and it is fricking annoying.

I’ve never deleted a character but noticed that sometimes my female characters top of their head are missing (like the whole hair object is gone). Also have seen the invisible face with the eyes showing phenomena. Its must be some sort of layered object glitch.
With the jumping puzzle addition, I now no longer need to deal with any pvp or WvWvW. Thank you Anet for making that decision easy for me. One less thing to worry about now.
BTW: You should have varing difficulty levels on all your jumping puzzles.
On all dungeon bosses/pve champs ability to “magically” reset their hp bars during combat. So many times, while dps’ing them, they magically reset their healthbars (a blantant example is the Giant in Nageling). Put a global CD of several seconds on them resetting their HP during a lull in combat.
One word describes them, LAME.
Do fast COF path 1 runs. You can farm nearly 8 gold in an hour. Without the bar my best was 5 gold in an hour.
I support all these upcoming changes. Especially, addressing the DC issue (so much wasted time lost on that one).
Warrior hands down. Compared to when I leveled my main (a mesmer) I was shocked how easy it as I am now leveling a warrior. I wish the warrior development team would also work on mesmers. Simple example: Warrior savage leap across gaps when mesmer blink can’t, kitten
I’ve done all the slayers except for Giants. Why don’t risen giants count as giants? Surely, you did not limit the slayer stat count to just one category per npc? Also, there is a problem with the Nageling Giant. Several times while dps’ing him, his health bar magically resets. I’m not talking about regen. When I solo him with my mesmer, his bar fully resets within 2 seconds as I dps him. This happens when I use GS/staff. I’ve found the problem doesn’t occur as much if I use the sceptor/pistol. I’m full exotics with 55% crit and over 1250 condition damage.
Mesmer so called burst damage requires illusions to run at you to get within AOE range of the shatter. Guess what, the illusions are SLOW. If you get caught that close to them you deserve to be bursted down. Once you see those illusions are close to you put some distance and gee no problem. I duke it out with a guildie warrior and he learned to keep distance from my illusions and he now usually wins. At first I was the majority winner. Mind wrack is the only burst damage the mesmer has and is critical in pve. Nerfing this will jeopardize the mesmer’s contribution on that side of the fence. But, of course Anet will hear your whine. Here’s my whine, why is the total CD duration sum of skills of the mesmer the longest out of all professions. Let’s add some CD time to the other professions to make them the equivalent and then we will see.
I don’t see the level of reward for spvp participation as being conducive to it. Suggestions are as follows:
1) All spvp should allow party groups – randomizing players make it less enjoyable and to be honest how can you claim it is structured when the players can’t group as they see fit (in other words eliminate the tournament ticket requirement).
2) Rewards need a massive improvement. Wow, the chests you get as you advance in rank …. suck. Oh gee, I got armor or weapon I can’t use. At least auto-match those to your profession. GOLD should also be awarded especially if a majority of the games are won that day.
3) Unlike the above comments, I like the down-state mechanic. It adds another dimension to the gameplay.
4) Several times during pvp matches I have to hit my action keys more than once for the action to work. Also, character movement action has also stopped/stuck for no apparent reason. This same problem exists in PvE side as well. FIX THIS!
5) 80% of the Elite skills are a joke (I agree with all above on this)
6) Similar skills between professions are uneven, betraying that they were developed by different people/teams. eg. Why can warrior savage leap cross gaps, when no other character blink/teleport can do it? Makes no sense to me. Allow all blink/leap/teleport skills to cross gaps.
Since I’m not good on timed jumping puzzles, I’ve set my sights on slayer achievements (all done except for a few left in plants and of course giants). Even though there are only 2 giants (boo Anet, rizen giants should count too), I’ve been working on soloing the one in Nageling since there is a lot more room to kite there and no grub mobs to worry about. The problem with these giants is that their HP bar will reset, even though you are dps’ing them if you use a GS/staff setup (don’t know why but it appears to be a bug in my book). As a recourse I switched to a sceptor/pistol and kept with it through out the fight. The duelist is able to keep enough of a dps on the giant to keep the HP bar reset problem from occurring. The fight of course is long but it is possible. It will take awhile, but I’m finding the fight sort of enjoyable because you have to keep your wits duking it out with him. 33 down only 967 more to go :-)
We had 3 people do fortifications and 2 do dps. Placing ice walls between the raised pads to keep the dolyaks safe is key. We then splattered all around with ballistas and snowmen to keep the waves at bay. Didn’t have too much trouble with the golem. Did put some weapons out beyond the center area facing inward for support. The toy spawn seems to ignore them once they a certain distance off (yet they can do incoming fire to help take them down).
I actually had fun in this dungeon. Took me 3 tries to make it through with 5 dolyaks. But, it should have been designed to allow people to party up for the run. It sucks having to communicate with random strangers through type chat.
Now, if only Anet would make timed jumping puzzles have an easy-mode for us old farts who can’t do mouse-directed movement, but rely on keyboard movement soley.
Please add easy-mode for timed jumping puzzles (you can halved the achievement points for doing it in that mode). The static jumping puzzles I can do taking my time (just broke 4k in achievement points), but there is no hope for the timed ones…sigh.
Extra bounce is awesome. With my 55% crit and Superior sigil of fire I see almost all the time a fire blast per GS throw (if not always within 2 GS throws which makes tagging a lot easier for loot).
Shame on you Anet. Bring previewing back to the way it was before.
The timed jumping puzzles should have a difficulty scale level like the Bell playing one. For us old farts who can do static jumping puzzles it would be nice to have an easy mode where the pads would disappear at a slower rate.
I never got a precursor from the Karka event but not bummed about it. To be honest the legendaries don’t do much for me. I’ll have to admit though the sceptor one looks cool, but a sceptor with a mesmer is not that great.
I just got mine and have notice that now the clones are essentially useless until this is remedied. Also, when are our clones going to get matching off-hand weapons???? These bugs have been here since beta.
My mesmer is always following others in dungeons or fractals or farming or wvw. For pete’s sake we need a speed boost trait.
I luckily got through that path, but to be honest the respawn rate of the mobs is too high. I can handle the 3 but they respawn to quickly that squishies (like my mesmer) are easily overrunned.
This annoying bug drives me crazy. Even as I am dps’ing the Giant in the Town of Naggeling his health bar resets.
There should be no invulnerability at all appearing because you happen to be strategically placed for attack. ANET FIX THIS!
This is similar to the stuck load screens. You need to fix fractals to let people rejoin. Don’t give the excuse that you don’t want people to repair, because what about instant repair canisters, eh. There goes that argument. Your lack of fixing this serious bug is disheartening.
Why can warriors savage leap still cross gaps when other professions blink, teleport, etc. can’t? Try playing the slowest class, mesmer, then complain.
Idiots. Shatter is our only real burst. Several of the other professions have multiple specs to get burst and we have one and you want to nerf it. Why do warriors savage leap cross gaps when our blink doesn’t and now elementalist can’t span gaps with their lightning jump. Well given the bugs we have like clones that don’t really look like us (no off-hand weapon, or that star over my head giving me away) and you ask for a nerf. Such stupidity.
Damn I envy that 25% swiftness my necro has. When I return to my main toon, mesmer, I sigh. Slowest profession in the game unless you waste 6 lame runes or forced to use an off-hand. Either, nerf the passive swiftness of others, or give us a way to have it.
Come on Anet you made scaleable dungeons with fractals. It’s time you do the same with jumping puzzles that are not static but timed.
