If you are in a party (not alone) and during the final boss fight if one of your party is downed, if the NPC rallies that downed member during the cosmic egg drop scene you do not get the exit and are forced to rerun the whole final run over again. This is really annoying considering how much NPC conversation you cannot skip through.
This bug must be fixed.
Hint: All NPC conversation in stories should have a “Skip” button especially on long story run throughs since you require the person to run it twice for achievements (or do away with the locked achievement concept).
The loot system of this game mechanics is great in allowing all participants to get some loot. However, the RNG used is the worst I’ve seen from any MMO. What Anet should do to fix this problem:
Stick with present RNG fixed percentage they use now ….but put in multiplicative factors based upon your character’s experience, magic find (MF), etc.
a) Map completion – 3x the percentage drop
b) Dungeon Master – 2x the percentage drop
c) MF – direct multiplier to the percentage drop
d) Other – PVP completion, achievement accomplishments also apply as factors
So, if a player has 250% MF, Map completion, dungeon master their loot drop percentage would be:
whatever the static percentage for getting that particular loot item from its pool * 2.5 * 3 * 2
This way Anet would encourage players to participate in more aspects of the game. At present, this simple fixed percentage system they use is too-simple minded.
If you have any or all minions up on your necro with the “Flesh of the Master” trait in the Death Magic tree your minions will fade away if you keep your necro moving for around 30 seconds (straight line not circle). Once you swap the “Flesh of the Master” trait out for another trait the minions will stay around no matter how much you move. Found this only happens when the necro is moving, not stationary. This bug was confirmed with another guildie’s necro. It seems to not matter which minion you have up with your necro (the minion will disappear with this trait). So apparently “Flesh of the Master” trait makes the minions temporary if you are on the move!
I foresee a doubling of Mesmer bugs with Anet claiming them as features. Honestly Anet should fire their QA considering some bugs are 2 years old now. Oh wait, my mistake Anet has no QA.
Just speed the auto-attack, it’s the slowest in the game and easy to evade.
I use the Halloween bat sword skin on my Mesmer’s GS. I think it is the best because of the way the Mesmer uses the GS. The bats spin out on auto-attack.
Their architecture allows adding a lot of things as time goes on, but unfortunately the bug fest we get with these updates puts a sad face on players. Anet’s QA is one of the worse.
The mesmer is the jack-of-all-trades (JOAT) of the game. Has other class like skills but is mediocre in their utilization.
I’d like if they just fix all the kitten bugs that cause us to lose valuable dps! I bet they do not consider the bug dps loss when they continue to nerf us left and right. It’s a shame that some bugs have been there since the start of the game. Anet’s QA is really bad!
Try Archeage you can get close to GvG with that!
Wildstar lost a lot of interest because Blizzard didn’t realize that people are tired of over saturated cartoony MMOs. Trion is doing a fairly good job with Archeage and at least because they have a much better response to bugs than Anet. It’s too bad they are hampered by relying on XL-Games though.
Anet does not listen to feedback as much as Trion at least does. I give you evidence of the broken Colossus fractal problem of the disappearing hammer and the myriad of mesmer bugs that continue to plague that class. I just love their response of “it’s too complicated”! If it’s too complicated then either redesign around the cause so it doesn’t happen (like eliminating being able to dodge off with hammer – a simple solution) or get some programmers that know what they are doing. Ever hear of monte-carlo regression tests Anet. If you did that a lot of these new features/bugs wouldn’t be creeping into your patches.
For heaven’s sake fix uneven terrain handling by our combat skills. It’s simple math and how they can’t deal with it is sad.
1) Invulnerability occurs way to often
2) PC actions not working right because of it (mesmer blink, etc.)
In addition, the tenacity of “in-combat” is way too much. Once all conditions are gone and your toon is not hit “in-combat” should be gone.
The fact that we lose 10-15% of our dps capability due to all the bugs. My question to Anet is, "Do they consider that fact when they “balance” the classes? (So far we have seen no evidence of it)
Simple solution, match condition dps to direct dps (up condi dps to 5kdps like direct dps). Presently, condi damage maxes out at 4kdps
I’m going to be moving most of my time to Archeage. GW2 will be played only for dailies, guild missions, and temp content achievements (which can be gotten fairly fast) in the future. The mesmer bug situation is totally unacceptable.
Anet needs to totally rework its code on 3d terrain pathing or implement the mechanics used by warrior savage leap to mesmer illusions. I will admit Anet got the dodge mechanic just right though!
You forgot to mention the removal of loot and XP from the pavilion boss-fest run. One of Anet’s dumbest move made. Come on Archeage, you can’t get here fast enough.
Anet you are losing me. Either up the loot tables and don’t make kitten decisions like your removal of XP and loot from the pavilion, or turning champs into vets. Thank god, Archeage is coming. I look forward to spending my time in that game and only do dailies in GW2. Glad I only wasted 2 days getting my 14 achievements in your latest temp content.
The insta-cast aspect of mantras is great, but the fact they can’t be recharged simultaneously makes mantras mediocre in actual performance at best. If Anet allowed mantras to recharged simultaneously or raised their usage count more people would use them.
It is a well known fact that condition damage only can reach 4k dps with caps while beserker direct damage can reach 5k dps. Anet needs to address this issue. To be honest I prefer more open available damage like in Archeage (can’t wait for release) than GW2.
I’ve noticed that I also have to try more times to access the TP. Seems this feature patch has introduced another new accessibility bug.
I like the bug where opponents that have reflect can generate any number of themselves when they reflect scepter #1 3rd shot multiple times. There is a funny youtube of it by woodenpotatoes (he had over 10 clones of his mage) when he was cooperatively pvp’ing with a mesmer.
I’ll get my housing satisfaction, as well as mounts and gliders satisfaction in Archeage. Anet if you are listening, GW2 unfortunately has turned into an MMO that I only show up now to do dailies and guild missions.
Archeage will own Wildstar. PVPer’s delight to be a pirate :-)
When you have 25 power stacks plus the burning sigil it melts things effectively.
I recognized how it operates, however, if you check you will notice that when you are outside the zone more waypoints in the zone you are going to are now contested when they were not before the megaserver was implemented. This results in more double waypointing to get to the desired location than before. Either Anet needs to lower waypoint cost to make up for this increase in waypointing or fix the problem.
Noticed that in all zones megaserver is applied, more waypoints than before when there was no megaserver are contested. This issue needs to be addressed.
1) Since patch to fix cannoneer, he now doesn’t spawn? In the last 6 times I have been in LA I have not seen the cannoneer boss spawn once.
2) Bumped during Scarlet hologram fight (also since last patch). Several of my guildies and I got Client lost connection during the Scarlet holo fight (7:11:3:191:101).
3) Immediate death upon entering Scarlet holo fight. Spawn on platform in beam without a chance to avoid death. There needs to be a delay or buffering to allow players to spawn on the platform alive.
1. Mesmer only because we have the most bugs of any profession. Many of the bugs have existed since game launch. Over 3/4 of the bugs impact our dps.
FIX the bugs. I do not care about rework, I only would like to have a profession that isn’t so crippled by the bugs.
Wow, no overflow problem anymore for this event on Tarnish Coast. Hardly anyone shows for it given the paltry rewards for the difficulty of the event.
- Get rid of the overflow server implementation (scrap it). Either implement districts like GW1, or have all new massive events as selective instances that rely on grouping by guild.
- All new massive events should be startable from a pre-quest instead of these long wait times.
- FIX the bugs. e.g. Mesmer class has the most bugs of any class (over a dozen and most have existed for over 6 months). This is totally unacceptable. I would forgo the 2 week content update cycle for at least a month in which just the bugs were fixed.
- Update the action/trait descriptions there are still many inconsistencies present in all the classes rendering them confusing.
- (this is in anticipation for what is coming in March). DO NOT hamper zerker spec, but instead fix conditions to better scale in pve vs. pvp. Make pvp skills and traits totally independent from those in pve. Armor and weapons are independent so why aren’t skills and traits? Also fix confusion to work in pve.
This should be an hourly event, the multi-hour timing of it makes this game so boring.
When they are Timed and are more than one hour there is so much waiting in this game it is pretty boring.
There should be no multi-hour timed events. The longest should be hourly.
Interesting look at a high dps guardian build here (pure assassin):
Its long, but interesting how he illustrates that Anet’s descriptions of weapon usages is so off it is laughable. e.g. scepter .25 sec attack is actually not even close due to use animation delay. I wish Anet would fix their action descriptions to be accurate by accounting for use animation delay.
Hmmm, I had 50AR and the random agony was dropping my hp by 1/2 also the agony causes 1/3 reduction in your heal. I know the mechanic, but this is the first time we ever wiped successively after clearing one side.
Getting a lot of lag and client lost connection issues (unlike before, lost client connection while running SE story mode with some friends 5 times).
Wow, you guys crafted 6 armor pieces as once. I’m working on it one at a time just as I need the added AR for higher fractal lvls. But thanks for the warning.
I have only forge 2 ascended armor pieces for added AR (needed for fractal lvl 40+), but in no hurry to craft others. Just work on it a little at a time.
We gave up after the following bug occurred. We were doing a lvl 40 run (discovering that you need 60AR to make it doable) and we had cleared one-side of the 3rd lvl of acolytes guarding the 2 seals when after 2 more attempts to clear the final side, the fractal reset (after we all died) and restored “BOTH” seals (even though we had removed one). This discouraged us from trying anymore that run.
Please fix this bug of having both seals get restored even after you have cleared one seal side.
I have the meteorologicus and am presently working on the minstrel (since I use the focus a lot). I don’t use scepter that much but thought it had the best look out of all the legendaries. As for GS I made an ascended one and used a black lion ticket and got the bat GS. It is awesome because not only you spew bats but your clones do as well. Given the mesmers GS actions the bat sword is the best looking for Mesmer (I’ve gotten a lot of comments from other players who’ve seen it for the first time). GS auto attack spin of the sword spirals the bats out is pretty awesome looking.
I’m at lvl 39 or 40 (in no rush), and I run with 30/20/0/20/0 (zerker). Always go with mender’s purity and unless you taking newbs then go with medic. I use GS & S/F mainly sometimes switching to staff. I use either zerker gear or my toughness gear (certain fractals). Another mesmer (at same lvl) I run with sometimes is pure condition based, so you can run either way. Some fractals I use mantras (stability or condition removal).
I like the fact that the NPC can easily break combat when leashed however our leash for combat is so much longer than theirs. We should have a combat break initiative capability.
Continue bugs of our skills not working as advertised (not even going to mention the latest iWarden bug where it just stands there and does nothing).
1) Illusionary leap/swap doesn’t work on anything that isn’t a flat smooth surface. Illusion appears in front of you waits 2.5 seconds then walks slowly to target when it should just blink to target. Why do warrior leap works on inclines and rough ground while ours doesn’t?
2) Chaos storm no longer grants regen boon since 2 patches ago.
3) Sceptor skills so slow that they are laughable and easy to dodge. Only worthwhile one is confusing images, but 4 sort of negates that.
4) Confusion in PVE is so bad because developers didn’t think NPC combat mechanics thru (slow attack) to enable confusion to have effect.

This is what you call a moron achievement. They should have the wave come all around the worm like the zerker boss in molten facility. But noooooooo, it is a cone type ground attack that doesn’t even look like a wave.
I have cleared several waves but only one counted. This achievement is bugged. Fix it to be a true wave and count all around the worm. What a waste of time.
Thad, level your guild mates! I enjoy running fractals at any level and especially enjoy running with my guild mates who haven’t experienced fractals as much as me. Eventually, they will reach your level and you won’t have to pug the high levels.
GS with Superior Sigil of Fire for AOE if you running zerker build. Staff too slow.
I run zerker all the way. The mobs drop way faster than condition builds in PvE. Pvp you can do condition route, but if you are mainly a pve’r stick with zerker builds now. Unfortunately, the mesmer condition stacking is non-optimal especially compared to a necromancer.
Condition damage is really only for necros. All other classes condition damage is inadequate due to the scaling and lack of stacking the necromancer has. Zerger is the way to go.
Molten Facility has several bugs I noticed from doing it at lvl 31 (it took us about 2 hours):
1) When party wipes respawn from checkpoint sometimes work and sometimes doesn’t (it respawns the party immediately into the fight instead of back up on the ramp). I wait for the drawbridge to go up before I do the retry but then immediately i get yanked down to the arena and the bosses immediately one-shot several party members without a chance. I’m not sure if this is related to the Mossman spawning randomly in the dungeon or not, but this issue NEEDS to be fixed.
2) Condition removals appear not to work adequately. At lvl 31 the flame AOEs cause instant death (within one second no matter what your AR is and even if you hit condition removal – in my case Mantra of Resolve that is supposed to instantly remove 2 conditions). Either tone down the flame AOE damage or allow our condition removals work. I even had condition removal on heal and that did not work.
3) Boss super buff occurs even while damage is continuous on boss. Our party had one person dps one boss while others down the other. Even though I maintained damage on a boss (we swap around which boss I kept damage on), the boss would still get his buff. This is now how I remember the fight went when it was a temp dungeon.
