Why do I have to dps down a giant or dungeon boss for more than 100% of their hp? Several times while dps’ing the opponent their health starts bar starts to restore itself. I know if I stop dps’ing completely, it goes back to full health under 5 seconds.
What needs to be done, is not allow this until they are out of combat for at least 5-10 seconds.
I’ve seen this happen many times while I am dps’ing them and the boss does not have regen capability. This problem needs addressing.
If you fight the 4 veteren oozes in Metrica Province on the quest the precedes the champion ooze one. If you place a feedback bubble on them just before they spawn smaller oozes, a cool thing happens beside seeing the smaller oozes bouncing off the bubble.
The become a Red ooze guild member with their name in party color blue and fight for you against other oozes within their reach. I wish they would follow me around and be my pets :-)
Since the most recent patch I’m averaging the “infamous” loadup screen lockup 10% of the time. This fix should be a high priority to getting fixed.
Just had this happen in spvp. Gee, this kind of thing should have been worked out in beta. The bit with the fractals not letting you rejoin after DC’ing should have been detected during tested. Man, your Q&A is pretty hap-hazard. I sure hope you guys are tracking bugs with something like bugzilla. Where I used to work software would have to work the first time, so we spent a lot of time running monte-carlo and regression testing (please I hope you are doing the same).
I add a sigil to a weapon and I can no longer use the pvp slot in the locker for it.
Hope you guys are using something like purify to catch these lockup conditions.
Since the latest build, about 20% of the time when taking a portal to another city the game locks up. Its bad rolling the dice for simple teleportation. Also, have seen lockups happen when using the fractal portal. Please address these issues.
Wow, now can only get to the character screen and still getting same error code as above. Guess I’ll go do something else for awhile.
Don’t teleport between battlegrounds guaranteed boot from game. Logging error as well with the error codes:

If you have clothing at 400 what you make looks pretty kitten sexy compared to the dungeon armor.
Explain to me why warrior aoe heals are so much better than Mesmer mantra aoe heals?
Mantra solutions:
1) Allow multiple mantra setup casts in parallel (consecutive makes them suck big time on dungeon runs)
2) Extend the range of AOE heal to be 900 (why is it so short for a range dps’er makes no sense)
Several times we have had people get stuck in a tree when they run through as the root wall goes up. This mechanic needs looking at. Suggestion is to disable it when the orbs are grabbed.
I’ve had this happen about once every 10 minutes of play. Character just locks up causing me to re-hit my motion keys.
We always skip the swamp. The fact the tree wall changes during the run of the event makes completing depending on less on skill and luck of the draw. The trap reset is also way too fast.
Each day’s event was started by mail to your logged in character. Did you check it? Sheesh, some people are so stupid. Anyway, I will say the mail should be delivered 15 minutes prior to the event start and not at the start in order to give time for the person to get to the event. My only other complaints were:
1) First day event was a lagfest (appeared to be resolved on the third day of the event)
2) The first days quest chain for the event was buggy (shame on you Anet).
3) Not having the events sync’d between main and overflow servers was also bad. People got lost on event progression when they got disconnected or had to relog.
I enjoyed that last day’s activities. It was tough and there was a lot of griping over vent during its progression, but in the end people felt the reward matched the effort put in.
ArenaNet needs a dungeon saving ability. Also, the lack of waypoint in the fractals makes dying dumb, in that in some fractals no way for group to rez you because of positioning so you have to wait for the whole group to die (plain stupid mechanic). Also, some rezzing bugs in which you can’t continually rez someone has happened too (you have to keep hitting ‘F’). Fractals need waypoints in them period.
My only complaints of the event (I liked it):
1) The first day lag was horrible (they appeared to have resolved it for day 3, my auto-attack hit once every 3 seconds)
2) The buggy quest chain sort of put me off (I did manage to get up to the point of getting the shell, but not the commendations). Leave the precursors to the event in till the last day of the event so people can complete them.
3) When the events are indicated by mail, send the mail out 15 minutes before the event, not at the time the event starts.
Wait forever for whole party to die is stupid in the instance. Put waypts in.

You die and can’t rez until whole party dies is stupid. Fix this issue by having waypt back at start of the event.
I lost my ip during a run and could not rejoin my party in an already running fractal dungeon (unlike the regular dungeons where we can). Is this a bug? How do parties that lose a person or two during a run reform in the fractal dungeon?
You need to address this issue.
My auto-attacks hit once every 3 seconds. SOOOOO much lag with best performance settings. This is really bad. I didn’t realize GW2 was a stop-action game. Serious work needs to be done to fix this.
I just checked our other guildies that haven’t logged in yet and they still have their full count, so I suspect the bug occurs once you log in and play your character.
What is going on here? I had over 2700 before now it is under 1800???? Explain this please.
This drop rate appears to be totally random with a simple low percentage. Twice I got an ecto using basic salvage kit on a level 64 rare. Then when I used black lion salvage kit on level 74 or better rares five times, I got only one ecto.
They should have another class of transmutation zones that allows me to transmute across categories (masterwork with exotic, etc.) of armor/weap.
G is the guild key! Anet needs to fix the fact that you can interact with NPCs or grab planted flag buffs during combat. That just speaks to me as lazy programming. They need to have an auto-disable for interaction during combat.
I’ll admit I’m not much of a pvp’er, but the fact I’ve planted the pole into multiple people and only get 2 badges is disheartening. Badges should be auto-loot.
Excellent video and commentary. I’m more of a pve dungeon runner so I biased my build toward condition damage (I still have a 43% crit). Any thoughts of condition heavy builds in pvp? So far, for me its been semi-disappointing (plus I’m not that good of pvp’er).
and stay away from the Mantras they are a disaster in pve (especially dungeon running).
Speaking of LOS issues, don’t you just love GS#5 inability to be effective on inclines.
I just experimented with mantras the other day and found they essentially suck for pve and dungeon running, for the following reasons:
1) Loss of 1/2 my condition damage, resulting in losing dps in dungeons.
2) Full on mantra spec is counter productive since you cannot prepare the mantras in parallel but consecutively and you cannot cast another spell while prepping a mantra. This really lowers your effectiveness.
3) Restorative mantra AOE range is so limited that you have to be up front with melee which does not work well in dungeons. Also, its 2.5k amount is too meeker, even with the spec for 3 cast given the downtime for the next set.
I like all of these suggestions!
Clock tower example is an extreme (which I promptly realized is impossible to do for me, like Spekk’s lab) since I am unable to manuever with a mouse an am limited to keyboard moving) so I left it within 30 minutes. However, I will debate that the reward for completion of dungeons is definitely underwhelming.
Wish Anet developers would go that extra mile to make their timed puzzles and special events adaptable, that would increase the time per number of times tried. If they did that then even some of us old farts could complete them. But I guess it is a game for the young.
I like the present down leveling because it makes all zones equivalent no matter what your level (and I play a Mesmer). Keep it!
Dungeon drops suck at present and a simple revision of loot drops in dungeons should be as follows:
1) What drops as blues should be greens
2) What drops as greens should be rares or exotics
3) Tokens are dropped per chest in a progressively increasing amount rather than at end of dungeon (this addresses the rip-off feeling of those running the dungeon when their run gets frustrated by a bugged boss before the end, so they get no tokens).
4) No changes to npc drops from kills
5) Bag of gold – that is actually a bag of gold not a few copper
I gave up after 30 minutes. I realized that like Spekk’s lab jumping puzzle it was impossible to do using the keyboard maneuvering only and would be wasting my time. At least I was not stupid enough to waste n-hours on it like a lot of people did.
All puzzles should be doable without mouse turning.

I wish there was a way to designate armor sets for gear swapping.
I just did the Mad King Simon says and looted the chest (receiving the witch’s_hat). I equipped the hat and now all my gear is gone. The witch_hat also substituted clothing for my other armor exotics. I do not see any of my exotics in my inventory. How do I get my exotic gear back?
Agree with all the complaints on this topic. Either up the probability of their gathering or return the karma vendor route.
Mesmer is a long-haul battler. In many of the dungeon boss fights I am the last to go down and usually I can keep the boss(s) busy until my party runs back. We don’t do fantastic dps, but we are a great support class. When pve’ing and taking on mobs, you need to be a good “kiter” to whittle them down. Our only problem is in fast respawn areas where the mob(s) can grow in size it can get out of hand. In WvW, we are situationally good, but there are times when nothing you can do will work (just like other professions).
Best thing I found for pve’ing is condition/crit build using my shatters after the phantasms get their initial attack off.
pvp I’ve been experimenting with large hp and lots of toughness and clone generation and found my survivability goes up, but of course dps is less (one on one I can take just about anything given time)
Deception teleport should match range of blink teleport. Instead it is less than a 1/3.

The problem with F is that until Anet disables picking up banners and NPC greet during combat it is a royal pain in the ….. to loot during combat. I can live with “F” action, but please disable all picking up banners and NPC greets during combat. That would dramatically improve things.
Was surprise when this popped up on my screen. I guess feedback bubble kills do count to bow mastery :-)
It would be nice to allow you to group armor items (and weapons) and use a simple swap action instead of the painfully slow way you have to do it now.
Please add this capability to the game.
Is it a joke. In one of my CM runs, I received 2 gold bags as a drop and was shocked to find a total of 9 copper from 2 gold bags.
Why are they named gold bags when they contain less than 1 g, please explain this to me.
Please add first person perspective. It would solve the camera issues in most cases.
