alot of the intial game breaking bugs are fixed.
orbs have been removed from wvw for now.
plenty of class nerfs have happened.
culling issues have gotten worse than maybe better.
events are still often broken in orr.
weird crafting changes like a less user friendly ui change and longer time to craft the first few in a craft queue(effectively doubles time spent crafting, resulting in using more boosters if you are powering through a craft for the combat levels)
diminishing returns on loot and such went to absolutely bat kitten insane levels before returning to about where it was at headstart maybe- hard to tell, i seem to be getting alot more porous bones than ever before this week after returning to orr to farm for the first time since the DR was supposedly eased.
plenty of zones with only a few real players in them, and no events proccing to level, meaning you have to do 100% of all zones plus craft or wvw to level now.
MOAR jumping puzzles have been added recently.
tehy maybe added paid tournements to spvp, but i can’t be sure sicne they said they had already done that twice so who can say for sure.
continued lack of complete patch notes.
a tp that in the morning says there are 1.2 million candy corn on the market, then in the evening says 4 million.
i think that about covers it.
the original prices of t3 cultural were alot more reasonable.
they were only adjusted in a knee jerk over reaction to the intial surge of twitch.tv/youtuber marathon grinders exploiting them in headstart.
idk what the point of punishing the rest of us like that was.
idk why the arbtrarily high price them either.
the correct generic cross game term for multi group groups is a “raid group” despite the connotatiosn of being related to wow/eq style pve raid dungeons, in actuality those dungeons are so named because they use raid grouping.
a raid group is little more than an organization quality of life tool to reduce time spent juggling groups and on the ui in general.
the advertised motto of gw2’s ui paradigm is supposedly “play the game not the ui” and yet i spend less time playing the game because i must instead fight the ui.
i’ve been asking since beta for simple basic raid group functionality. i’m surprised it has become a more popular suggestion since, and i’m glad that we’re seeing it.
the basic raid group needs the follow for starters:
20 slots
simple raid party frame(the current “simple” party frame would work
same functionality of the current basic grouping in terms of map and markers extended.
possible alternative:
lineage 2 style where groups are formed first, then join a multigroup alliance type deal. it’s been so long i forget the details, but i remember it being a huge leg up from the previous paradigm in l2 where when we were raiding bosses or doing mass pvp and sieges it was simply a lot of individual groups. this might solve the nice to have thing below.
nice to have:
multiple but reasonably limited call target marks- this could be done by setting the player to some function, like target caller 1,2,3,4.
every wvw session my guild does together, we field 15+ people, and have to do several group checks to see if we need to split groups further so every one has a group.
additionally we spend a great deal of time and effort asking where everyone is, simply because we can not see each other on the map.
ofc adding proper basic standard raid group ui functionality to gw2 takes away the edge my guild has in wvw due to our seemingly superior communication and organization, but i’d trade that in a heart beat for the quality of life and lack of constant hassle that the current system provides.
Beautiful how you see people defending night capping, then you look on there signature and they all from servers where this is happening, you know your screwed when they change it…..
Yes WvW is 24/7 AND YES it SHOULD BE !
However as stated before and here is just a example to open your eyes !
500 people Fight 8 Hours and GAIN 5000 Points
30 People Fight 2 Hours and GAIN 10.000 Points
This is currently how its going, 30 people on the right time can UNDO everything the BIGGER part of the server did.
WvW should stay 24/7 YES but the point interval timer should be directly based on the amount of people in the map.
The Current system is just wrong and you can try to defend it, but who are you kidding REALLY ?
and what happens to lower and mid teir underdogs that still manage to compete with larger pop servers in their brackets but always have fewer players on the maps?
learn to meta game bros.
idk why this needs endless threads. use some diplomacy and attract some off local prime time hours guilds to your server.
also to note, wvw falls into what is traditonally classified as “mass pvp” that means zergs are a valid part of it.
if there were no zergs, how would one and his guild obtain the glory of taking down zergs?
and no, one does not need the crutches in certain other games that do not exist out side of those games to take down zergs with smaller numbers.
you just have to be creative, willing to risk stuff, have the spirit of a klingon, and a solid guild that are team players at your back. it also helps to not simply assume you are a good player- in fact it’s best to assume you are bad and the enemy is stronger than you.
why did this need a new thread?
this suggestion by a podcast/youtuber chan that has a poor record in wvw/pvp which is entirely self serving is silly.
if they were as good as they pretended to be, they wouldn’t be suggesting things that anet can change to help them do better, they’d be finding ways with in the current confines of the game to improve their ability.
in the last thread i noted a number of ways competent groups of 5-20 can utilize the swords/etc to their advantage to out wit and out play enemies who stick to large zergs. as well, i noted several reasons why you still need scouts with the swords.
more proof that these guys are not of the caliber of players they present themselves as, and that their opinions and suggestions should be discarded as they are with out merit.
if their show was of the level of quality there woul dbe absolutely zero suggestions of this nature, and instead the show would be a cournacopia of tips on how to improve strats and tactics in yoru group/guild/server and as a player in order to overcome obstacles.
instead, they simply ask devs to hold their hands and make changes to the game to give them what they percieve will improve their chances of winning. this alone destroys all theri credibility in teh role they have presented themselves in, even if not for their track record on teh field.
my guild and i love defending bay. it’s probably our favourite keep to hold.
around 10 of us held bay for literally like 5 hours one night againt 2 zergs of 40~ each from our opponent servers.
it was such an epic series of battles it will remain one of my all time favourite wvw sessions for quite some time.
the stacking turtle strat is easily countered and by far fewer numbers than in teh stack.
gw1 is a floaty click to move affair. then again ti can easily be played one handed and half asleep.
i found it dificult to stay engaged with it for more than a few minutes, even years ago. it definitely felt like, there was a seriously legit reason the devs/publisher felt they could not charge a sub for it.
Frostgorge Sound is the only thing that comes close to an endgame zone and guess what?
I think it’s fun! Not annoying, but fun!
So Anet can do it, have a little more faith.
frost gorge is not a viable alternative to cursed shore, by a long shot.
the event frequency types and density are no where near approaching what cursed shore has.
it’s just the zone you go to level from 70 to 80 when you don’t have guildies on to help you manage in orr farming events for much better exp and loot.
i started a new alt last night, in queensdale which is probably the best chance of finding other players.
i zoomed through the shaemoor area hearts in about 30 minutes, and not a single event procced, because i only saw about 4 other players in teh area.
so after doing human starter zone about 30 times all totalled between betas and retail alts, i am now facing having finished that area with the lowest level yet, and with the largst gap yet.
we gave feedback in beta that the content flow to level/exp ratio was poorly tuned. that trying to force events to be the primary means to level was not sustainable(it didn’t even work well in zones with overflows), and that telling people to do other zones, to do every other zone at every level range, was not only goign to impact replayability, but also was more of an eff you than a solution.
well, here we are 2 months and change into retail, and it seems the onyl viable way to level toons is to do 100% of the hearts plus wvw plus the terrible story that has poor non exp rewards, or dump irl cash into gems to power level via crafting.
it might not be so bad if i hadn’t done most of the content on my first toon, then done much of the rest on my 2nd toon. if the early zones by race were all equal in quality and of interest…
i remember pre launch how they(fans at least, maybe devs too) talked about the entire game was endgame. how at level 80 we’d be spread out across the world because the drops and rewards would be of an appropriate level for our current toon.
what happened to that?
it’s like this.
the talking parts of this video.
“i swung a sword, i swung a sword again, you have to do not fun stuff to get to the fun stuff”
orr isn’t fun, but it’s the only profitable place in teh game to farm.
this game advertised itself as different, then the devs innundated the content with the most extremely over done entertainment cliche ever- zombies.
not only are zombies boring stale and over done to death, these zombies are the all too common “not your typical zombies” zombies that were boring in left 4 dead 1 5 years ago, but they chain cc you, snare you a full minute, chain yank you and kb you, and so on. with the addition of too high spawn rates and density.
and it’s not that it’s hard to deal with them. there’s nothing dificult about orr or the mobs there. it’s that it’s aggravating. it’s annoying. it’s a hassle.
there’s all these great mob types/skins/models in the lore and in the game, but those are so underused.
what we need is a level 80 zone/region that is a viable alternative to cursed shore/orr. becasue FGS is not a viable alternative. this zone should be, needs to be, full of the colourful and varied monsters that make this game actually interesting.
lets get off jumping puzzles and get back to the match
gates of madness is in full force this morning, and AR has the lead on 2nd by less than 1k points, with a slightly beefier share of the pie than BP.
jumping puzzles are a poor use of man power, but they do have some value yes.
i personally think they have no business being in wvw. i’ve said so since the beta in which they were added. i also think this game is a poor place for platforming in general. and that if i wanted to platform, i’d dust off my psp and play some banjo kazooie instead.
they are more of a symptom than a cause though. and they are entirely valid for beign camped, defended, zerged or otherwise pvped over, if that’s something that you and your group want to do.
if your server mates laugh at you or don’t help you with them or gets upset you are diverting precious manpower and time away from more valuable objectives though, then that’s valid too.
there is only one thing that needs to be changed to make taking on larger forces with smaller forces more effective.
and that is increase the attack arc of ranged hard target attacks enough that you can properly and effctively strafe kite(as opposed ot currently you can only strafe ktie for roughly 5s and circle strafe liek it’s 1992 and this is doom 1)
join a guild and run with them and don’t focus on grinding out levels and exp, but rather focus on fighting helping your guild/group/server win battles and capture objective, and the exp will follow.
my social casual guild has had plenty of lowbie alt nights in which were effectiv ein contirbuting to the war effort in a meaningful way. it just takes some ingenuity and creativity.
most of all, don’t do it just for exp. do it for fun and epic battles. if you just focus on exp/levels it will be painful.
alas no, i gave my opinions that were on topic, then you attacked my opinions not on their merit, but with your perception of their logic.
i don’t think wvw needs dungeons, added progression, idnvidual player ladders or ranks, or any of the other hallmarks of the indundadation of what are called wow clones for the past 8 years.
wvw is fresh and innovative, even when it draws on prior games for inspiration. it need not copy those games however, and quite frankly it’s good how it is, and can only be effectively livened up further by players themselves.
devs stepping in with the implied suggestions, would debase the game further than what removal of the orbs and addition of jumping puzzles in beta did already.
you have alot of illogical expectations for someone implying to be logical.
you also aren’t very good at this whole logic thing, try being reasonable instead. and maybe using arguments that are merit based, instead of playing the role of debate moderator as well as debate participant.
also you missed hte point- the game was advertised for years as not having the same type of endless grind as wow/wow clones/other mmo’s. please refer to anet blog post titled “the golden rule” and the anet youtube post “our manifesto”.
also wvw is an arena, it’s just a much larger arena than say lol maps or wow bg’s. it’s still more of an arena than lineage 2’s combat and economic based pvp systems pre f2p for example.
If you give players all carrot and no stick, you will have many less hungry players. When people aren’t hungry, they don’t eat. If they don’t eat, they’re not buying food. If they’re not buying gems, ANet stops making money!
Next, you can’t compare a game of WvW that lasts an entire week to a game of LoL that doesn’t even last 1% as long. WvW is not an e-sport. It’s not fair, it’s not designed to be fair. You said it yourself, if you want fair, play sPvP. If WvW were also just as fair, it would cannibalize players from sPvP. There is plenty of reason to help out the underdog in WvW. There is plenty of reason to give more to do in WvW.
Another logical fallacy is to suggest that if WvW does add some sort of progress then it becomes a WoW clone. That doesn’t even make sense. There is a ton of progression in GW2. That’s the thing that makes you feel like you truly made your character into what it is.
Hard lines are drawn in a sporting arena. In a sandbox, you make your own lines. Personally, I don’t like playing inside the confines of pre-existing norms, and sometimes WvW lets me escape them — only to glue right back into place when needed.
Making the maps bigger, adding more to do, these things expand the arsenal of creativity in WvW. I think many of you would agree. If you didn’t, sPvP would probably satisfy you just fine..
So how about it ANet? Wha’cha got coming for us?
pretending my post has logical fallacies when your post is the opposite of logical is a logical fallacy.
also it’s unreasonable to expect people to be logical.
also logically, you should attempt to explore the full breadth of what is already offered before you start demanding more.
logically, countering arguments with little more than calling them a logical fallcy, with illogical 2ndaries, is illogical, and unreasonable.
http://www.arena.net/blog/the-big-beta-weekend-preview
Players can now take their WvW battle underground in a new “mini dungeon” beneath the central map. This brand-new subterranean level is full of tricks and traps that can be used against enemy players, and is home to the aptly named Dark Room, which players will have to see (or not) to believe.
my guild never used the orbs as an excuse to begin with, so it’s a bit drier i guess because we were winning battles out manned and out orbed before, and knowing we were at a disadavantage and winning or holding out for as long as we did so regularly, made those battles extra special and added an extra epicness factor.
i hope they get returned in a state that is still meaningful and makes them worthy of capture and fighting over. i suspect this will not be the case though, and if they are, then they will go back to being being the primary excuse for losing alongside beign outnumbered, doubel teamed, night capping, population, arrow carts, and so on that has popped up since or was beign whined about en masse before, instead of people trying to find counters to these things.
How is requirement to communicate more holding hands? Could you even give a well laid out thought about what does the sword icons bring into the game, positively? Everyone worth his salt is out there to do PvP so that point is hardly relevant.
you hav eto communicate if the swords on the map are worth engaging, if they are feints, if they are diversionary tactics, if they are something you need to engage right this minute, or if it’s something you can hold back on.
the swords actually increase the need for communication, and add a layer of depth to wvw.
all these threads and podcasts and youtubers and streamers have in commmon is they don’t consider improving their strats or utilizing what the game already offers in their favour, they simply go straight to asking anet to change things in a way they think will make winning easier for them personally, and that’s the hand holding you people are asking for.
less qq more pew pew plox.
So we know ANet is looking to fix culling (player pop-in), and they plan on some super secret fix to alleviate queues (which their lack of new WvW content seems to be fixing for itself), but what actual additions or changes can we expect to WvW?
1) Will we ever get bigger or more WvW maps?
2) Will there be new goals for WvW outside of objective capping?
3) Can we expect a sprawling WvW dungeon?
4) Can we expect more WvW mini-dungeons?
5) Will we see some rule changes or implements that make being the winning team more difficult and the losing team more easily rectified?
6) Will there ever be special WvW abilities associated with character ranks?
7) Will we ever see changes to how players are identified in the field?
8) Will we ever have a WvW player ranking list based on a series of metrics (most healing, most kills, most assists, kill/death ratios, most trebuchet hits, most keeps captured, hero of the day, etc.)?
9) Will you implement other cosmetic, time-saving, or informational advantages to help make WvW profitable for ANet?C’mon ANet, please throw us a bone for what’s to come…. a few bones even!
1)wvw maps are fine at the current size. there needs not be more of them either.
2)the only goal that wvw is lacking now is orbs need to be readded once they are fixed. the orb stats were fine before imho.
3)wvw does not need dungeons. the puzzle dungeons are bad enough as is.
4)see 3
5) pvp matches being won long before the match is over is endemic in esports and games these days. the only games i know of that avoid this are wow arena/bgs and valve online pvp fps’s. it won’t stop gw2 from becoming an esport in spvp or wvw though, for the same reasons it didn’t stop LoL from becoming the most popular esport currently.
6)let’s hope not. lack of endless mudlfation and grinding combat effectivness edges is a primary feature of this game. many of us have invested hundreds into this game because of it. if we wanted endless stat/combat effectiveness progression, we’d go play a wow clone.
7)all we need is guild tags. if you want individual recognition that badly, make a one man guild for when you run in wvw. don’t be surprised if the guild you usually run with gets up set though.
8)wvw does not need a player ladder. it’s a group/guild/server effort, not a individual glory acitvity. it does not belong here, it is not wanted here. go to spvp if you want individual player ladder ranks.
9)all wvw really needs is proper multi group grouping system so when guilds like mine that field 5-15 people in a session get together, we don’t spend time fighting the ui and juggling groups, and instead can focus entirely on having fun and pvping in the classic traditonal mmo pvp setting that wvw offers.
one thing that would nice is if wvw gear was as advertised and not a monuemntal grind to get those stats via wvw participation. it’s completely contrary to their “gold rule” blog from prelaunch, and their “manifesto” video from prelaunch.
i think you guys are missing the point.
to make progress on teh capture bar, there can not be any hostile players or mobs inside the capture zone.
as the OP pointed out, the capture zone was filled with mobs.
it’s not a matter of being able to solo camps or defending camps solo.
if there is even one npc/mob in side the cap point, wether a scout or a dolyak, even if the supervisor is dead, the capture bar does not progress even if you have a hundred players in there.
swords are fine. they help encourage pvp. they add a layer of depth to the game.
you still need scouts, and other means of communication and observation, but the swords are still useful, and removing them will not solve whatever phantom problems you guyhs think there is with them.
niether will removing them help you win matches and battles any more than you are with them.
stop asking anet to hold your hands on every little thing. please, this is not tol borad. the more hands off the devs are with changes to it the better. it’s bad enough you people are emboldened by the orbs removal. now you people ask for every little thing to be changed to hold your hands in ways you think will help you win easier.
WIWith the dominance of range, i’m surprised many people suggest warrior.
warrior is not necessiarily a melee class. it has a number of ranged dps options.
in fact there are no melee or ranged classes in gw2, there are just classes that have ranged and melee options to varying extents*
*i’m aware engi and ele don’t really have fully melee (160-300) range options, but they do have short ranged melee ish options.
warrior outfitted with long bow or rifle or both is very effective in wvw. perhaps one of the best group oriented dps focused classes for wvw there is, depending on your strat, and the spec of the warrior.
yes you can have a completely ranged warrior, and it’s very effective in wvw.
now some might argue that guardian does not have viable ranged skills, bu the guardians in my guild are quite effective with them, and count amongst our best wvw players.
wow. gw2 makes pvp completely optional without even pvp servers to avoid people rolling them and then complaining that pvp happened.
what happens?
apparently on borlis pass people willfully and intentionally go into an area with the sole purpose of being for pvp to pvp over, for pvp rewards, and then complain that pvp happened.
idk what’s more embarrassing here, getting shut down by 5 guys when you have 30, or whining that pvp happened in a pvp map and you got shut down by 5 guys when you had 30.
this is not tol borad. this is wvw.
what you ask for would make this tol borad.
if we wanted tol borad, we would go play wow. but we want wvw so we play gw2.
wvw is meant to be unbalanced and unfair. it is classic traditional pre wow mmo pvp in it’s own box so pve only players need not be impacted.
it seems though, that that doesn’t matter. that people will still complain that it’s just not fair, it’s not fair that pvp happened, and it’s not fair that I didn’t win!
my guild has a well rounded comp imho, and we all enjoy the classes we’ve picked.
i like my mesmer for it’s verasatility i guess(i don’t use portals, and i was kinda dissapointed by stealth) but when it comes to straight up nuking, my signet rifle warrior is da beez kneez.
my wvw captain really enjoys zerg diving with his necro, but says nade engi is the most OP thing he’s ever played, still he can’t stay away from diving into zergs and so mainly goes flamethrower on his necro.
most of my active guildies have at least a couple alts now, and across them all, i think every class is represented and liked by someone in my guild.
all classes have a role to play, and a well rounded comp is going to be a lot more effective than one that is too heavy in one direction.
looks like AR is taking the day off.
GJ on taking the lead from 3rd to 2nd this morning bros!
i read a synopsis of a recent anet/gw2 interview, and it was said something about adding something other than cosmetics to grind out(work towards).
the thing is, many of us have bought this game, spent hundreds of dollars on gems, invested time money and effort into it BECAUSE of no mudflation/gear creep, because of the flat stat grind.
so my suggestion is- i want more skins. i want more variety fo skins. and i want my skins to be reasonably priced.
the only skins i don’t have for my two 80s are t3 cultural, and that’s not happenign because although they are great skins, they are such a poor value for either my time and effort or my cash.
as well there is so little variety of skins in general. the order sets for some armour types look similar to each other, while the few sets that do have variation, many people already wear to stand out, and thus end up not standing out.
as well i can’t change my look without grinding out the gear with stats i want to put the look i want on. once i run out of sets for stats, i’ve run out of options to put skins in to play.
consider not taking the easy route by adding mudflation, and instead, stick to the plan and see it out by adding more skins, more variety of the looks of skins, and better able to show them off instead of the currently destructive short term profit oriented method.
i spent 20$ each on the skins i have on my warrior sets, i’m not going to overwrite them. i don’t have any more stat sets i want/need, so there’s no point to grind out more skins without a better way to show off the skins i might want to grind out in the future.
nothing about orr is hard. it just tends to be annoying/aggravating, and tuned to having exotics or at least yellows at 80 and in a group of at least 2.
even running around solo isn’t bad at all. i can literally mindlessly wander around without too much thought except the one even in malchor’s with the constant KBs from siege weapons.
otherwise i take guildies there when they hit 70 and give the “tour” so they have the waypoints to farm when they hit 80.
anyways, yes orr is annoying
not only do the mob liek to spam Kbs and pulls and minute long snares and long chills and such and have such fast respawn time and density that stopping to try and do map completion by yourself even in full exotics you’ll get a never ending chain of mobs preventing your from finishing stuff liek skill points but…
it’s completely filled with zombies. which by the time you hit 80 you’ve in unundated by since around level 25(at least if you’re human)
in a game that advertises itself as being different.
well having zombies as your focus of your lore and story and gameplay is about as the same old same old as it gets in video games for the past 5 years. zombies are so over done and beaten to death in every game movie book and comic that’s it’s redonculous.
now you may say that “these aren’t your typcial zombies” except zombies that “aren’t your typical zombie” ARE YOUR TYPICAL ZOMBIE.
it’s silly.
so i basically sit in LA gambling for my gold instead of farming orr because i am sick of zombies and there are no viable alternatives to farm in (FGS isn’t a viable alternative by any means). heck i think i’ll just pick up some extra shifts at work so i can buy gems so i can avoid the zombie parts of gw2 altogether.
my guild has 50ish people total on the roster, let than half of that are active and rep the guild.
i see some of the people that are actively playing the game but not repping us in other guilds on teh server, so i guess they just like that guild better than us. or on other servers, which is strange to me, because yeah, they are all on different servers like every other day.
even then, i have nearly equal numbers of repping active players show up for wvw nights than guilds 2-10x our size. i have to wonder what’s going on in those guilds that they can onyl field 20 people with 300-500 members on their rosters when my 50 man total roster guild brings in 15.
anyways, most of the people that are inactive or not repping on our roster either didn’t give us a chance in mumble, weren’t a good fit for us in mumble, or quit the game several weeks ago.
would be nice to have a last date logged in or last date repped indicator, and maybe an officer note.
as well as some other oversights on teh whole guild thing.
i don’t believe killing yaks or sentries or just capping any points gives you points.
the only thing you get points for is the objectives you hold when score is tallied every 15 minutes.
killing yaks is very useful for starving a nearby tower or keep in teh upgrading and siege stages… but it doesn’t go directly to the score board when you kill them. it’s more of an indirect effect that objectives are harder to hold if they are starved for siege there fore easier for your team to take them and there fore potentially deny your enemy the points and gain them for your team instead.
illusions aren’t really pets.
there are other mesmer illusions that spawn at the target like sword 3(?) but it’s a clone.
learn to play issue really. nothing OP about iserker. it offers soemthing slightly different from what other classes offer, which other classes have plenty of different things themselves.
plok’s daily whine/excuse about double teaming doesn’t reflect the thoughts or feels of most of us.
and uh, that whole playing for 2nd joke got played out about 3 weeks ago bros,it’s been mainly you two AR guys talking about 2nd place since. and yes at your suggestion, last week we did in fact play for 2nd. kinda funny how that worked out eh?
you and kodiak can make a new guild. call it 2nd place 4 lyfe.
Funny I have not said anything in this thread. Post another bad vid man.
Great job on the night cap.
this isn’t you?
at least my bad videos aren’t about whining. but if you think my videos are so bad, maybe you can post yours and show us how it’s done?
maybe you can show us how hard done you are by all the double teaming and night capping and zerging?
(edited by dirtyklingon.2918)

AR’s reps seem upset about something
here bros, have a hug.
wanna talk about it?
my social casual pvx guild has no problems defending camps.
idk though, we wvw for the pvp mainly. maybe you are there for some other reason?
do you mean the orbs?
wvw sore board bonus is stuff like + crit gathering chance and + exp and + crafting crit chance.
i actually wear a beard year round
i shave it to a shadow with electric razer every 8 or so weeks. i told a HS buddy that told me his dad died from prostate cancer this month’s beard was dedicated to his dad though.
maybe we can dedicate this week’s match to movember/no shave november? have like a screen shot gallery from all three servers of toons with moustaches and beards or something.
we could probably do up like a tumblr or idk what service would be best to upload screen shots, then me or someone else can compile them into a video.
anyways, i’m acting all soft here, back to sabre rattling.
i heard GoM’s momma so fat that her name is saturn, and god liked her curves so much he put a ring on it.
the bonuses from score affect everything but spvp bro.
sorry for the spam this morning.
i just wanted to add, that this month my gaming videos made this month are dedicated to movember/no shave november to raise awareness for prostate cancer.
i don’t monetize my videos, so ad view revenue of them won’t be directed to prostate cancer charities, unless done so by google or the IP holders of the songs i use.
instead i ask that you make a donation to a prostate cancer charity of your choice, wear a beard or moustache this month, or better yet, spread the word among the men in your life about prostate cancer.
if any other video makers in this week’s match want to join me, in dedicating videos and wearing a beard(or a moustache), you woul dbe more than welcome, and let us know, and your viewers know.
here’s some of the same action from pergonia’s PoV.
he explains the video himself at the beggining of it.
@lanervan
here’s a playlist of 14 videos of my guild fighting out manned and outorbed.

the bottom 2 brackets have some of the best pvp/cloests score boards in teh game right now. main reason we are down so low is because of fair weather wvwers clogging queues during 24hr matches, server drama, and mostly just whining about orbs.
my guild has taken n battles in matches against servers that are much higher ranked now and done quite well…
nevermind that in mid to high brackets it’s all server hopping coat tail riders who want to be carried to score board wins rather than engage in epic theatre level pvp. quite frankly i’d be embarassed not to be in the bottom 2 brackets, right now, not the other way around.
we had around 16 people peak number last night, so pretty good turn out in wvw for a s/c pvx guild with only 50 people total on the roster including people not repping and inactives.
there are 4 scenes here, idk if i’d count the first scene a battle, it was just BPA routing AR out of garrison. middle two first were at astralhome, last fight was at arah’s.
the end of the 2nd actual fight we were getting over ran and mos tof us were dead, but for some reason they were ignoring our survivors on their flank. i made the call to withdraw, but liek true klingon warriors my guys didn’t want to quit the field, they relunctantly agreed and followed me to our port out point.
last fight we were cappign arah’s when we spotted a group of around 5 GoMs(which server we hadn’t seen much/any of thus far), we decided to engage, and they rush into the middle of us, then we saw why when AR zerglings started rendering in front in the middle and behind us suddenly. gg rendering issues amirite?
shout out the signet of buckwild from AR who brought their zerg into our meatgrinder repeatedly through out the night. gg bros.
yeah i always told my own server to stop whining about not having orbs.
guess what?
they stopped whining about them and using them as an excuse as to why we lost and we started doing much better in wvw as a server.
ofc some people now whine about being double teamed instead LOL.
i think denying the wvw puzzle chests from enemies is a valid strat, though maybe not worth the effort.
what makes me lol is alot of the wvw campers think it’s better or more valid or more skillful pvp than the rest of wvw.
as if they totally ignore that people doing the puzzles probably are trying to avoid pvp altogether.
jumping puzzles are a bad fit for every part of this game imho, and putting them in wvw is even worse.
