Why are a lot of gamers unsociable?

well if some content can be soloable, why go through the hassle of trying to find a group to do it, when that time could had been spent getting it done. Unsocial? unlikely.

In life do you ask random people to help pay your mortgage? No you just do it. I will group with people if they ask, but if they just randomly invite me, I will kindly deny there help.

Most players just roll an alt when they hit Orr. That place has got to be the most annoying place ever created.

Legendary Weapons Change

I think there should be some kind of change to acquire a legendary weapon or armor piece. Because right now it is the people who buy game gold from third party sellers who get the legendary stuff. It is human nature. People aim for the easiest way to acquire something that nobody else has, and that revolves around the wallet warriors.

People can deny all they want. Because the list of things needed for a Legendary is Epic and the easiest way to get the stuff is to pay for it with real world money for game gold. Why would I work so hard to farm gold to be able to buy Frosthorne for 350g, when I can just buy 350g with real cash and buy Frosthorne off the TP?

So just like the commander tag, a legendary is from people that bought Game gold with real life cash. Why you think there are so many bots and goldsellers in GW2? well you can thank a lot of your fella players for that.

So a list of achievements and a small amount of gold would be a nice change to get a legendary.

Hair cuts gender change, and race change would be nice have too. Now players have to start from scratch if they want a male or female character in a different race.

What my GM did was create another Guild, placed the info in the message of the day bulletin, and he had a Guild meeting in vent, during peek hours of when players where online. He told the active players to represent the New guild, so he had a ball park on the active players.

Karma for cultural armour.

I think Cultural armors should have a Karma currency on them, and they should also be in the Exotic catagory, and not in the rare one. The armor pieces are are very expensive gold wise, and this just fuels the fire for third party gold sellers. Drop the gold cost, make them a Karma Purchase, and place them in the exotic catagory.

How is the game doing?

The game is doing fine until players get in Orr. Where people stop logging in do to the extreme annoyance of Risen who thrive in Orr.

I feel your pain. I like a challenge in games. But Orr is Down right annoying as hell, how do people enjoy being:
Pulled back
Stunned
Crippled
Slowed
Poisioned
Etc, Etc

Constantly? On top of a Instant Respawn, Highly aggroed Risen NPC’s in an extremly small radius on any part in Orr?

It is a very annoying place, and I know many people that quit GW2 do to just trying to navigate in a small distance anywhere in Orr and shortly being mobed by Risen. Yeah it is the home of the Exotic gear Karma Dealers. So it should be a hard place to explore, but not an annoying place to explore.

Also if there are no players on during times of the day when you think players should be on, you can forget about trying to do anything in Orr, so it basicly is a wasted place, and players avoid it do to the annoyance of the area.

What should be done to fix Orr is make it a little bit more managable to navigate without getting mobed by Highly Aggroed, major damage absorbers Risen who slow, cripple, knock down, pullback, poision you constantly and hit like a truck. Even a well geared warrior will melt fast with three or more Risen pounding on them. The place is insane, and the Risen who Thrive there need a serious NERF BAT.

I should not have to make a huge group just to get the map exploration done, and even something simple as just questing there, YOU HAVE TO BE IN A HUGE GROUP JUST TO DO THE SIMPLEIST OF THINGS. No game is worth that annoyance, and I feel Orr will kill the game for the most average of players. If it hasn’t already.

My suggestions (12 problems or HELLve problems)

Disclaimer: these are what I think are problems in Guid Wars 2. These suggestions are more of a personal opinion. You can agree to disagree.

1)We should not get slowed when in combat. In combat I want to be fast.

2)Revive should not be slowed dramaticly when in combat. Especially if you are Master healer in the Guardian trait. Make us healer Guardians an important aspect to the guild, Squad, group, etc.(Need MOAR group healing skills if in this build trait)

3) EVERY single NPC Beastie SHOULD NOT have a knockdown, slowed, etc skill. If I get knocked down I do not want it to take forever to get up.(not relating to fight to survive)

4)It takes to many crafting mats to make one mat.

5)Waypoints should not cost so much, this just fuels the gold farmers. With all the rare drop rates going on etc. Better yet, we should not have to pay for a waypoint if it is already unlocked. There are to many gold sinks in game already.

6)I want my weapon to do the damage the weapon displays, at that level of the weapon vs NPC’s on the same level.
Example:
If I am using a level 70 sword that displays 350-700 I want my sword to hit a level 70 NPC for 350-700 damage on average. NOT 175-225.

7)Skill cool downs take TO long to recharge, especially when we are only allowed to use a certian number of skills, which I did notice seem slower to recharge when in combat. When in combat! Our skills we need to use to kill said NPC’s/players are slow at recharging when in combat? Makes no sence.

8)I feel it should not take 4 items to make 1 item at the mystic forge. 2 tops should be good.

9)Risen Damage and absorption should be toned down some, especially being a High aggro NPC.

10)To many reskins of spiders, drakes, and skales. Give me something different to kill then spiders, drakes, and skales. As I level from 2 to 80.

11)Where is the Gear, armor Preview to buy at the Trading Post. I atleast want to know what I am buying and how it looks on my toon before I buy the kitten thing in the first place.

12)To many high aggro mobs spread out in 1 small area. This reminds me of Rift, until the devs toned the mob count down some, because it was/is a problem.

I don't understand why my damage isn't in line with others. Help!?

Just give me a weapon that does the damage it displays of that level. For example: a weapon that displays 950-1100 should do just that, instead it will mostly do a lot less, 100-450 if that. Why give a display of damage if the weapon isn’t doing what it shows. Sure a crit hit may exceed the damage displayed, but Crit hitting is not constant, it will happen once in awhile.

Levelling through crafting

Just pay for mats like everybody else does, because we ALL know it is pretty ridiculous, that it takes MANY things to make 1 thing when trying to level crafting, and add that to some of the ridiculous drop rates, Crafting is a waste of time. I am very disappointed with the crafting system in GW2.

doest make any sense! lengendary dagger are much higher than others! mcuh higher

The bottom line is the drop rates on the rare ingredients, should not be 1 out of 999999999 to aquire, but they are. Solution: switch the rare ingredient with the vendor trash loot from Vets or champion bosses. No Vet or champ should ever drop vendor trash, period but most do.

Make events more rewarding

I agree on the majority of the post. What gets me is the events pop up often, and sometimes pop up constantly, even when there are very few people on any giving map, and when you do kill that vet or champion, they mostly reward vendor trash, and also, if said person on the map did the event once, that said person should not have to do it again.

So many times I complete an event, and just by wandering in the direction of where the event took place the first time it gets triggered, again, and again, and rarely ever see another player in the general area. I am sorry to say, constant events killed Rift, and I would rather not see the same demise in GW2, and it is not looking good so far.

Why is GW2 combat sooooo BORING???

your nuts! gw2 combat is the most engaging dynamic combat ive ever seen in an mmo!

I don’t think so at all. Most players with a greatsword, have all the same skills to use as the next player, pending on Class.

IE. ALL Greatsword Guardians, have the same skills to use as the next Greatsword Guardians. The combat is very stale, and the cooldowns on skills is down right Ridiculous, and regenerate ALOT slower when in combat. Tera’s combat is a lot nicer IMO.

But what is more ridiculous then the skills per weapon is EVERY SINGLE NPC BEASTIE SHOULD NOT HAVE A: Knock down, stun, crippled, slow, dazed, bleed. etc, skill. You can easily get stun locked from NPC’s and die very fast do to these insane skills they have. * Cough * Level 70ish 80 Risen Cough Cough.
