Last time I bought gems was 35$ dollars worth. or 2800 gems gave me 15g. I know that is an awful low amount of gold vs gems. The payout to me is pretty dam low. It needs to get changed.
I never thought it was a problem. If I have a stack of 20 things. I right click the stack and hit sell at tradeing post. I never sold anything by seperating 20 to 1 with alt drag, and sell one at a time. Maybe I should start to break stacks down and sell 1 Piece from the stack seperately.
They are trying to balance things out to avoid every possible situation that makes gold quicker than average, so after months of stats research and fixes, everything will give an average income result compared to the time spent and difficulty.
Result: Less specific places to get better results, more content used for the end-game, obviously gear treadmill lovers with the dedication to find the most efficient spot will get somewhat bored when they can less and less advantages for the mechanics studies
After all, this is a game with different interests.
Seriously as long as there a gold sellers and people that buy from them. Gw2 will never be balanced out. They need to stop nerfing Shiat. Is aNet that blind and can not see that nerfing Shiat is the way to: “Balance Shiat out”?
Agree..I have no Idea why Plinx did get nerfed in the first place, not only did he get nerfed, but the devs added Firestorm to the area he roams at first. Huh? Why nerf something then add an anoyance on top of that?
Anet have made some bad choices lately. This is not one of them (imo).

You will love Skyrim. If you get bored with the game, which will happen around a week or two, you can got to the Nexus Mod Manager website, and find thousands of mods that people create themselves to make Skyrim a better game. It is all about the mods.

that looks like the PVP set. But it still is the long coat combo. The major difference for the Female humen medium armor is the Duelist set, but it is only level 78 gear.
Your claims have nothing to do with FoTM, people in general are idiots. That’s why I could never be bothered to play most games that require team work. You can go play LoL where there is no grind at all and people will cuss you out simply because you don’t go in the lane they want you to.
The only gripe I have are people who constanly spam you to join a group, Like they did not get the hint the first time you denied the invite. Not that I am against grouping, what I am against is random Invites from players who I do not have an aquatance to at all with. I don’t even know the player. When did asking someone first to join a group go out the window. Stop spaming an invite on me.
If you want a group just ask players, instead of demanding them. Spaming LFG over and over is demanding IMO. Perfect example was me when fractals first came out. All this spam going on in chat, and when you get to the asura gate for the dungeon, you see all these people just standing around.
I asked people useing the say command. I said I will run the dungeon for those that want in. I am inviting random players who wants in. You will be surprised how fast you get a group. The problem with players is they do not want to lead the group, they rather be the wall flower.
Can we trade families for a while lol. My ole lady thinks playing games is nothing but a huge waste of time and effort, and money. You should be greatful that all of you guys can play a game togeather. With out no one constanly bretheing down your neck.
The thing is, no matter what online game you play there will always be somebody better then you, and if you do not grind fractals every day for hours a day you will fall more and more behind. Maybe switch your goals around. (Leaving trying another game) out of it:
If you want an exotic piece, aim for it.
If you want to raise crafting go for it.
Maybe swap out traits and try different builds.
Or look at acheivements an try to complete some as a family.
Or you can try out Mystic Weapons, your nephew will love them if he is into the look factor. You craft them.
Bottom line is as everyday goes by, the further you will fall further and further behind the gear treadmill. As long as you are comfortable with not constantly competing with others to be the first one to have ascended gear or a legendary, then you will be ok. because:
Someone will always be better then you in any online game no matter what.
There is already Guild Armors, Guild weapons, and Guild banners. And you want capes or tabards on top of what is giving already?
Honestly I do not see any purpose whatsoever of RP, period. I guess you have to be a certain breed of person to love RP’n so much. I will not be racist on those that RP on any of my servers. If you enjoy it then that is your business not mine. I play games for timesinking, and get my head out of the clouds with real live problems. It is my theropy.
I do think we should have some type of Roleplaying servers for those that want them, but, I am sure people will complain do to them rather having more servers to play on, instead of the wasted cash spent by the company on Roleplaying servers. Roleplayers are not the majority of the gaming community, Most are PVE players, or PVP players.
RNG was old 20 years ago, now its ancient. But thats why there are other, more surer ways of obtaining gear in GW2.

Ascended gear isnt finished being implemented, so Im trying to ignore its existence until it is as currently I see no point in farming Fractals 100 times just so I can… farm Fractals some more.
But now you fall further and further behind the gear treadmill if you do not farm Fractal’s. It has only been a little over a week since the fractal go implemented and I see more an more spaming in chat. LFG level 15 Fractal. Buy the time you get to fractal people will probaly be spamming level 55 fractal lfg, and you still did not do level 1 fractal yet.

Most of us are not made of gold. Just because you buy from a third party seller doesn’t mean we all do. I am not talking about the gem vs Gold store, because the Gems are not worth the little bit of gold you get back, from buying a lot of gems.
I know I bought gems and traded for gold, the trade out is far to low on gold vs the amount of gems you bought most people do not know this because they got their huge amounts of gold from a seller, right off the bat.
So buying out, say 200-350+ per, worth in gold and there is only 20 available of 1 type of precursor you want, that comes to 4000 gold-7000 gold. The 4000-7000 gold looks like a gold sellers amount.
So basicly in order to get the Legendary faster you HAVE TO BUY FROM A GOLD SELLER. And people wonder why the TP prices of items are so high do to other players buying from gold sellers, and if you want to adjust the market you have to buy from a gold seller when it was the gold sellers/buyers that messed the market up in the first place.
So the option of buying out a certain product in the market, and udercutting to bring the price of things down is out of the question for the players that earn gold legitly.
MF IS A GIMICK< IT HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH BETTER LOOT. I fail to relize how people can even fathum that you HAVE TO HAVE MF ON TO GET ANYTHING GOOD.
I do not have any MF BS bonus’s on any of my gear. Stats are more important to me then MF. Through game chat I found out a few other players had nothing but MF gear and MF bonus’s farming the same things I was, and I managed two rares on a drop, and they get blues and greens. I know they got blues and green’s because they where biatching about it.
It is all based on the RNG. MF is just a tool used by the devs for coin sinking. The whole game is designed around coin sinking, why in the heck MF gear is on its own plain, and there should be no reason NOT to get better loots, just by wearing it? To beat the RNG? No, because if it was to beat the RNG then why does ALL gear not come with the MF bonus by default? And why should the game even have a RNG sytem in the first place.
I agree they are two short. They say go in and tell us where is it happening at..Ok Err. It is happening all overTyria. But not all mobs only the annoying ones, the ones that seem to take longer to kill them, At every zone. Now I am not gonna break down each zone and each area. They(developers) should just go in their files and just change the numbers themselves, they(developers) are the ones that designed it. Here is the list of monsters I think respawn two fast:(I played every zone several times so this is my take)

It’s funny how this place already became a desolate waste of 1-2 players running around for ori or chests.
1, The DE’s aren’t good. They are either too hard(for how many players actually PLAY there) or too boring.
2. Farming, for just about anything, is way too hard, time consuming and not rewarding. Literally every enemy needs a plan of action unlike in orr, sure this might make it more rewarding if it actually were, well, rewarding – you might get drops on 2/10 enemies. And there aren’t all that many resourses to begin with, just a few good ori nodes and couple passion fruit bushes.
Now it’s not all BAD, the biggest reason I dislike how un-rewarding it is, is because it looks freaking amazing. I would love to farm there just because of the graphics and change of atmosphere from cold and empty frostgorge or depressive orr, but due all the problems listed above, this is just not going to happen.
A lost oppoturnity, I was starting to like the place when the event was going on..
I think Southson cove needs less Vets that will destroy you 1v1. More waypoints, and better drops.
Now Orr is also a terible, terible place. The only difference between Orr and the Cove are Undead, and Crabs, But in Orr although the drops can be just as bad as the Cove, but not as bad. You will get more trash off the risen then you would with the crabs.
Most of the time the Youg Karka do not drop anything at all, and in Orr atleast you have a chance of jumping in on a Group that is already Farming the zone. Which make Orr less annoying.
So in the cove you barely see another player running around, and if there are players they are congrigating at the jump puzzle. While the few events are going off, no one is willing to help.
In Orr there is always a group doing the events, and you get more trash off the Risen then the crabs, so something is better then nothing.
Agree I hate, Hate, hate this RNG system. I was so tired of it, I tried to look for away around it from the mystic forge.(which is impossible but figured I give it a shot and see) It takes 4 items to make one, which is already annoying at most.
I was aiming for an exotic sword so what I did was buy four Rare swords with different stats on each. In hopes to throw them in the Mystic Toilet and hope to get 1 Exotic back. Well one of the rare swords was a Krait sword. I toss the 4 in and crossed my fingers to maybe get an exotic. Well what I got back was a RARE KRAIT SWORD BACK! I frikking got the same dam sword back that I used in the mystic toilet in hopes to not get it back?
Now I have a rare sword that I will never use. I might just sell it back to the TP or wait until I have some coin (yep buying the four rare swords broke me) and buy a master kit to rip it appart for the Rune, and etco.
What a BS sytem this game has.
I think it was done this way on purpose, so people will get. Cultural Armor, Dungeon Gear, and or Exotics. Do to the unique way they look. Have you seen the Thief Gear yet? From 20 level Al————>ll the way to 80. It is the long coat combo, and it all looks the same.

I would like to see even more Karma in that jug then what they give. Because let me tell you something, at 80 Karma is a precious, precious thing, you will need every single bit of it, and at 80 you burn through it pretty fast. So the more you have, the way better off you will be later down the road.
I think mats should get lowered drasticly. There is WAY to many things needed to make ONE SIMPLE THING. You can only buy100 per of whatever mats, and it use to be 1000 per on the TP. Why did it get changed from 1000 to 100 is beyond me, and when you get that 100, you can only make 50 of the next thing, Why not just let us use 100 to make 100? I think I seen at one time 75 things to make 1….HUh?? Why SOOOOOOOOOO many mats to make 1?
I thought the game was not suppose to be a grind? Just increasing a craft is a major grind, and expensive. There is no excuse why we have to have SO many mats just to make 1 thing. CRAFTING NEEDS SOME SERIOUS LOOKING INTO. It is just ridiculous on how it is now.

not imbalanced because you will need every sinlgle bit of that Karma. You are getting something good, why complain? We did not have jugs at first, they seem to have pop up after the Halloween Event.
I have one level 80 sitting 2 Exotic Pieces short to be in full Extoic and 37.000 Karma under his belt. Guess what? 37.000 is not enough for 1 piece. So just be happy you are getting the Extra Karma.
-Will drop rates get increased in PVE. To drop more coin and better loot then trash?
-Will PVE NPC seiege equipment, and AoE skills be looked into. Right now the targeting is off and when I am not in the red circle I still get hit hard like I was?
-Will PVE mobs ever stop going invulnerable for them to wander off to regen full health to turn around and re-attack you?
-Will the laundry list of coin, mats, and karma be reduced for legendaries?
-Will the Relentless snares ever get toned down?
-Will there be other ways to obtain Ascended gear through PVE only?
-If so will it be less grindy?
-Will there be easier ways to get ledgendary components beside the overpriced TP?
-Will dailies award more Karma rewards? Right now a gold medal for an event to succeed is only 378 Karma. That seems a little to much on the low side compaired to all the Karma vendors in game + Gear+Mats+Recipes and the big one Legendaries.
-Will Cultural gear give a Karma Price as well as the coin Price? Right now people that earn gold legitly through the TP, drops, hearts, and event awards only, the Cultural Price’s are a bit on the high side.
-Will waypoint costs be lowered?
-Will it take less of one thing to make another thing in crafting?
-Will there be a lesser grind then there is ever again?
-Will aNet stop telling us lies?(Manifesto)
-Will there be less invisible NPC’s and players when in a large group?
-What is going on with all the botters and Gold Sellers still in game?
-Will there be no more of whoever tags a mob first gets better loots?
For jewelers- and slotting-Will there be more gems to drop from specific nodes?
-Will there ever be more Rare, and Exotic drops?

LMAO no they are not. I get a better chance of getting a Rare, heck even an exotic over some random mob that is not from Orr or the Cove. with a higher pecentage of a solo fight and still being the one to walk away.
the relentless snares and high agro of Risen ontop of the mob density is more of annoyance then hard.
Then the Karka and all the other stuff that hit like a truck in the cove, with even more of a vet pressence.
Both these place’s in my experience drop far to much junk then anything at all. Why the heck would I even farm there?

is so true. sadly I was not one of the lucky ones.
I played Fractals once, when it came out for the first time, and the group disaband at the wisps. So I never seen all of 1. LFG was out of the question. I spammed it in Lions Arch for close to an hour, and couldn’t get in a group doing level 1. People where on level 2 by now. With each minute that turned into days after, I was falling further behind the gear treadmill.
My first 80 is still missing his Helm, and Exotic gloves, with only 37.000 Karma to spend under his belt. The other two 80’s I have only have two exotic pieces each. So now I am faced with choices of the neverending grind:
1)Do I grind the Karma needed for the last two pieces of Exotic Gear on my first 80?
2)Do I aim to grind more karma for my other 80’s to get more pieces of exotics?
3)Do I save the Karma for the legendary weapons?(I think it is 500.000 Karma points per weapon)
4)Do I start an alt to help with gathering low level mats for my 80’s to use to increase weaponsmith.
5)Do I halt all Karma, mats and exotic grind for my 80’s to start grinding Acsended Gear for my first 80?
Each day goes by and I just fall further, and further behind the gear treadmill. I see people in LA spaming level 11 factals already, you think they would ever do level 1 again? I doubt it.
So between the event that ruffled a lot of feathers on people that DID NOT GET A PRECURSOR DROP. To the content locust, To the Mats, gold and Karma grind for a Legendary, to the Exotic Karma grind, and now the Acsended gear treadmill, Is why I log less. It is what it is though.
Well as I see it. The devs wanted a source of income, besides the base price, so they come up with this bright idea to create a tool to give them the income they want, without paying a sub fee. So they make a gem store to be able to trade gold for gems.
Which then allows them to flucuate the price of in game things to there liking. Based on the payout of gems vs Gold. This will guarntee them some type of income. Then a player comes in and see’s the Gem vs Gold payout is a bit on the low end compaired to the prices listed on things in game, then before you know it, here come the gold sellers that offer more gold then what the prices show from the gem store.
If it is that easy to accumulate your gold do to you having the bigger wallet then what choice are you gonna take? The easiest way possible, because humans want everything the easiest way. Look at all the little things in life that we spend billions and billions of dollars on, to make our lives easier.
Then a player comes in, see’s the shopping list of all the mats for a legendary and all the gold and time required just to get one. They will take the easiest route and fastest way to acquire a legendary weapon. IE. buy gold off sellers, to help get the mats faster. While I’m at it my’s well buy more gold to buy a precursor off the TP. That will save me even more time. Ohh look at my new Legendary it only took me a few weeks to get. I din’t waste any Karma on exotics so I just about got the Karma cost covered.
I have three 80’s and one half way to 80, not because I chosed to, because when I made the level cap with my first character I was nowhere close to all the mats needed for a legendary. Two more 80’s later the only thing I had 250 or more mats in my collection bank where copper ore, Iron ore, soft wood, tiny scales, tiny totems, and the lowest venom. Most of the other stuff was close to 100. Yes 250 is the cap in the collections bank.
I doubt it. If it goes by gw1 the next event will be Christmas
Your post has valuable points in it I do agree. But I think the problem is the Gem vs Gold Ratio in the store. The gold payout is so low from what the price of gems go for, compaired to the cost of special items. like recipes and such.
I think the real reason to get legendaries and those that have one most likely did not get them legitly do to the shopping list of Mats – Gold cost – Karma points – Skill points – 400 in Weaponsmith – Recipes.
So as it stands, based on the drop rate of the mats is so low, and it takes so many things to make one thing in crafting, it will take a long time to get all the stuff needed just for a legendary. The only reason why people seem to have a legendary is do to buying game gold from a third party seller. I guarntee they bought the gold to increase all above faster.
So if you want a legendary or ascended gear your only option is to buy from third party gold sellers? Kinda piss poor game design if you ask me. People with the bigger wallets get the best things.

the WvW jump puzzles should be an instance with in an instance. kinda like how the clock tower was done. As my own preferance, I do not have the paitence for any jumping puzzle, I do not like them and I feel they should not be in game at all. But a lot of people love them. So I think the jumping puzzles should be in a seperate instance that the only entrance would be on the WvW map. or better yet.
If you explore Lions Arch you will come to an area that has 5 non working asura gates. Infact there is a Point of Intrest marker there(Poi) why not open these gates for the WvW jump puzzles?

So no offence it is peoples own faught that rushed through WoW’s new content and all of a suden are bored with WoW an now want an alternative. So these players figure if we piss and moan about what GW2 should have enough then the devs will add all this WoW crap to GW2.

It’s been brought up before, and I think its right to bring it up again.
With the coming of the new Ascended gear, that has a real effect on how a player performs in end gae content, Guild Wars 2 needs the ability to inspect other players gear added sorely.
Players will want to know if a player they are adding to thier team is equipped well enough for the run planned through FotM. It will avoid situations where players mislead and waste people’s time. A inspect option will make group forming much smoother and better all around!
With Ascended gear being a requirement for deep runs into the FotM for ELITE rewards, an inspect function is a necessity to ensure you are playing with Correctly equipped teamates.
Do me a favor and look at the forums you are in once more. There is a huge symbol in the top left corner of each forum page. See it..look again..See it. What does it show. Alrighty. This is not WoW. WoW has inspection, and the only thing inspection does is fuel Elilist Jerks. GW2 IS NOT WoW. We already got the gear grind thanks to elilist jerks being the only SMALL minorty aNet, for some reason decided to listen to.

Ever start attacking something and the target is invulnerable. until you get right on top of the target to get out of invulnerable? Or better yet while attacking the target and it is almost dead will automatically go invulnerable regen full health then start attacking you again? Somethings messed up with the auto targeting system.
But that is not the auto targeting well maybe it is but there is no proof that it is because of the auto targeting. Although this aspect does need to be fixed, I have been fighting a Vet Mob and almost had them dead and bam immune and full health then I died, when I could have lived the first time.
It does need to be fixed I agree but just not sure that it is because of the auto targeting, unless someone has undeniable proof that it is.

The only other option would be pathing. There is someone or a few of “someones” that program all NPC’s to path ingame. This person or group of people, is all the do is set paths of all the NPC’s in game, and give them waypoints, and interactions, that us as the players do not see.
This explains some situations when you, as the player, are attacking something on a cliff, hill, etc. The NPC will be invulerable do to it can not find a path to you. But it does not explain when attacking you they all of a sudden stop when almost dead to regenerate health to just turn around and start attacking you again.
agree the taxes are a bit high, and I think it is done on purpose on aNets part, because they are depending on the gem store to bring in the extra cash. Why you think there is an option to trade gems for gold. Also explains a lot of gold prices being high on recipes and Cultural Gear. And coin loot is on the low end. They want people to buy gems to trade for gold in their store.
I like the Idea of dye-able weapons
So do I, but then the dye drops need to be raised a lot more then they are. I played one day for 10 hours on the weekend and I only got 1 dye drop, so it is obviously on the 0.01% ratio. We use to get drops like crazy, and I dunno something changed along the lines for some reason.
Definitely had drifter’s above mentioned problem myself, in addition to lag causing my character to attack additional times (not just once) after the targeted enemy was dead and lying on the ground, thus the attack went to the next mob behind it and I had something else to kill.
Nice to see someone else with this on going problem. I would blame lag but I run GW2 in and around 57-65 fps with max settings, and if there is alot of spells going off at once I drop to 35-40 fps which is not to bad. Lag usualy happens at 30 fps and below. So when I am 1v1 on a mob there is no excuse for my target to autochange from what I am already locked on to, to some other target off in the distance. I blame the auto target design. Not lag.

no that is giving to the mesmer already. LMAO these squishy characters should not have any reason whatsoever to go into melee range at all. This should had been a thief build instead.
This is a problem because, depending on certain situations at hand, judgeing your range distance can be relentless at times. depending on the action going on on screen and terrain.
I rather see target adjusting to be less annoying. Meaning how come the auto target goes off in the distance and targets another foe that you thought was out of your range attack, and pulls it into you, after you where locked on the other target that was in front of you beating on you?
So many times I would be attacking the foe that is right in my face standing on my toes. Then for some reason my attack will go past the target that I am suppose to be attacking, and it pulls another one in.WTF is this shiat?

or have 2 slots maybe? one for infusion and one for sigil/rune

Honestly , even if just for fractals , i think there should be one , finding people for one specific level is a bit bothersome.
agree there are always them players that fly through dungeons as fast as the can(Content Locust) and will most likely refuse to run, say level 1 dificulty setting again.
I think we should get a LFG system and am able to set the dificulty of what you want. You would of course have to be the leader of the group to be allow to set the difficulty to what you want, also allow other players to adjust the difficulty to what they want to join.
so the text will look something like this:
Guardian lvl 80 1 Fractal group leader
Elementilist 80 1 wants to join level 1 fractal
Anyone can be the leader as long as the player was the first person to enter in the LFG system. The first player will auto lock the level dificulty out so no other player in their group can freely change it at will. The auto lock will take effect when the group loads into the instance.
Then once 1 is done and the level 80 guardian wants to go to 2 then he will have to leave the instance and pick 2 as long there is just one open slot left. if there isn’t then he has the choice to leave group and join on someone else’s 2 group.
But with an open slot left, that lvl 80 Guardian will be group leader again. If there is no open slot then the Guardian will be auto queued to join a level 2 fractal, or any other dificulty level. It would look something like this:
Leave Instance:
LFG Fractal of the Mists:
Warrior lvl 80 2 group leader
Guardian lvl 80 2 wants to join 2 Fractal
Mesmer lvl 80 2 wants to join 2 fractal
and so on, and so fourth.
you do realize that if you do not like the helm or shoulders, you can hide them. You still keep whatever stats are on them, you and other players just do not see them. That is what the little check box is for. Check it to hide it.

I kinda agree with OP – except we should be able to hire henchmen to fill out our group like in GW1 instead of soloing.
I would love to see highered henchmen that scale what your level is at the time. Not like GW1 when you had to level them.
But, please, please, under any circumstances. Please do not make them like ALL the friendly guards in GW2, THE GUARDS ARE WAY TO WEAK AND DIE WAY TO FAST NO MATTER WHAT LEVEL ZONE YOU ARE IN. I beg you do not make the henchmen cookie cutter guards, ALL guards fail at any type of combat in this game.

In the MMO world the devs play by ear depended on rating. If it is rated T then it has to be practical armor, but still show that hourglass siloette of the female figure presented in the armor. Then when you go to rated M then you got Tera armor on the females. I also recall WoW, back in the day had to change a female plate skin.
Do to the rating of the game. The players called it the battle thong, and it was always seen on the female Blood elves. TBH I rather see that hour glass siloette present on the female characters. In a T rated game but nothing out of the ordinary. If not then you got Rift female armor, which is boreing looking, and it matches what the dude characters look like.
So many creatures AoE is off. I should not get knock down when I am an arms length behind them when their AoE is cast directly to their front. Many times I been outside of the red circles and still get hit as hard as I would if I was standing in the middle of the red circles. (Mind you no Lag was present I run the game at 57-65 fps)
And it wasn’t splash damage. I can see where the progectile landed, and if it was splash I should not taken the full blunt of the impact like it was a direct hit on me.
Why have the red circles on the ground from some NPC’s Seige? (Cantaur comes to mind here) I thought them circles where there to let us know to move OUT OF THE WAY, not move out of that circle and still get hit like I was standing in the circle. It’s something to work for. If you find it bland, don’t buy it. If you’re doing it for the achievement, then prepare to save money. It’s not hard to make gold to begin with.
These are skins. You don’t buy them for stats. So no, its fine that they’re rare. I have 2 chest pieces of t3 and I’m already back up to 35 gold.
Also, I should point out that full sets don’t always even look great. Mix and match pieces that you like to save yourself some coin.

well most of it earn it legitly. Legitly gold IS hard to come by. We all can not blow real life money on gems and cash in for gold. Besides I heard the gem vs gold payoff is a pretty low in comparison to the cost of Real life cash you use. Last I heard it was 35$ give 15 gold. That is a pretty dang low amount of gold for 35$.
Also there are a few handful of people that DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES BUY GOLD FROM SELLERS. There are already tomany people buying gold from these sellers we do not need more.
So yeah the stuff is to expensive in game.
I don’t see your point. You already can sort of officially buy gold by buying gems, then trading for gold.
this all looks good on paper, but have you ever trade gems for gold? The ratio of gold is a bit low for the price of gems. Probaly why the botters and sellers are still in game. Players get more gold worth for their money.
