Anyone want a 15v15 GvG this week?

The last guild GH got was FG and i believe they were on the server when we last fought AG. Actually our queues have been very mild compared to what we had a month or so ago. Although i imagine the league will bring them back.

Who are we?

RAGE is a WvW guild with a strong focus on group based PvP combat. We run nightly raids from 7:00-10pm UK time during which we seek out and engage enemy zergs and guild groups. Our goal is to be one of the most effective PvP guilds in the EU WvW ladder whilst maintaining a fun, friendly, and drama free environment.

What we offer?

1. Daily WvW raids.
2. Highly active roster.
3. Regular guild missions.
4. Active guild forums.
5. Regular small party roaming teams.

RAGE Raids.

Raids are the most important event within RAGE. For three hours each night we get to focus on what we do best, fighting! We go where the action is and make ourselves available to commanders as a mobile fighting force that can be called on to destroy enemy groups. Our raids allow us to practice and experiment with different ideas so that we can continually improve and test ourselves.

Who we’re looking for.

We’re looking for players with a mature attitude, no corpse jumping, no kittening at commanders or other players, and no trolling in map chat, it reflects badly on the guild and damages our reputation. Be nice and keen to improve and you’ll fit in great.

Requirements.

1. High skill level and strong understanding of your class. We expect our members to be good PvP players who bring something valuable to the team.
2. Be open to criticism and suggestions. We want the group to perform at its best and that may require you to change your build or play style to suit the raid. Ego needs to take a back seat, your build may be great for 1v1 but that’s rarely what we need in raids or GvGs and if your not wiling to change then we don’t have room for you.
3. Gold for raiding gear. New members can expect to pay around 20-30g to meet all the weapon/gear/stats requirements for our raids.
4. Voice comms during raids. Communication is key, we expect you to keep up and be aware of what’s going on around us and the only way to do that successfully is to have you on Teamspeak and receiving updates in real time.
5. A powerful PC. If your PC grinds to a halt in zerg fights then you’ll be unable to keep up and will be a huge liability in our more difficult fights.
6. Remaining active. We aim to keep our roster as small and as active as possible and regularly remove players who have gone inactive without notifying us. As a general rule we expect members to attend at least 3 raids per week and to inform us beforehand of any extended periods of inactivity.

Dear GH and FSP. You might have noticed some of our guilds leaving this week, and none of the remaining ones fighting, Aside from XXX [Rain] [APE] and of course [Gum]. We would like to put more of a fight up, But alas some of our more “senior” community members have destroyed our wvw community this week, We’ve had lots of guild members transfer off uw due to diminishing wvw, and some guild have even just plain left Underworld. And i honestly say that i’m sorry we can’t put up more of a fight for you guys. Until recently i had no idea why this was and it has just come to light that this is the work of our own guilds and such, in a twisted idea that has completely backfired.

I’d just like to make clear that i think the guild leaders mentioned in the following link are the leaders of a “fractured” part of underworld and do not represent our whole view of world versus world. They are a dissapointment to our server and this entire game mode. Please enjoy this.

Really sorry to hear that. I’ve always respected Underworld as a server and it’s a real shame that this is happening.

Fights are what matter most, although it would have been better if you guys had grown a pair and engaged us when we were on our own… :sadface:

We’ve engaged you many times and wiped, and will continue to do so. When did we run from you? You guys are better than us, that comes from your experience playing together but we still engage since we’re keen to learn. I even approached you for a GvG (knowing that we would lose) because we enjoy them and they make us better, but was brushed off twice because your GvG leader isn’t around…

Being proud about the fact 3 WvW guilds got inside Garrison versus 1 WvW guild with a few pugs.. Standards are shifting nowadays.

That’s exactly why they failed though, they had three melee balls running around catching people in ones and twos which was nowhere near efficient enough to clear the lords room in 3 mins or less. If they’d been a large pug zerg they would have most likely taken it.

If it was a PUG zerg it would have wiped.

Not really, check the footage of the early fight, the first 10-20 minutes, we were outnumbered and barely held on. Only later did the numbers on our side pick up, a pug zerg with your numbers would have cleared the lords room much quicker.

At the end of the day we had a blast, it’s unfortunate that you didn’t, but seeing as you’re already the most effective PvP guild in this match up and you decide to run hand in hand with the other guilds i don’t have much sympathy for you.

We have the entire thing on stream, you arent 25 players by any means, thats a huge bunch of bogus. It also takes no skill whatsoever, or is this it now, wvw skill is reduced to bannering npcs lol. Epic wvw.

Well done on capping paper keeps back though, doesnt change the fact that you lost them in t3 state.

No, at the start of our raid, we went to hills with just our raid while kale and punk were near bay. At the outer gate we were met by a treb behind the gate + like 5 arrowcarts. There was also 250 supply inside the keep + a waypoint. You really expect us to take that slowly over the course of hours? I really rather not, its boring.

Its not action reaction, the first action is that you have upgraded keeps with a bunch of siege and the turtling mentality. You even proved that simply by bannering the lord so many times, you will do anything you need to keep your objective, that is boring for us, so we will do anything we can to take the objective fast so that we can have some fights on the field since you cannot care about keeps you do not own.

You had three full force guild groups, we had one. After losing bay and hills we made the decision to hold garrison using banners, waypoints, and interupts. Honestly, do you think we should have engaged your blob? Whenever we did find a guild and engaged you guys got involved by charging in.

Regardless, i hope you guys had fun, we did.

We blobbed AoA tonight, our full zone against 25 of them, it happens.

Had fun in GH BL tonight, we were running around like crazy trying to patch up all the holes in out keeps/towers – eventually we got swarmed and couldn’t keep up but there’s only so much you can do. Thanks to AoA, BLOS, and XxX for the fights.

Was refreshing to see VoTF running around, obviously a highly skilled bunch, but they also run like 40+ which makes it pointless to go up against in field fights. Would love to get a 15v15 scrim against you guys though.

You may be surprised to find that we actually run with around 30 people, yesterday we were 32 at peak running against both you and HT.

I see that RAGE still has to learn a lesson in “The right way to place & use siege”.
On the one hand the 2 superior catapults on the boat in bay looked nice but on the other hand your aiming skills were not so great. You tried to hit a wall that cant be damaged.

That was a fun fight Awesome defence by you guys.

I was commanding when that video was taken, i think t was Sunday. Piken were having their Drunken Event so we decided to blob up to counter them, tbh it was a lot of fun, not something i’d like to do too often but a nice change from guild raids. I was aware of the guy in your TS later on but at no point did he pass on any information to me specifically, and in /m /s all i saw was a commentary of your reactions. Nothing to do with movements/positioning etc, our scouts were doing a good job that night.

Currently it costs 500 gems to transfer to Gunnars which is the cheapest in the EU silver league. We also have one of the strongest EU primetimes. All we really need is a little more off-peak coverage and we’ll be very competitive and a contender for the top spot in our league.

Thanks for the fun on GHBL tonight. We can’t win this week, or probably even get second, but we can try and have some interesting fights. GoW and CS were a welcome change to what we experienced over the weekend, skilled groups mostly doing their own thing. Hopefully we get to see each other again during the week, and thanks to CS for celebrating New Member Day by going pink!

This has been a great week as far as action goes, we had constant fights against some really strong opponents. This is how WvW should be and i hope we get to fight AG again in the near future, maybe with a more equal third opponent. Good luck to Kod and AG at reset.

How many Golems did Kodash just lose?

Just a quick note since we’ve had a few enquiries, our EU prime-time is stacked at the moment. Unfortunately we don’t have room for any additional raids in that time slot as queues are already a serious issue. So if you raid between 19:00 and 22:30 uk time please consider another home. Many of our opponent servers are looking for guilds to cover that time and we’d love the extra competition, lets make silver league awesome by spreading the action around.

As for guilds who play outside of prime-time GH is a great server to be on. We have an active and friendly community with a strong base of militia aided by a lot of very good guild groups. Yeah, heard about that when it was first found. Unfortunately they’ve since said that the GvG team was disbanded and moved to work on more important content.

Our match-up has a lot of GvGs this week but i don’t think anyone is keen for them to be official due to the orb buff and the balance issues it introduced.

I heard that he’s gone to vabbi.

I’m really looking forward to the week ahead, so many guild groups to bash heads with. We’re kinda stacked with GvGs atm but could possibly fit in another at around 9pm UK time on Wednesday if anyone is interested.

Well, we were leading PUG zerg today as well (we were low on numbers too and some GH guilds were blobbing in ROF bl where we started), it’s been a while since I had the dorito on. We got killed more than couple times as to be expected, I hope RoF PUGs learnt something in process tho :P And I admit that I killed us sometimes trying to move with PUGs like I would do with guild :P

Yeah, it wasn’t intentional. We roamed alone like always but the NE tower was the final point on the map so everyone in the zone ended up there. As a result it got zerged badly. We actually ended our raid after that since there wasn’t much to do and 3:1 fights in your favour aren’t much fun.

It was a lot of fun on ROF BL tonight, the action was everywhere! Thanks to LC, TaG, Naz + PUGs, and the others for the fun fights.

You should talk to the mesmer from [EP] and tell him he/she is just there for Veil and Time warp.. see how that goes over.

LOL, its like asking me what a Ranger brings to a zerg, I’ll chew your ear off but I know what our limits are compared to our professions. Its the truth, what is the point of the Mesmer in a GvG other than Veil or Timewarp? A GvG group will only need one Mesmer, hell a zerg of 40+ only really need one/two Mesmers. I play a Mesmer and I understand there group mechanics and the are very limited and pigeonhole to a few gimmicky skills in WvW large group play.

Like I said go talk to them. That mesmer helped [EP] destroy casters during the fights I watched. they aren’t there for “just veil and timewarp”…

After just facing EP, thinking a mesmer is JUST there for the veil and timewarp is silly. They are there for many other reasons. From an outsiders pov GvGing might be a waste of time and might not contribute as much as other players looking to “increase/hold PPT”. The truth is that most GvG guilds play wvw to kill other players rather than sitting in towers because playing the PPT game burns people out. I mean who wouldn’t want that feeling of accomplishment when you wipe a 60 man zerg with 20 people?

I’d like to see a video of 20 people wiping that 60 zergs, could u link 1 please?

Can someone link a video of the Wildstar PvP combat? From what i’ve seen so far it looked very immobile, people standing around casting skills… seems to be a real lack of mobility in combat.

The stat boost, while controversial, is there to give the buff meaning in the context of the general WvW battle. Providing boosts like %WXP, etc. don’t have impact in fights against other sides, they are just a nice bonus for you. The stat boost and the points for finishing players mean that not only do you want to have the buff, but you don’t want your opponents to have it.

Then what about a waypoint? Hold three points and you get a waypoint in the middle of the map somewhere. So that it’s not too OP you could have the WP open every 3 mins or so.

Make each capture zone a Waypoint, then you’ll have people fighting over them all day.
