Yeah GH is having a hard time atm.

A few key guilds disbanded or moved on from GW2 to other games, which combined with our small population and high mid-tournament transfer costs makes things difficult. But the guilds we do have are very capable and are having a great time, no queues, no competing with other guilds for fights, it’s actually a lot of fun.

I imagine we’ll see transfers after the tournament though since we’re a silver league server with lots of room.

Gunnars is free of queues mostly. EB has one and there will generally be a border with 10 or less in queue, but i haven’t seen 2 or more borders queued at the same time for a while. It’s pretty remarkable that we’re even competitive given our numbers.

Those queues are insane. GH managed to get short queues on all 4 BL yesterday in prime time. It was the weekend so numbers were up but i imagine it’s something we’ll see a lot more of during the tournament.

As for predictions, i guess we’ll take 3rd or 4th. I don’t see how we can compete with FSP or the new gandara juggernaut, and piken has recently beat us.

Yeah, we have space for another 2 primetime raids. Queues are limited to EB and occasionally a short one on GHBL. We’re a very strong guild friendly server that’s in a very good position and will be pushing hard for the top of silver.

Yeah, this and the stupid imob bug in combat. Need to use an emote to move again, this really should have been fixed months ago.

Just a quick update incase anyone is looking to join GH for the upcoming Tournament.

During EU primetime (7-10pm UK time) we only queue EB and Home BL. Even then the queues are short, 5-10 people usually. We have enough room to comfortably fit another 2 or so primetime guild raids. Outside of primetime we have no queues anywhere so we have plenty of room should you play then.

It’s looking like we’ll hit silver league where we will be amongst the other guild focused servers so we should have a lot of fun match-ups during the tournament. We are a capable server and will be aiming for one of the top slots in our tier.

Many, many people on Augury Rock (EU) complain about excessive lags on EBG… BL’s are apparently fine.
And not everyone is lagging / and/or not at the same time. Like half my guild complain they can’t do anything, but I do fine, and suddenly they are “hooray, it works”, and it’s my turn to be unable to launch anything… Then we all are able to get our skills working, and you see messages from the pug group that they lagg…

Hope that whatever it is that creates that will get resolved before tournament…

It’s still a problem in the Borderlands, any keep fight or three-way brings the skill lag. I guess it could be the matchup though since there’s a lot of deso/gunnars/ar players complaining here, the fights this match-up are mostly zone blob vs zone blob vs zone blob.

Yeah, the hills back and forth was a lot of fun, well defended! Hopefully we can repeat it tomorrow, it’ll make me rich.

Regenesis[Re] is a hardcore Raid/GvG focused guild on Ruins of Surmia. Our goal is to perform at the highest level whilst maintaining a fun, friendly, and drama free environment.

We run daily raids during which we focus on Guild vs Guild and Guild vs Zerg combat, prioritising tough, competitive fights over farming and PPT. Generally we face groups that are much larger than our own so we rely on better composition, better coordination, and members who can get the most out of their class and build.

Our members come from across Europe. Many of us have experience raiding with top European guilds and bring the experience, dedication, and knowledge to help make [Re] one of the strongest guilds around. We believe in quality over quantity and strive to be the best at one thing: Fighting. We love to achieve victory over impossible odds, and because of that we like to keep our guild roster tight and active.

We raid on a daily basis, between 19:00 and 22:00 UK Time.

What we expect from our members.

1. We’re looking for active, experienced players who have a good knowledge of their profession and game mechanics.
2. Members are required to maintain focus during raid time, wandering off or going AFK regularly will get you removed from the raid, frequent offenders will be removed from the guild.
3. We use the community TS3 server, you are expected to have a working Microphone.
4. Members are expected to behave maturely, we do not tolerate drama, and because of that our minimum age requirement is 18.
5. When you’re wearing the [Re] tag you represent not only yourself but the guild as a whole. The actions you take in-game and on forums will help form peoples opinion of us, with that in mind you should avoid any sort of trolling, verbal abuse, or unconstructive criticism of other players, guilds, or servers.
6. We do not accept any form of glitching, exploiting, or hacking that gives an unintended advantage in PvP or WvW, this includes the use of third party software that is illegal as per the EULA. Any member found to break this rule will be removed immediately.
7. Members are expected to give notice of any extended periods of inactivity.

What we offer

Our zerg almost stomped that ranger and we thought he glitched by the power of our 15 man awesomeness, but then :

Ninja skillz.
Both the engi and the ranger used speed hacks, only the ranger used fly hack.

I saw the same user halo drop on to bay wall a few days ago, i turned on fraps and followed him, all i got was some glitchy movement though, no more flyhacks. I reported him though.

If you look closely you’ll see that the graphic is out of date. It puts ROS below UW and Dz but we’re now above both, so getting AM is a little more likely than we were expecting.

I have high hopes this week after a really fun reset in EB. Good luck, keep it clean, and see you on the battlefield.

[Re] looking for 15v15 GvGs

[SWAT] lets have a 15v15 on Thursday, /w me in game and we’ll sort it out.

No repair station…

I’m not really as pessimistic about it as you Sabull. Sure the terrain is a little more uniform, but some of the new features could make for interesting gameplay and help spice up the current meta.

Take for example the addition of pillars and statues as natural barriers, i’m looking forward to seeing how guilds jostle for position amongst them. They’ll act as a counter to the melee train so should be useful for regroups. It’ll be interesting seeing guilds peruse their weakened opponents up there, I imagine there will be a few upsets as the team being pursued gets off a strong burst at one of the corners and flips the fight.

Ofc that assumes we have the whole ground floor for the GvG and that the stands are free of spectators, this shouldn’t really be a problem though since we have those two elevated wooden platforms where they can stand.

To be fair though, we start prime time at a huge disadvantage with AM t3 keeps everywhere. Usually takes an hour or so for us to get on par.

Gunnar’s Hold is a mid table EU server with a very strong primetime and weak (compared to similarly ranked servers) off peak coverage. We certainly have off peak players but lack any sort of coordinated presence, no guild raids for example.

Generally our night team can handle itself but they could use some fresh players to make things a little easier. Our real blind spot is the EU late morning and afternoon time period. The Gunnar’s population is a mature one, which gives us a strong, vibrant, and loyal community, but it means that during working hours we are left understaffed. Any guilds or players willing to help out during this time will be warmly welcomed.

Currently we’re a Medium population server so are one of the cheapest in the EU silver league. With another 20-40 regular players in a couple of key timeslots we’d be one of the strongest too, and a real contender for the top spot.

Poor guy, we brought him all the way from bay and helped him capture a sentry along the way. The plan was to let him capture north camp and leave him hidden at the old orb area, but he came back and ruined it

WvW has seen a drastic decrease in performance since the start of the league and so far we’ve heard nothing from the devs. During EU prime time WvW has been rendered unplayable by constant desyncs and skill lag – a problem that has been reported across many servers. In the past such events were limited to huge SM 100+ man fights, but recently they’ve happened regardless of numbers involved, it even happens when not in combat.

This post isn’t really about that though, it’s about the lack of communication from the devs. Have you acknowledged the problem and are you doing anything to solve it? Can it be solved in the short term? At this point i’d be up for lowering the WvW map population until a solution is found, i’d rather queue than endure the constant frustration that is WvW right now.

I’m incredibly excited about WvW going forward. The GvG arena, the rehauled queueing system, and the new map overflow are all amazing additions. WvW in 2014 is going to rock, but what do we do now?

Show us some love devs, tell us what’s going on.

We definitely ran larger numbers tonight, between 22-29 – Sunday is the most active night of the week for us usually. Plus we had a handful of ads usually, hopefully it was still fun for you guys.

Fun night in MSBL thanks for the fights. It was ultimately ruined by lagg though, We had a tonne of crashes in the bay fight and decided to call it early.

Best matchup in a long time, too bad the lagg and queues are so bad atm.

Final post by me before the leagues hit. Currently our offpeak needs a bit of a buff, we can carry our own in primetime and can compete with the best, but we lack the leadership needed to keep us ticking in the early hours. The server itself is great and has a very strong core community that keeps in touch via the Gunnars-hold.eu website and via the community teamspeak, which regularly houses hundreds of GH players.

We also have a strong PVE community with regular events and some very devoted players who keep things ticking along in WvW. Recently we’ve seen our server numbers grow, but there is room for more during EU offpeak times, basically if you raid or play outside of our primetime (18:00-22:00 uk time) you will be warmly welcomed.

GH is ideal if you’d like the following:

• Strong and stable community
• Guild friendly server
• Regular WvW Events ( Asura nights , heavy nights , necro nights , public raids etc)
• Regular PVE events ( March to mount maelstrom , fight for frostgorge )
• Strong community infrastructure (Shared Teamspeak, Server forums, GH PvP server)

Yeah, lots of fun tonight. Thanks for the fights. I heard a lot of horror stories about Viz, but tbh they’re a great opponent. Not as blobby as piken (for the most part) and respectful on the field. Keep it up and we can have a fun week… in primetime ofc, of peak will remain dire.
