You can’t attribute Gunnars closing to <5k at one point on RoS to Dz having connectivity issues on 1 map of 4… if noone could get in there then they’d be destroying the borderlands right? Well no they didn’t. We’ve dominated the borderlands in primetime all week, and at one stage at about 10pm last night we held both Bay and Hills in Dz bl.

I don’t think you understand, I’m not sticking up for RoS I’m sticking up for DZ after one of your players claimed you had won this week. Most of the time the borderlands stay the colour of the owner even if some stuff gets capped it doesn’t usually stay that way for long, you really think that losing all those ppt from EB had no effect on the outcome and GH won this week, honestly you’re deluded.

I don’t think anyone won this week, I think the points have been spoiled by game bugs.

I could have just as easily said we are winning because we are actually winning but I think game bugs won this week and the final points mean nothing.

All 3 servers get double teamed it’s how WvW works a RoS guy was complaining of the same thing earlier.

I declare disconnects and bugged keeps the winner.

I feel really sorry for DZ they were in second before the bugs and have had the most trouble getting in EB of any server.

RoS and GH have had a free run in the DZ part of the map.

This week’s scores are null and void.

I think the difference is that ROS and Dz came to an agreement not to attack each others territory (speaking together on Teamspeak). We all knew about it the night it happened but decided it wasn’t worth complaining about since it’s all part of the game. I find it funny however that the ROS commander came from RiOT, the same guild who were asking for everyone to leave them alone so they could progress a tier. Seemingly this was because t7 was too easy, but now that they have decent, even fights, they decide to ally with the enemy… doesn’t really make sense to me. I guess T7 easy mode isn’t quite easy enough for them.

It wouldn’t be too difficult if we had it in EB an hour or so before reset. I imagine there would be lots of complaints though if we started stripping keep/tower supply.

Yeah it was kinda stressful, i was expecting that VcY group to show up and wipe us on the island. Fun fight though, glad we did it. We should have 50v50v50 on reset night

We had a go at you multiple times last night even though you outnumbered us (i think we peaked at 15 in WvW, most of the time slightly less) but people are drawn to orange swords and we can’t do anything to stop them joining in, nor would i want to, they flipped the fight in our favour a few times. I was surprised when your guy /laughed when you wiped us though, that was nice and classy, we didn’t pull that crap when we dropped you at lake

Element spends a lot of that fight eating dirt. I’m not sure if he dies in the other fights though you’ll have to check for yourself. I’m sure if you ask manifold nicely he’ll create you a little montage of him dying

I have to say this has been a great match-up, when i play the ticks are always pretty equal, plus there’s always people around to fight. Not much more you could ask for in a match-up.

Looking forward to our GvG against FIRE tomorrow, and against janthres and co. on Wednesday.

It happens, i’ve been ported under bay before, but this guy started attacking which makes him a cheater imo. Next time waypoint and run back, instead you make yourself and your guild look bad.

It looks like we’re going up a tier tomorrow so thanks to both WSR and AS for the fights and good luck to you both going forward. Unfortunately the match-up has been fairly one sided and overall not much fun, a few great fights here and there but mostly it was zerging and PvD. Hopefully next week will be a better experience for all three servers.

Anyway, thanks to Tz and dova for the frequent fights, the impromptu duels, and for keeping us on our toes. For those of you interested in such things here’s a video showing my favourite fight of the match-up.

I can only speak for my guild but we won’t be giving you any free passes next match up. I’ve no doubt that you’re evening and afternoon coverage will have you dominating the score, but come prime-time we’ll be giving it all we have.

I guess in hindsight stacking a bunch of higher tier guilds on a single tier 8 server was a bad idea, but it’s not our job to make things easy for you.

I think the problem is that FURY and BCry come from the higher tiers where GvG’s are the norm. Down here it’s done much less, there’s probably 1 or 2 guilds per server who have the numbers/coordination to take part in them so they are rare. Next week we’ll be against Dz and you’ll easily get 5v5, 1v1, maybe a 10v10… 20v20 though might be difficult and you’ll have to look to ROS with there new guilds for that.

Different tier, different culture.

Anyone want some duels tonight before reset? It’s something Dz organise a lot and it’s a nice fun event to end the week with. 1v1, 2v2, 5v5 that type of thing. Whisper me in game, or meet us at the windmill in AS BL at 5pm UK (2 hrs prior to reset)

I dunno, i think our entry requirements are too high. Most people can’t solo 100 man zergs like we can or insta-nuke gates with sheer determination. If you think you’re hard enough then sure, come along and join the team.

Actually I saw you/them running with 30-40 men group this monday. Made us change borderland due lack of fun.

We know how the situation looks like. That there are most people who are likely to zerg, and VERY FEW who won’t join zerging for any cost.

What are you talking about? We run 15 (+/-5) during our raids, we don’t even have 40 people in our guild… For the most part you’ll only see us in the zerg when we only have a couple of people online.

Last night we focused AS, then focused WSR. We focused them in Bay, in Briar, and in Vale. We also portal bomb focused that one guy in the field outside west Garrison. Then we got focused by Tz and their militia, which was painful.

Later we got word that EO plus others were focusing our garrison so we ported back and focused them right out of there. It was a fun night! I look forward to focusing more of you tonight.

@Eolehyene.9084, Malki (DyslexicDwarf.6249) ran with us a few times before his guild moved to GH and i can tell you that he’s not afraid of a good suicide charge

Also can you settle an argument we’re having within SOE atm? Have you recently transferred to AS? Some of us recall fighting you a month or so back when we were on Piken.

The three-way fight we had in WSR bay tonight was fantastic, a lot of skill and determination shown by all sides. Much respect to you all, except of course Arborstone’s EO guild, who remain a bunch of cheating kitten

I think there’s a bit of a terminology difference here. I assumed that by ‘focus’ you meant we were ignoring WSR and focusing AS as part of some big plan, that’s not the case. We got a foothold in AS and are making the most of it.

Yeah we had a lot of ACs in place and i think that’s what done most of the damage, they are very OP atm. However we did have a lot of players too, less than you but enough to hold the lords i think.

You can whine all you want but we’ll defend our territory on AS BL for as long as we can. While we’re there we’ll also attack, otherwise we’re babysitting a keep all day which isn’t fun.

Obviously i can’t speak for anyone but myself but i intend to spend the majority of this match-up fighting AS in GH or AS BL, with a particular focus paid to EO guild.

That was a great fight, i’d like to thank our Dz friends for saving us there at the end :p. Luckily we held the inner after you guys wiped and managed to recap it after the lords buff ran out.

I only really remember one encounter with you guys and that was at lake (there may have been more but it was a long raid), we never stood a chance and only attacked because it seemed rude not to. I had fun fighting you guys last week when we met with similar numbers but tonight we had about 10, CHvc had about 10 and your group still outnumbered us by a very large margin.

I guess Phetid gave VoTF a shout out because we encountered them a lot tonight and their numbers were much closer to our own, although they may as well have been a 40 man zerg for all the damage we done to them. Those guys are tough, maybe by the end of the match-up we’ll start downing at least a couple of them.

That being said, I actually noticed that a lot of ROS were running in guild groups of 15-30 tonight and not in monster blobs. I have a lot of respect for FRS, XxX, and VoTF for doing that. See you all again tomorrow night.

It’s not the first time innocent Dolyaks have been slain during this match-up, and I doubt it will be the last. However, you did steal our fireworks and we expect you to return them asap. Also, your disregard for for the sanctity of dolyak life will be forever immortalised in our latest video.

Yeah, we give FRS (formerly part of Xaoc) a lot of hate because of their history with GH but you rarely see them zerg up. It’s a nice surprise given how they used to play when they were here, they’re also getting better from what i’ve seen, lots of respect for those guys.

As for the match-up, sure it’s uneven and unfair but that’s WvW. You need to remember that we done the same to other servers when Xaoc joined us. We’re just going to have to wait it out. Although i do find it funny that they came here to avoid zerging and skill lagg but have introduced both of those to this tier.

I understand the blobbing and support it. You need to understand that we don’t have the ability to compete with you on a consistent basis. Sure we have PRXM most nights, but the other large guilds are limited to their guild nights which means that for the most part our coordinated groups are much much smaller than yours.

Like most guilds on GH SOE run with 10 members and there’s not much we can do in this match up, sure we can try ninja something but inevitably we’ll have a 25 man VcY or RiOT guild dropping on top of us. Who’s zerging who in that situation? At this point we (SOE) have basically given up any hope of a fair fight and are just messing around. See you on the battlefield.

Another fantastic night of WvW, points and coverage aside this is shaping up to be one of my favourite match-ups. If it wasn’t for our day players having such a lousy time i’d be happy for us to stay grouped for a long time.

The highlight of this evening for me was trying to ninja the inner north gate of ROS Bay whilst ROF and ROS duked it out all around us, we were found eventually but almost got in. After that our group of 10 got on to the inner wall and attacked ROF before trying (and failing) to make a heroic push in to the lords room. I’m not sure which one of you finally won but it was a kitten good fight.

Thanks guys, we appreciate it and also had a lot of fun last night. It was our first encounter with an organised RiOT group and even though we blindsided you, you recovered well and got us back. I hope we dropped you some nice loot. We were actually on our way back to have a second go but got called to help on another borderland so had to zone out.

As for the fight at water, we really didn’t expect to make a dent in your group but we had nothing else to do. I think we got about 5 in the initial attack and then another 5-6 who followed our retreat towards Hills, I hope we didn’t cost you the fight against ROS

That was because bots where escorting the dollys, but why would a bot need Wxp?
