Well I had party bugs all night in COF so maybe the servers were dying anyway and needed a good reset. We’ll see.

I think “The Mist Explorer” is one commander in RES, you can try him. I don’t know who the guild leaders are though.

Edit: They aren’t BG… they’re ours. They have 400 odd members mostly in PvE.

So I was doing my crab toss daily when I saw that I had a food buff on me.

Was this intended? I recall that usually my food buff goes away when I go in.

I know Balth works because I saw CD say it was open (on forums) and it reflected that on the script.

CoF/CoE also tested to completely work. The temples as you know ‘rarely’ open so harder to test. I think that the data should be all correct though, let me know if any errors thanks!

Using the new APIs from ANet (thanks guys!) I’ve made a simple page that checks which temple and which dungeons (CoF/CoE) are uncontested on which server.

The site is still under construction (was designing a guild site but the API diverted my attention haha) so it might look ugly but the information is there.

For example, to check Lyssa availability on NA this is the link:

anyways so while I was looking around, I happened across this video:

I skipped to random parts (not watching the whole thing, sorry) in an attempt to gather a better picture of what a “typical battle” with CD looks like, and I came across the moment 14:00 where you rage quit (logged out and back in, LOL) after getting downed in a 1vs1 fight vs a CD opponent.

I didn’t realize people still rage quit in fights they lost, do you do that often?

ColderThanYou = Finale Reaper. Same guy. He was forced to rename his account due to a not so nice word the started with A in his old account name.

He is a definite troll and should be blocked & ignored.

Even most of our “pugs” blocked him eventually, he’s extremely bad. Like the above posters said, he had his commander tag at 700 achievement points and didn’t know that you couldn’t buy SM Waypoint upgrade until you had the other upgrades. He kept trolling the chat with stupid stuff and it was painful.

I distinctively recall he threw down 8 golems in lowlands our first reset day in the first week against CD/SBI and burned our 600-odd supply with 2 golems disappearing due to not finishing. He did this again inside SM soon after.

I have parked my mesmer at this Vista and can portal people up that require this.

However, I play primarily during Oceanic hours (GMT+10) around 8pm-midnight week nights which may make it hard for some, if not most of you.

I play more during the weekend so should be able to help some of you NA/EU folk port up.

Feel free to /w me if you see me online, I will help you if I am not busy in WvW (I usually lead so I can’t just bail on the zerg).

The idea of being red for a week sounds awesome. That said, I know that I personally have a major work project due at the end of this week and something like half of my guild is busy with finals… not that we’re a large guild or any indicator of the server at large, but it is what it is.

SBI’s definitely not asleep/slacking off when I was playing the past few hours…

You guys almost ninja’d lowlands from us, that was a pretty good move we almost lost it there. You guys probably knew but most of us were on your BL taking hills at the time.

Anyway, I had a lot of fun fighting SBI near your keep on EB. Pushed to and fro for 25 minutes+ and you guys finally pushed us out with lots of us dead. We both could’ve chased some easy PPT by hitting CD or something else but chose to stay and fight! Awesome!

Going to be a tough week. Siege changes have pushed a lot of people out of WvW, have had a couple of trolls from SoS transfer over running with commander tag causing grief, and have been plagued by some 12 bot kitten taking up space. Also, outmanned buff has been pretty evident all night and day. Matchup stagnation or burn out, tough to say.

That troll was actually from SoS but we all wanted him GONE because well, he trolled us too. He would tag up and afk or be dead somewhere and just overall be unhelpful. It’s unfortunate he picked SBI to troll next but we’ve all tried to report him with little to no success. I’d wager 50% of our server has blocked him hence the move.

It also sucks you guys have PREP guys in there screwing EB taking out your outmanned buff or stacking up your queue.

From siege cappers to troll commanders and multi-boxers it’s just… sigh.

Hopefully SBI doesn’t get too kitten and just leave, we really enjoy having SBI put up a fight and even steamrolling us at times. Keeps the fights interesting.

It’s not just a T1 issue. I had this earlier when I jumped off a cliff it’d plop and then 5 secs later my hp would drop (from fall damage) and I’d fall over again before being able to move.

Sometimes I can’t even use any of my skills until I dodge or weapon swap. This lag is terrible :S

CD fielded some amazing numbers tonight on EB. We had a lot of fun fighting you and people that say T4 has no fights really don’t know what they’re talking about.

The fact that we only have 2 pages for this thread speaks for itself.

All 3 servers would rather play the game than troll/drama/qq about things on here.

We are pretty cool like that. Lets just farm our bags/badges/WXP, leave the QQ for other servers not as cool as us

In fact I was contemplating letting SBI have lowlands because I’d rather have to reupgrade it than be siege capped 24/7 >_<.

Guys, the siege capper in question was with SoS even when we were in T3 vs-ing DB and Yak’s Bend. I verified this myself. Remember the 13 rams outside Veloka? Yeah that was him.

I don’t believe SBI or CD have anything to do with this nor do I believe DB or YB have either.

EsF and Awe have been great opponents this match up. I can say that you guys definitely keep us on our toes by moving maps and hitting places where we don’t defend (our weakness!). It’s unfortunate that you guys are leaving CD but hope you guys have fun in T2! Great fighting you guys!

Rest of CD – I know how you feel, lots of people leaving blah blah but I still see a lot of CD guys that aren’t from those 3 guilds putting up a good fight and sometimes dominating us too. Don’t lose morale, keep up the fight!

Had lots of on CD borderlands last night in some smaller battles with both CD and SoS. Needed a break from the EB zerg ball action. SBI holding the point lead for a good 6-7 hours last night into early morning. But, lack of coverage just continues to kill us during the morning and early afternoon. We need a few good strong SEA/OCEANIC guilds. I think SoS can spare a few :P

We wanted to take your hills but you guys held on well and we had to leave. Good job there guys!

Can you take a look at your KoME (has weird ascii characters too) guild from CD?

There were multiple instances the past few hours where a dead mesmer from said guild would get rezzed through the gate and port people in to cap towers without siege.

Overall I find CD to be very good fighters and don’t abuse stuff like this. I would not wish for you guys to have your good reputation tarnished by such a minority of your server.

since ascended gear isn’t required except if you are into high level fractal farming… and if you are into that, the ascended gear you get from fractals is enough, you do not need the laurel gear.

You’re not making much sense here… it’s you who talked about a strawman in your previous post?

In WoW, and I’m an avid player of that game for the last 8 years with two active accounts, people who raid are also forced to farm for many things… like food, as you mention it, and fishing is actually almost mandatory for any serious raider. You also need enchanting materials, leather for leg armor, gems, etc…, or you need gold to buy those things, which still requires farming outside of your raid activities.
Just like any other MMORPG, GW2 requires people to participate in different activities. But none of those and mandatory, since ascended gear isn’t required except if you are into high level fractal farming… and if you are into that, the ascended gear you get from fractals is enough, you do not need the laurel gear.

the fight is bad, very bad.

it is impossible to finish it “the proper” way, the only way that works is stack all party members on the boss (preferably in corner) and zerg him fast before he can activate his abilities many times.

this way he goes down quickly.

I think his ridiculous AOE attacks should be toned down, either on damage or on frequency.
and on other hand he should get hard melee strike with knockback that will not allow the centered zerging…

Er no. It is not impossible to do it without stacking, it’s just MUCH faster and easier to stack and melee then kite around with ranged weapons and hope nobody screws up too badly.

I’ve done it plenty of times kiting and focusing people that get crystalled before I knew how to stack.

Like the above posters said, this is a serious L2P issue and nothing to do with the mechanics of the dungeon. I’ve seen plenty of glass cannon zerker warriors handle alpha just fine.

Just join a party that doesn’t skip instead of forcing everyone to do ‘content’. Right now there’s nobody forcing you to skip stuff, if you feel like it then don’t skip!

As long as you’re changing events you “should” be fine. Now if you do one event, log out (maybe to another toon, maybe out all together) then log back in to repeat the same event, then continue that pattern, then we have be informed that DR will take effect and we have seen that result via timed events.

Same situation as the OP for me. Further testing suggests that if you run events in an area and logout then play in the same area the next day you get hit with a DR. This was probably to prevent people parking characters at dragons but they fail to consider those people who log out and wish to complete an area the next day.

I am getting significantly lower experience etc when I am doing events despite not actually doing them at a rate of 25+/hour.

Today I just woke up, logged in, ran 2 events and moved to a new zone then hit the DR???

I have never been to Lornar’s Pass before this. This is broken.

Still plenty of amazing commanders on SoS and awesome guilds like VotF which are so fun to play with even as a “PUG”. The population might be a bit down (maybe?) during weekdays due to some unknown reasons but to say SoS is dead is pffft.

We’ll be fighting even if we’re 3rd.

For those of us Oceanics who played on SoS from a long time ago we’re used to having nothing at the Oceanic prime time start and JQ won’t demoralize us that easily with their 600 ppts!
