JQ and SoR ts are run by the same dude, but not on the same server. For the record. JQ’s ts has been DDOS’d daily for about the last 6 weeks, usually during important pushes.

Yep. Same dude, different servers. He(us) aren’t idiots. We know when it’s a DDOS. Especially when an attack wipes 70 Terabytes(that’s right, 70 TB. A DDOS attack on our TS wiped 70TB of DATA from the provider.) of DATA and forces the TS to close for over a week. That was a very costly and annoying, not to mention downright low act. It’s a game, that’s fine and people can have competition, but seriously when you’re attacking providers simply because they provide TS for us, it’s pathetic.

You need 70TB of space to host teamspeak? o_O

We’ve been pretty consistent in our WvW activity. Pretty much we see the same people in WvW day in day out regardless of the matchup.

2. Are you worried about queues on your server, and/or lag in WvW?

SoS barely has any queues. There’s some during NA prime (mainly EB and Home BL) and at reset those 2 have 15 min+ queues but the other two BL are usually outmanned.

Lag is always a problem fighting big servers. We basically don’t even need scouts, as soon as the lag hits we know a JQ or SoR zerg is nearby and ready to jump us.

3. Do you like the league changes?

Pretty neutral on this. Would have much preferred Tier 1 by themselves and maybe TC, Mag, SoS, SBI, FA, YB in one bracket.

4. Do you like the old Bloodlust buff (stats and stomp points) and mechanic, and do you like the new Bloodlust buff (stats and stomp points)?

Hated the old one. Being crushed by JQ zerg during SEA prime when they have +150 all stat was just total kitten. The new one is still bad (60 stats) but it’s better than the old one. Can’t speak much about the stomp points because honestly the only week I’ve played for PPT since last year was the week before Gold league where we had to catch up to SBI.

5. Are you in a roaming guild, a point per tick guild, an open field guild, or a combination?

Combination of all.

Overall I find the leagues thingy positive simply because I no longer have to worry about rolling Darkhaven/Borlis Pass and Pvdooring all week (snoree). Much rather be fighting as the underdog than ticking +695 for hours on end.

Congrats to Mags on beating SoS this week. Not gonna be bitter about it.. you guys did really well and earned it :P

Hopefully both of us get more fun fights the following weeks even if it’s against blobs of Tier 1.

Of course, we’ll look forward for the ‘rematch’ in 6 weeks

I must’ve gotten 1000+ kills from the TC blobs dying to AC fire/cannons/trebs all over valley tonight.

He never mentioned PTV, he said tankier gear.

These new players are all from PvE running full zerkers that refuse to listen to commanders and just want their achievements done.

Getting them wiped a few times is probably the best thing to do in order to make them understand WvW is not PvE.

Most of SoS that chose Gold league don’t want to hit doors so we kinda ignored Mags BL for most of Oceanic… we just constantly farmed TC bags on EB for hours and hours instead LOL.

SoR being on SBI’s teamspeak is totally not match fixing /tier1logic

If our SoS Oceanics weren’t playing we wouldn’t be ticking almost the same as SoR. Stop talking crap we’ve been out every single night and it’s disrespectful and outright lies when you suggest we haven’t. The only time during OCX where our PPT has been low was tonight as we were all watching GvG of Frag and TS.

Also it doesn’t help we are getting 2v1’d. We had a 10 man team taking SoS BL hills from SBI and SoR comes with a 40 man zerg to wipe us and leaves hills intact. WTF?

Fine 2v1 us if you feel we’re that much of a threat but don’t chest thump about it and QQ about us not bringing numbers when you know that is not true.

I had a lot fun playing against SoR tonight on EB. Unfortunate we lost our Overlook eventually and we could’ve definitely done better but I’m still pretty proud of SoS and how long we held on for.

I know myself and many others are having much more fun losing to SoR/TC etc than winning vs BP/CD etc and are pushing very hard to get into Gold League

Thanks for the fights guys on SoSBL. Took a lot of effort to take hills from SBI and IRON kept coming in to poke us. It was pretty hectic.

I’d like to say that you guys (SoR) do not blob nearly as hard as JQ… which is refreshing.

SoS doesn’t have any major SEA guilds. We have a few smallish guilds that’s it… and by small I mean ~10 people lol.

TC on the other hand has Awe and INVC and some others.

I was defending Overlook on EB up until 2am the first 2-3 days of this match up with only 35-40 people against JQ full queue map.

Just because some commanders are ‘crying’ doesn’t mean all of us gave up or are just karma training.

Besides, when you made that post it was like 4am Oceanic time which is a dead zone for us anyway except for some small groups.

I got 4 bonus chests which made no sense to me at all but I’m not complaining.

Everyone was dc-ing on SoSBL not just you rooster. Even JQ was dc-ing apparently.

Yeah after Grekkz and the rest of AFS left we had a huge coverage hole (SEA) and still do. If we had SEA at all we wouldn’t keep losing to Dragonbrand.

Our SEA coverage consists of Oceanics that play late or our NA crew that gets up early. Needless to say the numbers are somewhat slim.

I did a /supplyinfo just now on EB and we had 40 people on during “SEA Prime” (1am Sydney time) and I’m guessing the other maps are all empty given they’re 99.5% green.

So does SF fight alone or do they only fight when NS holds their hands? LMAO

You clearly didn’t read the updates. They are discontinuing the Series 1 minis that’s why everybody bought them up either to speculate or to collect.

I bought a Jack-A-Lop at 185g and I know others that did a similar thing because it was hard to get and limited.

I think there was a dev on SBI. We used to hunt him down on purpose just for kicks.

Yep SoS is filled with PvX players that just give up and stuff. That’s why we just took SoR’s Tier 3 SM and held it for over 3 hours.

JQ is not a tier 1 server. Only reason they are even in T2 is because of that SEA coverage. TC is superior to them.

JQ > TC. TC got crushed when they played against JQ.

It seems obvious a lot of people in this thread misunderstand what a flipper actually does.

Flippers just bid/ask and lower the spread for items. It is beneficial for sellers and buyers to have flippers because for a seller he/she can sell for a higher price through an instant sale or take a risk at 1c below current sell price. The flipper in theory would lower the spread to 20% so there is much less risk for this seller to list the item at 1c below current sell price as well. The buyer of course will be happy as he/she only has to pay whatever lowest price the flippers competing with each other set. Flippers move on volume for the most part and sitting on stock = gg, time value of money etc

After reading this entire thread I believe people are complaining about SPECULATORS or “PUMP and DUMP” or “Cornering the market” type of investors and NOT flippers. These guys supposedly buy up large chunks of merchandise at X and sell it back for say 5X slowly. It’s been said that the precursor market has been like this but time and time again there has been zero proof of this happening.
