This sucks, I’ve done this a few times and still on 1/10, please fix.

You can block them then look them up on your block list, then you’ll have their name.

I think price will crash pretty hard if it’s the same event as last year.

The destroyer farm wasn’t THAT prevalent towards the end simply because only a few servers had the population to support it (eg. SoS had no one in the crown pav near the end of the event) but with the Megaservers there will be a farm train there 24/7.

i managed to pick up a ton of them when they were low earlier in the year. under 80c.

I bought like 30 stacks a few months ago when they dipped below 1s, cashed out most of it already hehe

All the Hong Kong players I know play on NA servers… most of them are on DB, SoS and TC I believe.

It all depends on the commander. Some commanders look for karma only and avoid fights, some look for fights only and avoid PvD and some do a mix of both.

If gauntlet was anything like the nerfed gauntlet last year nobody’s really going to farm it since the tickets cost more than the profit you get from the bags which might be why sprockets aren’t dropping.

They completely nerfed the coin drops from the boxes mid way through the event. You would basically lose money on most gambits lol.

I still have like 300 gauntlet tickets spread over my alts though, wonder if they’ll be useful.

After the leagues you will more likely swap colors.

Green has 2 tier 1 servers this week on NA side as well as HoD and FA who are #1 & 2 in Silver league.

Would be one of the worse weeks.

Looks like someone bought out the 9 or so sclerite pistols that were at 90g each…and relisted much higher.

Was gonna do that myself but figured the risk was too high on such a low demand skin :P

I don’t know a single player over 20k AP who you can actually call poor.

Generally we aren’t as rich as Vol/Wanze but we definitely aren’t the ones who need the gold…

Got tooth of frostfang from a chest in ACp1. Sold it because I hate the frostfang skin, but made the Kamohoali’i Kotaki with the profit. People laugh when they see that I made a legendary underwater weapon, but when the ghost shark animation comes up, it just puts a smile on my face.

Also the Shark aura is bugged so it shows when you are on land sometimes

Good flippers stop flipping once they realize speculating is much more lucrative and less time consuming.

If you’re talking about basic buy/sell profit then…

1. Try to avoid leaving buy orders overnight because the market can fluctuate a lot.

2. Make sure you check the velocity of the item you are flipping, especially large spread items. Any goods you have to wait to sell is lost time/money and potentially might not sell.

3. When putting buy orders you can click really fast 3-4 times and get 1000 orders in instead of 250.

Disclaimer: I don’t flip anymore, I used to though like 18 months ago.

Sold like 4 precursors. Used to gold to fund my other legendaries.

Just keep a stack of leather straps or other materials for quick salvage daily.

Leveler daily if you’re really time stretched, make a new human alt and run it to the end, takes a few mins and you get a level.

Skill points, save scrolls you get from champion bags for the days where you get this daily.

Events, just recognize where quick events are if you are time poor. EOTM trains, queensdale trains and the like are really quick for events and mentor. Alternatively, check if world bosses are up because some of them are a few events including pres.

Daily reviver, the usual spots include Metrica Province near FE and the Seraph north of Ascalon Settlement in Gendarren Fields. There are other places but I usually go to those 2 and res.

I know there’s a lack of choice now for dailies but if you’re really time poor you could figure out how to get as much done as possible in your limited time. Or should anyway, gives you more time to do whatever you want to do.

Always lemongrass if it’s a serious fight. I sometimes use saffron bread if I’m feeling cheap.

Unless you’re constantly rolling over bad players I really don’t see the use of the compote, it might have a place in eotm I guess.

There’s no point arguing about reward structures anymore imho.

We have told them many many many times that events gave too little reward and what did they do? They nerfed the coin drop??!?!!

And dungeons, plenty of suggestions have been made about the rewards there. Countless people have complained about SE p2 giving same reward as COF p1 but nothing has nor will change.

I don’t even try anymore.

tl;dr: Time vs Reward isn’t anet’s strong point

As phys said above, there’s a legitimate problem with some areas of the game rewarding kitten all for the effort involved but I feel like it’s counterproductive to blame it on the traders/flippers.

As a counter argument, for me, casual TP trading nets me enough gold to enjoy the other aspects of the game such as WvW without needing to sit there and farm gold manually through dungeons etc.

Making them able to be stored in wallet would be nice. I have 250+ bricks of each and at least 300 stacks of the stuff over 4 alts…sigh

I hope there’s no implosion for tier 1, they can keep their mess/QQ etc up there and leave the other 7 tiers alone to play the game.

I’ve been filling a LOT of buy orders recently since I’ve already made a profit and it’s not worth the additional risk for me to wait for a sale.

Sure I might lose some coin but overall it doesn’t really ruffle my feathers. Leave some profit for the other guy, or so they say. I think.

If the flipper is making a profit off me, good for him/her, they deserve it by providing liquidity for my stuff aha

Make personal guild banks. Relatively cheap (~5g I think) for 50 slots.

Or make characters (mules) to store junk.

I do both.

Guilds only go to eotm for a few reasons…

1. Queues
2. Farming your tears/bags
3. Nothing to fight on their WvW map (eg. 695 ppt)

Your post not only does not affect 1 & 3, it encourages 2 even more to farm your sweet sweet lootbags.

Just buy siege with badges and sell on trading post… much easier to convert to gold than karma lol.

I cashed out 2 stacks at around 28s I think. Keeping 4 stacks for fun, not a significant investment and not something that would burn me too hard if it dropped in value.

With all this speculation of deflation I kinda want to hold onto my gold more than buy dyes in case I ever need the coin.

Do some research and start buying up what you think is underpriced to sell at a later date.

You can use resources like gw2spidy and other sites to tell you the price trends but also note that just because something was at price Y before doesn’t mean it will necessary go back up there as there may have been patches that changed the item’s supply and/or demand.

I could see the demand for un-id dyes lean towards mostly Bifrost as opposed to opening the dyes for colors though.

We all know what happens when supply of something is low and is required for a popular legendary (s dubloons), so this could be interesting.

Highly doubt it will skyrocket or even go up for quite some time. After a really long time though the price will be correlated with laurel/T6 and the cost to make the rare dyes with Chef (for forging or w/e).

Yea you can progress that in PvP.

Actually another reason is when I join 5v5 I see say 5/10 ok so I try but by the time I load in it’s like full GG ~_~

Only achievement point hunters are really gonna be upset by this change.

Only one guy out of 10 or so I have spoken to was really ‘upset’ about this change (all of us are 20000+ AP).

He basically said it would become a competition as to who did more living story and he didn’t like that.

The rest us were just grateful we didn’t have to PvP 6 hours a day to keep up with the other AP hunters.

I never stopped salvaging items once I maxed Agent of Entropy AP.

I won’t stop doing dailies (unless I quit) for laurels just because I’ve hit the 10000 AP cap.

The big thing here for AP farmers is that you can stop for a few days and not get left behind and also you don’t have to put in 3-6 hours to do the extra 4 PvP tournament dailies to keep up.

Another thing is that the map will constantly recreate itself becoming a new “overflow” each time it gets capped, therefore mining materials will in one way become harder because of locating it, but in another way it’s like you’re guesting to a new map EVERY time, creating new nodes (that your character can mine every time) each time you zone. It’s like guesting to a different server over and over without the cap of 2 guests.

Even if the node refreshes there are caps on how many times you can mine a node. Guesting doesn’t bypass that limit. I think when the game launched people used to abuse that so it doesn’t work anymore.

(This is a per day limit of course)

They toned the achievements down because season 1 felt too much of a grind according to some people.

Personally I feel that the achievements in season 2 are fine to give PvE players a dip into WvW without overwhelming them with a massive grind. They listened to season 1 feedback about not having repairs, not having multiple JPs and not having merc camps in the list and that’s arleady a big plus for me.

Basically if you look at at ancient wood log purely from the supply side there will probably be a decrease and if we assume demand holds steady the price should go up.

However, there might be factors which aren’t obvious such as :

- Maybe not many people did log runs so minimal dent to supply
- Maybe more logs come from salvaging than gathering so same as above
- Maybe the demand will taper off after people max crafts which equalizes the drop in supply and the price stays the same

etc

Always interesting to look at stuff like this and see what happens though

Why don’t you guys just seed the teams like GF, Ngi etc and ensure they don’t fight each other in prelims until the top 16 or w/e.

Then you can have prelims where everyone gets a chance.

During the first wintersday I screwed up the mystic forge recipe for the wintersday minis and put in 4 minis and got a generic series 1 mini out.

Park level 22-25 alts at the Pirate JP and open the chest every day. I used to park like 10 there and open them every day but I got bored & since dubloon price dropped I stopped…

Average yield I would say around 2 dubloons per day (for 10 alts) give or take. Also good to get some lower level materials from salvaging the armor/weapons you get.

If you use level 20 you get copper dubloons so make sure it is at least 22.

Eotm isnt competitive because 90% of the players that go there do it for the achievements/karma/wexp/badges and couldn’t care less who ‘wins’ the ppt.
