I suck at explaining but…
4 Archers (in the dome thingys) → Nightmare Hounds → 1 group of trash here → bridge → more trash x 2 + lots of blossoms → nightmare pups
That bridge part you could leap off the right and run through there but there’s a wall there now.
Looks like this patch ANet added an invisible wall to the corridor just before Leurent on TA Fwd. #stealthfixes
Pineapple tree still broken though in TA Up.
Probably just RNG but if someone has spare time feel free to test it out.
So after not getting a single coat box from 12 runs I swapped to a new character and got one instantly and then another and got one too (at vine boss).
I’m not 100% sure that using a new character will give you a chest but it worked for me ($##&$(#&$ RNG) so if you’re struggling like I was might as well try it out and see if it’s really how it works (or if I just got lucky as hell suddenly).
9 tries so far and no chest box. Really annoying RNG :S
Both SoS and FA are stable T2, if anything DB should be worried because historically they’ve been filled with fairweathers and bandwagoners.
Laurels for me, knowing my luck ascended mat would give me 1 Elonian Leather Square ;_;
Almost got 500, totally no use for me lol.
The problem is that this rush is way out of line in difficulty compared to all the rest.
I’ve come to the conclusion that most players in GW2 don’t care about how bad they are nor do they have any intention of improving. This applies across all game modes.
The fact that they are ‘dragging everyone else down’ doesn’t register in their minds.
I have a bit of trouble finding competent AND willing players to do dungeons with nowadays, even more so for fractals which isn’t even all that rewarding.
I wouldn’t blame it on PvP though, it’s more people got bored and quit running dungeons or quit the game altogther.
Even my WvW guardian with guard stacks + Force of will doesn’t have that much HP wat!!!!
Definitely an exploit, you’re skipping major sections (lupi) of the dungeon.
Today was definitely a bad day for me in dungeoning…. was doing our usual tour and encountered a few bugs which meant we couldn’t finish some paths and had to reset. Most mind boggling was the effing clown car in SE p3 which just decided to sink and never surface again -__-.
There are kittens everywhere, especially in general discussion. Best bet is to just ignore them or read and laugh (or weep).
I didn’t even know Arch and Moss could still be bugged, shows how much I pug haha :P
2 map queues on BG this reset (~20 each).
The other 2 maps weren’t exactly empty just not queued.
You can use the Water Elemental elite, heals like 4-5k and removes a condi every 15s, beast elite to have. I usually use this to maintain the scholar bonus since nothing else is worth taking imo.
As for the hardest part of coe for an ele imo is the frickkin golem which decides to aim everything at you. Swirling winds and earth 4/5 on focus are your best buds here, or earth 3 on staff (basically reflects/absorbs).
Also for P1 especially, try not to stack together on one spot and fight around Alpha, I feel its much easier that way.
I use the same computer to play both it works fine.
Boonstrips exist for a reason
It’s law of averages really, once you forge ‘enough’ you will get the value listed but not before then. For example, I forged some snowflake for fun (10000+) and ended up with an average of 17.5 instead of 18.5 as per the wiki but I had 19.5 average up until ~9000 and hit a bad streak after that.
If you have deep enough pockets yeah go ahead but if you’re poor and scared of RNG stick with the safe bets like upgrading lodestones which give slightly better than siege upgrades YMMV etc.
Yeah sol eater that’s it, onyl fought it once too haha.
At the time of this post, anomaly gives you 62c to 12s per skill point which is pretty bad.
For future reference there are far better ways to convert SP→Gold.
One example is T1→T2 material promotion.
There’s a colocal queen twin that spawns around the kites area, far easier to kill and still has a chance to drop the tonic/mini.
Armor/weapons (ascended/legendary), Infused rings/backpiece.
It’s best to have no expectations in pugs. None at all.
PvE: Night, Force, Bloodlust, Frailty, Strength, Battle
WvW: Energy, Bloodlust, Force, Battle
PvP: Energy, Doom, Battle
^ most useful I think. The slaying sigils with no dungeon use eg. Ogre/Krait are probably most useless.
Only speed clear or guilds that care about efficiency really use night.
I use slaying sigil/night or force/night (eg. AC) in general with the relevant slaying potions for extra 10% but pugs rarely if ever do that.
Also due to dungeon scaling thingy, using exotic weapon is basically the same as ascended weapon in dungeons like AC. I just have an exotic weapon to swap to while I keep ascended only for coe/arah.
Arah 1 & 2 are very fast and give 3g each if you know how to do them well. CM123 also isnt too bad if you have a solid dungeon group.
Otherwise the usual ones are Cof 1, SE13, ac123 which are very pug friendly.
Man i didn’t even know pugs ranged the ooze in p1… it’s just so complicated to range >_>
I much prefer the soothing count of 1,2,3,4,5,6 bounces :P
Reverting the trait system would be a good start.
Nah i whispered my friends in wvw after i killed them just today. Not blocked.
Cliffside just feels really really really long especially if you get it as the 2nd frac :/
Why do I have to do it again?
Notice to all players, especially the AP farmers:
You do NOT have to do this. Period.
That’s basically just a cop out excuse, kinda like playing GW2 itself is ‘optional’.
It’s just not worth trying in Snowball Mayhem when you can do your best and it’d mean nothing if the rest of your team are… not very bright. And that’s an understatement to some of the “skill” I’ve seen in this minigame.
I do play properly if there’s actual competition but most games I’ve been in are like 500-100 or even 500-0 once.
ANet could actually add ‘challenging’ stuff for AP and not repeatable boring grindy stuff like Snowball Mayhem. It’s a valid complaint.
This is kinda like the whole ‘capture 50 mercenary camps’ thing in WvW S1 all over again, which they eventually thought was stupid and fixed in S2 achievements.
We should just make a thread with ‘economy’ discussions and keep it there haha.
75s per skill point is higher than upgrading siege and core to lodestone.
It’s not the highest you can get but for most people i’d say it’s worth doing it.
I’m just gonna leave this here:
http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Giver%27s_Mithril-Imbued_Inscription
:P
Edit: Might as well explain. With the snowflakes coming into the market in such insane amounts, it is now extremely cheap and viable to craft ‘rare weapons’ to throw into the mystic forge to gamble. Giver’s weapons is what is being mass produced and causing a spike in demand on the logs and mithril ore.
99% sure this is the cause.
My group does this. We have 4 people and clear most dungeons and get an extra 6.5g per person this way. The alt account just sits at spawn while we do everything and split the gold afterwards.
I think it’s allowed, we don’t actually use the account during fights or anything it just sits at spawn.

You can farm chili peppers in ascalon areas (eg. diessa) from those herb thingy plants. It’s RNG as to whether or not they give chili or garlic or thyme etc which is why their prices are so high.
Anyway, Ecto is used in almost like everything desirable. Exotic, ascended gear, a lot of high level sigils/runes, probably main source of T6 dust, legendaries (clovers, gift of fortune) and a lot of high end exotics (eg. anomaly) all require ecto.
At some point I think we as AP farmers have to just say, enough and stop bothering.
Time to start taking magic find food into AC since power does nothing :P
As of typing this, only powerful blood is ‘break even’-ish in terms of upgrade the rest are all losses.
No it hasn’t been raised yet, it’ll be merged later with monthlies to 15k.
So currently the 10k cap still applies on dailies.
It’s pretty bad right now, I’d join up with 4 other random people that may or may not have an interest in playing the thing properly. Some just AFK or use the rifle and attack without building anything and most people don’t even talk, it’s just so anti social and depressing playing Toypoc right now.
Even worse is when you’re halfway through and 2-3 people leave, sigh.
(yes I know a tank is better, but I have not finished getting him to 80 along with giving him proper gear)
Statements like this one is exactly why you get called out so hard in this thread for being inexperienced or bad.
Almost all dungeons are soloable already, except those with multiplayer mechanics such as coe laser traps or arah p1 tar tar binks.
Even t1 won’t have the #s to scout everything, pretty much everything but garri/EBG keep will just be ktrained back and forth.
I think it’ll be a bad idea but meh I’ll still play to see how it goes.
