The problem isn’t even casual vs hardcore, it’s players who actually try and do their best have to mingle with bads who just want or are too ignorant and require carrying.

Make your own groups on LFG saying you want to kill everything, nobody is stopping you.

I wouldn’t say I hate this activity but the APs → grind → burn out → dislike. If there was just like play 5 games a day daily I would probably just go in win or lose and enjoy it but right now its not really that fun for me.

I just farmed gold (like all 2000+) and bought everything, wasn’t worth dealing with RNG, buggy events and wasted time waiting for events to spawn.

11pm and 6am PST aren’t OCX.

And I said nothing about SEA, plenty of servers have SEA including SBI, CD, DH and others.

I was on SoS when we fought DH like a year ago or whatever; You guys had no OCX that showed up even when we only ran like 10 people, tagless.

I keep hearing these mythical “30 man OCX” zergs in low tiers but it’s just bs.

It’s fairly undoable for OCX players. I basically kick when they are in range but by the time the skill responds they’re out of range usually unless they’re really bad.

That only works for NA. TC and BG barely if ever have any queues in OCX and even JQ probably only queues one map. There’s barely anyone as it is to split into more servers, it’d be freakin 5v5 per map if the population was any thinner.

There’ll be substantially less fights for OCX and … sure there’ll be ‘more variety’ but a lot more PvD.

To put this into perspective, there are more NA GvG/fights guilds on FA than there are OCX guilds in the top 7 NA servers.

They also said that to volunteer you had to be in the US etc etc so basically that leaves out over 60% of the playerbase right there. RIP.

If pug I’d probably skip arah.

Cof12, AC123, SE13 would be the choices for pugging.

Organized groups would prefer CM123, arah12 and less time gated ones like ac p3.

Yes the desert rose no longer drops from Southsun Survival. They briefly reintroduced it for people that missed out on LS1 alongside the Zephyr Rucksack backpiece but it was temporary and now gone.

Some bosses have unblockable, unblindable, unreflectable attacks which force you to use dodge. Such examples include Malrona in TA. It really comes down to familiarity as to whether or not you should be dodging but generally speaking it’s never a bad habit to dodge the big attacks even if you negate the damage through other means.

I’ve seen all of the bugs but they don’t happen daily to me.

Last 3 months I’ve had P3 npc bug maybe once or twice, he got stuck in a pillar -_-.

Detha never bugs for me nowadays.

The last boss tunnel P1 bug is avoidable if you wait a bit after handing in the 5 scepter pieces.

I would say I am extremely unlucky when it comes to bugs though, I’ve had the stupid clown car in SE p3 bug lol.

9 Skins here. Dual hammer and Dual axes, probably done ~150 fractals in 2014. Didn’t bother with fractals too much before 2014.

The “problem” with T2 servers though is that even if you 2v1 them during offpeak they have triple your numbers or more. Also there is no benefit in trying to PPT as a T3 server right now, look at IOJ being smart and tanking so SBI takes the painful brunt of being a T3 server.

Tbh i’d rather the open world (eg. SW) content was ‘carryable’ by a few than to require everyone be competent cuz we all know how that goes.

I remember being super frustrated when I had to do 6 minutes to knightfall achievement in LS1 because of so many useless people -_-

I think if you’re having trouble with full zerker gear/meta try taking a bit more defensive traits (eg. vigor for eles in arcana/ same for guard etc). The gear really won’t make too much of a difference? I don’t know.

You can portal other people onto it though but terrain skip stuff like shadowstep won’t work.

Lots of new players atm logging it hard in queensdale probably killed prices for both T1 and T2 wood.

My main character is a thief, and thieves have a bunch of fun skills like traps, caltrops, venoms and elit skills like dagger storm.
But why would I use them?! They arent that effective in pve, they are too weak.
You better put zerk armor and all your signets and just burst damage by spamming backstab.
Even short bow is used only because of its 5th skill for mobility and thats it.
If you like this style, be my guest. But I think arenanet need to make other builds more liked and wanted.
Its like they are saying ‘We gave you a lot of skills but only 2 are actually good. The rest is just foe the show’.

Shadow Trap is used to solo the orbs in Arah p3 and 4. I also use the trap for immobilize on Legendary Shoggroth in Arah p1 and the Devourer venom for Shoggroth as well for further immobilize.

I also use dagger storm often for example in CM p2 when clearing the room after Taylor I would just spin inside. I also use dagger storm regularly if I need to pop stability for say Simin in Arah p4 so I don’t get petrified.

Caltrops I will concede are mostly useless in PvE.

Shortbow I use auto attack to clear the blossoms in TA. Skill 2 to blast, especially fire field for might and my own smoke field for stealth. Skill 4 is niche but poison can be useful against bosses that heal quickly by stemming their heal a bit with poison.

It really seems to me that you just don’t understand your class (thief) at all and how to play it properly in dungeons or anywhere.

There really is no reason to stack more than 1 warrior in dungeons anymore but most people just haven’t caught up with that. Engineer is totally viable and decent in dungeons provided the person playing it knows what to do.

Not sure what’s going on, must be the expansion hype bringing back all the baddies out of the woodwork.

I don’t like pvp because without a team matchmaking will put me with random people whose skill levels vary too greatly to have an enjoyable game with.

I just bought a lot of keys and followed the key train map around, pretty profitable if you have the crests.
