As above, looking at trying a retal build but havent seen to many out there, is it really not worthwhile?

GS/Rifle here and its good. GS is great for mobility and killing downed players. However if a player dodges my 100b its awesome, less chance for them to dodge a volley/killshot.

Whats inquest golemancer armor? First ive heard of it (but just came back to the game)

i dont think we are that bad, i think that it all depends on the situation. in wvw its mostly hang back and watch the aoe zerg, which is kind of boring.

In PVP only ever used HB in a cluster or on a downed players, most people know to evade.

Captain Hammer is good but more as a roamer, in wvw siege i wasn’t happy with it (but that my playstyle).

Yojacks build works with cond dmg i think. Ive gone mostly crit (knights/valk sets)

I’ve spent about 60 gold since returning to the game (I mostly wvw), lots of specs (not all granted). I had lots of fun as a sword/warhorn+ranged build (shout healing, cleric amulets/rings) which was fun, but the build above has just been fun for WvW.

I play shout warrior but I play with a group, and im pretty much 30def/30tac/10str, draconic or valkyrie i forget (its power/vitality) knights gear with sword/warhorn and longbow (selfish reasons, I like to tag as many people as possible for loot :P) . I use cleric amulets/rings and i am enjoying it, but yeah i dont kill many people but im clearing conditions, healing, elite skill bannering and leaping around, its fun. Also for stragglers #5 bow/leap/hamstring usually means they’re not going too far.

Soldier runes i am using on both my sets (draconic/knights)

Warriors are viewed as gimp ive found, so im always attracting damage and the extra time it takes them to kill me usually means my team mates have got them.

It is probably not effective, but it suit my playstyle, im not s charge in, 100b and die person.

If i get over longbow, id probably go mace/shield or hammer for cc/stuns.

Disclaimer, i didnt make my build, i stole t from forums/skillbuilders and just changed a few things to suit… ie the skill that knocks people over when you drop on them, its just FUN

GS is gimmicky and only good wth frenzy and HB, for my warrior i farm with 1h sword/healing shouts you can take on a fair few mobs in a row, perma fast run speeds etc.

Not sure I agree with getting rings run around warrior in pvp … if you know when to pop dmg immunity / shield you can make it a lot harder, but I suppose 1v1 nothing beats a thief who gets the opener.

I always see rangers farming pretty quickittenhough

GS is the fastest killing build but a few adds and you get owned, especially in cursed shore. Longbow is ok but still slow. I find sword/wh, double axe or double sword(yeah yeah I know) to be fine.

Full adrenaline killshot though can be fun with rifle though.

Edit: Nothing kills faster than a frenzy/might/HB :P

so I am not a min/maxer and just play casually. I sit in my Draconic Valkyire with pirate runes (come on, the bird is cool!) using this build and I feel useful in wvw, pve, and just wandering around on my own. Things die quick (not as quick as GS).

I do sometimes go double sword when solo (or just GS), but survivability is cool with this build. I do swap out some shouts occasionally (i like the no dmg one for pvp, those kitten thieves).

Crystal Desert in EB atm… RUIN guild on green, RUIN guild on blue… yeah.

Zerg isnt really fun

silly question but how do sigils work on offhand for things like warhorn? And is the proc rate same as MH?

Guys when i stand still and afk to get a drink i come back to find im dead from hundred blades.

I like GS only for PVE faming… frenzy+HB.

For WvWvW you will spend most of your time trying to get people away from the zerg and then when you do get them, you will get swamped :P

I really like yojacks build for WvWvW (sword/horn), you actually do help people and you arent too toothless when you get hit.

I have yet to try “every” combination though… and im using valkyrie gear :p

Mmm think its the same server that used wall exploits when they faced us a week or so ago.

I do WvWvW but i was thinking more on what gear/where to aquire.

As said, getting close to 80 but not sure what to start on? i.e. karma weapons or exotic armor, or where to get amulets etc so…

What did you o when you first hit 80? What did you plan for etc

Love the mac client already seems way better than Paralells 8 (which was good).

Only problem is mouse will scroll up/down in OSX but not in game, using steermouse or default OSX.

Any ideas

Im nearing 80 and just switched to this build (but swapped out the signet for normal mending, and using a longbow).

Playstyle suits me, but im wondering at 80 what kind of gear you go for to support this… i was thinking knight.
