nope, it wont suck at all for T1. eotm isn’t a bad diversion from the fast pace enjoyable t1 fights. it’s like takin a mini break to hang out at the kids table while the adults talk business at dinner. you can just sump in for a laugh and have fun stomping the lower servers, and the fact that you can also get credit for the season achievements works out just fine.

spirits are bad. the % is all luck on your part and your guaranteed nothing for the cost of the traits and skill slot….well almost nothing, I guarantee the spirits following you will die in aoe or from bouncing weapons long before your opponent does.

nty, that doesn’t even work well in pve.

shiny pve weapons and some ele summons do that occasionally. worst offender is the hammers

when I go anywhere near LA living story miasma or if it rains on a map, and then head into wvw I get weird skill lag issues after 2-3 fights and sometimes even a 2-3 second screen freeze. I then have to reset the game and everything works alright afterwords. if I go directly into wvw, I have no issues unless its a 70v70v70 fight in smc with multiple banner res spams.

you couldn’t swing a JQ corpse without hitting 50 BG invaders pouring out of the bushes this morning, I’d say the hibernation is over

those weapons will lose all worth if they are handed out to every server, no matter how poorly they did, or sold/given away in PVE. if players on mostly pve servers want a chance at winning one then they need to move up the server ladder. this isn’t T-ball where 5 year olds are given a medal so they don’t grow up kitten, servers need to fight for the shinies.

some of that we just have to suffer thru but as for low pop, I refused to accept it, I spent the gems and I moved to tier one and I regret nothing. sure I miss my friends on the lower tiers, but its not all giant zergs here. there are a lot of roamers and havoc groups making a difference at all hours of the day. the wait time isn’t bad either, theres always a borderland open. BG and JQ are max servers now from the transfers, TC will be soon too. join the wvw player base and move up.

this I agree with…but ranger is the least of your worries. my personal favorite sad wall defender death is when a 5 man party of engineers all run up and throw their junk up on the wall at the same time and run off lol

i have a couple ascended weapons and my ascended armor set done for my ranger. the armor is using all +5 toughness in the slots and travelers runes. you can tell the difference in a fight against rangers without them. yes, there needs to be easier access to ascended for wvw, i had to change servers to get enough fights and keep flips to farm all that. i am proud to say i went to pve for only 2 events.

that seems like the perfect skill to use when im dying in the aoe fields that kill me 99% of the time in this game. even the Olympics throws their hands in the air in salute of this new skill.

how about “hammertrain” = organized guild. “zerg” is a bunch of guilds and pugs which may contain a hammertrain, and “blob” is where a giant fat group forms that composes all of the players of that zone.

there is no reward for rushing in to save someone. you might as well wait and then get the xp res’ing their corpses.

yup theres a lot. easy fix tho, anet just needs to add strip all boon skills to the non-GWEN professions.

1. I find it hard to believe that bandwagoning will be rewarded this season. that seems so counter-productive. you might as well offer free server transfers to people the week before.

2. EoTM is going to earn anet a large helping of forum rage at the end of the season. all the people who completed the achievements there and walked off are going to get crap end rewards because the red servers are already starved of players and just karma training the keeps. we don’t hold any structures. we wont generate PPT.

3. I am already angrily grinding thru the ascended gear, why not help ease our suffering with an ascended weapon and not readily available accessories or a shiny weapon skin.

cant complain. SoR teams in Eotm even sent back this sweet supply crate for me to use in SoR BL. unfortunately since I was alone I couldn’t use it all, but hey its the thought that counts, right?

SoR is fine, no worries, we are all here working as hard as ever. heres a pic of our outstanding EB zerg capping overlook this morning

my only complaint is that its green vrs blue vrs red. faction should have been randomized on enter. that would have killed the blobs and set a semi-balanced activity level for everyone for the days ahead when only green players find themselves there.

its a giant hammer train racetrack for servers already winning in wvw. there is no reason for red or blue server players to go there as there is always actual wvw areas outnumbered to play in.

I encourage everyone to spend some time in the new zone and find the lynch pin areas that the pve players will need to go and camp them. kill the pve players so many times that living story wont return to wvw.

my condolences to his family, if they are reading this forum, will the rest of [iron] be having a funeral/moment of silence for him in wvw at some point?

812 wxp levels on ranger. 5 named exotics, no ascended. maybe you could toss an ascended weapon per 250 levels or so?

My guild was in the EotM beta. There’s an event which allows you to claim control of an airship, all of the players involved in the event can talk to the NPC involved get a device in their inventory that when double clicked calls in an air strike.

minimum 3 points of siege access seems pretty standard in the game, also so rangers everywhere could feel useful occasionally just by standing at the cat wall PBA’ing a dozen attackers off the cliff.

yes, it would make double teaming the weaker server much easier if you could just pick them out of the 3 way fight each time.

bg doesn’t need siege. they can pve a door down faster than what most lower tier servers can place 3 rams.

I make out just fine with my Mesmer. I spam glam skills on the zerg and then my dying clones affect those around them. its enough to fill the bags, but yes running Mesmer is a charity for most zergs as you portal ppl around way to much.

if I went to bed having capped and upgraded everything and then woke up the next day and still owned everything, I would be forced to play living story or spvpeen. neither of those appeals to me, so thank you night cap squad. you keep my bags full and my play time fun. raises beer

I would settle for the bow working properly when the invader walks past instead of you and your pet just standing there looking dull.

the numbers matter, you just don’t see it in the middle of your giant mob of players. if your a part of the scout/camp flip groups that % helps a lot. I get to play 2-3hrs a night, always in wvw. NSP isn’t very good at flipping keeps during my play time, so in the amount of time since ascended armor recipes have released im up to 2 dragonite bars…yup, that’s it.

a lot of professions can shred you in a very short amount of time, its how anet wants it apparently. my favorite to watch is the elementalists rain fire while in tornado form and clear walls.

he is on NSP and has never been banned.

the best way to defeat a thief is to report his location and stay just out of his line of sight thereby preventing any fights with your server. after about 20minutes of boredom he will move to another border. I like to add the good thieves to my friends list so I can keep track of them and ruin their fun.

Ironically, if NSP had tanked into Bronze league (every other server near the boundary of a league tanked) then we’d likely be seeing a revitalization of NSP’s WvW right now — that’s exactly what happened with HoD.

Its almost as if..
all the people on NSP who knew how WvW worked..

and tried to get into Bronze..
While the bads screamed for silver..

We didn’t even get a chance to “tank”, even if we wanted to. We lost 5 WvW guilds (including 2 very large guilds), countless commanders, and a number of independent ship-jumpers the Thursday before Leagues started. There was no way we belonged in Silver, yet we still somehow survived after 7 weeks of being farmed, and we’re beginning to rebuild now. Here’s to hoping NSP does the same, since I can’t help but sympathize with the only other server in Silver who could understand what it’s like to never see a WP in any of their keeps for 2 months.

We should reform our two servers into one server called the Isle of Shiverpeaks and take the WvW scene by storm.
Next time transfers are cheap/free? What do ya say?

purchase foods that reduce condition duration to help offset the conditions, that will help you keep your preferred build somewhat intact.

I truly am sorry for offending you. I know how hard it must be to play a ranger and forum warrior at the same time. After all you are basically useless in WvW. You shouldn’t let your POV of a bad player playing a bad class in WvW being the deciding factor in how unbalanced a class is. But this is the match-up thread so you should qq about this elsewhere.

I wasn’t offended brick, I was just good natured trolling your troll post when it happened, like we always do here. I have one of every profession in my stable. I just use ranger because its my favorite profession in any game. sure its terrible, but smokers gotta smoke, drinkers gotta drink, and I gotta play a ranger.
