Hold out a little longer. I have recently been banned and had my account reinstated. Judging by the replies I received from Support, they has closely looked at my case. Just remember to keep up to date with the 3 day ticket thread.

ANet want those who are innocent to get their accounts back, but it can take time. Don’t lose hope.

I can’t understand why Anet don’t put top priority in this issue if is obvious a mistake.

So many people banned for the 1 copper spam mail.

Please keep in mind that we are all merely theorizing that this is the issue. We have no solid evidence to support it. Don’t get too carried away now.

No one is being suspended or terminated for a 1 copper mail. If you received such an in-game mail and were suspended or terminated, that is coincidental. We wouldn’t take action on an account based on that single piece of evidence, and in fact it’s really not evidence of wrongdoing, as a player cannot control what mails come into his/her mailbox.

Phew, that’s good to know.

I now officially only have one theory about why I may have had my account terminated: Receiving mail from a friend whose account has since been compromised.

Things I haven’t done: Bought Gold, Sold Gold, Sold Items, Bought Items, assisted in RMT, engaged in RMT, given away my password, been hacked (have used a mobile authenticator since available), bought a fake serial key, used any third party programs, had multiple attempts at account breaching, breached another account, cheated, exploited, been a naughty boy.

Praying I make contact with support soon.

It seems strange to me that Anet do shoot first and ask questions later, let alone do so during limited time events, like Halloween. Luckily, I’ve only had login attempts from China, but as my account name is public the very moment I decide to contribute to these forums, I’m not surprised. At the very least, a better description for the infraction would be nice I think.

It seems like a better customer service plan would be to email people who are on the to-ban/suspend list ahead of time since it appears a lot of these seem to be erroneous. I’m not really sure what the strike first approach does that’s better. Is it to freeze gold seller’s assets?

Anet also might need to implement a simple approach to serial key additions for all the illegitimate CC purchases that seem to be taking place.

I have seen this argument of shoot first, ask subject come up time and time again. The simple fact of it is that this is the only way for them to wade through the sheer numbers of Rules of Conduct and Agreement breaches that they must get.

This is a free to play game, run by a small games company, not some monolith like Blizzard with call centres speaking 6 languages all around the globe. Yes, their support system is flawed, but if a thousand players break 1 rule, banning all of them and then finding the innocent ones is a better way of dealing with it than working through all 1000 bit by bit. The majority of them know they are doing wrong, and will not appeal. The innocents will appeal, and will, if truly innocent, get their account back.

I don’t like it either, but it is the best way. I’m innocent. I’ve done bugger all wrong. I think I’ve been banned because I have mailed things to a friend whose account may now have been compromised, so the automated system has terminated my account permanently. If that same automated system has also kept 999 botters, scammers and gold sellers out of the game, then ANet are doing their jobs.

I can’t comment on the serial number thing going around, cos I don’t see how the hell a gamestop, gamestation, game, zaavi, amazon or whatever can sell a fake serial. If you’re buying from your local boot market, then yeah (or stealing from the internets tut tut)

Would just to say, I’ve been banned for 4 days nearly, missed the halloween event, and have trolled these forums trying to work out what I could have done wrong ahead of time, so that when I do get to speak to support, I am useful to them and we get this sorted. My understanding of ANets support system is my own opinion, and possibly not how it is actually being run

And on a side note, over the last 4 days of watching these forums so closely, there are a hell of a lot of people on here that are clearly guilty, and that pisses me right off. Cos them being in the queue when they know the kittened up and holding me up from getting back into the game just aint fair.

This one has been 5 days, the 4, then 3. I would hazard a guess that it must all correspond to the approximated wait time of tickets being answered. If the wait is 5 days, there are more tickets, and when there are less tickets the wait time goes down.

Saint, I was told earlier today by someone on the forums that Gaile has already stated that the 1 copper trick that gold sellers have been playing, if you would call it that, is not banning people. I haven’t been able to find this post from her myself, so..

@Gaile Gray I know we’re not supposed to do call outs on the forums, and I’m sorry. But I’d like to know if this is true. I have also been banned for something I have no clue about, that you are calling real money trading. I will wait patiently for my ticket to move up in the queue (albiet crying myself to sleep every night from lack of Tyria), but I would like to know, is the taking of the 1 copper from a gold seller what could possibly have caused this permanent ban?

I don’t want to know how the system works, I just want to hear that it could be what has caused it. I have seen a lot of people worrying about what they have done wrong, and as you have said, many of these are quite possibly guilty. But I am not. I don’t cheat. Not my thing.
I know you are extremely busy seeing to people in front of us in the queue, but please.

Please give us something. I have met some seemingly wonderful people on these forums today, who are getting the same error message as me. We would love to hear something.

But maybe we must use Occam’s razor instead, and just say i have been hacked then thinking like “what did i wrong to get this”

By reading the forums, and with the help of Mexay and Tolunart I have managed to shrink my list down to those two options, hacked or friend hack and me associating myself with him through ingame mail.

Might be a good idea for you to do the same, help clear your head

I’m just saying Grim, I don’t think it helps to just rage. I mean, I was on another thread, and I think I may have found out why they think I’ve been real money trading. Through constructive discussion I may have worked out why I have been banned.

Being angry can go two ways for you. It can make you look angry, or it can make you look guilty. And looking guilty can’t be good, ya know?

If anything you’d want to flirt or sweet talk them. Calling them thieves or trying to lure them into retaliation to their claims isn’t gonna get a response. Or maybe it will. Just my two pence.

And Mexay, yeah, I’d like to know what they think I’ve done. Its the not knowing that is messing with me. Cos if I have kittened up, and lose my CE account, I can’t see myself wanting to reply the 2 months of gaming I’ve done. Its an awesome game, but working to what I’ve done so far all over again makes me feel a little ill.

I dont hope that mey keybord (logitech G19) and my mouse (logitech G700) are the problem.
They even support these keybords cause i have a GW2 screen display in my little lcd screen.
True …the keybord and mouse has macro functions, but i never used them for that, i only use them as extra keybind points(im a keybind player instead of a clicker)
So that my pinky uses buttons that normaly are out of reach for me like the 6 to 0 buttons

Me too. I have a microsoft sidewinder mouse and G15 keyboard. The mouse was on special and the keyboard lights up. Also, the keys are big, and I have big hands. I can’t imagine the problem being my peripherals somehow.

I agree completely with the title of this thread, I really do. A larger and more sophisticated support system for fixing these problems is needed. Having an online support ticket system clearing isn’t the best way to do this.
I cannot imagine a chinese gold farmer/account hacker who uses Google Translate picking up the phone to request why their account has been blocked.

All the same, getting angry, and insulting ANet, and accusing them of stealing your money etc isn’t helping anything. You’ll just get black marks against your name on their system for being abusive.

The fact of it is ANet is an incredible company, who make incredible games and offer an incredible service to their customers. Yes, their current system is not working as intended, possibly due to the sheer amount of players, innocent and not, using it. They could not have predicted the future pre release and seen that they would face this kind of problem. The game base has already grown way past their expectations.

Give them a break. Be constructive.

(And before people jump down my throat and slate the kitten out of me, I too have been affected by this. I haven’t been able to play for days, I’m worried that I may have done wrong my accident, I missed the halloween event, and I’m upset and annoyed and restless. The actual message that I’ve seen in screenshots is a little vague. I think it says something about “assisting” with RMT activities, which could mean a lot of things.

For example, I would imagine that they don’t actually read the text of messages sent between players, but have a record of attachments and sender/recipients available. It’s a bad idea to respond to gold seller emails, because it would look suspicious if there are several emails between yourself and known gold sellers, potentially even several replies if the gs emails you back.

As satisfying as it must be to tell these people where to put their kittens, you don’t want your username coming up in an investigation linked with several scammers via email. Even sending items or money to friends/guildies in game who are actually selling gold or engaging in other RMT activities like negotiating with a gold seller could raise suspicion, especially if you have also emailed the seller.

People have been yelling at Arenanet since the game opened to “do something” about the bots. Engaging in any activity that links you to botting is likely to get your account banned until you prove that you were present at the keyboard.

So, until things get sorted out with the game, do not engage in any activity related to RMTs or bots, including following, harassing, or contacting them. Do not use any outside software or hardware to modify the game or how you play it. Be careful about whom you associate with, and make sure your behavior in the game is open and honorable.

Mistakes happen, but getting angry and impatient is only going to hurt you in the long run.

Well, I am quite honourable in game I feel. I like to help people, and I’m not exceptional enough at the game to rage if someone did something wrong or anything like that. And as far as botting goes, I definitely have had nothing to do with any of that.

The one thing that has made my ears prick up though is what you’ve said about recieving mail from friends or guildies. A friend of mine started playing the game at release but fell out of love with it, and stopped playing. At the start of the game, if one of us found an item that would be useful to the others character, we would mail it.

When I opened my mail the day before I got banned, I was told my mailbox was full. I deleted the 5 gold spamming ones (the only gold spam I have had since release), and then looked further down the list and found some old items that he had sent me. I took them, and salvaged them. Now I am almost certain he has not been hacked, and he isn’t a hacker or anything like that. Just a regular joe who likes video games. He stopped playing the game because he didn’t like the non-linear end game GW2 offered, and for no other reason.

I think I will phone him, to see if his account is still active. He didn’t use any authentication software, and is his account has been hacked, that is something that could give legitimate reason to my banning on the side of ANet. Although the ingame mail was dated from probably a month or more ago, if his account has been compromised that would explain ANets reasons.

Others may have unintentionally engaged in behavior that led to the ban, such as using third party software that they successfully used with other MMOs and either think that Arenanet cannot detect the software or that it shouldn’t cause a problem.

Anyway, as frustrating as it is, Arenanet employees are not going to reverse a ban without a careful review of the situation because to do otherwise would only undermine ongoing efforts to control botting and cheating issues. And the sheer volume of bans that are beginning to take place will cause delays in this system.

I understand what you’re saying and whole heartedly agree, though there is of course many of us who have been wrongfully banned. Were it not the case, I honestly wouldn’t be wasting my time posting here, I’d be out getting drunk (woo!) and sleeping with beautiful women (haha, yeah right.)

But seriously though, ArenaNet did mess up the other week and I’m of the opinion that there was still something wrong with the system or someone has just been really lazy. It happens. The software goes through potentially hundreds and thousands of things per day and so do employees, what’s to say that the software or someone messes up or that it’s 5 o’clock and someone just wants to go home and they’re at the least 50 or so reports for the day and they just go “screw it” and ban them all, because that’s easier. It HAPPENS. I’m not exactly targeting any ArenaNet employee, but I honestly wouldn’t be surprised. Maybe I was meant to only receive a 72 hour ban for getting mad at someone and insulting them (Don’t lie. You all do it) and they accidentally made it a permanent one? Maybe when people were talking about Reddit and I said “Reddit is rubbish” someone reported me and it so happened to be an angry redditor who was viewing it? Who knows?

I’m just saying mess ups happen, like in my case and assuming their innocence (innocent until proven guilty, I say) everyone else’s.

If anyone reading this gets there account unbanned or something, would you mind posting? I’d like to have some hope.

I feel cheated, and I am upset by the fact that I could be waiting a week or more to be told that it was a mistake, and I can play now, having missed halloween and been scared that I may have kittened up and been banned and lost my account.
Or worse, that they deem me guilty, and won’t give me my account back. OR even worse, that they might refuse to tell me what it is that I have done wrong! That would tear me up inside.

Yeah, I do get that, but lets just say for arguments sake that I am completely innocent of any wrong doing, and I am just a blip in the system. I wouldn’t be in this situation had the reason for banning me been looked at in greater detail, as Gaile has posted on the forums. She has said that each case is looked at closely, but if you were in my shoes, I don’t think you’d believe that either. it upsets me that I am in some respects being treated like a criminal when I am completely innocent. This whole situation just feels so wrong >.<

Seriously though, seeing as ArenaNet wont tell us what’s going on, if I were to say “A visiting monkey was allowed to touch one of the computers and then he accidentally banned several accounts” it would be as likely as anything else. We simply don’t know.

Once I get my account back (which I will, knowing this has been a mistake), I will make a point of finding out how exactly this happened and I have the intention of letting others that are waiting know. Hopefully this kind of thing wont happen again.

I wil also do everything I can to help keep the rest of the community informed. So many of us seem to have been banned for something we can’t think that we may have done wrong. Whether this is a ban in the system, or a pissed off support worker, whatever, the community deserve to know.

The “attach one copper” thing has been going on for weeks, it’s a trick to get you to read the email because you can’t delete an email with attachments.

It’s already a known issue and accepting a single copper will NOT get your account banned, everyone who has played the game for more than a few hours has gotten multiple emails like this and there is no wave of 500,000 account bans for accepting coppers from RMTs.

I have personally gotten dozens of emails like this over a number of weeks and simply accept the “gift” copper and report/delete the email. Nothing has happened to me as a result. Something else is going on, and posting this kind of thing doesn’t help it only spreads panic among people who are already confused and don’t know any better.

If there is something going on that caused your account to appear to have been doing something shady, collect all the info that proves ownership of the account, cooperate fully with the investigation, and eventually it will be sorted out. They have been banning bots by the thousands and many of the humans behind these accounts are flooding the system with protests of innocence to delay the system and hope that overworked and inattentive staff will reverse the bans without looking too closely at the issue.

Unfortunately because of this the occasional innocent who got caught up in the bans somehow will have to wait longer because those who were rightfully banned are clogging up the system.

As a general rule, do not ever have any kind of contact with bots or gold scammers. Do not follow the bots or engage in behavior that mimics them, do not reply to emails from scammers or go to their websites. Just report them and move on.

Firstly, if I haven’t been banned for the 1 copper thing then I’m lost. Also, ‘everyone who has played the game for more than a few hours has got multiple emails like this’ is completely incorrect and over-exaggerated, as I have played at least 4 days of the week on evenings a weekends since the day of pre purchase began, and these were the first emails of this sort I had ever got. I don’t visit LA much, which might be why I have only just got them.

Like I said, if it isn’t the one copper thing, then I haven’t got a clue what I have done. Unless I have been hacked and something has been done on my account between me logging off the night before and logging in the next day. I doubt this is the case though, as I use the mobile authenticator.

So if it isn’t the 1 copper thing, I have banned for no reason known to me.

What you have said about the cooperating with the investigation, I have provided everything they have asked for and more. I have been polite, and I am currently being patient.

And the part about the botters, this makes a lot of sense, and frustrates me thoroughly. /rage

I totally agree with you and feel exactly the same. It’s understandable that mistakes and such happen, but it feels like we’re almost being ignored. Tomorrow will be my fifth day of waiting. The worst thing is that we wont receive compensation or any real form of apology.

I understand that some people here have actually done something wrong, but there are a fair amount of us that have been legitimately banned. They’ve said that there is 24/7/365 support, but I find that hard to believe. That or I’m being ignored.

I just want to play the game that I love, I haven’t done anything to warrant this treatment and nor have most people here. It’s disrespectful to customers.

If they had telephone support, this would have taken 5 – 10 minutes tops to sort out.

That’s it though. Unfortunately ANet is a small company who run a free to play game. They aren’t in the league of, lets say, Blizzard, whose customer service systems are huge and very well thought out. ANet do not have the resources to offer a system like that, and I get that. I don’t expect to be able to phone up, get my call answered within 30 seconds on ringing, and sort everything out. In that sense I’m not being unreasonable.

I am perhaps being unreasonable expecting a response by now. Unlike yourself, I have been waiting only 2 and a half days for a reply to my ticket. But I am worried (and rightfully so) when I see people who have been waiting 5, 7, even 10 days for a reply. And people who have got replies that have been standardised messages just telling them that they have done wrong.

That is worrying me greatly, because despite what people on these forums are saying about ANet ‘not caring about their customers’ and such, they are dead wrong. ANet are an excellent company, and they have set up some excellent tools for talking to their customers, such as the forums and their social media use. But the support system? This is abysmal.

Players are being ignored, and ANet are either ignoring their complaints about such mistreatment, or they are in denial that their system is not working. Or, possibly, they are in the process of fixing this issue and trying to correct it. But normally, if they were doing such a thing, they would let the community know with a simple forum post or announcement. This is unlike them.

I know some people here are guilty, and have kittened up, or broken the rules. But I am not. A little communication here would go a long way.

Could be what triggered it.

I’m assuming it works on a flag based system. Your account will be “flagged” for doing a certain thing. I.e. Attempting to open GW2.exe via something else or accepting any item from a compromised account. These would set up an Automation flag and a Gold Buying/Selling/Trading/RMT flag. My guess is that someone felt lazy one day and just clicked “ban” or whatever the equivalent is without actually looking at it.

So whether it’s 1c, 1g or 100g, it would flag your account for investigation. Who knows, maybe there was a bug and it didn’t send the correct information and it appeared as 1000000g? Though, based on what is STILL being advertised in game by Gold Sellers (funny that?) that would be ridiculous sums of money and I doubt that much even exists in game yet. Similarly, if the account is being flagged and it’s showing as 1c AND we’re being banned for it, that would be a ridiculously SMALL amount of money. Why are legitimate players being banned and yet gold sellers aren’t?

Just feel cheated. I don’t hack, or piss about with the game or third part stuff or anything. Yet here I am locked out of the game that I love. It’s just not right, ya know?

Either some jobsworth at support has just walloped me with the ban hammer without properly looking, in which case /rage, or the system is flawed and it hasn’t been admitted by ANet, whih is also pretty annoying.

And the lack of posts on this thread, and especially the 3 day review thread at the moment is just scary. People waiting 10 days?! I don’t think I’ll be able to wait that long before I have to write a strongly worded letter to ANet offices. Cos it’s just not write.

The 1 copper thing? I think that is what has happened to me.

What annoys me is that ANet say they look at each and every case of permanent banning very closely, but if they are seeing people are getting tricked into taking a copper from the mail surely they wouldn’t ban them, but instead issue an announcement or warning via ingame mail about taking money from gold sellers?
It seems to me that they have an automated system in place where they find the seller on the hacked or own account, and anyone who has traded via ingame mail with them then gets banned which isn’t right.
I could have sworn I pressed return to sender on the mail with 1 copper, but now I’m paranoid that I didn’t…. I missed the bloody halloween event for 1 copper =( Not to mention the 120 quid spent on the collectors edition… I feel so cheated…

I made this ticket this morning (27/10/2012) after logging in to find that my account has been terminated for engaging with or assisting in gold or item sales for real world money. It tells me this action is permanent. I bloody well hope not, as I have done nothing wrong at all in the way of gold or item sales.

I have seen some other posts listing reasons why innocent people (those who do not RMT or bot) have been banned, and I have done none of them. These are:

Using another persons credit card (mother, girlfriend, brother) for the purchasing of gems from the Black Lion trading Post. I have not done this, as I haven’t bought any gems yet. With so much of the game to see, I haven’t felt the need for anything the gemstore offers.

Using a third party program with the game. I don’t even know what this means, I can only presume it is botting or some such nonsense that goes way over my head. Not my thing, haven’t done it, will never do it.

Buying the game from an unofficial source. Well, I can assure ANet that I have an official version of the game. I haz pics. I bought my Collectors Edition on Pre Purchase release day from Zaavi (As I live in the UK they were one of the only companies stocking it that ANet listed).

Buying gold from a third party or anyone for that matter. No thanks, never been big on the idea of using my hard earned money in a game for a pretend currency anyway, let alone if it meant I would be risking my account (A Collectors Edition account, that I spent 120 quid on, come on, what kind of idiot do you think I am?!).

Real Money Trading. Now I don’t quite know what RMT means, people have been throwing the term around a a lot. I guess it is probably gold to gem or gem to gold related, or just about buying gold. Anyway, I haven’t done it.

Have I been hacked and someone done something illegal? I doubt it. I use the mobile authenticator, I use my email and a unique password. I highly doubt I’ve been hacked.

The only thing I can think that has happened in the last few days, happened on Friday night (26/10/2012). On the Thursday (25/10) I entered Lions Arch, which I don’t often do, to use the Mystic Forge on some staffs rare staffs I had in hope of getting an exotic (I did, yay). After about 15 minutes in LA I left, and went back to Straights of Devastation or Leap of Melachor, where I was exploring (87% world explored now). Logged out.
Last night when I logged in my mailbox was full. I has 4 or 5 mail from gold sellers. Woo. I clicked each one and reported it as gold selling using the little icon in the bottom left. One of them had 1 copper attached. This is where I’m not sure what I did completely, but after trying to return to sender with about a dozen furious click I closed the mail panel. I may have taken the copper though. I don’t think I did.

So, either in game mailing a gold seller, or accepting a copper from a gold seller, has got me permanently banned from the game I love. Total kit…rubbish.
hell, it might be something else that I have done, but I have no clue. I’m a casual player due to being really busy with work and seeing my girlfriend when I can. I’m a bit of an ANet fanboy. I’ve been following the development of the game for years, and have the hardback art book, CE of the game, even the hard back strategy guide for the shiny pictures. Hell, my girlfriend crochets me a Zojja doll for my birthday. I love the GW Universe. I feel like I’ve been done over here.

ANet tell me on their support section that each and every breach of the User Agreement and Rules of Conduct is looked at very closely, but I feel like the victim of an automated system, where me doing something with in game mail has pinged on a computer screen, and it has just banned me on the spot. If someone had actually sat there and looked at the situation (the situation being one of the mail related ones I have listed), they would see that I haven’t done wrong. I love this game, and I want itto work, and for everyone to enjoy it, so I understand that I have been banned for x or y for the good of the in game community, but it doesn’t feel like much thought has gone into it. And now, I’m gonna miss the Halloween event. Bad times.

I have seen posts on other threads, with red posts, saying that the majority of posts from people on the forums talking about their accounts getting hacked are in fact guilty. I feel innocent, and I’m sure I have done nothing wrong.

A red post would go a long way here to make me feel a bit more safe in the fact that (and this is a quote) I am likely, judging by my testimony here, ‘a rare false-positive’

So far I have played and near-completed two personal story lines; Sylvari Necro and Asura Mesmer, and the content has been challenging, but never too hard to complete. At times I’ve realised I have gone a bit ‘roflnormalMMOcombatstyle’ and died, so when I go back to do it again I have been more strategic, used my dodges and heals more tactically, and finished them fine.
I intend to play as many story lines as I can over the years I will likely play this game for, so maybe I’ll never see any bugs etc., as they’ll be fixed. But the OP says difficulty. I haven’t found the difficultly to be past my casual gamer level of skill. Is it possible that people just aren’t grasping this new kind of MMO combat style? Where movement, dodging and LoS mean a hell of a lot?
Edit: And I haven’t actually had a chance to do a story quest with a friend yet, but I do intend to level a character with my girlfriend soon and complete the personal stories together.

I’ll be honest, I have been following the forums and all of the complaints people have about Necromancer since release. Necros have some issues that really need to be fixed, but I didn’t find the class unplayable until yesterday unfortunately.

I am a casual gamer (with a time consuming job and even more time consuming girlfriend) and have been levelling my Necro since release. I am 80% world completion now, just casually playing in the evening and on some weekends, doing each zone as it comes in order of level. I have loved playing my Necro, (when I played MM I didn’t as much), but with my wells/condition type build I love it. I can kill 7 mobs-ish without losing any health, and just staying on one spot.

It wasn’t until I arrived in Frostgorge Sound yesterday that this all changed. I was met with a beautiful looking zone, with lots to do an explore, and groups of about 40 peoples running around together zerging everything.

Now, zerging isn’t my thing at all. I don’t find it fun or entertaining at all, least of all on a Necro. So I ran away from them, and continued to avoid as many zerg groups as I could to be best of my ability (I mean kitten they are fricking everywhere! Why do people find that fun? getting one auto attack on a mob before it dies.)

Anyway! I was out on my own, in a chasm type area. I ran into players occasionally, and I started paying attention to what they were doing. Where it takes me 30 seconds to kill mobs, Warriors, Mesmers, Thiefs, Rangers, Guardians, were spending about 10 seconds at a mob before it was on its kitten

I’m not a brilliant gamer, but I’m not stupid. I can throw everything at a mob and can’t kill it anywhere near that quickly. Something is out of sync here. I know I play a survival profession supposedly, but I also see Guardians standing with 10 mobs around them and killing them faster than me.

So, to OP, yes, I feel after yesterday in Frostgorge Sound I will also be taking a break from my Necro. I feel sick thinking about how much more I could be enjoying the game if I had picked another profession.

I will still play my Necro, just not for a week or two. I still enjoy it for the most part. I want to try out a Warrior, Guardian, see how they play.

It really does. Very careful use of Consume Conditions is needed. And we had a Guardian throwing down all sorts of blue kitten too, which I’m sure helped. (I don’t play a Guardian :P)

Thank you all for the advice. Went along with what Arvid suggested in the end and went all out, ignoring the fact that he heals from conditions. It went smooth as, well, for me at least. ‘PuG why u no dodge?!’ comes to mind.

As a start, I am a casual player who hasn’t seen all te PvE content the game has to offer yet, I’m just looking for some advice or information.

I was in Sorrows Embrace last night with a PuG, and rolling with what I see as a good all round build with Scepter/Dagger and Staff, and when we reached the last boss we got stuck on the second Golem he summons. It purges condition to heal, which mean’t as I currently was I had very few attacks I could use without applying conditions.
The group fell to pieces after a few attempts and I went to bed. But I would obviously like to go back and do it again, so I’m just wondering if anyone else has encountered anything similar to this and has come up with a build or good strategy for a fight like this.

There is already a stickied list of bugs, and they do read the forums even if they don’t respond to all of them. I personally think they haven’t done anything with the necro yet is because they are planning a BIG change for them with one patch

He did indeed say in the thread he sticked that it would be a week or more to get everything sorted. Fixes are coming.

For one, Jon can see us fine. He has stickied a thread acknowledging all the bugs.
Secondly, our damage and survivability are good, in PvP and PvE.

If necro isn’t what you expected it to be, reroll. It is a fun profession to play, it is just not as easy to be good at as Thief, Warrior etc.

As far as class balance in PvP goes, I can’t comment, as I have not levelled them all. But I know that I can hold my own in PvP and PvE without too much trouble, and have fun doing so (and I am no hardcore gamer).

Sorry if some of my comments seem harsh, but seriously, more than half f the necro forum just seems to be pointless and annoying QQ posts. The lack of more constructive feedback makes me sad.
