As a primarily homeland commander I love this new siege disabler. It is one of THE ONLY things Anet has given us defenders that truly helps. Defenders get less, loot, less love, less karma, less xp. These are the first truly helpful thing we have gotten.

When they were first announced I was in a panic because I thought all my siege on walls would be useless and that it would be really hard to defend. While I admit it has been a challenge to siege up a keep or tower (I still haven’t fully had a chance to figure it out yet) these siege disablers have allowed me and the other homelanders hold towers/keeps long enough for extra hands to arrive. I know if makes offense harder, but they gave you guys the bannering the lord which made a defenders job harder they also gave offensive teams Gollie trait line which also makes a defenders job harder. So all in all I’d say defenders still got the short end of the stick and this trap is one of the few things we have.

Bottom line we must find a way to work with these in the game. Don’t change them.

I love how people who aren’t on FSP continue to talk like they know what FSP is doing. If you want to know what FSP is doing ask someone who is on FSP. But, to respond to the post here. FSP is doing nothing. No plans on purposely dropping, not worried about placement we will be where we will be. That being said the night crew is not working very hard this week due to the upcoming season. But not because of glicko rating. I don’t know what our EU division both in guild and server are doing as I don’t play those hours. We play when and where we want. We (FSP server) do a bit of everything when we do play. The season will be stressful enough without us busting our kitttens this week.

Trust me when I say [NUDE] is a totally unique guild!

Formally Naked N Drunk [NUDE], now Beige [NUDE], due to a brilliant creative name change by Anet, is now recruiting on the Far Shiverpeaks server!

We are originally an American guild that came to the EU server, Far Shiverpeaks over 9 months ago. We all know that many things can happen in 9 months, and many things have happened for our guild. We have grown, we have expanded to more than just Americans, and most of us have at least once gotten drunk in Teamspeak and and made a fool of ourselves.

Currently, we are known as the “night crew” of FSP. We border hop, we have crazy parties in TS, and we kill kitten. We are also currently expanding to our EU and Oceanic time zones, so that at all times of the day, we do have people on borderlands and in our Teamspeak channel. For example, our current roster on the weekends will vary from 15-30 players online and on a weeknight (NA timezone) 10-20. As for EU prime time it will be anywhere from 5-10 players, perfect for making a small roaming group.

Another thing, and you may have heard, we are famous for our defense of home borderland. You will NOT find another guild that is as obsessed about having our home border 100% ours, upgraded, sieged, and defended. With that said, we also specialize and train up small havoc groups to send to other borderlands to raise our PPT and “distract” the enemy. We are RARELY on EB, unless it is late night and we need to defend it. We are a specialized borderland map WvW guild and we are good at what we do on these borders.

We offer various commanders to our server. We have specialized defensive commanders. We have havoc commanders, and we have roaming commanders. We also offer our guild mates commander training in what you would like to specialize in. We DO NOT have zerg busting commanders and we do not play that way. We play for PPT. Small scale and tower/keep defense is our thing. That means we welcome any and all pugs to follow our commanders.

We do offer weekly guild missions, a custom guild arena, and a “PvE” day for people who insist on doing that. Our guild upgrades that are important are constantly available: +5 supply, 10% magic find, 10% gathering, etc..

[NUDE] requires that you use the FSP public teamspeak. We do have our own channel and we use it, we welcome anyone to come party in our TS channel! We also use the public WvW channels for most events. Since we use teamspeak, and we have people who play this game for the social aspect as well as WvW, we are a close group and very very SOCIAL. Don’t be surprised if you join and 2 months later we know all of your deepest darkest secrets We support each other ingame and in real life, we throw birthday parties and send each other get well gifts. We have a very active guild forum and a facebook group that is used almost daily.

Instead of just getting bags and random gear, why not add a very rare chance to get an item from your opponent inventory on a WvW kill in order to add an interesting anticipation aspect to the complete randomization of loot.

That chance could be affected by magic find and be around 1/1000 at 0% magic find, 1/333 at 300% mf.

Obviously legendaries and precursors could be excluded from the list, or the chance to get those items could also be a % of the overall %.

NO!! I had this in another game. This would alter the intent of GW2 to make this less of a money sink or time sink game. Please do not do this!

We do understand Canadians hate picking fights with other countries, but surely there are some of you just itching to start a fight somewhere? Well EU servers are the best place to pick fights with other countries! We got them all, just wait we will be matched up with one you have had your eye on eventually. Our Americans ask “Can you please bring us some of that poutine we keep hearing about?”

Why should you leave your NA server and come to FSP?

Are you having a hard time standing out in the crowd of many on NA servers? Want to get more recognition for your contributions to the server? Well as an Canadian guild on a EU server you will get that! You’ll get the recognition you deserve for your contributions to the server here at FSP!

Be aware that there is no difference in lag or latency when playing on an EU server. Some of us have even gotten “less” lag being here.

From personal experience, and to be blunt, Euro servers are home to less trolls than NA servers. Map chat is usually clean and friendly and everyone gets along and works together. Which everyone know Canadians are some of the nicest folks there are, why not meet some more nice folks on FSP.

What we are looking for

We are looking for guilds to help shore up our NA time period. Specifically, we are looking for about 1 or 2 guilds of 10-20 men and women. We already have 1 American guild here who would like to meet new people and have a few more to play with at night, with a Canadian guild to help we could make FSP better. Our American guild tends to be borderland focused and try their best to defend homelands. They do a lot of map hopping at night and would like to have 1-2 other NA guilds to be able to have a bit of fun in their time slot.

1. We would like to have one guild who likes to focus EB as our current NA guild prefers to run havoc on enemy borders and defend home border. EB will offer said team lots of fights as well as excellent open field fighting and karma training (lots of karma training on an easy match). You will find that FSP tends to have almost all of their EB T3 most of the time. We have several players who make it their #1 priority to see that EB is T3.

2. A second guild who is similar to the current American team we have. One that likes defending when needed but likes to pressure the enemy BL’s as well. However, a zerg busting guild would be nice to have in this time slot, that we can call for defensive help on a whim.

3. Any and all guilds that come we would request that you remain positive at all times as we find we get better results with players when we are positive. The also makes for a more harmonious community. Our current American guild loves having fun and can be a bit wild at times, they tend not to take things too seriously so we would like people who can work with that. We DO NOT condone trolling fellow FSP players or map chat.

Pacific and Mountain time zones would be a bonus. Our current American guild is mostly Eastern and Central time. So any guild that plays the west coast time means we extend the coverage hours.

What FSP Offers

FSP is a warm and welcoming place. We have a wonderful community that would be very welcoming to guilds that play in the NA time period.

I don’t think they are going to do free transfers I maybe wrong though. They are leaving transfers open throughout the season as well as eliminating the penalty they had in place before when you transferred so my guess would be no.

Since Spvp is cross server and PvE is mega server or whatever that is that leaves WvW.

What is an active good server for WvW with very high population that would be good to join for EU.

IF you are NA time player there is no “BLOB” on FSP, as others mention here. I do not know what happens during EU prime time on FSP as I do not play those times often if at all.

There is a lot of misinformation going around about FSP’s population. I cannot speak for EU timezone players I only know they say they aren’t really recruiting in that time period.

I do know we are recruiting NA timezone players and Oceanic/SEA players. Bottom line listen to people who actually play on a server you are looking at not people from other servers, that have no clue what FSP is really like as an FSP player.

We have good EU prime time coverage. We have a decent NA crew (could use a bit more here too) What we lack is the Oceanic/SEA coverage. Which means you would need to be able to handle server related issues, and be willing to run the Oceanic/SEA time zone. This means further recruitment would need to be from your end. And also communication with other timezone people to ensure server success.

While I agree with the overall point he (Filovirus.6258) was making. I do not agree with his delivery of said message.

WvW ranks mean absolutely nothing. Why? Because first of all you can buy ranks in WvW. So your rank doesn’t mean you actually did anything in WvW. Secondly, Scouts, siege builders/refreshers, and defenders get far less WvW Xp than others it doesn’t mean they aren’t just as good as the high level guy just different play style.

The colored tags are a step in the right direction. As far as setting oneself apart as a Veteran Commander, you server regulars should know who you are. If you can’t get them to follow you on a somewhat regular basis I would evaluate your commanding tactics. People are going to follow the ones they know and trust. So work on that to get them to follow.

I wouldn’t call FSP a "bandwagon. The only NEW guilds here mostly came with RIOT from bronze. RIOT I might add was returning to FSP not bandwagoning. As far as the total numbers that came it wasn’t a huge influx (let’s not forget these were bronze guilds much smaller over all). So far I am enjoying all of them though they have been an asset to the “COMMUNITY” of FSP. Truly, we don’t want to be a bandwagon. So please don’t make us a bandwagon server. We want people who want to have a good time, remember this is a game, and no drama (save that for your mama). We truly just want people who want to make a home here not come in mess everything up and leave.

RiOT was fielding over 20/25 people regularily during season, and got even more people when FRS collapsed, and 3+ other 20 man guilds from Bt transfered with them (or just after), and there was transferts from other servers too (guilds the same size, at least 2/3 more).

Adding up it’s above 100 players when they raid, it’s bandwagoning, and it’s the reason why FSP went up so much so fast while they were mostly going down before that bandwagon….

FSP wanting or not to be a bandwagon server has no bearing, it IS a bandwagon server right now, like Bt/Gandara and a few others last season, like RoS during S1 and so on.

Erm, you earned 6/7 places since the Bandwagon started… just that proves my point (your rise started EXACTLY when the first guilds started pouring in on your server btw).

From that point forward, you stopped being destroyed during prime/evening and got more people during the night too, wich is what allowed to stop being distanced often during prime, on top of allowing you to outlast your opponents with more active people late evening/night, allowing you to tick higher during night (wich is where you points comes from).

Like all servers with a night crew and not much on the other side, the server going to bed the last has the best ticks during night, because it’s harder to flip things with no/low numbers and easier to defend them…..

And “surprise” most of the guilds that came from Bt and other servers are filling up mostly the… late evening/night shifts.

Yeah totally nothing to do with your server’s current performance, around 100+ active players in those shifts transfering to your server had NO impact at all, you were losing (big time) before, you didn’t stand up during prime and didn’t fare that well at night, they came in to reinforce you there and you went up, but no link at all.

Once again, like it or not, FSP is one of the biggest Bandwagon servers right now, and it might even stay that way for season if there isn’t free transferts/change of transferts prices.

I’m considering joining at the moment, although I’d have to buy a server transfer first. I’m currently based on Fissure of Woe and used to do a lot of WvW, also as a Commander, but since the migration of my old WvW guild and no new guild to take it’s place, WvW is now basically dead content on FoW.

Because of that I don’t really see a problem with transferring so expect me to be on FSP sooner than later.
