A brief lookover of my post history would reveal that i am an avid warrior player, its all i’ve been playing in this game. My warrior and all his builds, from all in rifle burst, to dull shoutbow- even duel mace.

I was astonished when i played thief for the first time today with d/p.

First off it took a bit of getting used to not having weapon cool-downs. It was awesome. I could just sit there and spam heartseeker as if its an i-win button, my only counter being endure pain skills.

I didn’t really worry about the bow too much, it seems like a weak weapon but the mobility of it is INSANE- endless supply of blink? Thank you very much!

My invisibility skills felt like cheating. Heck- the moment i felt threatened id just throw down a shadow refuge and it was amazing how many people would give up looking for me.

TBH the damage output here is what i’ve been trying to push out of warrior for some time now- rifle burst pushing the limits but being insanely unreliable. But this? This is crazy, i feel like i just started playing a 1up profession. It’s my first day with it, and already i’m scoring top 3 on my team several games in a row.

Hard to play? Not really- i could work on some timings and cooldowns but tbh the overall survival mechanics and reliance of cooldowns on my warrior made that WAY harder than this profession.

I wouldn’t say Shortbow is useless, It’s used more for range aoe/poison on downed

players to slow revives on the other team etc. You can also use it to kite while you’re

low on initiative. And Heartseeker spam is TRASH, never use it unless your foe is below

20-30% health (and even then only use it once or twice.). Use backstabs, they’re way more effective.

Anyone else think it would be nice to be able to craft superior siege via mystic forge 10 at a time, instead of 1 by 1? Sort of like mystic clover recipes.

thieves don’t 1v1 in team matches, it’s not because they can’t win
it’s because there is no point.
Ele will cap the point and keep it while the fight last forever.

I’m confused what you mean? I win 1vs3’s on my Thief who runs D/D and SB . . . . Thieves are really amazing. You just need to learn how to use your dodges, when to push and when to stay stealthed. etc.

You will lose quite alot of damage using traveler runes instead of i.e. pack or ogre.
Id suggest either traiting thrill of the crime or use the signet of shadows.

With hidden killer maybe change more gear into valkyrie?

I use Traveler runes on my Thief. I run D/D and I hit around 6-8k on a backstab vs full

zerkers. I find the 24/7 speed boost pretty helpful when roaming in WvW. I use pack runes in PvP.

I’m hoping for either Rifle or melee-Staff.

Shocking…. “The Dreamer” got no update . . . . . . I really wish we had a effect when I first draw the weapon. (Like quip has the purple mist float around your character)

I am looking for a new set of armor for my Male Human Thief, I’m looking to go for a Dark Assassin look. I use The Dreamer (I know The Dreamer doesn’t match the look I’m going for) and soon to have Incinerator. Please post pictures, an a description of the armor type.

I know a easy way to fix this: While invisible, your foes can NOT see the flying Ponies shooting from your Shortbow.

Hello, I have 2 Nvidia GTX 760’s 1.5gb of VRam. I’m not noticing any performance boost with both cards active. My question is, does GW2 support SLI and does it maximize SLI performance?

I agree, the lag spikes in WvW have gotten really bad! It’s impossible to play efficiently.

So I’m 100 Molten and Destroyer Lodestones away from finishing the Gift of Incinerator. What would be the best way to get them? I’m willing to buy and farm for them.

Found it – Repaired – and still the same problem. . . . I’ll have to start a support ticket I guess.

whenever I’m in a party, the player images start flashing? Why is this? Hardware shouldn’t be the problem I’m running 2 Nvidia 760 SLI enabled, 16 gigs of RAM, 3tb HDD, 256GB SSD, 3.70 processor 4 cores, Windows 8.1.

IMHO the best way to level the fastest is the best way to miss: all the stunning scenery and graphics all around you, deeply imbedded lore that can give true meaning to your characters growth, game interaction with NPC’s, knowledge of the world, connections with all the local areas that you can assist with all of the problems affecting them, interactive learning of how your skill mastery can enhance your game play at higher and highest levels, accumulation of wealth needed at higher levels, accumulation of skill needed at higher levels, accumulation of materials needed at higher levels, the required knowledge of combat interaction to boost a solo or group effort to victory, the ability to make rote the ability to use specific combos at the right time to complete an objective, the ability to enjoy the simple things in RL because you have to “grind Gold”, and so much more.
Why try to get to the end game content when you are in the end game. It does not get much better than where you are right now, enjoy the ride as there is no destination.

I actually have a 100% map completion character, and around 5 (a total of 14 characters all level 80 except 2.) that are 40+%. I have seen all of the scenery in the game (Yes it is beautiful), and have done all the story missions an all the new and old LS missions. I’m pretty much trying to get my 2nd Guardian to level 80 as fast and easy as possible, after leveling 12 other character’s to level 80, It’s getting old XD!

What is currently the Best way to level the fastest?

I understand why Arenanet did this. I just don’t understand why we don’t get a title for having atleast 1 legendary?

So I saw a Title Twice-Told Legend was added to make the People who spent Money/time on 2 legendary’s before the Wardrobe was added, happy. etc….

Now my problem is, why don’t we get a title for getting 1 legendary? We have to get 2 of the same type to be worthy of a title??? I’m not worthy of a Title for crafting 1 legendary?

Sounds interesting. I would use this for sure if it where to ever be implemented. Maybe thieves could you Longbow? It be slower than a Shortbow, but it would give you better range, and maybe cripple/knockback options?
