elementalists used to beat me easy at one vs one i dont know what happened lately and i beat them most times. i actually stopped chasing them to kill them anymore , fair play to eles.
guardian here.
maybe try healing build? might be good.

as a returning player i want to say congratulations for the changes ive seen so far,
world dragons are tougher now and crafting ascended gear is kind of difficult task that is giving us something to aim for than be gear capped and stay in lions arch.
from what i see the game is heading towards a more epic road.
thank you for making the game more amazing than it already was.

seriously consider reducing the amount of clones and pets classes have
i love how dull it is to want to play spvp with 4 enemy mesmers filling the screen with 12 clones
and necros having 8 pets each one
1-2 pets maximum for every class,
we want to fight players not there pets
its propably the only mmo that pets are actually more than the people in the battle

Seriously though, sPvP (not tPvP) wise, I’ve killed guardian with p/d condi bleeds… um their a bit of a pain but usually either I kill them because I can (and they suck) or because they give up trying to survive (long+boring fight). Sometimes I disengage and ditch them cuz it’s pointless…
for you it might seem pointless,
other thieves might chase you to the other side of the map trying to kill you.
warrior might be a good idea since guardian cant really hit stuff properly.
im back to my tanky build already, a lot times better than trying to deal damage.

as far as i know killing an average thief is almost impossible.
either you kill him or none dies.
thats why thieves are op.Valid point, the neverending health guardian can’t kill me… (or at least I haven’t died to one yet)
But their high defense makes it all the more of a challenging fight.
cause we cant really run anything else than tanky builds,
i tried damage/support build with 2k toughness and 18k health and one backstab reduced my health to the one third ,
back to shield and full toughness cause otherwise wvw is unplayable.
guardians bet is to survive and find a safe spot
thiefs bet is to kill or just hide when he sees more danger

my guild is AoA we play at average to small groups and we do pretty good when we have an event.
my guild is AoA and we always run away when see SPRT raid lol
im just an AoA member if you wanna qq about our tactics those dont depend on me

how is this matchup fair ?What is name of your guild ? How big is your group? I hope you are not a blob member
my guild is AoA we play at average to small groups and we do pretty good when we have an event.
but 2-3 small to average guilds dont resemble a whole server.
PS needs bigger servers to face this whole thing was overkill and the match up was unfair.

if Piken Square is overrated, or if your server is underrated, now is your chance to steal some points from a higher-rated server.
if Piken Square has the correct rating, and your server also has the correct rating, then a match like this is necessary from time to time to confirm that the size of the ratings gap between your two servers is still correct.
you shouldn’t have to go against them very often, but you should expect to fight them occasionally. the probability of PS/FSP/DL getting matched together is less than 1%.

i dont think PS is overrated they have good players but they cant get any chance to shine in this situation everything looks like a zerg fest.
anyway they locked is in a cage with a lion.
going to make some dungeons now until this insanity is over ^^.
