The people who farm keys actually put some “braindead zombie” effort into this.
They do not “abuse” anything, anet have stated that they have no problems with people farming keys.

Arrow keys perhaps? I do. There are plenty of other keys on the keyboard to use for movement beside the w, s, a and d keys. Actually, you would probably be surprised by how many gamers use keys other than w, s, a and d for movement in all types of games. Those keys just became the default a long time ago back when games didn’t really even have customizable key bindings or mouse functions, which meant the left hand was really for movement from the left side of the keyboard and the right hand was for other actions on the right side of the keyboard. It is not the dark ages of gaming any longer and we have the ability to use keys other than the ones we were forced to use in the past. We’ve evolved past w, s, a and d for movement.

The reason wasd is used as much as it is, is because the placement. It’s the best place for the sake of your hands health
Arrow keys I can’t imagine beeing very comfortable for me. Since you have to sit with your hands so close to eachother, unless you move your keyboard to the left, but that would be pretty stupid, and limit having many keys, unless you like to move your hands alot.
I have many of times rebound wasd, but only if I had problems with a sticky or broken wasd key

Yes, this item isn’t for us. It’s for China. The time to introduce this was BEFORE ascended crafting, not months after. Why the hell would I spend 10 dollars to get this thing after I’ve already gotten to 500 crafting in all the appropriate disciplines? I know I’m atypical, but I have to imagine that most people have already gotten to level 500 in the crafts they want, if they’re at all interested in ascended gear.

Still haven’t bothered crafting to 500 yet, have been lucky to get lots of armor drops and 1 weapon drop thou with stats I can actually use
But think it won’t be long before I start lvling one prof, just to get rid of those kitten mats, so I don’t have to destroy them every single time.

I have my AoE loot bound to “L”. It made more sense to me to bind it to a different key than the Interact “F”, because it was a different action. I wasn’t sure why they didn’t have it bound to a new key in the first place. F to talk to someone or interact with an item, L to grab loot. shrug

DO NOT TRY THIS METHOD ANYMORE, IT WON’T WORK.
I can’t really understand how they could prioritize this? Many people still haven’t gotten their wvw chests afaik. With all the bugs in the game it seems weird to work on one that a big part of the playerbase actually enjoy.
This was a really cool “feature” that gave some more depth to the weapons.
I really hope the reason you removed this was because you are working on more nightime effects for weapons. Many of us clearly want this , make it happen!

Tbh Anet needs to give a lot more love to staff skins. We need more special effects too. There’s too much fiery effects and not enough of the others like water or lightning.

It would be so awesome, cause we are really limited in songs to play as of now.
It would require a lot of work ofc. It probably wouldn’t work to well with just the number keys, since well .. there isn’t enough 8D ..
If we compare with a piano then maybe the Q – I could work as 1-8 keys does now, and above the number keys could have the black notes placed above in same spot as on a piano. Since you don’t use Q – I when playing anyway, unless you like to run around while playing xD
I know there probably isn’t that big demand for this, but I might aswel give it a shot.
If it ever was made thought it would probably be a good idea to have both functions to choose from, since I can imagine a lot of people would prefer the simple design.

EASY.

1st place = 3 weapons

5th place = 2 weapons

9th place = 1 weapon

“OMG everyone will have a LOT of weapons” = it happens twice per year AT MOST. Most professions require 8 weapons or MORE. Not to mention how the NEXT championships could offer a way to upgrade the weapons to ASCENDED for a lot of tickets.

Gold, siver, bronze medals….league and test trophies…..they give them to the best teams or athletes and the other contenders get another chance next time, hopefully getting better over time. That’s how it works the world over.

Those teams are always same sizes thou..
A football team 50 players vs 5 players .. No . It doesn’t work that way .

It’s not that the writers were bad i think. They did really bad though because of release plan for living story.
That’s usually also why 99,9 percent of tv shows sucks b@lls.
Quality takes time, love and care to create.
When they have to follow a busy schedual it will be a rushed trainwreck like the last seasons of Dexter, and not a fully fleshed masterpiece like Breaking Bad or Game Of Thrones 8D .. Not that gw2 lore will ever reach that kind of awesome, but you get my point ..
But I have hopes for season 2, we shall just have to wait and see ..
