I’m curious if Living Story was meant in the beginning to be the “expansion”.
Or maybe not?
They have said a long time ago that they people working on a “big project” in the background.
If we find out this saturday that we will get a expansion with loads of new content, enough to be worthy to be compared with GW1 xpacs, then I think I will begin to appreciate the LS much more.
The worst thing about LS so far for me have been the thoughts in my head “is this all we will get”?
But in the future if I know that an xpac will be released later on, I think I will be able to enjoy those small 2 weekly patches much more
So basicly my question I guess is:
Do you think that they came to the conclusion that LS wasn’t the way to go, and decided to release an xpac instead?
Or do you think that LS was always just meant to fill the gap untill they released the “big project” ?
It’ll be an expansion. No rage will come from that.
However, the rage will come from Anet’s definition of “expansion”. No matter what, expect Twitch/reddit/these forums to rage by their take on what an expansion means in the gw2 universe.

Probably just continue to be disappointed with the lack of new diverse content in this game. January 26th will just be another day.
Honestly, I’d love to see an expansion or something significant, but looking back at the last two years…well, it’d be rather foolish to get my hopes up, eh?
Well, they have said for a long time that they had a big project working in the background, that they have never discussed. So that we haven’t seen anything significant in 2 years could def mean that there is reason to have hope this time around :P Since this is most likely that big project. But yeah .. Always better to just expect to be letdown to avoid dissapointment

Nothing. Just keep playing like I always play. Even without an expansion I still have so much left to do, I have for another year of content to go through that I plan to do.
And I have 22,5k AP. But there’s still so much left for me to do I feel like an expansion now would be to soon, a year from now in January 2016 would be the perfect time for an expansion imo, because that’s when I’ll ’’finish’’ the game and be done with everything there is to do.
Really? How do you have “a year of content”? You mean REPLAY content for achievments/collections?
I’m just curious what content i’m missing, since I only have 10,2 k ap, but already seen everything way to many times

So, since we might get an expansion soon, arena net probably wouldn’t mind some tips for their advertisement.
I remember surfing some RIFT videos on youtube, and fell over a recommended video of the anet developers presenting Tequatl the Sunless. I was absolutely baffled that the boss I was looking at was actually from an mmorpg :P Then one of the devs said “This is one of our little dragons ..”
And then I put on my shoes and jacket and went to gamestop and bought the game ^^
.. So, if you have some epic new boss battles in the upcoming pax presentation, don’t hold back

I couldn’t care less about the box. But I see how there could be advertisement advantages from this.
I actually bought gw2 in a shop, because I didn’t want to wait on the big file size to download (and I remember it wouldn’t install from disk for some reason, so ended up having to download it anyway ) but besides that I haven’t purchased a game in a store in like 7-8 years. Steam ftw ^^

You must be going through really though times now, and I know we can’t make much of a difference, but I’ll leave you with an inspirational quote

1. More weapons to each class. Either new or just more of the same weapons usable to every class.
2. New legendary weapons and hopefully legendary armor and legendary backs
3. New dungeons
4. Raids
5. New worlds bosses
6. New pvp modes
7. Just an all over more rewarding pvp experience.
8. Mounts .. Haters gonna hate
Hopefully at least some of these things will come true
I just tell people like that something like:
- You are a God and we all worship the ground you walk on.
- Your shining magnificence makes my life seem shallow and meaningless in comparison.
- My inability to move pixels as quickly or precisely as you has left me bereft of hope, a devastated shell of a man.
- My entire concept of self-worth is videogame-based and my failures in the virtual world taint my life in the real world.
- My wife told she was leaving me for someone who plays GW2 like “a real man” and my children tell their friends I died in an EVE Online conspiracy gone wrong.
Then I point out that instead of practicing virtual combat, I make love to my wife and parent my children. Haters be hatin’ people with actual accomplishments.
