It’s pretty simple, you buy whatever outfit you like, and you go to the outfit tab to equip it. I doesn’t have any stats, and doesn’t replace armor. It just visually overwrites your current armor.

I’m no coding expert, but realistcally it can’t be that hard to create a “costume slot” of some sort, or a more permanent way to apply cosmetic gear at any level, across characters. Most other games offer this, why not gw2?

Guild Wars 2 does offer this, it’s called “outfits”

It doesn’t make much sense to me.
I’ve heard people say it’s because then people would get tired of it fast, and it wouldn’t be a big thing like it is when it’s temporary.
But I don’t see how that would be true, cause if they made a patch where they introduced new world to SAB (like they already do) people will still swarm to play the new content in SAB.

.. And .. Actually 2 days after I wrote this post I see a dev on EU for the first time lol :P

There is an option in:
Windows Ease of Access Center >Make the keyboard easier to use > Turn on mousekeys

It will allow you to double click with a single click on numpad keys.
It can be toggled on/off easily, so if you use numpad for gw2 keymapping, it wont be an issue.

I would also love an option to open an entire stack at once, but untill we get that this is a big improvement from spamming your mouse btns.

I don’t find it to be that big of an issue as long as we can upgrade the luck at a crafting station.

Before warddrobe update I have deleted a lot of skins because they took up space. I had almost every dragon jade skin from the first dragon bash and lots of others that are lost now, and MUCH more expensive. So that is a sucky feeling :S

Also wasted ton of gold on mf-ing precursors , but also been insanely lucky at times, so that evens out pretty much

Edit: Oh .. And ofc .. The time I listed Sunrise on tp. Came back next day. It still wasn’t sold, I regreted listing it and decided to keep it after all, and lost 170g (i think it was) in listing fees.

Exploration / Combat first
It’s what makes sense to begin with. How do you guys imagine to progress through the expansion if you start out with going after the precursors oO?

In my opinion Guild Wars 2 is the best value for money when it comes to MMORPG’s .. Scratch that .. When it comes to games.

You have tons of content to dig through, and there is an expansion coming soon.
So yea, def worth your money and time.
You can create any class you feel like, allthough I would probably not go with elementalist or engineer as a newb. They are pretty complicated proffesions to master.
Most popular proffession I believe is warrior.

Unlike WoW there is no sub fee. GW2 has more action based combat, you have to dodge out of enemy attacks and think about where you place yourself. The combat is much more exciting and fun than WoW.
Also GW2 have no gear treadmill. When HoT (expansion) is released, GW2 will have no new lvl or gear tier. This game is more about getting rare skins.
Allthough a “mastery system” is coming soon that will provide new kind of endgame progression.

I have a level 80 guardian, but I don’t know if I want to play it because it feels like that class has an identity crisis. I made it at first because I thought it was a tank, I think I’m still confused as to what it’s supposed to be…

What classes are good right now? I realize that people are going to say play whatever I want to, but, I really don’t like spending hours leveling up a character only to find out nobody wants them in their groups because they’re useless. Should I stick to my guardian? (If their role is a healer, I don’t want to bother with it).

There is no Tank or Healer in this game. It runs on a soft trinity of Damage/Control/Support which Guardian can do all of.

Yes they’re all good. They all excel at slightly different aspects/areas of the game. What specifically are you looking at doing? That will give people a better idea of what may be a good fit for you.

You might aswell wear a sign that says “kick me” if you roll a necromancer, sadly.

I used to get this a lot when I sometimes switched between multiple batteries in one phase. I think when you go to a new one, it will overrule your current battery event medal.
After I’ve sticked to 1 specific battery in each phase i’ve had no problems at all.

These should keep me busy for the next decade. :P

- Get full ascended gear on my main, an Elementalist. So far I have all accessoires, 2 staves and the chest piece. Still need the rest of the armor and a scepter and a dagger at the least, maybe even a focus even though I never play focus.

- Get full ascended gear on my other characters. My Engineer has 2 rings and an amulet, the rest nothing.

- Get world completion on all my (currently) 7 characters. I have my main done, next up is my Necromancer at 70-80%ish. Guardian and Engineer are at 45%ish, the rest is all below 30%.

- Buy one more Lovestruck weapon because they’re my favourite set. I’ll probably go for a riffle for my Engineer.

- Finish all dungeon paths once for the title. I have Arah left and 1 HotW path I think.

- Finish the personal story on all characters. I have 1 out of 7 finished, 2 others have an order and the rest I never really started.

- Save enough gold for a character slot and wait until it’s on sale to buy it.

- Buy the Trickster set off the gem shop for my Mesmer, aka saving enough gold for that.

- Finish all jumping puzzles.

- Getting to 10k AP. I’m like 30 points shy of 9000 at the moment.

- Get all area explorer achievements.

- Buy proper underwater headgear for my alts (this is a goal because not all have been even close to Orr).

- Buy proper runes and sigils for underwater gear. I actually went out and got all my alts exotic underwater weapons, after having greens and blues for ages.

In case you haven’t seen.
Lovestruck is 2 tickets at the moment, so now might be a good idea to get that riffle

I doubt they will be available in WvW as it would break the game completely.

Also wouldnt surprise me in the slightest if its a quick mode of transportation from one fixed point to another in PvE. If they are like in Archeage, it would break all existing PvE maps as well. Only available on the new map perhaps? Which means that skins are pretty pointless haha.

Colin confirmed in an interview that it will ONLY be on the new maps.
He didn’t mention WvW though. My guess is that it will only be available on the new WvW map also.

I reached my goal in December 2014.
I hope anet will add a title for it soon.

if you want safe trading, use the trading post. personal trading encourages map chat clogs and scams as i’ve experience on other mmorpg

They could make a trading channel – Edit: allthough I realize that people would still spam in main chat

You can make a trading system where you can’t scam, Rift has one etc.
You send an item to a person, the item is locked untill he pays the ammount that the sender has requested. If he doesn’t pay the item will automaticly be sent back to the sender.

You can do this in Path of exile, and it’s really awesome.
Also, we have the ability to see everyone in pvp as a standard human model, this could also apply to show standard skills. So there wouldn’t really be a big problem with it.

And what do you want them to do? Remake the story? The story have already been told. The only way to improve the story is to give us more.
Try to enjoy the other aspects of the game.

Dungeons award 3/4 of a level’s worth of xp for completing, so this weekend they’ll offer a level and a half. If you don’t mind repetition, you and your friends could run AC story mode a lot.

I very much doubt that.
It will most likely just be xp for kills.

Don’t rush to level up. You don’t need to be max level to experience all the good stuff in this game.

Take your time and open up waypoints and explore a bit. It’s frustrating to get to 80 and not even be able to participate in dungeons or guild missions due to lack of territory/waypoints opened up.

Good advice, but we are all different. I didn’t enjoy my first 1-80 that much when the game first came out. I was first hooked on the game when I started on the “endgame”.
And running to dungeons/world bosses/GMs wont take very long on a lvl 80, if you go straight ahead for the wps needed and ignore the rest.
It’s all up to what you prefer OP.

Never said it wasn’t worth it. I just don’t like investing time in games like that that I don’t end up enjoying. Obviously with no fee it’s worth it.

My problem is the whole old style quest, voiced or not, I still have to go to a quest giver, talk to them, run back to do something while following map markers. Go back to the quest giver and get a reward. Honestly I felt like I was playing a game from 2002.

Agreed! Same reason I quickly gave up on Wildstar.
But .. A pro in my book about the quests in TESO, from what I’ve seen on youtube, is that the questlore is much more immersive than in GW2.
I couldn’t care less in GW2, the "quest"window is so unappealing.

Well I know one thing for sure, steam doesn’t give a kitten if you bought before a big discount. But who knows, anet do have very good customer service .. Give it a shot.

Sure. But it’s one thing to break the rules. It’s another thing to announce you’re doing it on the official forums which are linked to your account.

Having a person play the game at your house is also great exposure for GW2. Since that guy is likely to buy the game himself if he like what he sees. ( But seriously anet, why no demo oO? )
I’m pretty sure they made those rules to make it your own responsibility if your friend screws you over by getting banned or sell your account or whatever the reason may be.
If they didn’t do that every gold seller and hacker could just say that a friend did it.
