You are incurring in the same fallacious logic many others do these days: You assume anonymity, and the associated pseudo-immunity, the perceived lack of consequences for your actions, turns people into monsters. You think it’s power that corrupts people.

This is the biggest lie you’ve ever been told.

Power does not corrupt. Power has never corrupted anything in history. It merely lets you be as corrupt as you’ve always truly been. People “hiding” behind anonymity posting horrible and heartless comments on the internet aren’t being dishonest. They’re dishonest the rest of the time, when they pretend they’re nice and play along because they’re afraid of the consequences, while silently wishing we’d all die in a fire.

You assume people hide behind masks to be someone else, when in fact, it’s only when they’re behind masks that you truly get to know who most people really are.

But then again, the thing that bothers me when reading forums is when people are stupid. Stupid and nice is still stupid. If anything the moderation censorship bothers me more than people being “mean”. Those I can easily disregard.

Even if how they behave is who they truly are, doesn’t mean they should behave how they want on the forums. There is a reason why there is consequences to our bad actions. And those reason should apply here as much as in real life. That is common sense.
And I fail to see how “stupid” people bothers you. A persons IQ shouldn’t determine if you like him or not. The “stupid” people bought the game like you and I, and is perfectly inclined to post their thoughts on this forum. If I misunderstood your message, please do explain again .. I am from EU so not so used to “fancy” English language And I gotta say that you sure did “assume” a lot about what I wrote to fit your statement. As an “veteran flute player” in the game I’m very much looking forward to this mini game

Try guesting on Desolation or Gandara if you are on EU. Just be there in time to not be stuck in overflow

Gandara tries Teq once-twice a week, and some of those attempts still end in fail. No points guesting unless you know exactly when it happens, and even then you should be prepared for disappointment.

It happens every 2 hour 1 or 2 min over, it’s a fixed time .. 18:00, 20:00 etc ..
Well on Desolation we win at least 9/10 times except for mornings/nights. And if the people are not doing well, you are not suppose to win either

Tequatl update was one of the best thing that happened to the game.
Except for the scaling being kinda broke.
Try guesting on Desolation or Gandara if you are on EU. Just be there in time to not be stuck in overflow If you are on US try the same on the highest populated servers.

Just focus 99% on gameplay and 1% on lore if you ask me ..
This living story is like a basic tv show .. Way to much pressure to live up to a time schedule, and that results in weak writing ..

I’m almost sure the story would be better if it wasn’t rushed like it is with the living story .. Not that the personal story was amazing by any means, but at least there was some entertaining and funny moments .. If you absolutely have to spend your resources on lore, then focus mainly on humor pls, that is your strength .. I enjoy most of the living “story” actually, but the story itself is just meh ..

I must admit that I rarely care about stories in video games, except if I’m playing a story driven single player game. If I want to be entertained through media I can always go watch Breaking Bad or another amazing story. RPG’s is mostly just about progression through the rpg system, that’s the fun .. But it’s all about personal preference I guess, I know you can’t please all ..

I know that you will always focus on lore, and you should, many people enjoy it in MMO’s. Just had to give my selfish opinion ^^

Now I feel better about wasting about 400 g.
My story is a bit different though, I was a kitten bag.
First I got my precursor (tooth of frostfang). Then I spent a day or two figuring out if I should sell or keep. Decided to sell, because of “rumors” of precursors being much easier to get in near future..
Two weeks later I finished my world completion and regretted selling. I had enough gold to buy the precursor, but pro me decides “hmm, last time I got the precursor in only about 40 – 50 g of crafted axes, why shouldn’t that happen again? Then I’ll save some gold” ..

30 min later, 400 g poorer .. No pre cursor :S
I almost quitted the game after this, but decided to continue, I am still not fully healed since my heartbreak :S

Did multiple runs to get the ahcievments myself.
I would rather see it happen to the daily dungs though (or even better yet both).
Since if you go for dungeon master achievment now you will at least still get token/gold, even though if you don’t get the achievment.
It sucks to do a dungeon twice with little reward
Thank god it haven’t happen to me yet though. But I spent a lot of time thinking about what paths I did earlier, when I take a break now and then. Mostly when I start a specific dungeon, and joins guildies in another dungeon, then it can be hard to remember what path I did.
Would be so nice to just be able to see it in UI ^^

Soon you will be able to use pve gear in pvp, but what about the skins you have unlocked for pvp ?
Will I be able to use them in pve? Because I kind of regret binding gasmask and some sovereign weapons to pvp.

Of couse there is winning for ANET, simply leave the stuff from last year in and bring a some good new stuff. I don’t expect much, but somethng like a new minigame or some fun events around the world aren’t too unreasonable in my opinion.

To jokke: tose things surely are great, but they are in no way related to wintersday, those are different teams working on that and they are released when they are ready and have nothing to do with the story or festival events that come up at the same time.

Since we only get reward for a path once a day, I wish we could have a way of seeing what paths we had already done. Some kind of list etc. with the once you’ve done crossed off ala something like the achievement UI without the achievment rewards.

You can get almost perma swiftness on most classes, no need for mounts.

Higher chance of receiving the ticket would gain A Net less profit. I’m not trying to argue with you, but that is just the way it is. There is still many players buying gem store RNG boxes.

And even if they give us a higher chance of getting the ticket there will still be the 1% who doesn’t get the ticket in 100000 coffers.

Still, this month has been very improved in the way of obtaining a ticket. Compared to fused and sclerite tickets, the odds of getting the tickets has been very much improved. At least we can appreciate that.

Know what? I dont care how you enjoy this game. I do it my way. I was porting around and it was more cost efficient than going by foot for the time I saved was spent in Dungeons/Fractals/World Bosses.

You may enjoy this way of playing – others wont. End of story, dont try to tell me how to play.

Some people don’t enjoy exploring. I only have 53% world completion on my main, because I just simply don’t enjoy that part of the game. That is why I craft all my alts. Good for you poster that YOU can have fun with this, but some of us is having fun with other aspects of the game.

Please make an option in audio settings to mute the horn sounds, without having to mute all other sound effects. Thank you.
