We all have our preferences when it comes to visuals in this game, and regarding legendaries I feel they should reflect their status – who wouldnt get Eternity if it wasnt for its great looking skin and that glow.
Looking at this backitem, I feel thats not something I would throw on my character. Dont find it pretty, its strange looking, nothing with resemblance other than fractals? But even then, would you really want to equip something that wouldnt fit the rest of the theme of your character? I’d take Rox Quiver over this on my thief and ranger any day. Not to mention the tons of resources and effort just to get a legendary item.

If Anet wants to keep it Fractal themed, perhaps make that thing smaller, make the backitem all about a belt, or a banner or a cape with some fancy effects like that in the pic, something that would fit all themes/races/classes – or something with resemblance instead of creating something new and strange. I cant put my word on it, it just doesnt taste right.

Completely disagree and love the Fractal theme!

I dont understand why it is important to release a “pure dps” legend. All you are doing with that is pigeon holing people into a spec. All specs should offer at least average dps and the current specs do not do that at all. It doesnt matter what hasnt been released the current revenant that we have needs love.

I don’t get why ppeople think it shouldn’t tAke them longer to gear 8 toons. it was your choice to make that many. You should not make your gear the same rate as everyone else on one character.

Time gating is a method that is respectful to individual players’ time.

It’s not. Time gating is fine-tuned using as a basis someone that logs in every day – i’m pretty sure that the majority of players don’t do that.
And if you don’t log in every day, then suddenly you are faced with timegates that are ridiculously long.

In actually playing the game. Logging every day on an alt with several stacks of crystals in inventory, parked near a skillpoint is hardly my definition of fun.

So play the game? You don’t have to be parked near a skillpoint.
