Screen randomly went black while selling things to a vendor in WvW borderlands. Had to tab out and close the game.

There’s 5-10 maguuma players in EB right now. I was standing off to the side of krait and watched 100 NSP players run past me. lmao Clearly they don’t care about %s in that place.

God forbid an elementalist ever actually wins in WvW. I’m pretty sick to death of ranger/thief (lvl 80s) damage. There is no hope whatsoever 1v1. I use 30 water, and knight’s exalted for the toughness (over the crit damage of zerker’s). So I have good survivability. I use s/d. I have 4299 wvw kills, so I’m not a baddy. I do not have exotic rings, or accessories. I do not have divinity runes (4g+ each).

We have less players than both red and blue and are still holding second place. I’ve had the out-numbered buff on this whole match. lol

I’m waiting for the patch that allows my server to multiply our forces ten fold to attain the skill you’re talking about.

The game’s become a chore now. Log out with your share of the map or greater, wake up to owning a supply camp and everything else dominated by the high pop server. How many weeks in a row does Anet expect people to play that way? People are transferring/game-hopping left and right, because nobody wants to pve for anything other than the gear to use in pvp. The only redemption I can see right now is fixing the puzzles and getting rid of repair costs. sigh Oh, and the sweeping infractions on forum make people less likely to post anything.

Will it do 20% more damage to siege and npcs that are below 25%?

Nightcapping again. Yay (sarcastic). I’m in Atlantic Canada, so when I get on, we have nothing because the majority of our team is Western time. And then there’s the people who just leave when we’re not in first. We desperately need Australians and day time players on Maguuma. This is really not fun at all to be out-numbered every week but 1. Most of us are not young enough to play 24/hours a day anymore, nor do we want to. It’s really depressing to think that you have to go do pve because there’s nothing to accomplish in WvW for 8-12 hours.

Actually, none of the runes or sigils seem to be working for me in Mists.

Accuracy doesn’t seem to work either. Tested in Heart of the Mists, not outside of it.

You also don’t lose any buffs if you simply log out before you die.

Blah. Day time is really slow and empty. There’s really nothing to do. Capping supplies isn’t my idea of entertainment. I still don’t know what to do with all my karma.

I think we should be able to mouse over the green dots (friendlies) on our minimap to be able to read who that player is so we can message them for help or give warning. Tracking everyone on the map might be a bigger issue. But if you only moused over that mini-map when it had 0-5 players in the area, it’d be helpful. A “toggle minimap/compass teammate names” option in case it ended up causing lag. Then you could maybe test to see how many people would use something like that by whether they have it enabled.

The game really needs a “report afk” feature in WvW. You can’t really say someone’s botting when they are just afk at the waypoint. But we need them out of the match so that others in queue can get in faster.

That aside, the matches need to allow far less inbalance of players against each other. A 60 man zerg vs a 15 man one shows the %s are way off in what can be flooded into a map for an auto-win. People are going to transfer regardless, but something that stops mass out-numbering on a map would stop people feeling like they need to transfer to enjoy the game.

lol My main’s a Sylvari, and then I made a new charr… fell at the same place like 5 times in a row. Any jump where you have to turn mid-air is bad. I had a pretty dress on my Elementalist that I had to get rid of because it fanned out mid-air and I couldn’t see my footing.

I don’t know if anyone mentioned, but we were unable to repair the altar when it was destroyed, like we were previously able to do. I bug reported it at the time. We basically could only sit there and stare at the orb and our broken altar until it reset.

Most, if not all, of our commanders won’t even go to EB because too many non-80s go there and drool over Grub. I like that map, but there just doesn’t seem to be much interest from the masses. Not that we have masses; and possibly the problem.

Last night we killed 13 of their siege with 2 cats before they were able to use them. Including a golem. And tonight it took them over 2 hours to breach garrison on our last stand. We had 1/3 of their players at best still awake at this hour. lol All of our siege came from puzzles and badges. Maguuma is top tier level of play and the silly rankings won’t ever prove it. You’ll just have to face up against us to know for yourself (if you haven’t yet).

Delete the thief class.

I’ve had auto-targeting off for ages. It doesn’t stop you from going backwards. I even play with targeting circles off, because it takes too much time. This is both good, and bad. I find I can’t fight in close range for kitten when they are on. I wish it would show the circle despite being automatic. My mouse sometimes just disappears and I target way off to the side somewhere.

The people who sit at the entrance don’t care about the server in any way, shape, or form. I don’t want to try to coax them to go somewhere else. I told them when the keep’s wall was down, but they just stayed there, like the lemmings they are.

I’m not going to sugarcoat anything for anyone. Either play with the team, or be ignored.

The people we have in internal battlegrounds today are braindead. They’re fighting in front of our spawn, dying, and not making any kills. This has been going on for 2 hours. I left for the borderlands when the queue popped.

There are far too many staff WvW videos on youtube. You might hit for huge crits over 3k, but that’s not simply because you’re using a staff. It’s because you’re spec’ing into fire, where you don’t do that for mobility builds. In MH/OH builds you favor crit and arcana (for the most part). I see staff users with berserkers gear get absolutely dominated by melee in WvW all the time. Personally I carry every weapon on me, but maintain a S/D roaming setup. I have about 3k kills in WvW and have made about 800 badges (at least). The classes I have problems with are thief, ranger (full crit gear), and warriors (full crit). Everything else is usually a guaranteed win at any range. I do not have full, or even half crafted gear. I use green cloak and accessories. I change my spec very seldomly, but every spec always has Air, Water, and Arcana in it. I cannot link it right now or my gear, and I’ve never recorded myself playing. I’m still trying to perfect my gear, as right now I’m using 6 Superiors runes of Balthazar, with Ruby Orbs in everything else. Don’t knock the orbs, because you get power, crit chance, and crit damage with them, and they are cheap to buy/obtain.

I’m here because I still want to improve on my survivability. Right now in current 30 arcana spec I’m floating around 13.8k hp, which is really low for WvW. I had around 17k+ before I started making a transition from the WvW/Karma gear into Knight’s Exalted (not Berserkers). I have 45% base crit chance with about 63 crit damage.

If anyone else is thoroughly enjoying S/D in WvW, I ask you to post your build, and a video if you have one that’s recent (less than 1 month old).

I hate riding backwards into people. In times where you would have gotten away safe, you actually kill yourself because you forgot you still had something targeted. I want it to always go the way I’m facing. There are plenty of times when you cannot de-target fast enough in WvW.

Partial knights exalted, partial WvW, helm from a task that hides shoulders. etc.
I’ve changed the colours since then. I love the Fallout-esque/predator mask.

When you give me a matchup where my server has more than 1% of the other team’s population, I’ll stop doing it.

Kinda feel like doing sPVP at this rate. There’s absolutely no balance between top team and the 2 below it in a given week (of WvW).

Whoever said you could log out on downed state lied. lol It puts you wherever you zoned in from dead so you have to pay the silver for the wp, unless someone rezzes you.

I’m running out of badges to spend on siege while playing on a low pop WvW server.

My server feels like it’s dying in WvW pop. I think the servers we beat before should come join us at Maguuma, since they obviously have less pop than us, too. We have some good leadership, and other people that just berate others when they don’t do what they say. I, personally, have found it very difficult to get people to go where there’s an obvious opportunity because they’re all listening to a specific voice at the time. I’d switch maps away from those people, but when we have a queue on only 1 map, the presence on the other three are usually minimal at best. Most of us are not playing for gear, or karma, so that if we have no players, why are we playing? We’re getting crushed by population. It’s addictive, and we want to keep trying no matter what. As depressing as it is. lol

You know how many people are doing it because of this and other threads? If it’s allowed, then why would we need a statement saying so? If it gets “fixed” faster because I’m brave enough to admit to doing it, (unlike 99% of the people in this thread claiming the contrary), then shouldn’t you be thanking me? ANet commented on a timer that may or may not be working as intended. They didn’t clearly state that you shouldn’t be able to log out in combat or downed state. I don’t run into zergs. It just happens when your server doesn’t even play the game. I did it about 3 times so far. At puzzle after killing people, then getting out-numbered. Had a ranger on me that was negating 1/3 of my hp every 10s while he was underwater. :/ And another time when I was being chased. All because someone posted you could do it yesterday.

I started doing it because I read it on the forum that it was possible. I feel like a trolling thief now. Thank you for allowing us to do this. I kite through a pile of mobs, as many players as I can get to chase me, and then log when I’m at 25%. Then I port back to the entrance after I log back in. I’m proud of it. P.S. My server has like 25% of the players on the other 2 worlds in WvW. What do you expect? Pretty much every class other than an elementalist becomes God in full crafted crit gear vs someone without it. Vit/toughness (karma/badges) is supposed to counter someone critting with every ability. How about no? Right now I can gank all kinds of people, and then when I’m out-numbered, I just leave. Thief can still reign supreme over logouts. It’s too fast. I haven’t been doing it on downed state. I don’t wait that long. Thanks for telling me I can do it then, too. Adding to repertoire.

Yeah. Going invis and porting three times while downed, with clones that accept a finisher is ridiculous.

The elemental downed abilities are worthless. You have to kill someone not attacking you, or the person you down will just finish you off from their own downed state. Kill someone at 1%, dodge back twice, while switching to water to heal, is like your best bet for not being downed again.

All the thieves are spamming the thread trying to rationalize their abilities as a skill issue.

Thieves are extremely overpowered and in dire need of a nerfbat.

I’m sure 1000s of players have re-rolled thief just to take advantage of playing the ultimate grief class. I haven’t, yet. But I did make a warrior. I joined WvW at level 3 with the starting items and it’s so much easier than an elementalist. It’s hilarious. People have no idea what skill is in this game.

Well I switched specs to try 30 arcana. I don’t like using a staff. I usually float around 7 stacks as D/D in WvW. I’m not really sure what spec you’re using to get 21.

Do you actually use that?

Ruby Orbs or Set bonus? If set, which one?

I do not own crafted gear.

I’ve played WoW, and Rift, and neither of those MMOs have pvp maps as elaborate as GW2’s WvW. What is boring about them? sPVP maps are also erotic.

A lot of tasks in WvW feel like thankless, unrecognized work. Maybe something more could be added. I mean, you get xp for repairing/building things. And if you attack a player, npc, or siege from inside before it dies, you will get karma, etc. for defending the structure. There are still places where you don’t get any rewards. Escorting a dolyak only sometimes gives rewards. I like the increased badge drop chance idea.
