to me it seems that 8v8 are full because they are on top and People are lazy. not more than that.
i generally think the 8v8 playstyle doesnt fit the tournament requirements and it is the badest way to get new Players into pvp. all they learn there is getting more glory by zerging. you will rarely get forced into a 1v1 where one could really learn something.
i would love to see it like no Server list at all, just a Play now button and you get randomly on a 5v5 Server which fills randomly (mmr) with equal Players (like gw1 random Arena).
@sarmach: everytime i join a 5v5 Server and there are 1o1 – i just ask if i can join. most of the time i get a hearty welcome. everytime i did so i get lots of very nice 1o1 matches and most of the People do enjoy it like i do and stay on the Server for many many rounds. just give it a try – beleave me, its far more fun than 8v8 zergway.

i really really can not understand why everybody is talking about a community split. if they make solo queue, then there will be soloqers and nons. and of course players who like both. and if they make something new, there will be people who will like it. as there will always be many people who like and play certain aspects of the game. and all of them are playing and liking guildwars. – like all for one, one for all
also from this point: the community will not split, it is already if you seperate the aspects of guildwars. i dont like this point of view.
as a dev: if a have the option to create a new “subtype” by – and thats how it sounds to me – just implementing a solo queue in addition to other types of spvp and maybe get some new players into pvp, why not just do it? if it doesnt work, at least i have tried it.
so wathever great u devs are already planning right now, if that many players are shouting for the 1v1 version of solo queues, you should probably know what to do.

Engi rifle is .85s. = 1288 av weapon dps.
Pistol 1 is .85s. =1120 average weapon dps
so they have the same attack rate…
i didnt get the point with the coeff though, cause there are no traits affecting the attack speed of rifle or pistol?

first of all sorry for my english. i just think the response in english forums is much better than elswhere. and there are more devs watching
well, i want to discuss about the shot rate of pistol compared to rifle or compared to other classes. the dmg output (rifle) is another thing which should not be discussed here.
in my understanding a pistol should have a much higher fire rate than the rifle. since the beginning when i tested both i thought about that. when i first faced a shortbow-ranger (imo short/longbow is a good comparison to pistol/rifle) and after that a pistol-thief i really felt like being pranked by anet. not talking about the ridiculous dmg output of thieves.
the skill description says 3/4 on rifle and 1/2 on pistol for auto-attack-1 but it feels to be exactly the same and in my opinion it really shouldn’t be.
so what do you guys think?
am i totally wrong and should stfu? i guess not

- Healing Turret’s Regeneration heals for 5 health per tick if you only gain Regeneration from the first pulse. Subsequent pulses from the turret apply a Regeneration boon that heals for the proper amount.

The healing turrets secondary ability doesn’t remove any conditions.
the description says “Overcharge your healing turret, supplying a burst of healing that cures all conditions”
tested severel times, seems to work here and there though – but never when i really need it
