Thank you Josh Davis, and welcome to sPvP community. I am glad to see more activity on the pvp mode of the game.
WvW/MOBA Mode:
How that works:
Like Moba genre, we have towers and we have mobs. Each player starts normally, and following the game objectives, the wave of mobs receives bloodlust stacks. Bloodlust stacks gives boosts like in WvW. The main objective is to kill the opponent champion lord.
All game rules:
1- We have 4 towers, two castles with two Champion Lords and two shops.
2- The spawn-mobs have a simple IA and predefined routes, going through the enemy tower, destroying tower gates and castle gates/walls up to the champion lord room, so the mobs try to kill lord.
3- After [X minutes or X deaths] go to the next turn. We can only have one BLUE and one RED scout event on the map.
4- Players can use gold to buy Sieges on the Shop.
Game start rules:
1- All Mobs and Lords don’t have any Bloodlust Stack
Running game rules:
1- The game starts after few seconds, so the team can discuss strategy.
2- We start at turn 1 without any bloodlust stack
3- On the first turn, spawn a scout event, with a wave of mobs for each team, The next event only spawn on the next turn.
4- The event picks a random route, and keep going this route until the dead.
3- Each player death and mob death gives gold to the enemy player and a permanent bloodlust stack to the closest enemy mob.
4- Each tower lost gives permanent game bloodlust stack to all mobs.
5- All towers are equipped with some sieges, controlable by npcs.
6- To destroy the tower, the players or mobs need to destroy the Gate and kill the Tower Veteran Lord. When this happens, the tower is permanently destroyed and can’t be used anymore.

Whoever is really ineterested in pvp don’t ask for gold and experience because you don’t need those things in pvp. Arenanet should improve the ranking system or at least should add an ingame version of the Leaderboard. Thats all.
What i really think what the pvp needs are more pvp interested people playing this.
If they just make GW2 more common in e-sport leagues and get more playing Guild Wars 2 PvP who don’t care about legendary, gold and a lvl 80 character.. It would be perfect.
To do this, ANet must have a HUGE focus on the PvP, so much as PVE. Because the players will not buy a game just to do 10% of the game, a section of the game not in “first” interest list of ANet.
And we know, ANet don’t have people and will not leave PvE to focus the PvP aspect of the game.
That said, the reward system is the only way to don’t let the pvp mode of the game die.
Remember of this:
In Battlefield, we have rewards.
In Dota 2, we have rewards.
In LoL, we have rewards.
In Starcraft 2, we have achievements, so rewards for pvp.
What today game exactly don’t have at least one reward system?
The true is, in a game with PvP, you can only motivate players to play with 3 things: fun, tournaments and reward. We have players who only want fun? Yes. But we have players who want to play e-sport and we have players who want rewards.
Deal with it.
Oh god. Modern MMOers have truly been brainwashed by the gaming industry, as evident in this thread. PvPing for rewards, holy smokes.
I don’t want any rewards. Having fun, improving and the thrill of winning should be rewarding enough in and of itself. I couldn’t care less about random colorful pixels.
Me too, but we need to think in the growth of pvp player base. And sadly, today pvp player base, most of them, don’t play without any type of reward.
I want to suggest rewards based on the leaderboard team and solo rank. But before this, we need to fix the leaderboard issues. Plus we need to have a season isolated leaderboard, like in WvW.
So after that:
- All players who enter in the top 5 rank, any time in the season, will receive a unique token to trade for one legendary. The token is received based on the most played profession on the season. There is a token for each profession on the game. And the token can be traded for the profession usable weapons. The player who receive the token on this season, can only get other token on the next season.
- The same above applies for the Exotic nice-looking weapons, but for all players in the top 50 rank.
- All players between rank 1 and 200 have a chance to drop on the matches a random rare unique armor skins, the drop rate is based on your rank, better drops for better ranks.
- All players on the season leaderboard will receive the actual spvp skins plus other things like, gold packs, gem packs, minis and consumable itens. All the dropable itens have the drop rate based on the leaderboard rank, better rank, better drops.
- All the players who played on the season will receive on the end of that, a chest containing random of all stuff above, and again, the drop rate is based on the leaderboard rank plus the number of matches played on the season.

1) Wardrobe. Like the Void Storage on the WoW, a place where you can store your armor. My bank and my bags are FULL of all my sets!

An option I’d really like to see is smart ground targeting when targeting areas that are out of range.
Like if I use a 900 range teleport, but I cast it at 1000 range, then it still casts at it’s maximum 900 range in the direction of where I tried to cast it. Instead, right now it just fails until you target within range, which usually means you’ll waste like 100 range.
This would be a huge QOL change.

I don’t think open world content should be easy. That said, I don’t think open world content should require team speak or a ridiculous amounts of coordination either because it’s just not designed in a way which naturally promotes that.
While designing this content you have to keep in mind that randoms in blues will join in and you have to make it fun and rewarding for those folks to do just that. Tequatl in his current state violates that. The encounter makes these players into the bad guys.
The randoms in blues must have something as objective in the game, how you can be motivated to grow up your gear, if your gear are able to do anything in the open world game. The game already have a system to penalty the blues in the battlefront, the repair system.
I think it’s just time to everyone knows the boss mechanic and do normally this boss in the actual state.
Who said Open World must be easy? Who said All Open World Must be farmable?
Remember, in GW2 the Bosses raid Us.

Worst topic ever seen in this forum, srlys guys. Stop this no-sense discussion, The fact of players being brazilians have no link with lag and whatever are you saying.
-TLDR
Arena Net you want a competitive scene in wvw so please do not render certain servers handicap because of players from Brazil have high ping and render themselves almost useless in battle. Please allow them and anyone else to have a free server transfer to a South American/Latin server so we can have competitive play.
This is just a lie. You don’t know nothing about how many brazilian players are spreaded through the servers, and how much they are important to the servers.

Hello guys, I am oppening this thread to collect data from every latin american players who are having problems with the game caused by package loss or latency between our connections and NCSoft servers.
Recently I am having a lot of issues in the very populated cities (LA) and in the dungeons. The sPvP is unplayable without an tunnel service like BattlePing or WTFast.
Without Tunneling service I got 400-500 ms of average latency, with the tunneling service (BattlePing) I got 180-230ms of average latency.
Attached in this thread is my and my friends mtr reports:
1- Speed test bandwidth meter
2- Windows latency meter
3- WinMTR between my computer and GW2 Server
4- Mtr report from a EC2 Amazon Server located in São Paulo – Brazil
5- Windows latency meter from a friend located in Mato Grosso do Sul – Brazil

Yeah, The forum is too bright, and hurts my Eyes, I can not stay so much time because my eyes hurt in my head.
Devs just slight dark the background color and the problem is solved. Try rgb(214, 214, 214) is enogh.
It’s hard to find a non bugged pants for my female silvary. All the dungeon pants are overlapping the boots.

Hey guys I am hard working in the oliverschwarz project (fork) to provide information about spawn timers in the json returns. I am using sql to store information about the last changes in the state and estimate next change for any events.

The first version only returns the last changed and what changed, the next version (v3) will return remaining spawn timer and spawn window.
The objective is to these data be added to the default cached reports from the api.
When everything works I will change the output to json.
The API is very confusing for while.

I am trying to write an timer app, but I can’t understand any pattern in the timers. For now I am logging a bit more trying to see anything.
The preparation status is only when a cutscene is being shown or other things, like when the player needs talk to npc to activate the event (or this one is on the warmup status)?

The only thing I am looking for and may be missing yet is the WvW Events in the events.json api. I am right? One way to see if there any sword in the maps using map_id and world_id. Same for other events like mercenaries, keep contest, supply events, and others.

Update: I found the problem, the EVGA Precision X was running crashing GW2 and some other games. Uninstalling the Precision X resolved the issue.
Hello guys,
Yesterday, after an windows update and an reboot my GW2 client stops working. Just crash in the download/login screen with the attached dump.
I tried remove Documents/Guild Wars 2 folder without success. My Nvidia drivers are updated and everything was working normally before the windows update.
What do you think I have to do?
Update: Repair not works, same error. Same as “Run as Administrator”.

CoF P1 is not the best profitable place in this game, there is an spot in Orr where I can farm 5G+ / hour close to 0 DR in drops, but depend on luck and MF gear. With everyone playing COF P1, the mats supply are low, so if you farm this way you can certainly earn more gold.

An thing I am doing is: Pen / Shelter rotating using Guesting this way:
A party of two players, one player stay in the home, other in the guest. When an event spawn, the player call other. Normally the event chains and after that just switch to the other server (probably the other will be starting a new chain). This way I do 2 full bags in 30min of play time. Close to a non-stop farm. With Magic Find Gear, food, boosts and Banners. Jesus! This a insane farm.
I am realy doubt if do CoF P1 over, and over, and over again is better than farm in Orr. It’s logical farming in Orr is not only about gold, but about karma, experience, dailys, tier 5/6 mats and more.
Plus to that the CoF wait time to mount an party and the “leavers” every time. And currently the prices of T6 mats are rising and the inflation is uncontrolled. Eg: see the chart at http://www.gw2spidy.com/item/24295 of 1 month ago and now. The mat farmers are gone, and everyone is farming in CoF. This rise the price of all T6 mats, unbalancing all the market.
One Month ago I was able to buy like 250 Vial of Powerful Blood
with 30G today this costs 75G! The Gemstore Currency Converter is a good example how the game have a lot of more gold.
What is your opinion on the subject?

CPU Cores normally running at 70%-90% load and GPU at 40%-70% load

A question comes in my Mind,
I wanna play with sword, because I am in the half way of my Legendary.
So Sword + dagger is really viable in a condition dmg build? Sword does not have any bleed hability. And Pistol Whip seems to be not feasible.
Edit: SRy, I didn’t saw you advice about S/D.
So Sword is not good in any tanking/stealth build… Sad.. It’s very weird cause sword have a lot of control skills oO
