That’s only because ascended armor crafting is not in yet. When people will start raising tailor/leatherworker to 500, the prices are going to skyrocket.

There are over 8 million thick leather squares on the TP for the lowest possible price. I won’t see the price of those sky rocketing any time soon.

Unbelievable. This in just before ascended armor is scheduled. I hope everyone refined their scraps/sections before the update.
They held contests like that in GW1. The winners made really awesome looking weapons and at least one of those skins is still in GW2! (the dryad bow HoM reward)
I’ve always been under the impression that GW2 wouldn’t have expansions. Also isn’t(filter) it a bit too soon for WoW to be getting another one? Maybe I’m not used to expansions every year in an MMO.
1st expansion to GW1 came out one year after original release. And 2nd expansion less than one year after that. In terms of new content they had introduced they made WoW’s expansions with their time-frame a sad joke. I always claimed that Blizzard could learn from Arena how to make expansions. And now? Well, soon it may become the other way around. Its good for Arena that WoW is old as kitten so I prefer to play GW2 simply becouse of that.
GW1 actually had only 1 expansion. Nightfall and Factions were stand-alone games

Maybe A.Net should add to the gemstore a monthly fee aswell, because WoW does that too, right?
The game is not ready for a expasion the optimization is terrible lots and lots of bugs etc…. wow is perfect in almost any aspect they can do that i bet if arena net realease a expasion they will lose half of ppl and i dont know if they can afford that
i bet in wow they dont disconnect 4-5 times per day
Maybe comments like this should come from people who know a little bit more than how to install windows on a PC. How can you be sure that the problem has nothing to do with yourself?
My experience from taking camps in Drakkar BL this morning was that Drakkar sends groups of 15+ people to take them back asap.
If I happened to meet 3 or 4 people they literally ran away from me until they could regroup with the big group. Pretty sad :/

No, we don’t “send” out 15+ people. There are 15+ people standing in our keep waiting for something to happen, when you take a camp for example all of those people will go there to recap it.
Quick question to DL people…do you actually enjoy this matchup?
I mean, i’m from arbostone, and i think FOW is the same, we’re so outnumbered that we shouldn’t stop playing this week and let you guys have all towers and keeps T3 (actually, it’s almost the case less than 1 day after the reset…)
No it is extremely boring and just shows that this leage system doesn’t work at all. I feel sorry for FoW and Arborstone especially when our PvE heros start to spawnkill.
Hard to say, if I compare my playstyle with a rogue in WoW it is way more fun and engaging (both PvE and I only played WoW Woltk), sure you can have 3 bars full of skills but some of them are highly situational and won’t be used in normal PvE sometimes I also had 2 skills combined on 1 button via the macro function.
In GW2 every skill seems to be viable, except the revive skills, in every aspect of PvE which is pretty awesome.
attacking is not an good idea. i don’t think our players would had helped me against the other 5 because i ruined their archivementhunting for a few secs… ^^
It is a shame how selfish they are. Yesterday they couldn’t even be bothered to leave the ruins for ~10 minutes to defend bay against a guildzerg. When I asked them why they are not helping and why they keep locking players who actually want to play WvW in queues they just respond with “I play however I want”.
Seriously DL, do you have fun winning fights where you outnumber anyone at least 2:1? At least DZ gives us some good fights.

Yes we do have fun winnning fights while you are outnumbered, we specifically tell our publicraids to gather as many people as possible to crush you.
Nah, it’s more about DL being kittens all the time. Your attitude seems to be like “if you can’t outnumber them, just run away”. You don’t even try to put up a good fight.
To the OP, this has little to do with PvE’rs and more to do with WvWvW being more meaningful, which is what everyone wanted/wants.
And I waited 2 hours to get into wvwvw on Friday and 1 hour yesterday. Had a great time in wvwvw once I got in. Some awesome battles. Edit: And I’m on arguably the #1 server.
There are so many way in getting dust these days since they made ectos salvagable. You can get dust via crafting (salvaging the rare items you craft → salvaging the ektos you get out of it), via world events or via farming.
is there ever going to be chance to get another chainsaw greatsword? cuz its dead now. out of stock. 3 left in tp. maybe will stay there for few days cuz of extreme overpricing….

Just because there are 3 of them left on the TP doesn’t mean that there aren’t any more of them in the game.
Not all of us are masochists and want to have fun doing some thing mindless at times.
The problem is that people do it 24/7, they get used to this “playstyle” and fail and complain as soon as A.Net releases a new dungeon that is more than just auto attacking.
Not sure why I am a masochist for running dungeons, though.
Because Guild Wars 2 dungeons are neither balanced, scaled properly, entertaining nor are very rewarding on some paths. The encounters? Tedious. The mechanics? Frustrating. The story? Boring.
All in all. Not my kind of fun nor it is for many others. But if it floats your boat. Have fun! Just don’t keep complaining when you see people having fun in other ways.

At this point in the game, riding the champ train is the way to go if you want to make some money.
That is wrong on so many levels. You can make way more money with dungeons. The problem is dungeons actually require you to use more than your auto attack. That’s why so many people do this grind, they don’t want to be challenged they just want to be rewarded for pressing 1 button.
It is pointless, even if they “fix” this, the harm has been done, farmers are mostly above rank 50. it took me over 1 year to get to 40. So basically i have literally NOTHING to show for my effort as a PvP player.

I am guessing you are a Wiki contributor who’s got their undies in a wad because she has a privately owned site that probably gets more hits than your precious wiki. Dulfy rather than just listing things like the wiki does shows people how to complete things using video and photographic walk throughs… mmmMMMmmm The hate is strong in this one….
The difference between a wiki and a personal site is “doing something to help the community” and “doing something to generate clicks” and complete guides are ofcause going to generate more clicks. She is not only doing it to be a nice person because otherwise there would be no ads on the site.
Dulfy had the entire Aetherblade Retreat walkthrough posted the day before they launched it because Anet gave her access…
ALSO… They actually named an in game character after her… go to the city fractal… see Seigemaster Dulfy…
And this was the only time she got early access, probably she got a little trigger happy with releasing her guide 1 day before release which screwed up every other fansite.
And I know that she is in the game and I still don’t know why.
Let me also say I have searched Reddit and Dulfy to no avail to find these… the ONLY thing REMOTELY Halloween for GW2 posted anywhere is the box on the Facebook page…
As mentioned at the end of the blog, as always things are subject to change as test and prepare various systems. Most of the stuff covered in the blog you’ve already seen implemented, or steps towards being implemented, however the precursor building (and corresponding additional legendary items) is the one highest at risk to not make it this year.
It is still something we absolutely plan to do!

I just hope that they spend a little more time on the legendary weapons this time around. I only bothered to get one, because in my opinion, the others looked awful or were jokes.
Lets see something with a darker twist, glowing runes or smoke, not flashyness and rainbows.

Most of the GW1 lore was about the humans. A.Net said that they don’t want GW2 to be human centric, that’s why they introduced Scarlet rather than expanding the already existing lore.
It is something so basic to self identity and it should have been there since launch.
No please, stop. Do you sometimes forget how your character looks or what his name is? You stare at your character’s back all the and can change the camera position all the time, isn’t that enough?
