Titans…Oh god the titans….Ran as a minionmancer (oldschoolterm) and then the final missions decided to make my build worthless lol.
On topic: I find 50-80 much easier than the previous levels ironically, there are more events and overall action. I don’t mind the risen because every mob in this game behaves the same: Run to you, attack, random control attack. Range remains ranged.
If there was a variation in enemy attack patterns I might care more.lol, i remember leveling my fire ele in GW1, once you get to ring of fire, you are worthless because the titans had fire resistance….so you HAD to learn another build….i cursed quite a bit that day
No, just use the winter spirit from the ranger to turn all your ineffective firespells into extremely effective waterspells

Link to the official statement backing your claim, please.
Thanks.
No.
And no problem. Build your own LFG system with the tools the game already offers you.

Anyone have a link to a guide for this trap build?
Well, you place traps and do damage/evade damage, that’s it.

Lol. That’s a pretty awesome troll. My guild will post “Arah p4 carry run lf1m whisper someotherguysaccount”
I love it.
Since when is kitten off people for no reason considered to be trolling?
Funny. The more recent MMO’s launched with LFG very much included. Out the box. Day 1.
But I digress.
Point is, situations like the one explained by the OP is just one of the reasons why this should be a feature at launch. Not an afterthought, as is currently the case.
But A.Net doesn’t want a lfg system in the game. Why can’t you just deal with it?

mother of god I hate this community at times.
My friend gave me an Easter egg, I wanted to have a piece of it every evening for a week.
But I ate it all in one go. Sending him letter of complaint now, saying why the hell did he allow this!“should” cause people to go “oh that guy put a ton of time and effort into getting that item”,
Wrong genre, lol and pretty much wrong game too. GW1 Events were always about making as much money as possible for 90% of the community.

I get the feeling that there are people out there who get payed for posting stupid stuff like that.

Is the super adventure thing real or is it this years April Fool’s joke?
Loads of people are saying its a April Fool’s joke, so the continue coins useless?
Or is there a real new jumping puzzle to come…I am confused…?!?
Yes it is just a joke, that’s why they created skins you can already see ingame. kitten some people just need to use their brains once in a while.
@OP: Entitlement issues?
Where ingame are the new skins?
Also, in March 26th patch notes, no reference to this at all?
PvP Locker, Minipet section in your Banktab. Do you even pay any attention to the game at all?

No, it’s a joke on how the RNG from black lion chests for these new weapon skins is just a pathetic money-grubbing attempt from arena net.

Thanks for trying to help out Robert, but next time I’d suggest bringing a wooden plank to the meetings and smack some people in the face with it.
THat would hold no meaning… He should bring a jaguar…
Or a bear…The devs would just run circles around those pets, as a ranger, if you need something done, you have to do it yourself.
Back on topic, I’m surprised no one had blown up about persistent pet recharges yet. No more “on demand” knock down from wolves, tail swipe from drakes…
I doubt that they will be able to run in a circle for a long time because they have
no sense of balance

Astonished ya’ll are still allowing Cof p1 to remain in it’s current state. Ya’ll changed the world bosses because of the economy, yet ignore what this allows/creates.
“Reduced quickness from 100% attack speed to 50%.”
“Weapons sold by vendors are no longer salvageable.”These hit the CoF farmers pretty bad.
Why? You never bought weapons, you bought the armorpieces and salvaged them for ectoplasma.

Yes getting killed by a thief that isn’t even completely rendered out of stealth is fun.
Currently playing Heart of Thorns.
Nothing to talk about. Already dropped the idea of reworking old dungeons?
Currently playing Heart of Thorns.
You should add that the QZ “buff” is just an adjustment to the way quickness now works (50% instead of 100%)
And again the list is pretty short.

“Here’s what we believe: If someone wants to play for a thousand hours to get an item that is so rare that other players can’t realistically acquire it, that rare item should be differentiated by its visual appearance and rarity alone, not by being more powerful than everything else in the game. Otherwise, your MMO becomes all about grinding to get the best gear. We don’t make grindy games — we leave the grind to other MMOs.”
blablabla A.Net said the same thing about GW1 and it was an extreme grindfest.

By the sounds of it, there wont be a Trinity in TES:O either. Actually, so far TES:O sounds a lot like GW2, just with TES lore.
I assume you play Warrior or Guardian. Try playing an ele or mesmer. You definitely can’t afk on auto attack, then.
Last time I checked they completely “ruined” the TES lore for TES:O (TRANSCRIPTION ERRORS EVERYWHERE)

Well it is actually true, the drops get better but this only means that instead of getting blue items you will get green items.

it’s dumb
Why?
Because without them, achievements points show what -unique- achievements you have earned in the game.
Those achievements give older players an “advantage” because newer players can never catch up in anyway. Besides if they have some repeatable achievement why not make everything repeatable? Why count how many times you salvaged something infinitely and not how many rabbits you killed?
And why are you so concered about new players?

never played the beta but why did they get rid of that? its awesome!
The same reason as to why they got rid of the first login character selector screen in GW1.
dont remember a different login screen than the one i saw for 5 years
Well GW1 is nearly 8 years old.

Oh so it wasn’t frustrating to you when, say, red circles that you can’t dodge all the way out of covered the floor and killed you, while the other guys knew they had to hide in a certain corner to dodge those circles?
Sounds like Subject Alpha or are you talking about the norn fractal? It doesn’t actually matter in both instances I went in with a fully inexperienced group and we got through. Stuff like noticing safespots or seeing how the damage of Alpha’s aoe is mostly donutshaped is something even the newest player can see.
You battled through all the mobs instead of running past them because you didn’t know you should skip them to make the run bearable?
And I still kill all the mobs on my way to the end. I was never a huge fan of those speedrun groups, not in GW1 and not in GW2.

I have a hunch that ArenaNet will increase the availability of dust in the next patch as the changes to event scaling unintentionally lowered its supply to the playerbase.
So, sell your dust now while it’s hot.
so tempted to sell it right now … ;_;

I’d love to see how those “casual” players play the game if they struggle with the difficulty of dungeons, an actually video about a “casual” trying to get through a dungeon like hotw. The way some people describe them makes me think that they are physically disabled people with mental issues. No offense but I still think that people use this whole “casual” argument because they want to run through every dungeon first try in 20minutes.
I wouldn’t consider myself a ‘casual’ player, since I’ve been playing video games for almost 30 years and generally put at least 4 hours/weekday and 8-10 hours/weekend day in, though I wouldn’t say I’m hardcore either. That said, dungeon design rewards rote memorization, cheezing and cheating, not player skill. I can solo just about any champ in open world pve. I don’t expect my first time to take 20 minutes, but I would like my first time in a dungeon to not consist of an hour + of me res rushing(before) or battles where I’m dead, laying there and only a burden for the other 5 guys on the team. Especially with the no wp during combat change I have no reason to even try to run dungeons, I’m just dead weight for any team while they vainly try to down the boss or res me.
Not to mention that the dungeon runs aren’t nearly as profitable as a few decent karma train runs, the gear is nothing special(I’m not into the dressup thing they have going) and the fact that I must play with other players, there’s no good reason for me, personally, to even attempt a dungeon.
I play the game to have fun, none of the experiences I’ve had in a dungeon in this game can be considered anything close to fun. The best, least foul adjective I can use to describe them is ‘frustrating’.
Yeah, those stupid online games that force you to do group content (dungeons) with groups.
And I got through all the dungeons without min-maxing, learning about the dungeon beforehand or cheating with a group of regular players.

ANET supports JP campers.
Is that why one of the earliest patches had them block siege weapon placement in jumping puzzles?
Hm good question. I don’t think ANET wanted Siege in the JP because there were already traps you could use instead and they want to keep it that way.
Either way, the blatant nerf to Mad King’s Book as a torch in the dark room says a lot.
Unless they fixed the AoE Placement Symbols nothing changed. You can still see every platform if you have a placeable AoE Skill in your bar.

Oh and keep in mind that you won’t get anything for having a high rank in leaderboards. So no need to cry about how A.Net hates casualplayers who don’t want to grind for those points.
Currently playing Heart of Thorns.
Go to the wikipage of the dungeon and check the storyline of the path.

The constant nerf’s and shifting around of the game dynamics makes it feel grindy too. Because you feel like you are playing catch up. Honestly, when was the last time you had a moment when you said “Yay” or “Awesome” in the game? That’s the grind, how the games feels…
Last week when our guild managed to finish their first bounty and the week before when we managed to kill simin and basically everytime I discover a new hidden place in Orr.

Why do you actually play a mmorpg?
Currently playing Heart of Thorns.
For both I guess no content but Items in the itemstore and maybe some items added to the droppool for that time . Right now I think the team has enough to do and right after the big march patch I don’t expect them to add holiday content for Eastern or April’s Fools day but they never did that in GW1 too so what gives. In the end it was just another reason to grind :P
Currently playing Heart of Thorns.
Well I have a this grinning shield skin in my bank. I basically have nothing to do to make money
Besides that I don’t really focus on it. Doing 3 Paths of one dungeon in a row can get you a pretty good amount of money and it is actually pretty fun as long as you stay away from those boring dungeons. Leveling alts seems to be another good way of getting a steady income without having the feeling that you are doing a tedious grind. Also I stopped salvaging anything that could contain wood or leather because both t5 and t6 versions of it aren’t worth it anymore (GW2 needs more recipes that use both materials!!)

I have been playing the game for a while and I noticed a trend of what race makes what class and so on. Charr is most often a Warrior. But the thing I want to know, is what Profession the Charr(or other races) are most often not. For me, Charr mesmer is a pretty rare sight.
So guys, what race/profession is the strangest combination and why? Let me know down below!
I rarely see Sylvari Engineers. But there is a difference between strange and rare. For exampe I think Charr Guardian is kinda strange but it is not a rare sight.
Another odd combo I quite like is a sylvari engineer. Nothing beats a plant wielding a flamethrower!
It’s not like the skin of a sylvari is dry. I am pretty sure human skin is as flammable as sylvari “skin”

I hope they cry everytime they read this thread.
I get the feeling that it’d be more likely that they’re laughing.
I think they’d say that guild missions are working as intended. For some reason, they designed them for large guilds. They made them expensive so most guilds of medium to small size would have to grind to unlock them. That means more time playing and/or grinding, which they hope will translate to more money being spent as well.
No this means that there is actually a reason to play together with your guild because that increases your influence gain.
