-Whoever is in 2nd(score) and 3rd place(score)… turn their eyes towards 1st place(score).
-When in Eternal Battlegrounds… Whoever controls SM.. is now the team to kill.
-When in an enemy Borderland… focus on your “side” of the map, and taking land away from the Borderlands owner, before taking/attack the structures of the invaders.
-If you notice something getting to many upgrades/supplies on it.. Take it before it gets to big to take later.

in a nutshell.. lets bring the fight to mag DR =)

Well, at least I wasn’t far off in my original prediction of said certain members of said guild on DR many weeks ago….it just took not being able to chest thump anymore in order for it to come to fruition.

I didn’t see that AoD guy last night Saiyr, glad you spotted it. There were a few back on DR “in the day” that liked hopping servers to give intel away to their guildmates or the as Darxio mentioned somewhere a few pages back when we still had orbs, deliberate drops to their “home” server mates (totally forgot about that night). Course as I recall that wasn’t the only thing that went on on Kaineng that night with the infamous PRO member.

I’m ashamed to call myself a former resident of Devona’s Rest. It was the only server I could pick on launch day, thus that’s why I was there. For a long while it was all about the game and not the numbers, but a lot changes when you have weeks of wins and think you’re invincible I guess. Whether DR implodes or not, that’s their problem. If the problems were that bad to begin with, just remember that you allowed it to be that way all these weeks, not every other server that you’ve come across and definitely not Mag’s fault.

Furthermore, it seems to be the opinion of a particular Devonian that Maguuma (or Faguuma as they are calling us) are filled with a bunch of trash talking trolls. Last time I checked, DR was filled with just as many trolls and “trash talkers” as you sir are claiming only exists on this server. God forbid if I put up some screenies of certain conversations of where DR is lamb basted for being a bunch of idiots that can’t get their crap together with a lack of competent commanders. You all have so much “in-fighting” no other server in this tier has to argue with you, because you’re arguing with yourselves and losing them too.

Yes I’ve moved twice. I started on DR, moved to Anvil Rock for 5 weeks and left for here. Maguuma people were recieving and welcoming, plus more than often willing to say if we needed any help PM said individual. It was the better community that several of our guildies found after all this time of playing. We won’t be moving anymore and Mag is our home. Whether this server wins or loses, we’ll still be around. All I can tell DR people that aren’t happy is, send reps to other servers for a week and let them be your information source….it’s what we did and that’s how we found our new home. I mean if you’re not happy, staying there isn’t going to make you happier.

I’d just like to say that DR, you’ve got the worst Mesmer scanners EVER. Course I didn’t have anybody to port back into your overlook while I played around with a horrible warrior from RED that wouldn’t come down to get me out in the open. And, when he finally did, I just invis’d for my little 4 secs and trolled him off the ledge to his death and laughed as I walked outta your overlook untouched.

Really DR. You’re kittening about numbers, but yet how did you win all those weeks…..with NUMBERS. Let’s be honest here. You’re kitten because you’re not the winning server this week. Before today you were the Kaineng of two months ago putting your WIN all over the forums and bragging about how awesome you were in doing so. You say you don’t ZERG….but we all know EVERY server ZERGS. A zerg is a massive group of individuals mowing through an objective and I seen several tonight on your own borderlands.

You’re going to be here for another week, instead of pointing fingers and crying over spilt milk….why don’t you be the server that you started out as…the one that keeps on fighting without all the kittening about getting mowed down because you ran into your “bigger fish”.

Like I’m pretty sure I said somewhere else in this thread, DR is 3 tier’s higher than they were what, 3 weeks ago. Quit complaining that you ran into population….YOU knew it was going to happen eventually. BP at least knew this weeks ago and someone admittedly stated that they really didn’t want up into T4 until they knew they had the numbers to be able to counter the numbers that are present in T4.

Recruit, train, and move on.

And, for the record, Maguuma is more like a Monday night through Thursday night WvW server and reset night. If you all would have kept the heat up all weekend, the match would likely have been closer than it is now.

You clearly want to come to Maguuma. This way you too can beat up on Devona’s Rest for chest thumping your server for all those weeks.

Mag’s here for another week. Even though we’re winning, we’re losing rating. Guess everyone else will just have to re-learn how to work together or…..leave the sinking ship, which seems popular.

My main is a ranger and I use it primarily for WvW. Built into survivability using a LB and S/T for the offset melee. Don’t know why people have so much pain playing this class….unless they want the FOTM instawin class, then I can see the problem.

Create objectives that must be completed before moving onto the next objective or before it can be completed.

If I hadn’t been on DR for months, that’d mean I wouldn’t have started on DR. I’ve not been on DR since about 8 matches ago. Your expression of time is far fetched and way off. Plus like I said, who’s calling the kettle black again….PRO leaves upper tiers and moves to a “fair weather” server themselves, if DR could be considered even “fair weather” back then. Technically they were the bottom of the barrel as far as WvW goes, so what does that say about PRO.

Again, since it can’t possibly seem to sink in. I left DR when it was in a 2nd week win (maybe even 3rd week, can’t remember) (not when it was losing), so I can’t see how you can possibly compare the two instances of myself leaving and coming to Maguuma, with one stop over inbetween.

Anyways, hardly a troll or “harassment” as you state. At least I’m not bashing DR into submission and taking it.

Wait wait wait. Is this the same DR that was too good for T8? Too good for all the other servers that they zerged to death up to this tier? The same DR that are “too sexy for their shirt”?

I haven’t been on Maguuma long, but I’ve never seen a “truce” from anyone on this server. They play, and they win or lose for the fun of it. Why can’t you guys that are having a problem with this match from DR just come to the conclusion that you aren’t the GODS you thought you were and that you’ve gone up about as far as you will with your current population and tactical education. Because obviously one guild isn’t the reason you all have won every week with their constant rants of how bad DR really is behind your backs. And, if that one guild was the reason you did win, are they prepared to accept that they could be the reason you are now stuck where you are? Not a troll but a face of reality that if you’re going to accept the title of being the sole reason a server is winning, then you’ll take the responsibility of being the reason the server is losing.

There’s nothing wrong with how far DR got…they did well (even though they didn’t have much to fight against in the tiers below this one, much like Kaineng is seeing now). But now it’s time for the reality check in the situation and just deal with it. YES DR is going to lose this week, but you’re 3 tiers higher than you were 3 weeks ago, so is it really a true “loss”? Why DR puts up with the antics of one said guild is beyond me….they never did before said guild arrived.

Hrm. Seems that certain predictions and recent conversations this week are coming to light regarding another server in this matchup. I am hopeful it doesn’t destroy them as some don’t deserve it, but on the other hand they put up with it which means they’ve accepted it as being perfectly fine and normal.

There’s such a thing as being a ranger without one’s pet. The purpose of the pet is to provide extra dps or tank in particular cases, but a ranger shouldn’t be forced to have their pet constantly at their side, especially in the reference to above post “while hot footing through a zone”. However, I’m a Survivability build ranger and I don’t actually need my pet 100% of the time, so I’m just saying it’d be nice that when I put my pet away that it stays that way until I want it out….not when the game thinks I need my pet out. I mean should my pet coming flying out of thin air just because I dropped off a ledge further than “normal” range and it throws me into combat.

Can we get them where we don’t have to have them pop out automatically in combat. I mean I’d like a system to when I “put my pet away” that it stays that way until I want it out as pets aggro everything in sight and they also don’t “track” right next to their owners. Even when in passive as people will suggest to use, they may not attack but they do still aggro enemy mobs around them towards you.

Yeppers, not an exploit. If you go down there you’ll see a deliberate edge on the corner of the bottom of that tower. It’s been a widely used tactic that I’ve seen many times on and by various servers.

Yep, that lip in the bay water entrance is not an exploit. It’s a physical lip built into the bottom of the corner wall. Now if there wasn’t a wall lip there I’d be more inclined to believe exploiting was happening.

They tried….at reset…wasn’t pretty.

I’ve always wondered what the percentage is that you have to do to a mob in order to get credit for the kill. Some have said like a few hits, others have said like 20%. It’d be nice to have a more defined answer on it though.

T5 here we come. It may be a snooze fest with BP losing two major guilds (a 500 man guild went to Dragonbrand, and the other quit WvW) and DR being filled with a huge crap ton of chest thumpers because they’ve met limited WvW populations on their rise up through the tiers.

I will admit, like every server, we have “bad eggs” who use exploits, but I guarantee that the vast majority of our players don’t use them. They are like everyone else who play honest and fair. I’ve seen many people on other servers exploit, however, I don’t come ranting on forums about how such and such did this or that, I report them and then go on my way. That is how it should be. Don’t degrade AR players because certain known guilds or people exploit. I will tell you, they do not speak for the whole server.

It was brought to their attention then, and whatever they’ve done since then is their problem. Also, being experienced with DR (my home server), I know there are several using exploits within the large guilds (several peeps being removed from said guilds this past week alone for the use of them).

Exploiting is going on on ALL SERVERS. It isn’t better or worse or nominal anywhere else. It may be more noticable amongst smaller numbers because everyone knows everyone. I’m going to go with the majority of the posters here and say, PRO knock it off….you’re not helping DR with your constant YOU USED HAX comments. It’s life….someone loses, they find a way to get what they want, and most of these people live in basements or make a buck an hour…

Who are you? And why do you feel the need to comment on like every other thread lol. Maybe when we are playing you Friday I will want to hear what you have to say. Just because you abandoned this server doesn’t mean you can slander our name gor helping make it what it has become.

Look at the POT calling the KETTLE BLACK. Which server was it again that PRO abandoned to go to DR to become its “saviours”? And, how many people did PRO scalp from other guilds on DR to become as large as they were when rebuilding? And, so what you’re saying is YET AGAIN, is that if PRO hadn’t gone to DR they’d be nothing but a T8 server FOREVER….RIGHT? Because, that’s what it looks like you and your guild are trying to say which was why many of the already present large guilds had a problem with when you arrived on DR originally. Let me remind you that YOU ALL went to DR from a higher Tier that you couldn’t hack it apparently (cept for the guys you scalped from the other guilds). YOU brought your 15 or whatever commanders to DR and started TELLING them how things were going to be, instead of ASKING for mutual assistance. I’m pretty sure if PRO leaves or left DR that DR would be just fine without you, so don’t act or tell everyone on a public forum that YOU"RE the reason DR is winning like it is.

So who are you? OH yea, we’ve determined that YOU are a guild that believes they save everyone from themselves. And again, I left DR when they were winning and went to a server that was “losing” at the time and left that server when it was winning as well. At least I didn’t leave a server and cause such a vacuum that it caused an entire WvW community to feel the pain of a large guild abandoning their server.

Ratings should be reset every 6 months, like a tournament system. Mix the servers up between win/lose/middle across the tiers. Give everyone a fair chance to “reset” where their server sits in the tiers and re-rate. When 6 months is up, do it all over again. Or, find another system that matches WvW populations together and gives them some chance to fight against other similar WvW populations. Can’t use server pops because it’d be possible to find servers that primarily PvE and that would of course mess up the ratings.

OR, some other system that doesn’t allow a losing server to basically not play at all and lose and still be in 1st place in their tier (which I’ve seen often happen). THAT is not a rating system…THAT’s a JOKE.

I’m from DR originally, and fought BP both on DR and on Anvil Rock (recently). BP’s got some good numbers and DR hasn’t had a evenly matched WvW population to fight against (hence why they’re flying up in ranks).

They should (being AR), because BP roflstomped them for a very long time.

Ugh…I guess Mag is going to pull another, Tues to Thursday catchup session….I mean do we really want to go into T5 and have a snooze fest with DR and BP…

So I hear that DR is already claiming “be ready to be roflstomped” when they move up a tier and might get matched against Maguuma….

It’s still early in this week’s matchup and ask Dragonbrand what happened last matchup when they thought Maguuma was going down a bracket.

If it’s meant to be, I’ll welcome it….as I’ll be GASM hunting the entire week, and a few PRO too.

It would be people that are in the +16 to +22 EST time zones, or “oceanic” time zones. I wholeheartdly agree that AR needs more ADULT people, but that certain alliance (new alliance) members ran a lot of good players and guilds off of AR.

Also, if guild recruiting you may want to place that in the appropriate thread under the GUILDS area of the forums.

Make the walls, towering walls. Get rid of rock facings that have “steps” leading up a side wall and put those keeps/towers into the side of them with towering rock facings. Increase the vertical size of doors and doorways to accomodate.

Minor graphical fixes would be far easier to fix than to have to try to rework the terrain every week in the attempt to stop people from “walking” up walls and such. Do it once, not every week, and move on to more critical fixes for WvW….

Or you could go help out the EU servers that desperately need NA coverage….

Greetings potential members. Equal Opportunity Haters is recruting for players of a similar mindset for our Maguuma Chapter. We’re looking for players that can handle mature conversations (as we often find ourselves in) as well as those that are willing to give advice when asked for it in guild chat or over our teamspeak server. At current we are a 25 man guild after having left our founding server of Anvil Rock and several wanting to stay there. We have roots from Devona’s Rest back when they were a T8 server. We’re on Maguuma to stay.

Any classes welcome and any level. We’re in WvW about 70% of the time and field about 15 people on good nights. We’re into small tactics and generally hold towers for ourselves, plus we upgrade anything we claim. We do have the 30% PvE and use these times for farming runs, events, Fractals, or whatever else is going on that night.

If interested contact us on Maguuma if you’re already a resident or if you’re thinking about a new server, send a scout for a week and see if you’ll like it.

And for the record, I left DR when it was winning….so the leaving due to losing argument can’t be used here.

You know why I left DR and left GASM, but since you want to keep bringing it up I’ll make it perfectly clear for you. I left GASM because GASM’s GL allowed the use of exploits against its enemies in EB using the terrain exploit that allowed for the destruction of siege equipment without being able to be affected by others trying to kill said player. Since said player was a RL friend of the GL, said exploit was allowed. Even if the problem was originally dealt with at the time, YOU were one of the 50% of said guild to say ‘Give the guy a slap on the wrist and let’s move on’. Yes that’s right, YOU were okay with the use of the exploit and 50% of the rest of the guild. Several others also were not okay with that and left GASM, just some didn’t have the meddle to stay removed and quickly rejoined for fear of being lonely I suppose.

So, at the time there were 8 of us, maybe 10, and we all decided with the amount of exploits that a server with barely a WvW presence in use had to use to win, that we all (8-10 of us) leave the server. With DR throwing matches (working the numbers against rating increases) that solidified our reason for leaving the server. Unfortunately we ran into a tool alliance on Anvil Rock that didn’t “get it”. They apparently do now, but not really our problem. We left 50% of our guild behind on AR and moved up to Maguuma where we’ve found semblance in the WvW population. We like it here on Maguuma and we won’t be moving again.

Honestly I hope DR makes it to T4, but like other servers that have a sudden population growth and zerging your way through Tiers against servers with quite a bit less population in WvW as you, eventually you’re going to run into servers with population and your chest thumping will come to a dull pounding with screams of “they must have had transfers” and “we’re outnumbered” again coming from the denizens of DR.

Sadly the state of WvW is….population = rating and rating = your ability to move up. When you hit your population equal which I predict will be maybe high T6, that’s where you’ll be for some time until more people move into DR.

ZOMGS we’ve got new tactics…..we’ll see when you get into T6…tho I’m fairly certain you’ll probably stop at T6 with your current pop, maybe T5, but doubtful unless you get mass transfers again.

One AR commander has been filled in on DR tactics and strategies….courtesy of a former DR member. DR relies heavily on its zerg now, unlike 7 weeks ago. DR will eventually run into a population that will be comparible and it will be sooner than later, unless they continue to get more server transfers in which case they’ll be another BP for the short term.

Most of our enemies believe Devona had great transfers from other servers and that’s why we win. Which is not the actual reason behind devona’s rising.

Funny, Borlis Pass uses this same line as they continue to climb up. Yes DR had/has some great guilds and they became a lot more WvW active, and I’m sure a lot more people from PvE became more WvW active and connected, but if you honestly believe that DR has not gotten transfers in to help with the “numbers” game….then please send me some of those drugs.
