Score Update.

SoS does not get to defend upgraded keeps because DB’s NNK-o’clock wipes out their map just like it wipes Yaks. They are at the same disadvantage in the morning like you are. Our strongest time is most servers weakest times even FA could not deal with NNK time but FA’s NA crew was so large it could combat that. We managed to hold solid in 2nd in this tier for weeks against TC and FA slaughterfest. Yaks stay strong keep fighting, it’s what we did spending weeks on end against larger servers.

Love this week and next week will be just as fun. I do not even care about the inbalanced oceanics. DB has done the same thing to all the servers below us. Just a warning SOS get ready for the forum warriors on Maguma. They fight hard and dirty.

DB is focusing SOS more for one reason only… revenge. Doesn’t matter if the original guilds from back then are different. Those who were left behind and people who came after hearing about what happened hold a grudge. All around fun fights this week though I hope next week continues to be the same. This week is alot more balanced then the past week. It’s hard being the middle guy stuck in a tier for weeks on end but if this is the match up we will get more consistantly I for one will be happy.

Last night in EB was a blast. Had alot of fun teaming up with TG to match TC’s numbers for once. keep up the fun fights!

Seems everyone wants our Oceanics. They stuck with us through our downfall I doubt any will be going anywhere else soon. I do know that TC and FA have approached multiple guilds on DB to move servers. Funny part is all these guilds are NA prime which isnt’t really the bracket they need.

Hope everyone enjoys the upcoming battles and ignores the score boards. I am waiting patiently watching SOS … Praying .. Hoping…. They join DB soon in T3.

BTW, I was the one who was first hit by it and brought it to my guild’s attention. It was during our matchup with Ehmry Bay & Yak’s Bend where a certain norn elementalist from the [HELL] guild (which is now on FA) first used it on us during a badge-farm at Bluevale. SOOOO, if you wanna get technical – FA used it first on us.

You’re missing the point entirely. The point is, an entire guild used them to gain an unfair advantage and trying to draw a comparison between that and a rogue individual from any server using it is asinine.

I’m not crying about it at all – I actually kinda felt bad for the people who needed to use them. I just don’t think it’s accurate to brush it off and say “Well, some guy from FA did it first, so that gave our entire guild an excuse to drop down to his level.”

I’m just saying those who openly admit their whole guild was using them don’t really earn any respect or show integrity, period. Nobody is going to be surprised if we see EA out there spamming gears with NNK, basically.
The whole “you used it first” argument doesn’t really validate anything you said, it just makes EA look worse. All I got to say

Having fought Maguuma for a long time (magoona + phlegmry bay BFFs), having spent a week or so on DB, and then being trapped on Kaineng after an accidental transfer right before the deadline, I think can draw a few outlines on each server’s strengths.

Maguuma has almost no nighttime presence, but shines during the day.
Dragonbrand has a fine daytime presence and a lackluster but capable nighttime presence. They’ll put up a good fight, day and night.
Kaineng’s daytime presence is quickly learning, and at this moment seems to consist mostly of pugs; our nightcrew astounds. We’ll likely struggle to attack during the day, but I think our midnight crew will be able to overcome DB’s.

That said, I feel Cryneng’s going to take 1st, based solely on what I’ve observed. Wahgonbrand and the Magoobers will probably end up fighting over 2nd.

Also mag’s garrison defense was ridonkulous today. SO MUCH FUN. <3

Chinese New Year’s is this week. May explain “lackluster”.

… and Kaineng … I know you think you are safe at night but … you really shouldn’t leave omegas lying around in your Garrison like that. Such a waste 4 omega golems destroyed after taking your garrison in the middle of the night while you were busy trying to zerg the SE tower.

DB took Kaineng’s Garrison with outmanned buff. It started as a joke and turned into a bigger joke. I feel sadness for Kaineng, and like you our main force appears in the middle of the night while we NA sleep. The difference between us is that we had the opportunity to learn with each new tier and opponent. DB never really steamrolled through one tier we always had a good fight on our hands as we moved up. This is your NA ’s time to learn.

Our PvE population is large so maps are populated.

*Do players socialize much in PvE using map and/or local chat?

Yes

*Is there good communication in WvWvW between players/guilds?

Yes, the WvW guilds communicate and strategize for upcoming matches.

Our WvW players are quite dedicated even when things look bleak we are still fighting.

*Is the server active during Oceanic peak hours?

We have a great oceanic presence part of the reason we get double teamed during NA hours alot. Because of this we all have become strong at defense.

*Is there a wide variety of guilds, namely PvX ones, to choose from on the server?

Yes.

I’m been on Mag for a week now (original Yaks player but doing map completion before it gets difficult).

Just reading over map chat is just downright embarrassing – all the arrogance and taunting – It will be hilarious to see how many Magg jump off the bandwagon as soon as they hit some real competition that is appropriate for their tier. They obviously do not belong to t4, and may very well get steamrolled in t3. Just look at Dragonbrand who last week steamrolled through t4 (granted, with a powerful night team) and just lost it all this week. Now I hear people are jumping ship off Dragonbrand?

Oh well, have fun with the bandwagoners.

DB is in second and staying in t3. We haven’t lost guilds lol. CD has lost guilds and is going down. Don’t know where you got your info but it is wrong.

Hopefully a certain guild on a certain server will grow up and not have to resort to using mini golem bombs in WvW.

There is a certain Norn Ele on your server who gave us the idea. I am pretty sure he came from Yaks Bend (who transfered to FA). You can thank him for the use of golems by a couple of us. Though I’ve seen more than a few on FA using them. Until they are nerfed everyone is gonna have to get use to them. Hopefully, it will happen soon cause they are SO annoying.

I would like to officially THANK ANET!!! for fixing our Hills on Dragonbrand Borderlands by doing that new build. It has been glitched up until now since reset night. We can properly defend our hills without having to hold the south supply camp. If you were wondering what the problem was… we were unable to recieve any supply from Astral forcing us to recieve supply only from the south. Very hard to upgrade a Keep when forced to keep a camp right next to the enemies spawn. To everyone on Dragonbrand, we did the best we could during this situation.

The thing about Dragonbrand that I think sets us a bit apart from other servers is that we are growing slowly. We climbed the tiers slowly adjusting to each new level staying in each tier for the most part more than a week. We have the foundation for a stable WvW server mainly you can see this in our coverage. It is a place to grow and learn WvW , rarely do you see anyone hating in chats. Coming here as a guild or a person you would be joining a strong server with the potential to reach higher tiers.

We also have a large PVE population.

Good fights in the DB BL last night. Every time DB tried to take Bay, we tried to ninja in there and steal it from them. Every time, DB pulled out and went straight back to hills before we knew what was going on.

But we got it all back in the end. Still, props to the DB commander for making the right calls to get out of Bay when they saw us coming in for a 3-way fight.

We’d get into a scrap with CD and someone would yell on teamchat: “DB AT HILLS!” and it was already too late to get back in time.

But for some reason, you guys had a really tough time holding the keep once it was yours. Still made for some epic fights, though.

Yes, we do have problems with hills and every single player on DB knows why.

You mean the hills we’ve had since reset? I kinda like it there it’s very roomy. I am proud of our server if this is our one and only achievement in this tier. Holding another borderlands keep for more than two days. The amount of golems and other seige CD has been throwing at it makes me feel kind of bad about the whole situation.

On another note.. I am kind of disappointed in this tier. I’d much rather go down tiers, the fighting is more tactical and less massive zerg vs zerg. Even down one tier you didn’t use a zerg of 30 to cap a camp.

Just a heads up to CD. You seem to have been infected with the [redt] guild. Reported and screenied one of their commanders on top of hills outer wall fighting a couple of us.. He jumped off.

DR finally hit a wall and lost a match on its way up demolishing underpopulated servers with DRs xfers they got while in Tier8. It was during this matchup when this Drednyte guy xfered off DR to a higher tier.

Things got rough and he couldnt faceroll dead or dying servers anymore, so he packed his bags to higher tier.

Ahhh…i think i remember you Xiir. Wasnt you originally on Kaineng back when it was a 10 week fight between DR/Kain/FC? Wanna say it was Kaineng you was on. I’ll give you credit for a partial truth, there was a DR population advantage in the last 3-4 weeks of that matchup, but the first half was balanced Wv3 population with slight disadvantage to Fergs. You were one of the primary QQn babies about losing then all of a sudden up and jumped ship to a, as you just put it, “a higher tier”. We were all ok with that as you never were anygood outside of a zerg. But then you kept jumping back down into our tier forums posting your useless rhetoric of self imposed ideas and suggestions. Like anyone really cared, folks kept posting for you to stay out of the forums but of course, you didnt.

I know Drednyte from when we were matched up. He is vocal but he’s almost always said he wanted a balanced 24/7 coverage server to be on. His guild moved DOWN in tier to DR and helped pushed it up to T5. I’ve been told he left the guild he was in due to internal disagreements and he left DR because it’s coverage failed to meet his desired gameplay. He looks to have transfered to Yak’s Bend, but wow..if he was looking to move “up to a higher tier”, as you put it, why would he move to the 3rd place server in that tier group which will probably be pushed down a tier in 2-3 weeks? Seemed a bit of failed logic on your point.

Maybe you should stick to your zergs and keep your comments on others that you obviously fear in game, wish you could be more like, or whatever your reason for continuously bashing another player. Oh, top psychiatrist have thesis papers on why folks bully/bash others: in lamens terms, they’re either jealous of them or want to emulate them but cant.

Anyways..when we, Kaineng, gets up there with DB I cant wait to run into those WAR tags. I hear you’re still zerging and my little group of fellas will so enjoy playing tag with you.

PS: Please dont jump ship back to Kaineng when we roll over your DB asian night crew with our own. You’re lame “Kaineng will always be my home” is garbage, you bailed on us now stay gone. I’ve heard from reliable sources they’re great in a zerg, but crumble quick when they meet resistance. Our late crew doesnt crumble.

Not trying to brag here but if anyone came up DB pending more NA transfers would be the best canidate.. Simple enough we have the Oceanic coverage to handle it. Our Oceanic guilds do have experience in higher tiers, I am pretty sure they will enjoy the challenge again. We still lack NA coverage though our NA crew is used to being double teamed hard during this time as it is the best strategy for the servers facing us. Yaks would do well as well but lack the Oceanic coverage (and this is harder to get through transfers). DB is where it belongs at the moment.

Its funny how dragonbrand tries to use exploits, and they do, and they deflect it with “spies”. Yesterday, i saw 5 dragonbrand peeps ranged attacking the tower commander on redbriar. Note: They have no peeps inside the tower.

So anyways, they kill the commander and his guards, without using any siege, there have no ppl inside the tower since im right next to them, and BAM, the tower flipped from blue to Dragonbrands.

I asked in map chat “How did you guys claim that tower without using any siege or ppl to even step on the green circle”. They said “We have a mesmer inside”. Well if they had a mesmer inside wouldnt it make sense to portal that 6 man team inside the tower instead of them shooting the commander thru the wall?

Agreed. Report these so called exploiters. Stop sitting in the forums accusing DB. Do something about it. DH has been with us for how many weeks and complained how many times about DB exploiting? Pretty much my conclusion is that you were burned bad by some other server by exploits so automatically assume everyone exploits. Well, guess what … We don’t. Actually NSP has shown good skill on tactics, they do need to work on overall strategy. If they had better coverage they definitely belong in a higher tier or 2. I have yet to see anything worth mentioning from DH. All they do is zerg. Either way, being that there server is practically full, I don’t see them moving up a tier because it is harder to keep and get new offtime players.

I would have to agree with this. NSP has shown that they have the best tactics. DH is predictable running in huge zergs, using portal bombs, and golems to get whatever they want. DB spends all of our time defending whatever we can during NA time against high numbers. I do not understand why DH comments seem to butthurt about our oceanic players when essentially I see your server doing exactly what our Oceanics do. I have seen DH take our entire borderlands in 30 mins then move on to NSP I the same amount of time. I think the real winners regardless of the score is NSP.

No butthurt involved. Still they persisted in posting about double teams despite the reason why being explained several times in various different ways.

Complaints about double teaming are getting tiring. It’s not intentional and there is no conspiracy. It happens to every single server at one point or another. Learn to deal with it or don’t play.

No one thinks it is a conspiracy. It’s just happening. Last night DB took Veloka and were smacked down by both NSP and DH zergs on both sides. Neither were fighting. It was rather funny. I was standing in the middle with a couple other people laughing. We scare you guys this much?

If you are looking at NSP and DH. You should go with NSP, if you went with DH you would be doing nothing but joining their prime time zerg. DB you would be on opposite hours of our prime time .
