Is there a bug that the 6th trait of this rune doesnt function in water? When on land, the 6th rune turns blue but in water it is grayed out.

as far as i am concerned, the warrior is a melee character. the whole lot of people who complain about them are mostly range players, who somehow never kept their distance and allowed the warrior to come to close. To me, thats your fault. Dont expect the warrior to have to cover the distance to meet you at melee range only to melee with pathetic damage. Plus covering the distance means we have to take damage too.

So really, to those to play range character, learn to play and keep your distance. And dont go playing a range character with a melee weapon and come crying because you dont have a chance against the warrior.

You dont know how hard it is sometimes when we need to cover ground just to get the melee distance. It can sometime take 1/3 of our health or more to do that.

The problem with range jobs. is with warriors stability…. and – duration cripple, immob. chill trait.

Any ranged jobs only got mostly 2 immob skill with a 2 sec duration at max
Chill skill mostly are ground target u can dodge rolled it easily
Cripple the duration is too short
Ward and knockback u can go through it with stability

And what i hate the most is how the hell i can stop a warrior when he using berserker stance and balanced stance at the same time when using Rush it’s a 2sec insta 1200 range…. and u’re saying u have to take damage to close the gap? even if’re not using GS u still can throw bolas come easily with shield stance…

So how can i solo kite a wr…. if u’re that good in kiting maybe i’ll need to learn from u a lot… from my point of view GW2 range jobs can only kite pve mobs (not all of them).

What I’m saying is that. Wr need a lot of nerf (at least in stability or condition) or change their trait line a bit. their good trait is to accesible and too good… especially the trait line In defense and tactics.

A full defensive trait with zerk gear are the one mostly used somthing like this

And dev say warrior can’t do both (survival and damage) I’ll kill anyone to get my ele to get that kind of final stats…

Even with dolyak signet and balanced stance they got a 16 sec stability (without trait) with trait adding one extra balanced stance and extra 25% duration for stance they got a 28 sec stability in total… and 10 sec of almost immune condition…
1. They’re thick as hell due to regen
2. They hurt as hell
3. They stun like hell ( try fight against a group of 3 good coordinated wr player. they’ll stun lock 5 people to dead easily)

The only job i can think of, which easier to defeat Wr is mez

Dude…all i can say is, one on one melee, dont expect a medium or light armoured individual to win the fight. There is no way you expect that to happen. If that happens, what the hell will anyone role a warrior. Then the whole game might as well be ranged characters. Just because we can gain stability means we can only engage one individual. If you are the unlucky one, too bad. But think…what happens after we down one person?….

btw…our range weapons are really slow.

i am right now torn between pushing critical damage to 100% or keeping my 45% boon duration which gives me a 4.5 sec cooldown on signet of rage. Boon duration is a very powerful attribute in dungeon runs.

nice. i need to get me self some ascended trinkets. I like your 100b. I only get about 26k when bloodlust is at 25, signet of fury is enabled and might stack is 25. That puts my power about four five five zero without any food.

Sorry, what i meant when i change my weapon is after stacking 25 power with sigil of bloodlust, i change out the GS to another GS with sigil of blood. I have also tried just using the gs with the sigil of blood without stacking power first. Both does not work.

I understand that if you use two sigil that procs only on crits, which ever that procs, there will be a cooldown of 10 sec. But my case does not fall into this scenario.

i did not perform any weapon swap, just straightly on the gs. It should start trying to proc when i start hitting criticals. Only when it procs does the cooldown kicks in. Where did you get the info that I have to be in battle for 10 secs before it works?

I have an important question. Has anyone tried using sigil of blood on a gs? After stacking 25 mights, i change my weapon to one with a sigil of blood, but i have never once seen it work? My crit chance base is 65%

Earthshaker ... 35% nerf

Yes. Staggering blow/earth shaker are being hit heavily. The reason stated was, “We don’t mind warrior doing big damage. We don’t mind them doing massive Cc..we just don’t want them to do both easily.”

The irony being all major lvl bosses are defiant/unshakable. Hell, theire is even add’s in HoTW that aren’t bosses and they are immune to CC…so basically against any type of over size or boss target in PvE..you’ve been nerfed hard. Be glad you never invested in the juggernaut on warrior..cause it is soon to become a near obsolete weapon in dungeons/fractals.

A lot of the hate towards hammer came from WvW and PvP. WvW is a fair source to get feedback from. PvP has a population of o.5%..so not exactly a large crowd of people to base a nerf off..especially one that is not a mere shave.

I agree, one of the biggest problem anet did not do was keep PvE totally separate from WvW/sPVP.

I am based in Asia Pac, so the servers I am playing are American. European servers a laggier. It doesnt happen all the time, but it happens about 50% of the time when i am going against champions solo. I havent even started mentioning about hits that are not registering. Eg. 100 blades on a champs back when he is literally right infront of me, but the hits suddenly registers when he does a instant 180 degree turn to face me and by then 75% have gone to waste.

btw, in our country, our internet downloads are unlimited. No caps.

Server side should and must always give priority to client side when dodging in PvE. kitten kitten es me off every time i am in mid dodge animation i get knockback by veterans or champions. Its a joke when you are doing a roll (not just starting but literally half way through) and bang you go flying. If its a Latency issue, then client side data should take precedent over server side calculations.

i dont think its wise to push your ranger build to stack might on itself. Its not design to do that and even if you did, its not a constant stack that you can achieve like using an engineer for example. You are better of pushing towards critical chance, which i believe is what the ranger was first designed to be and then use this advantage to stack might on your pets and trait on the advantages you can get from hitting criticals.

i think whether or not bomb does more damage is not really the point. Grenades are much more versatile. Even if bomb kit does more damage, but the fact that you are standing so close to the mobs means you need to have good armour and vitality. And this will make your bomb kit weak. Using grenades means you can attack from a distance, put out a lot of condition damage, stack vulnerability like a boss, put out heaps of might and yet providing your allies massive support from F1,F2,F3 from elixir. Alot of people think engineers are crap in dungeons. If you play HGH/grenades setup, an engineer is extremely useful to have.

I can tell you rangers are useless lot in dungeon. I have one and i feel myself useless with my guild members in dungeons.

I think the best build for engineer imho is HGH build. Good for PvE and WvW. I dont play sPVP because of the lag.

All PVT gear (with might or boon duration mixed runes) with PVT trinkets and. Elixirs to stack might for grenade. I believe that engineer is actually the true condition giving king. You can single handedly give 6 different kinds of conditions and stack vulnerability and might of at least 20 on your own.

Are there any decent dps non zerker builds?

but i still cannot find how on earth can the ori be located there because it is near the edge of the map. I know of the entrance in the valley near the water fall where there is a bit of jumping and some looter's chest available, but its no where near the ori ore.

target is standing 5ft 1o’clock position (with red ring) but arrows starts firing at monsters any where in front between the angle of 10 – 2 o’clock regardless if within range or not and definately further away then the selected target.

I dont know if I should report it here, but Anet you need to look into this. I do not understand why it has gotten so bad. When using a ranger and I have targeted a monster (a red ring) why is the ranger firing at another target, one that is further away too. It becomes very hard to play when there is a mob because the ranger’s shot becomes very erratic with one shot here and one shot there. At times, it will fire at an enemy out of range or even nothing eventhough a target infront has been selected. Often I waste alot of special shots at nothing or at something that is out of range. Imagine seeing your rapid fire with 10 times “out of range” when clearly there is a monster in front of you.

for condition build i have one set of armor and two sets of trinkets. I do this is so that i dont get too bored with my ranger, tho i have other characters too.

my armor stats are CD/Precision/Toughness with rune of the undead. My 1st set trinkets are rabids and another set is full berserkers. My SB carries a sigil of corruption and my axe and torch each carries a sigil of bursting and malice.

Again, it depends on your play style. I like to dodgy in and out and strife around. So dodging in to bonfire, splitblade, dodge out, throw traps, swap to SB, dodgy in, poison volley, dodge out or quick shot, couple of shots with SB on skill 4 or 5, swap back to axe. etc…

This is my build. Unfortunately, we have to waste a skill slot for the 25% speed boost. I think its unfair as it should be in the traits.

Sometimes i may swap signet of hunt with poison trap. Sometimes I may swap Wilderness Survival “Hide in plain sight” with “off hand training”. It gives almost constant burning from throw torch, bonfire and flame trap.

With about 50+ precision, i think its better to go for companion’s might then sharpened edges. And Master’s bond is like sigil of bloodlust for your pet. I have another built (96% CC with fury) where i solo a champion and my bear was putting 1950 power. That is almost 575 power (some magical coordination between long bow and short bow casting skills which i dont remember). The damage it was doing was fabulous. Like a tank. tough and strong. With this built, condition build, i will give only about 250 might on crits not including any stacks from master’s bond.

how on earth do you get 2500dps on condition alone. even if you include your bow dps, its very hard to achieve. Unless you are stacking CD with sigil. Even my condition build of 1600 (no stack), my condition damage is about 750-800 fire, 450 bleed and poison about 300. (This includes a +6% CD damage from sigil) SB is putting out about 300 because this build was made with everything on CD.

I just want to say that the hammer build now is just about ok. Nerfing earthshaker is not a good move. The reason being after the stun, the time it takes for attack hammer swing is slow and thus loosing about 1 sec of the stun. Worse is, when the hammer swing after earthshaker doesnt register. No idea why and it happens alot. Thus all the stun time i have from earthshaker is gone to waste.

Are there anyone else who notice that the ranger at times to so freaking stupid that it chooses a target further away then the one that is closer. Also, there are many times that there is an monster in front (like literally in front smacking me) and it decides to fire a shot at another which is far away to argo it. The problem is when you dodgy or strife, the selected target is deseelcted….why?..i dont know. Stupid Anet programming. and so when you hit button 1….the ranger fires a shot at sometime else rather then the one thats closest and infront of you.

And also can we have the pet not engage unless we engage eventhough it is being attacked. Besides have the attack/friendly button which i think just think adds unnecessary clicking.

eh?…the game play is one that is of strategy. You can stay and fight till you drop, or you can play with a bit more head. I believe his mates will also do the same and run to get a quick recovery before reentering the fray. Its how you utilise your skills to the advantage. You tell me you will continue to stand there pressing skill 1 while waiting for others to cooldown? You will be dropped in 3 secs and you might as well not be there assisting at all.

What are your thoughts of using this shout. I think its a very good skill because it gives 10 stack vulnerability which equates to 10% more damage. Isnt doing an additional 10% damage almost equate to 7-8 stacks of might…..about an additional 250 power to achieve this?

However, the GS is a great weapon to initiate attack. Bladetrail than Rush followed by hundred blades before switching over the hammer for tight melee combat. Then swapping back to GS only for the hundred blades than back to hammer. To me…bows and rifles are a waste of time in PvE. Just get straight into action and obliterate the monsters.

I always bring a longbow as backup. Some of the encounters in dungeons absolutely hate melee users, to the point where you have so little uptime your DPS will be actually better with a Longbow.

Well yea..you carry one just in case it is required for that particular dungeon play section. But mostly, its straight up hammer and gs.

I have seen the graph and the explanation from the ranger forum doesn’t mean anything (what ladder to the left and right…etc). The graph regardless is just to read the multiplied damage during crits that are attainable. Nothing more. What I am saying is why do people push CD over CC. High CC and low CD is much better then High CD and low CC. Also, with high CC, you get a lot more crits happening. And with a lot more crits, you get the trait your character to benefit from these crits that happen so open.

A clear example is when my ranger crits. Its got a base of 60% CC and 50 CD. I crit so often that I can give my pet up to an additional 200-250 power via might. When I was running rampager, my CC was 95+ with buffs with CD remaining the same. The damage and sound it gave off was intoxicating. A guaranteed 8 out of 10 hits were criticals.

I think the game mechanics does damage almost the same amount but in different methods. My CD build ranger has 50+ critical damage and 50+ critical chance hits about 300-400 and with crits about 600 (1/2sec). That is 1200dps. Condition damage from fire, poison and bleed is about 600, 400, 300 (bleed on stacks). I am not too sure what damage my pets are doing, but because i crit quite often, i add might to my pet when i crit. I can put as much as 200-250 power on my pet.

When i was a rampager build, my critical chance was 65+% and using sigil of precision and other buffs, the highest i achieved was almost 100%. Shortbow was doing about 750 on crits but my ranger was very squishy. It was fabulous hearing the crits sound, but i notice champs will almost turn their attention to me within 3 secs, then i will running in circles like a coward…lol

people say its OP are mad. indeed with 25 stacks of might, you can indeed whip someones kitten pretty badly…but managing it and getting it right is the most difficult part whilst fighting.

I play pve with HGH build and i can get about as high as 20 stacks by myself. but thats for a short while only.

22 stacks of might….not bad. What sigils? I tried HGH build but can only hold about 12-16 stacks of might average considering my might duration is 85% longer. maybe i am just not coordinated enough.
