They have roamers, but they have no respect. They have will run you down when solo no matter how long it takes, add on your fights, emote, jump on your body, etc.

I for one not going to deny that it does happen occasionally, not just during roaming but zerging as well whenever there are new folks joining in. The experienced ones will tell the newb to stop the taunting & grow up, most of them will listen, but some will just continue. I’m sorry that you come across such kiddies, but I will like to let you know that there are some of us roamers do practice basic courtesy during dueling, so don’t stop roaming

Depends on your play style. I go zerker D/D when roaming, & Knight/Valkyrie SB during sieges.

This is strange, I did not have to dodge a lot during phase 2, same for my pug members – ele, necro, engineer… we just did the following:
1) ranged attack – yes it takes time, but it minimise wiping & easier to dodge out of aoe range.
2) spread out – do not group together. According to my observation, around 2-3 were not targeted by aoe & could attack lupi without dodging.
3) watch youtube/read wiki on lupi – understand how & when lupi attack during 3 phases helps. There are a couple of time where we paused for 5-10 mins before fight to let first timers familiarise with lupi. The experienced have their breaks, the first timers have more confidence & the fights are usually smoother. Win-win.

Probably bugged. Yes, you may have to reset a couple of times. I’ve run P4 around 5 times & did some counting, the key is to start herding sparks the moment Simin does her spinning animation before going into invisibility, bcos the 1 minute countdown to get her hp below 50% mark/30-35% mark/10% mark starts from then.

It’s my fave dungeon, I get all my knight armors for my knight/valkrie setup from there.

There was a test ring in gw2db which requires LV.100 to equip. That’s all I heard about it.

Heck, almost all released ascended items are rated lvl 82, & I’m currently equipping them.

Imo Rangers are awesome when situation calls for survival. There was once where some guy at the front triggered off all the mines at CoF P3, knocking out 3 of us who were running behind & a Ranger survived. Bcos we were deemed as in combat, we were unable to respawn & the poor ranger had to solo the drake pet. It took him ard 15 mins, & we could respawn without running through the mines again.

First come, first get it, & pray it’s someone who know how to play his/her character well.

I blame some online guides for suggesting at least 10AR for level 10-19, I used to run lvl 10-12 without AR while saving up relics for infused capacitor. Well, it’s karma for them :p

I got the achievement within 2 events, by firing AoE attks (i.e. Cluster bombs & daggerstorm for Thief) at right moment, which is a few seconds after Shatterer raised its right paw forward while it is on the ground, where 5 closest objects (incl mesmer clones & pets) will be encased in crystal.

Imo, Thieves strive in situations that require speedy burst over short distances & short non-aggroing maneuvers, plus some dps support & defense against projectiles. With some practice with shadow stepping skills, familiarity with dungeon/fractal maps & most important of all, learning to work with other team mates, I believe Thieves can contribute to success of the team. Personally I find working with Elementalists is best to dish out huge AoE dmg with multiple conditions.

Some examples : Shadow Refuge, together with speed buffs, can help whole team to skip trash mobs in TA, CoF, SE & Arah easier, or stealthing 2 folks who are hacking console & bomb runs of underground fractal; Smoke screen are good to have when fighting projectiles hurling mobs, especially harpies at uncategorised fractal, where we used to take turn to conjure reflection/absorption walls to minimise being knocked out of platforms; Shadow-stepping skills such as Infiltrator’s arrow can help in covering short distance faster, especially operating buckets at underground fractal boss fight, getting the wisp at eastern part of map alone, without aggro many hatchlings & clearing laser floor trap at beginning of CoE.

Oh, conversing with NPC is just 1-2 mins each time, & they are along the way while doing quick dailies, or in LA while taking short breaks in between fractals/WvW. Some of their dialogues help to make sense of the some changes/additions in Wayfarer’s/Dessa’s maps, especially the huge dredge-like fortresss/factory at the Wayfarer’s gateway to Dessa.

In addition, the background stories of the 2 buried objects seem to imply something much bigger & action-packed is coming our way. Can’t wait XD (sharpening weapon & grinning maniacally)

The real fun is figuring out the clues dropped during conversing with NPCs & taking note of the changes in landscape along refugees’ path. I can somewhat figure what next installments are about, especially the 2 NPC lead characters which we are supposed to assist, whose races coincides with the current 2 unlocked buried objects. The background stories of these 2 objects seem to imply that we may finally get to play with some decent sized enemy force, unlike the current invaders instances which are solo-able.
Can’t wait to figure out the clues from next 4 buried objects.

I like how Living Story is being played out – it’s like playing a game based on every epic disaster/zombies movies, except the events are carried out in somewhat real time instead of fast forwarding here & there.
I like how the initial moment carried out – refugees coming in, without any real clue what’s going on, slow & easy, so the rest of Tyria just nod it off as something trivial & live life as usual. Then things start to get interesting when small advance forces of invaders start showing up, & finally the main force shows up, catching most folks off-guard because no one expect the refugee/invader issue can be really serious. I think this is where ‘defender’ role will come in. Ain’t we all love to be heroes (or villian. I’d like to play one "p)?
Meanwhile I still take some time to converse with NPCs & storing collectibles, secretly hoping there is some secret achievement to get (i.e. ‘Speedy Reader’ of Ebonhawke)

My fave are still Weyandt’s Revenge & Fawcett’s Bounty, a chance to live my childhood fantasy of how it’s like to be one of pirate treasures hunting kids in ‘The Goonies’ ^^

After weeks of resisting paying gold to get past Simin, finally get Dungeon Master done with a pug group, with 2 of them first time P4.

Yes, all Arah are now doable without all in DPS gear

I’d usually hide at blindspots (protip: don’t run around bends recklessly like a mindless zergling), pew pew pew with pistols, immoblise & finish off with heartseekers. Did all these without need for stealth, because most folks are just turning around confused. Seriously, be prepared for ambush even when surrounding objectives are in your server’s color.

Here’s how I got 5 dailies done within 30+ mins:

1) Port to Dolyak Pass WP at Wayfarer Foothills:

• Kill 40 Shiverpeak Mobs – there are ‘Gathering Storm’ events that take place southwest of WP, around two events in 10 mins (I scored an average of 15 kills per event). While waiting in between two events, you can kill off nearby dolyaks/wurm hatchlings/ice elementals or join in event at Kevach’s Homestead.

2) Port to Butcher’s Block WP at Diessa Plateau:

• KIll 40 Ascalon Mobs – Again, there are ‘Gathering Storm’ events that take place northeast of WP, around two events in 10 mins. While waiting in between two events, you can kill off wolves/harpies/separatists near the waypoint or join in event at Butcher’s Block.

• Event Mentor – fulfilled requirement while doing above 2 dailies – 2/3 from Shiverpeak, 2/3 from Ascalon (or wait a bit longer for 3rd Gathering Storm event)

3) Port to Shadow Inn Waypoint WP at LA:

• Daily Puzzle Jumper – Urmaug’s Secret JP is just north of WP, behind the waterfall. This is a very easy JP that requires you to just jump up.

4) Port to Trader’s Forum WP at LA:

• Recycler – Buy salvage kit from merchant & work on loots from killing mobs at Shiverpeak & Ascalon.

There, easy 5 dailies done.

Completing 1 Jumping Puzzle is the second easiest Daily after Visiting A Laurel merchant. 2 good reasons to spend around 5 mins in LA ^^

Try this if you haven’t already. Its totally awesome if you get the opportunity:

1) spy a small enemy team running supply to get up ninja cats/rams/golems.
2) when they all run off to the supply camp, destroy the build site and put down an identical build site of your own in exactly the same place.
3) Now hide! (make sure you can see them running back with supply.)

Its worth the money just to see the invisible WTF bubble over their heads.

I confess that I spend more time roaming in small group than helping out to take down/defend objectives for past two nights (Oceanic/Asian timeslot), had some fun skirmishes with other roaming groups. So props to Yaks & EB roaming groups for enjoyable fights
