Anet hates guardian shield, although I do like the new cooldowns it has, makes it a bit more viable.
I’d prefer if they just changed it into a regular ground targeted tele without having to tele near an ally. If they did that i’d use it more.
Well we’ll become condition fodder now that spammable conditions an reach 5k per tick it only takes 2 ticks to kill us now.

I find it pretty ridiculous that they nerfed us this hard. I’m especially mad about the amplified wrath and might of the protector nerf…..WHAT THE HELL! I loved those traits and now they are ruined. A 1 second CD on it is a huge hit =\
ANET, if you are reading this fix this kitten before its too late.
Honestly if nothing is fixed and we keep getting slapped around by other classes and nerfed to hell it’ll tempt me to main something else.

i want it reverted, I loved using it the way it was before.
I like the name Dragonbane, I think Anet should go for it. Then again I didnt really have a problem with the name Dragonhunter in the first place.
I really like the 4 skill that you have mentiond, if it had a knockback as well then it’d be even better.
I just keep thinking that if they don’t do something for conditions, stun breaks, or both, the dedicated trapper won’t even live long enough to be a ‘fad build’.
I can see this happening already. I really like the idea of being able to use these new kinds of traps on guards, however they lack the special abilities that meditations provide that can enable some sustain. If traits like the ones listed above were implemented it could increase the desirability of traps and the dragonhunter spec overall.
We need traits for traps that can provide condi clears (more then one condi hopefully), reduced cool down, and if we are lucky swiftness since guards are slow as heck. I understand travelers runes are available but then that would severely reduce your rune choices in future builds.
You could try a medi-condi build? or maybe a shout or signet build though i don’t really know any.
Medi is good because it gives you healing, condi clear as well as fury.
I think you are also forgetting about your speed when you are not using your traps. Yes if you use them you get superspeed but that might create a situation where you want to engage but all your traps are on cooldown.
could be a rune set that causes stealth at low hp ?
DragonHunter is beginning to grow on me, however I feel like DragonKnight might be a better name.

I doubt Anet would give out Azureflames to everyone because it would destroy the value of the weapon already in game.
I knew long bow was coming from a long way away so I made an azureflame a few months ago.

Judges intervention can help you land some hits. Cast the hammer skill and then use JI and it should allow you to land some burst but that is only in some situations.
I’d like something like this:
Shield of Judgment
- Heal up to 5 allies and grant them Fury
- Cripple up to 5 foes.
Great synergy with e.g. AH and offers an OH with soft CC which Guardians lack.
Shield of Absorption
- Scrap #5.2
- Cast a dome of light which grants nearby allies Aegis and Blinds/Knock backs nearby foes.
- Dome lingers for x seconds and absorbs projectiles.
Many possible synergies (Aegis / Blind traits) but keeps the core functionality.
Honorable Shield / Stalward Defender
- Reduce Shield cooldown.
- Grant nearby allies 3s of Protection when your Aegis is removed while whielding a shield.
Sets itself aside from Focus by providing group utility.
I like the idea of the shield 5 lingering and not rooting us, would provide some nice protection from ranger pew pew’s
Not every class has a run speed trait but ya most seem to. I have traveller’s runes and they seem to do the trick, maybe you should try testing them out on your gear and see how you like them.
I think the shield skills for Guardian should be rebuilt, not completely, but they need some more added utility to make them better. I am one of those Guardians who has a Flameseeker prophecies and I would love to be able to use it more (footsteps please?).
I think the added aegis would be great because it would allow us to actually have a block which is what a shield should be able to do. Maybe even lower the cooldown time of the skills a bit, maybe a few seconds 2-3?
I like the absorption/knock back feature of the shield 5 skill, However it still needs more to make it worth taking over the focus which gives us really good burst damage.
As for the shield 4 skill maybe give it the ability to burn or blind? as well as apply aegis? That would give it some more utility that it currently lacks.
Simple fix for zealots defense would be to make it block all attacks while active but shorten the block time slightly.
(and by block I mean make it block, the fact it simply absorbs makes it not interact with any traits)
Them simply up the projectile speed slightly.
I like this idea, seems like it would synergize well with a lot of the block traits.
I’m kind of excited to see how slow will effect the use of hammer builds. However I do agree that removing glacial heart might be the wrong move to make. I thought it was a cool trait to have, the only thing that bugged me about it was that I would lose the fury up time. Since the meditation traits are being rolled into one that fixes the problem.
I don’t know if any Dev’s will read this but I thought it would be a cool idea to give guardians equal access to both burning and chill. It would allow us to open up new avenues toward condition builds and it would be really cool!
When I made my legendary shield I knew guardians shield skills were not the best. I still love my shield but it would be nice if I could use it in more situations.

ive sold a couple ascended inscriptions to make money, i didnt really go out of my way to gather the mats either, just mine nodes if i pass by, sold 2-3 ascended inscriptions so far got around 32-36 gold each.
