I have a question about Binding Blade. There have been times I’ve activated Binding Blade’s pull, and the enemy didn’t come to me. I know some mobs have immunities to that type of thing, but on mobs it should work on, it won’t. Like, I’ll be able to pull in an enemy in one instance, and in the next, the enemy won’t come.

You’re all making good arguments, and I’m taking everything into consideration. I’m not looking for one gear set for every build. I’m looking for one gear set for my one build. I’m 0/10/30/30/0 traited, and I’m trying to have my stats as optimal as possible.

When I first started playing Guardian, I used berserker’s armor. I quickly learned that devoting to only a select few stats wouldn’t get me far as a Guardian. I’m now using different pieces of gear to boost up all my stats to certain levels. The reason I’m so tempted to buy the penant, is because it’s so universal. Each stat is equally boosted, rather than three having their attributes upped.

The other way I can look at it, is that by having a necklace with more focused stats is I can boost my dps. I’m more of a fight and kite guardian. I use GS and scepter/shield. I switch to my staff when I need AoE damage.

More help would be appreciate :-D

I would suggest figuring out ways to get your HP to at least 15k~. Your stats are well balanced, nothing high or low. I’ve never been at 3k armor before, and I don’t think it makes me significantly weaker. being 2800~. You can drop some of your armor for an increase in other stats. I don’t think with the build you’re aiming to have, divinity runes would be the best option. I currently use soldier runes, but I will be switching to divinity runes. The reason I believe it won’t be beneficial to you, is because you’re opting to support more than anything. Look into runes that give your party members heals or boons. As far as critical chance goes, 33% should be the lowest you ever go, so you have a 1/3 chance of scoring a critical. With you at 45%, the chance of a crit is pretty high. You could drop some of your crit for vitality (pow/vit/crit%) gear. You could easily get 6%+ more critical damage

I started doing Fractals this week, and it’s been okay so far. I just hit level 7, and I was wondering what can I achieve from continuing to do Fractals? The reason I even started doing it was for the Fractal Greatsword, but the repititive nature of Fractals is making me grow tired of doing them. Do I unlock more Fractal dungeons as I go along, or will I keep doing the same Fractals over and over?

Can anyone tell me how many gems I’d need for 300 gold?

So I just got into doing FOTM, and I made it to Fractal level 2. Before I had to leave my group, one member told me by doing a Fractal of my level or higher would level me up. So does that mean if I party with people on Fractal level 8, I can go along? Also, what is this odds = 3 and evens = 4?

Hi everyone,

I love GW2’s PvE. I think this is the first game, since RuneScape, where I’m actively involved in PvE rather than PvP. I have one issue with the overall game though, and that’d be FPS. My FPS clips so much because of low frame rates (e.g. 6,7 and 8 FPS).

I was wondering if there’s a solution to this. I play on a Dell Inspiron laptop. It seems it has intel core i5 and I run it on Windows 7. All help would be appreciated.

How do I start the process?

Hello community,

I tried logging into my account earlier today around 12 p.m. and I noticed my password didn’t work. I typed it in manually and it still didn’t work. I hadn’t changed my password recently and I had played within a 48 hour time span. I filed a ticket and Arenanet sent me a new password for me to log-in with, and since then I’ve reset my password to something completely new.

I logged into my main character, and I found my inventory wiped. My Tier 3 was gone, my weapons, and anything else with a price value. They left me with my armor and weapons I had on, and gem-store items. I’m assuming whoever did this left me with what I had so I could farm for everything again, and they could come rob me once again. The game experience has been great, but I’m not going to start playing again just yet.

I’ve heard of authenticators, so I’ll look into buying one of those. This is the second time I’ve been hacked in a game. It’s not a great feeling. I’m not going crazy over it, but losing items worth so much gold is really a devastating blow to me. Going to take a leave of absence for now. Hopefully something ArenaNet does will draw me back in. Good luck to everyone still playing. Take it from me, change your passwords regularly ^__^

Do Stand Your Ground and Hold the Line have a limit to how many players receive the boons?

I also stayed away from playing melee classes because it’s so close and personal. I looked over each profession and decided to start with Guardian.

I like being able to lead my party through monsters to ‘skip’ various parts of dungeons, and to bring their hp up and protect them from damage. ^__^

Was TA buffed? I’ve been wiping constantly at the first boss, and this is highly unusual. I was thinking that maybe I sucked or my party wasn’t all that great, but I have a dungeon master in the party now and we keep dying… Seems like infinite blossoms!

Why are you so fixated on escaping? To me that seems to be the underlying problem. With a guardian you have to be creative with escaping. Unless your enemy can remove conditions, use stability and run like the wind

p.s: you speak as if what you say is objective… your opinion is subjective. be open to what people have to say, otherwise you’re being closed minded (being egotistical is very negative)

I think you should drop pure of voice and get the aoe consecration that takes away all people’s conditions if you want to remove condis. For dungeons carry a scepter to swap from mace when you need range. That looks like the AH build people talk about

When do they reset? The wiki says (4:00 PM PST/5:00 PM PDT) so I’m guessing it’s 5 pm PDT. Am I right?

I’ve heard but read little about the AH build a lot of people use, but I don’t like the idea of having to constantly spread boons. The trait build I’m currently running gives me the passive ability to remove conditions every 10 seconds, strengthens virtue of resolve’s passive effect, lengthens retaliation by 25%, shortens the cd on signets, and makes it so 2H abilities recharge faster. You can see my utilities in the screen shot. I’m just wondering what everyone else thinks I should do. I see so many screenshots of character’s with high attack/armor and way more critical and critical damage. I know this is because they have 30 in valor, but when everyone is doing it, is gives the impression it may be the better choice. Help me out here, please
